“Am I… back from the dead?”

Having lived off the remains of the monsters he had slain for a century, the food on Earth became a heavenly delicacy to him.

“Do NOT get between me and my meal!”

Judgment awaits those who disrupt the champion’s meal.

Now, let the feast of the ultimate reincarnator begin!

MC dies in a world fighting demons and is sent back to earth for a 2nd chance at life. While at the demon world he's yearned to eat good food again, so after being sent back to earth 10 years later, his sole reason for living is eating good food. This also leads to the MC doing s*upid things and getting bribed all for the sake of food. Some goon pissed off the MC so he had him become his secretary if he wants to live.

So far it's been a... more>> self fulfillment novel where the MC crushes anyone that gets in his way and his food; uncontested. Fights are bland and dull because he hasn't met anyone his match. Meanwhile the people around him are scheming behind his back, but he doesn't care about any of it as long as he eats good food. It's been pretty boring so far and a bit repetitive. Give it a try.. Or not, haven't seen any unique so far compared to the other novels i've read. <<less

This is a tr*shy novel it ruins my day just reading it well more like spoiled my day

It's just.. Like he tried to copy Seoul station necromance ignore the good parts inject Chinese wuxia and make the goal a typical Japanese meta.

I'd like to give good points but it's just so dumb haha

... more>> I wanted to give it a 2 but each time and just how he chooses to come about just makes me mad, mad crazy.

The author tried to portray 100 yo ancient gladiator like man ; spits out smelly fart tr*shy entitled 5yo kid the kind you know doesn't even know how to wipe his bu*t man.

I'd say this novel is for kids mental age or for people who haven't read that much novels. I was excited because someone said seoul station necromancer but it's really not. It's a disappointment.

I'll try to skim until the final to see if the author redeemed himself.

But if you have serious expectations for maturity don't be man.

Starts off very similarly to Seoul Station's Necromancer, but isn't as compelling. The plot's not very exciting, and none of the characters are all that interesting.

It is a food tour in the form of novel and such. The novel give a lot of detail about food and restaurant. The detail was much to the point that a reader would feel hungry while reading. Aside from that, overoll story was quite good so far.

This novel could have an alternative name: 1001 meals (as in like 1001 nights fairy tales book), as seen from that support character POV. So far it’s quite a funny read, but do not read when hungry or your fridge is empty or late at night when you shouldn’t eat... then this novel will be a torture like read beside it being light and fluffy so far

So far it isn’t bad, but the MC is so OP that it’s missing the desperation/drive that really sells this genre to me.

The MC doesn’t really have any goals apart from eating good food. So I got bored... hence the 3 stars. Wasn’t really far enough that I can give it a lower score.

For the first half of the novel, plot is rinse and repeat, not really interesting at all. Then the second half of the novel was slightly more interesting but also not really. MC eats a lot of food, prepare to get hungry while reading. (ˉ﹃ˉ)

My personal opinion:

... more>>
Spoiler

I feel like the side character/2nd ML (Ho Sung Lee) had a better character development than the actual MC (Min Sung Kang) himself. The side character probably went through a 180 because MC was too boring, so they shifted half the focus to him. The side chara went from a greedy bastard to hardworking high moral integrity housewife... MC even refuses to take our love interest (Ji Yoo Kim) on a trip because he says he wants to eat homecooked food from Ho Sung. MC shows zero interest in possible love interest, the love interest is also weak af, side chara is 200% more suitable a love interest lol. Also slightly aroused my BL cravings :D

[collapse]

Serious opinion:

Spoiler

-The MC does not show any personality, he is just cold and sometimes pissed off when other people disturb him when he's eating. He also doesn't treat side chara well, although he's probably the only human contact in the demon tower. His only emotions are calm, pissed off, occasionally kind and eating food. MC is abstinent and doesn't show any interest towards possible FL, so absolutely no romance.

- The power level system was disappointing, they have a level cap which after a certain level, they just won't display levels anymore. It's like the S-rank/class title in other dungeon stories, there is a huge gap between MC and other "non leveled" people. MC's level is constantly above opponents level way too much, can't even see how much he improves.

