Tbh this novel is fun to read.... not perfect that's why 4 stars but not bad, while reading this do keep in mind that protagonist transmigrated in the body of a minor villain but his personality himself is more on morally grey side aka anti hero..

He does bad things too, so serve his purposes

Also I don't have problem with people giving it 1-2 stars as its each and everyone's taste and preferences in the novels they read, but there is a review from a user called "liyu" first of all... more>> I think people who use words like incel etc in their review of a webnovel are idiotic and most likely a twitter weirdos themselves.... they just find excuses to get offended and that's it but seeing his other reviews (which all of them are negative) he mostly use words like this or say things like it's unrealistic in a novel like Emperor's domination.... idk why is he expecting realism from a cultivation novel

Whatever, main point is that MC is a scumbag and anti hero, he does things which are morally questionable but that's the point of story and even his system to literally destroy "good" protagonists... <<less

I agree with just about everything the Translator said about this novel. Although I wanted to add something. The original MC is a arrogant petty scumbag outside of his medical skill and martial arts nothing is good about him. Sure the MC is bad himself but that guy makes him look a lot better in comparison as you read this novel you'll be start thinking that he deserves everything that the MC does to him the guy is a mentally unstable moron with anger issues. Try imaging the soldier troupe... more>> where the arrogant main character has woman left and right falling for him while he thinks that he's all but invincible while grabbing Thick thighs to help protect him as the story progresses except that in this story that guy isn't protected by the protagonist Halo and he gets what's coming to him. The MC's job is to slowly shave away at that halo and plot armor and not let the story progress as it was originally interned. The original MC was a mercenary and thinks that's a honorable profession he smokes the guys rude overly loud he's extremely arrogant and basically thinks of himself as god he's rude a f*cking rapist and frankly just a all around scumbag. His first ally is literally a guy who runs the underworld for gods sake he's also a petty moron hell he was arrogant enough to think a top level beauty from one of the 4 noble ladies in the city would like him based on looks alone hell if you remotely insult him he'll go overboard to get you back. The stories funny the heroines are a little bland but overall they have their own personalities and interests you will feel really really bad for how the MC treats his ex fiancée late on. The plots interest too overall a 4/5 the only reason I'm not rating this a 5/5 is because like I said earlier the protagonist and the ex-protagonist are scumbags and how they treat those around them can be frustrating at times. Another thing I forgot to mention is don't try to make sense of what's going on in this story because a lot of events don't make any form of logical sense. This didn't happen in the story but this is an example let's say your outside throwing rocks a rich person comes up you chat for a minute and all of a sudden you get a call that your company is almost bankrupt stocks are falling the guy who you just met because he had a single conversation with you would risk life and limb and spend millions just to save you that's the kinda unrealistic development you can expect in this novel for both the protagonist and the OG protagonist don't even try to think why it's just going to hurt your head. <<less

There are many "transmigrated into a villain" novels out there. They still can be interesting to read if executed correctly by author that had a good idea and skills to back it up. Sadly this is not one of them. First I have to say translators aren't at fault for low score in this one. It would be unfair to make them responsible. Translations were alright. So then why I think this novel is bad after reading to 76 chapters?

Premise: Villain reverses his destiny against protagonist with "halo o main... more>> character".

Execution: Villain with halo of main character is basically a protagonist on super easy mode.

Wasn't it a point of the story? I was expecting some struggle, fight with fate, great schemes and grave consequences. But it quickly became simple wish fulfillment self insertion with poor execution and boring plot. What's the point in creating a villain story when main character plays on easy mode with cheat codes. Instead of applying cheats to balance the odds in this novel our villain is like Mike Tyson fighting kindergartners 2v1 (2 as he and referee are on the same side). Is it interesting? No, not really.

Another problem is romance. It's chinese urban novel so there is romance and there is of course harem. Why authors force harem into their novels? I don't know. But somehow on average novels with harem are worse than ones without. Maybe that's a part of that wish fulfillment/self insertion. If it sells then that matters but for me it degrades the romance aspect a lot. Worse still it seems author's only contact in his life with female was his mother. Does people act as depicted? Hardly. Female characters are two dimensional to the core and all off them are depicted nearly the same. If you asked middle schooler in china what he finds attractive in women he will tell you the same lines used to depict attractive females in this novel. Maybe author is too naive but I expect realistic relations and not puberty-driven fantasies.

