Born as the Thirteenth Prince, Noah was originally in a position removed from the imperial succession, so he freely passed his time in the fief granted to him.

However, the Crown Prince died before the Emperor. The imperial succession would be fairly contested among the remaining princes.

Noah, being the strongest despite living freely, overwhelmed the other princes and eventually became the Emperor with the most power in the world.

Protagonist: Takes a sip of water.

"A-amazing! The 13th prince is able to drink without dribbling down his chin! Is this the grace of the royal family?"

"Oaaaaahhh! As expected of his highness: he realized that without water humans will die from dehydration."

... more>> "He was thinking that far ahead?! Incredible, such genius only comes along once every hundred years."

If the above seems like good writing to you, then look no further. I wish I could say I'm exaggerating, but the author acts like a few quotes he read in fortune cookies are the pinnacle of human wisdom. The protagonist will make the most ban*l observation or decision and then we get to spend the next four or five paragraphs having everyone present extol his virtue as an unparalleled genius.

The translation work appears fine, at least so far as I can tell, this seems to purely be an issue of a bad author and source material.

The story was like a trainwreck I couldn't look away from due to being transfixed with horror at the carnage, and I'm genuinely struggling to think of any positive qualities to it. I suppose the fact that the protagonist is a reincarnated peasant from the same world he's living in is mildly more original than if he were yet-another-isekai'd-Japanese-high-schooler. Are his memories as a reincarnated person even relevant to the story? Not really.

Give this a pass unless you're desperately bored, want to see just how bad it could possibly be, or want to read about how incredible a two dimensional protagonist is for absolutely every mundane thing he says and does. <<less

Honestly, I don't know what I've read. As the title suggests, the MC has been OP from birth, even he was blessed.

The problem is the character. If you read Kage no jitsuryokusha, Got Mistake as Genius, Overlord, you must be familiar with MCs who are mistakenly considered geniuses. This novel gives off the same vibe.

The difference is the MC here is "really" a genius. Yes, the Author tries to make a MC, strategist, politician, economist, martial artist, and other things. And............. he failed to do that.

Every time the MC did... more>> something, the people around him would scream how genius and wise he was. It's really disgusting actually.

I don't mind if Author is smarter in writing the MCs, but praising the MCs using other characters for trivial things clearly makes the side characters seem s*upid.

I'm serious. The side characters, even the emperor and the prince are very s*upid for praising the MC's "wise" actions which are actually very trivial, and even elementary school kids can think of it.

I thought it would be the same as Dull Prince when I saw the synnopsis, but it's completely different. In a worse sense, of course. <<less

I don't understand why people complain why MC is 100% Genius or OP and doesn't have any flaw. Its already stated in the novel title, The MC is blessed with strongest power and that include being Genius, why? Power is Knowledge duh. But experience is not. He also make mistake but author doesn't make it like big deal why? Every mistake can be counter and make better decision just like when he was appointed at Ministry of Justice, He can't control everyone and he knows that however in his... more>> Era is like Loyalty is above all, A good liege is almost like a God to masses, its better to serve a good liege than incompetent liege. Since the MC is a Prince, ofcourse everyone will be flattering and following him unless you LIKE to READ where a MC a PRINCE but doesn't have any power and reputation LOL.

The Story is fast pace but with longer words for chapter and that is okay. Not all MC's siblings mention or describe and I haven't read any of Mc's sisters. He is building a gathering competent subordinates and also planning to have a competent concubine just as what his Empress says about his duty as Emperor (I would like to promote his maids and Knights (as a concubine if possible why? To maintain power struggle if there is any in the future, I also doubt that He will promote them even they are talented enough)

MC also have plan to expand his empire but the problem is, they are short in finance. It will take time at the same time cleaning the corruption/crime in his empire. There is also heavy implied about diplomacy. What I mean is not about country by country, it also share the boundary between siblings (He got like more than 50 siblings if Im not mistaken including his sisters). MC and his father (previous emperor) doesn't wants a civil war to happen because it will crumble the empire faster.

Other says MC is a tr*sh. But I disagree. It was not yet implied clearly what about his previous life was but he have his previous life memories. Also the MC is not arrogant and brainless. He take cares of his people and loyalty. It almost like he is a manipulative but author doesn't make it like manipulation but in a form of stick and carrot but in a nicer way to earn his/her loyalty.