- His pet, Bowl is just pretty meh. It doesn't bring much to the table, just another loyal supporter of MC. It can revive dead enemies as allies, basically the same as every other novel.

- My fav chara is the side chara, cause MC just didn't do it man, he was really OP and had 1 dimensional personality. Side chara started off as a cannon fodder villain, recommends good restaurant so MC keeps him. Side chara is a nanny, butler, secretary, chef, servant and representative for MC. He cooks, manages his money and handles public affairs for the MC but surprisingly is paid accordingly. (His annual pay is like, 1 trillion? idk)

-Dungeon concept is also the same as every other novel, with an additional tower dungeon and another fantasy world, which are also common concepts in fantasy novels.

-The MC eats a lot of food, hence the title "Three Meals of A Reincarnator". Many descriptions of delicious food, not relevant to the plot tho

OVERALL:

This novel surprisingly made me fond of, despite it lacking a lot of substance. Recommend if you are really bored or just want a light novel to read. Plot isn't thick but also isn't totally illogical, translation is good. <<less

Great novel for those interested in a badass MC with minimal emotions. Having been trapped in the demonic realm for over 100 years, he has one thing in mind: food. Nothing will stand in his way when he's hungry, and death is honestly the best thing that can happen to you if you do. The reason I rated this 4 stars is due to the ending, which leaves a lot of unanswered questions in my opinion. Of course I don't hate an ending that leaves a lot open to the... more>> imagination, but there needs to be some kind of distinguishing pathway for this imagination to blossom.
Spoiler

Where is our MC going next? Who is the great god? Will Min Sung get together with Ji Yoo Kim?

Overall though, a fantastic read that will have you punching the air, scrunching your eyebrows, and most definitely smiling from ear to ear. <<less

Good Translation -> Check

Powerful MC -> Check

Decisive & Cool-headed MC-> Check

... more>> CONS:

Level System -> Only shows up in initial chapters and not so frequently. The actual power of MC and his subordinates are mystery. A big minus from me!

Villains are s*upid and braindead as usual as seen in many novels. *Sigh*

Not much of the Game Elements can be seen.

There were lots of stuffs missed out in the ending like what happened to Beatrice or where will MC go on the journey or who is that great god?

Overall Conclusion:

This is a good novel when you are like really bored and looking for some timepass. There are lots of food described in the novel, which will definitely water your mouth! The MC is overpowered to a huge extent, well there is a good reason for that but still it's way too overpowered. The world controlling part during the 300ish chapters was laughable and s*upid! There is no romance on the MC side (unless you count the 101 blind dates of a goblin). <<less

This book originally copied a lot of its plot points from another similar Novel and attempted to make the story's world foundation more concrete and logical. To an extent, it succeeds. But on the other hand, because it lacks the spontaneous comical idiocy of the other novel, this book is quite unexciting. Nothing happens that throws the protagonist in a loop. The protagonist had no goals or world desires aside from eating good food, so this book is like a monk's food journal. The plus point is that the protagonist... more>> is a foodie! The exposition really captures the unique experience of tasting and savouring each meal.

But aside from that, the book can be quite plain. After a while, the protagonist's apathetic nature doesn't change which makes him a bit annoying. His sidekick is more fun to read about. <<less

A very unlikeable main character.

I really didn't like the way they did the food. Like its always him liking the food and always saying its the best. Just got old really fast, could have made it more interesting.

Honestly just a very boring and repetitive novel.

Very poorly made. No character development since most of them had brain dead including supports and antagonists. Protagonist was terrible characteristic even for the 100 years struggle. This what happen when you mixing korean style and chinese wuxia style, very little breather and antagonists weren't smart that made you think why they still can be on top of the food chain despite their idiotism. Although it was law of jungle rule, it doesn't mean you can put every characters to be disposable tr*shes like that.

The MC is really OP and pretty interesting.

The idea is kinda similar to Seoul Station's Necromancer but minus the army of undead part and in my opinion SO much better.

I don't really care about the food part but I guess its kind of interesting if you like that stuff
