Read using MTL

This is a v sweet, kinda slow but not so slow romance between two adults. This book as a small element of 'love cures all mental ailments and emotional problems' but MC also seeks external help. MC is the one with some psychological issues due to certain acts of brutality at a young age. It's a beautiful healing book. Highly recommended.

I'm enjoying this one so far. The MC is the expressionless type but he's not boring and unemotional and the ML is sticky but not overly aggressive. The romance so far is very sweet.

Predictable and boring. Would not consider this good or bad. I was into this in the early chapters but as I go on I lost my interest very quickly, im sorry. I was struggling just to complete this. Total waste of my time, sleep and phone battery.I love the ML though. Two stars for him.

Dear fellow readers just dont take my words, read and judge for yourself. Maybe you might like this or not....... idk.

I thought the story was interesting at first - the ML is more sharp and fierce than the typical white moonlight, the MC is apathetic to his ex-boyfriend. It felt fresh and new to the genre, but what let me down later on is just how... juvenile their romance is.

Every story has its own distinct romantic taste and I can totally see other people being here for it. This one just isnt my cup of tea. To me this felt like third wheeling that one couple that kept making pointless... more>> conversations... like 'what do u want to eat?' 'idk up to u' 'no up to babe' 'no up to ' // while it's usually fun and cute sometimes, it's NOT fun and cute when that's literally 90% of their romance. I feel like I'm babysitting, and some actions/behaviours of them both just isn't appealing to me? Makes me want to roll my eyes and I don't think I've ever reacted like that to any other book cp before.

Its like watching them argue about whose getting whose water... to be honest I wouldnt be surprised if theres a scene exactly like this in the novel. Is there nothing else to write about? Nothing else worth while to mention/talk about? I really think it would benefit alot from abit of editing... in terms of content, it can be really boring and its mostly to do with how pointless these scenes are. And how the author doesnt want to skip anything; making certain chapters or scenes stretch out unnecessarily (the new years scene lasts for 5+ chapters... and nothing even happens)

Also a warning: anyone who's been triggered is valid. There's red flag tropes in the novel, and while I don't usually care about toxic traits in fictional characters - being triggered is still a thing, it does happen, so what's most important is self-protection.

I did get triggered by the heavy family emphasis in this novel lol. And the mental health stuff. That kind of f*cked me up and made me stop reading, so self protect. Just because it's 'healing' for someone else doesn't mean it's for you/everyone, so protect yourself first if you're not in the best state, even if you think you're at the best state- just make sure you're ok.

You can tell some of the authors underlying messages are still pretty immature and juvenile. Even if the content is nice and fluffy and interesting, if the bottom line is shallow the ending message is not that satisfying (execution is nice, but if the message is shallow then it can't make something out of nothing)

Of course theres good things too; the dialogues are convincing. The characters are all online with their own personality. I kept reading precisely because the dialogues were done especially well, the honesty and humor is fun. The pace of the romance is quite fast, you get alot of content in the first 20 chapters.

But yeah, to me its both bad and good. The dialogues are the best but also theres pointless dialogues that drags the chapter on and on uselessly as well. The characters are interactive but you dont feel anything good about them. Give and take I guess. <<less

Healing story.

I liked the dynamic between MC and ML.

And regarding the mental illness of MC, I think it's not emotional apathy, it's different from that. It's called numbness in most common language. After a period of continuous pain, everything will numb. But when you meet the person who suits your heart and accepts your all, gradually that kind of numbness will melt away. This is the concept of the story.

Good for reading once!!

I completed the mtl. For me who love to learn new things from novel, this novel is quite good as I could discover something like original artist, art department and more. Not specifically but they exist. For I've read many novel with actor/actress, models or singers as their MC/ML, this is new for me.

Overall, the storyline is good with a bit of fluffy and sweetness. I think each characters have their own reason why they act the way they are either it's correct or not. Except that s*upid useless ex... more>> boyfriend. I don't know why he's that confident despite constantly rejected by MC and ML. But he's like non existent after all so who cares. <<less

A very very good read. One of the best for quite some time too for me. Some might say that it's so cliched but the story is also magical. It makes me feel very happy reading it. I don't really know what to say except that it's astonishing how such a simple story can warm my heart this much. Totally recommended for people to read

I'm super addicted with this novel. The update is frequent and the story is when MC and ML attracted to each other and compliment to each other personality. Where MC seem like not care about the world, as long you not touch me, I don't care while ML is someone arrogant but they kind understand each other and perfect for each other even when both don't know each other name.

They have same kind off group but not know each other, so you kinda keep waiting what happen when they found... more>> out that ohh I always heard about you but never thought it's you.. Both also change each other, make the other do something they never do no matter how much people ask them. They are fate couple. FATE, DESTINY. <<less

Completed by mtl.

I like the story quite a bit. Yes, it's not perfect but it's not that terrible either.