Before reading this novel, I recommend that you should have some idea of being a commoner, noble and also Royalty. Its a hierarchy, you can't just go and reprimand anyone with a title higher than you, Its death sentence in that era that is why the lower title they bow down and flatter anyone with a title higher than them. Its a common practice.

To summarize

I rate this Novel 5/5

I recommend this novel. MC is NOT BETA MC. He got goals but need times and subordinates he could trust and have firm of loyalty to him only. Just like the Novel title says, He is OP, very OP. Why? Because he have eyes to get a talented subordinates with unshakeable loyalty to appoint as Governors or Military Officials. (Think of it, you got Zhao yun/ Lu Bu who have unshakeable loyalty to you) [Its fiction Zhao yun/Lu bu and not base in history, Okay?] <<less

This is a very boring story. It started with promise however as you continue reading you will find out that the MC gets tons of praise for the dumbest things.

The main problem when writing your MC is 100% perfect character and ZERO character flaw is that its just that. It has ZERO flaws, so how can the MC grow?

The concept in general is cool. The fact that the more followers he got the stronger he got. In stories like this it is the adventure and the hardship that explains how... more>> a character develops, especially in this sense where a nation could be developed. Instead the MC gets handed down followers and instantly becomes SS class. Making the whole process moot. Then getting a OP weapon that further degenerates the character development.

Lastly, the overwhelm praise for the simplest task. The author makes it sound like the MC is a genius. Which is indeed true since it essence it is the author's story and this is what he/she wants. However, the way they did it was the most idiotic method ever. For instance instead of gaining that knowledge and growing (which is the definition of genius) he/she decides to make the most basic action with high praise. I get it, MC is a prince with a high chance of being someone who has high ranking. But why is the king also congratulating him for common sense things? It ultimately degrades the character. After ch 26 I could not read ch 27 anymore as it got too infuriatingly obnoxious. <<less

This novel is a good read but not the best experience I would say. It's good for reading to pass time if you cant find anything else.

It gives a little chinese novels vibe. You can say like it is little bit influenced from chinese novels. It's like 95% JP and 5% CN combo but its balanced so it doesn't interfere like some novels who tried this approach

Overall it's 3.5/5 stars for me.

Nothing to see here.

The summary already tells you the outline of the story and plot. So you already know how it is going to end.

Beyond that, as other reviews noted, it is just dumb. Like. The world the MC lives in the people are incredibly s*upid. MC is all big brains and gets flatter too much. Author spent too much time highlighting MC and holding MC's 'd' for him throughout the story.

Another tr*shy JP novel.

The premise was kinda interesting but the story formula got very repetitive and 80% of plot progression occurs when MC is walking down the street and stumbles upon an event. Also more than half of all problems are solved by throwing money at them, the MC will give various convoluted explanations to the awestruck onlookers but the end result is always the same.

There’s entire major characters that only exist to follow around the MC and ask him what he’s doing so he can explain it to the audience. Though despite... more>> those flaws I actually kinda liked the politics and “keikaku doori” moments from the MC.

My biggest problem with this series is the power scaling, from the moment the MC gets the demon sword in the first few chapters he never loses a fight, or takes any damage, or even has any tension. That in itself isn’t that big of a problem honestly, there’s some fun stories with OP MCs, but seemingly the main motivation of the MC is that he wants to raise his stats. Even when he raises his stats we never see it have any tangible effect on his abilities, there’s even a plot device that temporarily gives the MC maxed stats and it doesn’t have any noticeable effects on his fights.

Also this might just be me but I kinda liked the way the author wrote around all the ecchi stuff that you usually see in LN/WNs, the girls around the MC still fawn over him a bit though. <<less

Tried giving this a read after reading the manga and thinking it seemed alright but yeah while the story overall is okey and it's a fairly easy read there are a bunch of points that brings it down in the long run.

For instance the story and even the chapters themselves jump around a lot. For instance in one chapter the first third might be that the MC is going to a super important meeting and what happens during him going to the meeting but then it just jumps to him... more>> buying some artifact in a shop, like what happened to the important meeting?