Last point is inconsequential "wealthy image".
Spoiler

He wears "limited edition philippe patek", cool. But all time one wristwatch? No matter the attire? And how the hell people on the street notice it right away like it's some new iphone everyone is familiar with? To the 76 chapter he also seems to wear suit to a lot of less formal outings. On date too? Come on. He drives RR phantom but doesn't seem to have a driver. When going shopping with one of the girls he goes to store to buy her a dress - one is worth 100k (I guess rmb) but it's ready made?

[collapse]
It's super inconsequential. If he wants to flaunt wealth at least make it realistic. Such minor details are important too.

Overall not recommended. Go and read better novel with villain theme or give it a try if you don't mind inferior execution of popular genre. <<less

Giving a low score because its a harem or because the MC acts like a villain is bloody ludicrous. Read the damn tags and title. That the MC treats the women as targets to be tamed should be surprising to no one. Unless you have room temperature IQ. That women act a certain way to please the man they like should also be surprising to no one, except for a certain reviewer who I expect is the pot calling the kettle black.

To be fair ppl who enjoy this will not care about this, but I just found this one sentence too casual for how disturbing it was: "shen lan smiled, with a young voice like a Loli about to be trafficked."

That is not a person, it's the system, but the casualness of that mental association of young girl voices to being trafficked that the author has for some reason disturbs me. Yes, it doesn't have the best writing and it's not supposed to. I wasn't expecting it too but man idk... more>> it rubs me wrong. It's hard to enjoy harem novels but I really wanted to w this one. Whatever. My opinion. Just dropping it. <<less

I've got mixed feelings about this one. Heads up the MC is definitely not a good person. He's a smart, manipulative scumbag. If you're into reading about a manipulative villain trying his best to survive, then I think this could be an enjoyable read. The plot points are fairly unique and entertaining.

I only dropped because I couldn't stand: ... more>>
Spoiler

how the MC would take someone else's gift and pose it as his own. I also don't really get how the harem would eventually work out cuz I feel like it should blow up in the MC's face due to all his lies.

Overall, the beginning was decent, but I couldn't stomach the rest. <<less

Just another generic system novel. Halfway decent so far no crazy nationalism just your generic rampant sexism where successful women should give up there billion dollar businesses to sit at home and wait on the MC.

Other than that it's halfway decent,

The novel is good and nice even its not perfect its more like a self satisfaction though we know MC is just following the plot but I more concerned of translation was slow update (im poor though I cant afford premium chapters just my opinion) I think thus the translation so far is good easily can point out and describing the characters and scene which make the novel nice.

Umm, so I'm just gonna say this out now, I really like this.

But it not to say it the best or something similar, it's just that I've been so sick of the goody-good shoe/the arrogant, pe*verted, xuanhuan (?) protagonists and the like so, this was somewhat fresh I'd say, since its an antihero protagonist facing a typical xuanhuan MC, which honestly, I'm quite used to now, so ya that was one of the reasons.

The second reason would be that my simp/ fetish for mature milf female lead won the romance... more>> part of the story. So there's this female lead who's basically a milf but, she's a virg*n (french kiss). And there are other female leads too, but ya, I don't really care much about them. So, yeah, that's about why I like this.

Of course, this is just my preference, I'm not saying that the novels I read are only the best. It's just that it meets my criteria (yes, I know, I'm a weird guy). Um, all in all, it's a pretty good read, so give it a try? But the translation is kinda slow tho, so keep that in mind. <<less

I originally plan to give this a 5 star, but I find the story a little slow... some chapters can hardly be called a chapter at all since it only consists of so few words and sentences.

On the bright side it is quite entertaining.

The thing that hooked me the most in this novel is the way that the MC is so genius in planning, especially when he is cornering the 'MC of the world' and manipulate the scenes behind that.

The turn offs in this novel is how viscious of a... more>> pupeteer he is in regards to the heroines especially the ice cold female president and the half blood beauty. If its in Ayanokoji level (courtesy to CotE [Classroom of the elite]) it would have been great but his toolification is too much.

In another perspective though I like his decisiveness.