Spoiler

There is a story behind Xie Ning's apathy. And in the process of falling in love, Mr. Blue Whale got to know Mr. Rabbit's scar. And he tried to help, even only by trying to ease Mr. Rabbit's insomnia by staying with him until he fall asleep. It's sweet.

[collapse]

This story got a little cliche plot going on. But still, this is quite sweet read.

Just a lil bit disappointed with the ending. I'm quite curious about how Xie Ning's parents, Yan Xi and even the ex-boyfriend (I forgot his name, orz) ended. Those loose end had not been tied nicely. <<less

I think your enjoyment of this depends on how much you like the couple. And I particularly, really really really like this couple. I know some people feel that after they starting flirting more their personalities changed too much, but honestly to me... it feels true to life about how you can become very different day to day versus when you are flirting with the person you are with. So I had no problem with that, I just found it cute and slightly relatable. The male lead is hilarious, I've... more>> got to say. <<less

Review

  • MC = very sweet, cold & detached cause of psychological problems tht occured via past, bunny like, smart, talented
  • In short, the MC is a very calming person who really follows life as it goes aka the flow yes.
  • ML = very doting to MC, unrestrained, "mean", unpredictable
  • ML has a much more smooth life compared to MC. His parents are a very cute duo too.
  • MC x ML duo/relationship = fluffy
  • like literally. MC can't feel emotions & identify them as it is due to his past and ML helps him out of it. ML is very patient and really they are like a old married couple. Very loving.
  • In short U should READ THIS NOVEL YAHHHH its really good~

I really like it so far. It is cute and fluffy but real at the same time, and although some things are strange (e.g. A psychologist discussing his patient with his boyfriend), the overall impression is good. The characters seem very real, and the pace is normal. This couple felt very refreshing, and I will be definitely coming back to reread it.

It's quite cute.

I do find the novel nice to read, but there are parts that I disagree with and make me uncomfortable. The ML did kiss the MC without asking for the first time, and it's really nice that he changed and asked if he wanted to kiss him after that. The ML also said 欠操 (which is a derogatory word, it might be OK in some situations, but the way he said it was a bit disgusting). The ML also did the "He's mine" kind of thing almost a... more>> few chapters after they met. Its honestly not that bad, and the ML did change better and less scary, but it was a bit uncomfortable for me to read. I think it'll get better though, in the later chapters. <<less

My biggest gripe is probably that the MC's and ML's personalities shift so much after they realise the other's identity that they basically become different people. I have less problems with this happening to the MC as his character (cold, aloof, and distant from the world) is set up as the result of traumatic experiences, and therefore change is positive. Having said that, some of the previous characteristics (such as not caring about what's happening on the internet, being ruthless to his ex etc.) were good and I appreciated them... more>> at the time and was sorry they were lost when he became a stereotypical soft/cute person.

The ML on the other hand... he's set up as being arrogant, artistic, visionary and above himself. This manifests itself as... a pickiness for foods -_-

I actually liked how psychiatrists [the psychiatrist that treats the MC] were portrayed in this, but that's only because my standards for CNs are so low (it's already good that the dude didn't misdiagnose him, force him to do some weird treatment, or aired his diagnosis to everyone who asked - while he did talk to the MC's friend and ML about it, he never betrayed the MC's confidentiality (even if, at times, he was skating on thin ice) and the main substance of their chats was instruction on how the ML could assist him in helping the MC). I also thought that the way it dealt with gay conversion therapy and coming out with a supportive family vs unsupportive was sensitively done (for a webnovel? At least it didn't sweep discrimination and h*mophobia under the rug and pretend gay people are universally accepted as so many novels do)

Overall, I thought there were plenty of positives, but the biggest and most substantial downside is that the characters depart from their character settings to become bog standard clichés. <<less

I took 2 stars because the early chapters are just upsetting for me. MC literally just met ML twice before knowing his name, AND HE DECIDED TO FOLLOW HIM TO ML'S HOUSE!! And they ate together, ML visited MC's house, ate together again, ALL WITHOUT HIM KNOWING HIS NAME. He didn't even suspect ML just because he lived in a rich neighborhood and the security was nice! And what about it? I've seen stories with handsome or rich men actually being twisted psychopaths and seeking pleasure from torturing someone! I... more>> can see the author deliberately dragging the revelation of their name to make it even more shocking. But it's just ridiculous. <<less

I had only read up to ch 12 and decided to drop this novel. It's not that the novel is bad but doesn't really suits my taste. The plot is visibly forceful and quite unrealistic to my liking. If you like rich dudes not caring about mudane world and unrealistic but sweet and fluffy love, this one for you. Otherwise, I suggest don't waste your time with this.

It's a sweet and silly story, not much drama. There's some lingering angst, a few attitude problems, but all in all, it's just a sweet and fluffy story.