One of the biggest flaws however in my book is the fact that the author reuses the whole the MC steps in but no one can recognize the MC trope over and over. It's pretty much the most reused trope in the story and seems to happen every 5-10 chapters at least once. Now at first I can understand it since he's just a six year old kid walking around and interferring with criminals. But then him fame and exploits just keeps growing and growing until he's the most famous prince. On top of that he has super recognizable features like having one blue and one red eye he also carries around a super distinctable sword on his waist and has been walking around doing patrols and inspections for years.

But still no on can recognize him and at first it's just criminals, then it becomes ppl who work for the government or the other princes, then it becomes the guards working for the ppl left in charge of the MC's domain then it even becomes the ppl in charge of the MC's own domain. Like I can understand if some random criminals don't care or know how the MC looks like but it's pretty much impossible for the governors left in charge of his cities to not even know what their boss face looks like especially when it's such a super famous and public boss. It would be more believable if the MC was shown as someone who shied away from the public or didn't flaunt his achievements, which to be fair he doesn't really do but the size of what he does and how everyone around him goes to flaunt it makes it impossible for ppl not to know.

So in the end I am unsure if the author just likes the whole random person appears and then turns out to be the biggest boss of all and smacks the person mocking the MC who they thought had no power or buisness with the things happening so much that they can't stop using it but they feel forced to escalate it each time or if the author thinks the reader won't question or wonder about this?

All in all I'd say the story is about 2.5-3/5 <<less

This novel suffers the typical "MC is overpowered for no explainable reason" fault. Luckily, however, that isn't the main drive at least as far as c32 goes. Instead of the fighting which is difficult to call it that, I am more impressed and interested in the political and intellectual work of the MC. He is smart and works things while thinking many steps ahead. Unfortunately, this intelligence gets somewhat pushed from the side characters as everyone praises him at almost every chance, which causes the feats to feel less appreciated... more>> (Kinda like forced laugh tracks in a comedy show). But otherwise, I recommend if you like intellectual dealings over just "fight and somehow win." <<less

I gave this a four to even out the score a little. My real score would be 3.7.

I don’t know whether it’s the author or the translator, but the writing is good. The story has high readability and smooth flow. It’s a five if you think about the fact that it’s a Japanese Light Novel, and let’s face it. Jap LN and WN tend to have writing styles that don’t translate well or need readers to adapt to it.

Story content and world building... 3.9. Some parts are better than others.... more>> The author really stick by the integrity of countries in the Warring Era. The only thing I would like to say is that although it is gleaned over it seems that this ‘state’ is new. Although the Emperor (Father of the MC) was the son of the previous Emperor, it is implied that there was a political/civil upheaval due to the royal families’ corruption. That’s why although the country seems to have long history and customs, the people and government are more accepting to change. The protagonist was born at a really convenient time. Just a note, the author is writing about a country in the setting of the Warring Era in 400 something BC, not the Sengoku Warring Era in the 14-1500s that most Japanese novels write about. That’s probably why there’s similarity to the Chinese novels that often use the Warring Period setting.

The author has a tendency to over explain somethings and undermine others. This might just be because they don’t feel the need to explain, maybe it’s something that Japanese readers would understand at a glance?

Character Development... 0. The MC is OP at birth, and an natural-born Emperor that’s just waiting to be thrust upon the throne by those around him. The side characters are more interesting, I want to hear more about the brothers. The harem is... realistic for the most part despite what others might say. The author does a lot to rationalize it though. Probably for the readers to understand the mindset of the people at the time.

The story process is... entertaining at best. Like a slice of life of a warring Empire...

So 3.7 not the worst, not the best. Okay to pass the time. <<less

So we have an OP protagonist, but no challenges for him that can't be overcome by other people.

We have a protagonist with lots of connections, but not much interaction shown.

The focus is on world building and setting development, it's kind of like watching a famous figure lecture people on his own life I guess. Emphasis on lecture.

I could have enjoyed the same story if it had focused on slice of life times and not all the overly complicated conversations about politics with overly simplified conclusions.

It's getting boring the time he got throne. I thought he going to be different from any other emperor but... It same shit. All subjects are all loyal to the point of being cringe. No character development and lack plot.

It's like the author was out ideas and just spent more time on every duties of emperor.

Overpower without any purpose of what is he going to use it for exactly.