Only problem and the main problem that I find annoying is his skill leveling in his system..... Some of his skill when the plot is convenient for it, he would upgrade instantly to god level and the next time he checked his status (a few chapters after) it would only be regarded as advanced level or master level, which makes it so much inconsistent...... him paying point for an upgrade using his assets/money is the same on which none of his money is deducted when he is checking his status after a certain upgrade.... The same goes for his accumulated counterattack points, but it can be regarded as feasible (im talking about him collecting a certain amount of counterattack points since he ignored the notification sound of his counter attack point when he is gaining a certain value or hin flirting with heroines to earn some but since not everything could be reported it could be said to accumulate behind the shadows.) <<less

Overall a fun novel in the genre, but doesn't do anything exceptional and has a few notable flaws.

For instance: The numbers mean nothing. By the time he has to use a stat or skill, he gets the points to max it out, and he will max out any skill he uses for maximum face-slapping effect. He'll even use it for face-slapping people he wants to be allies or harem members for some reason. Affection numbers are also meaningless given that we only know that positive is good and negative is... more>> bad. How the heroines act and think doesn't have too much to do with those numbers anyway.

Spoiler

One example of this: During the shooting contest, he only needs to score 10 points below the heroine to impress the hell out of her and everyone else, in fact, it probably would have been a better result that way. Instead, "oh, let's max this skill that I will probably never need to use after today" and win the contest with a perfect score.

[collapse]

For instance, we don't know anything about the main character's past life, except that he memorized every detail of that kind of novel including the favorite ice cream of a sub heroine and the exact painting another heroine wants and which park he has to practice Tai Chi in to impress the side character who has it. And has a waifu from the novel. And is still somehow an expert on love and the ability to manipulate businesses and various other abilities even without considering all the skills the system hands him for free.

For instance, it's all about the novel. There are countless beautiful women and opportunities in the world, but aside from the characters who were heroines in the source novel and the opportunities that the original protagonist had, this main character has no interest.

Spoiler

Once a certain bodyguard appeared as a possible "capture target" before he said "I'm not interested in her" to the system, I had to question why, say, Song Xuan or his cousin were never added to the list. Especially Song Xuan, who he flirted with heavily and actually seemed somewhat into, and who was very related to the main plot. And a wealthy billionaire businessman from a strong family with the talents he's shown could easily make connections without having to copy story events from the original novel, like the Tai Chi thing mentioned earlier.

[collapse]

For instance, the author constantly refers to 18-19 year old women (college students!) like they're children, including one 18 year old who for some reason thinks she still has a chance to grow big b**bs like her mom despite being flat at 18. Meanwhile the main character and several of the heroines own successful businesses in their early 20s like it's natural, and also have their parents worried for them because they're not engaged/married yet.

The main issue is just that the story isn't ambitious enough and just traces a generic [non-existent] urban harem story but lets the villain do the face-slapping and get the harem. It's still relatively fun, just full of holes; if you read it in a bad mood you will probably regret it, but if you read it in a good mood and can forgive the problems, it will be a good read. <<less

I enjoy this novel. The main character's actions to change his original fate of ruin at the hands of the original main character continue from beginning to end. I haven't seen him lose sight of his goal and he acts against the original MC at every opportunity. Furthermore, the process in which the main character sets up these counteractions is enjoyable, being fillers that prepare for the action. The main character is brilliant, utilizing his wealthy, influential background wisely, and, thank god, none of that cringy arrogant young master bullsh*t.... more>> I detest idiot main characters using their powers or money poorly, dissing the so-called "arrogant young masters" when doing the same thing. The one thing that I have against this novel is that THE CHAPTERS ARE SO SHORT. Please give us more, for god's sake. <<less

I really like the premise of the novel, since most of these villain MC novel usually have a female MC, which I really like at the beginning, but when its repeated for like 50 times, I started thinking, why is there none of this type of novel, but with a male MC. So the premise is something which I was really looking forward to.

there was some problem tho, as I saw the harem tag, I was already a bit awry with how the novel will go, especially since its a... more>> more modern type novel, but then I saw that it is CN, and for those who doesn't really read novels, at least these ones, you know that most CN novel, especially one with harem tag, or no female MC usually have a terrible objectification of women. I have been reading CN novel for a long time, so I was somewhat able to live with that, as long as its not too open within the writing, but then this novel started to grade the female character looks points, and that kinda feels super inappropriate and really lower my view of the novel

other Than that, the novel is quiet a solid CN modern novel, with system, generic opponent character, and generic side character. I would give this novel about 3.7 or 3.8 but since those doesn't exist I round it up to 4.

in conclusion, I think this novel is a really side-read while waiting for your favorite novel to update, as long as you can endure some of the somewhat sexist content, but if you really care that much about those kind of writing in a novel, why would you consider a novel with harem tag in the first place. <<less

the story is pretty nice it's not your usual weak to strong because he's already super rich and it's a fresh experience after all those underdog type story, just don't expect to much on romance because it's a wish fulfillment type of story.

but when you decide to read this translator's paywall will block you, almost 30 chapter different between free and a "donator".

So if you like world full of people who can scream in middle of the street how random rich guy is amazing beautiful and how expensive everything he has is - this novel is for you. If you think that random guy can be completely unperturbed by best girls, riches, and sociatey he never lived in - you will like it.

But if you want at least some logic, world with grown up people instead of kids, human like MC then look somewhere else

It used to be decent junk food but now it can't even manage that. The chapters are so short and contentless you'd have to stack at least 5 or six to get one chapters worth of another junk food novel.

To give you an example:the group approach a cat shop and walk in, one chapter. The MC pets a cat and the woman around him swoon, one chapter. The MC adopted one of the cats, one chapter. The group walks home and decided to go swimming, one chapter. The MC goes... more>> to a changing room and the woman around him swoon at the thought of him removing his clothes, one chapter. The MC come out of that changing room and the woman around him swoon at his torso, one chapter.

On and on for the last 200 or so of chapters. I think the original author ran out of ideas and is just milking it to buy time. <<less

I totally agree with Legendoras, everything he said is true.

Well, personally I think this novel had potential and all components required for a good novel, sadly it was poorly executed...

The MC's cheat is dumb, he can basically have any skill he wants to divine level by little efforts. He can aquire and boost his skills like this (basic => medium => advanced => divine level) maybe 1 more level but it doesn't matter, it feels dumbly OP, I can imagine when cultivation will be later introduced (maybe in chapter 3000... more>> lol) he will be like this (basic cultivation => up to divine or the like).

The pace is soooo slow, one annoying thing is that dozens of chapters are for a day or an event in a day, in "I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain" this is enough for an arc. Also it feels unrealistic, because even though the pace is slow but many things happen in a day, the author could have made those events in months and it would've been more believable how the heroines characters' development change. Also there are some young heroines, it would have been more logic if they were 12-14 and not 18, because they act like kids of less than 10years, also he went for one's mom so more reasonable to make them the age they act like.

One annoying thing is the censorship, it seems the author want a wide range of readers but he has to make unreasonable things to justify it, like the age matter, or sometimes he intends to show you hot ecchi scenes but they're not what they're truly are, it feels like I read a novel in mosaic, and other times it will leave you blueballed.

A really annoying and poorly executed novel.

This is basically a low grade version of I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain, you can't even feel that the protagonist is a villain, he seems like a protagonist than a villain.

I advise you to drop this and read I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain, and if you did read I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain, there's nothing here better to read just skip it. <<less

First 300 chapters are really nice, I like it but after 300 chapter it gone worse, MC shows his talent gained by system again and again and still he can't kill the protagonist and impress some girls, it piss me of when MC has to again and again show his talent to impress girls that is really irritate me or you can say repeat time to time MC have to show his worth then he can gain favourability of girls

How can a girl be so cold and talented at 20... more>> age, no logic, MC has to show 6 to 7 different type of talents to impress that girl and still favourability is low it don't make any sence

Everybody has different view to read but I feel really irritated after 350 chapter, and other girls who is not main female lead is also annow me after 300 chapter, MC becomes like a dog 🐕 just he have to entertain girls by any mean, solve their problems and doesn't have any time to enjoy himself, every time he has to stay alert of protagonist and play tricks

Their are some relax moment when MC was with cake shop manager (a female lead) but but whena 350 chapter the girls around female lead increase and that moments is also gone

This story is ruined around 350 chapter really annoying

He can't kill his first enemy in 400 ch so how much can anyone tolerate it <<less
