This novel makes me feel dirty. It feels I just dived into a mind of a person with multiple personality disorder and being bombarded by all of the voices inside it’s head.

The story is all over the place. It’s like the author doesn’t know what to write and throws everything to the wall and see what sticks.

I would honestly recommend this if you want to feel what it’s like to be a crazy person.

All I want to do now is sign myself up to an insane asylum and ask the... more>> caretakers to take me to my room and throw away the key. <<less

Despite only being 28 chapters in, this is without a doubt 2 stars, at one point I was debating 4 stars not because of any tangible reason like plot or writing ability but just because of the absolute cluster huck that it is, but give it a read, because why not.

Its poorly written first of all, even taking into account that its translated the parts that are translated are a bit of a mess.

The plot jumps about here and their, characters are picked up and dropped with no rhyme or... more>> reason, which is disappointing, scratch that annoying because this could have been a 5 star plot is the author was in such a rush to get their ideas out.

It reads like the fever dream of a teen age boy, its honestly so confusing, nothing has impact because it all happens so quickly and you dont get any character development, they're all pretty boring.

Spoiler

when he goes to space he worries about missing school not the random girl he call his parnter (for god knows what reason, she doent even have a personality)

[collapse]

Read it because for some reason you just need to see it for yourself, but dont expect anything out of it. It will make you appreciate the formulaic nature of most of these novels. <<less

I just want to throw this out there: the plot, the writing, and the characters are HELLA obtuse. They are all incredibly hard to follow if you want to know what's going on. That being said, it's actually really fun if you 'turn your brain off'. Most of the time when I hear that it's like for low-quality gags, or stuff that requires way too much suspension of disbelief. Here though, it's because the author is just... bad.

Which is ironic because I adore this. No seriously, I would qualify the... more>> author as 'bad at writing'. The plot is nonsensical. Stuff happens for no apparent reason. The MC is OP as sh*t, yet somehow is lame as f*ck. He's like a super passive observer in a gag-manga, except he's the MAIN CHARACTER.

It makes no sense why I love this so much. It's great.

But seriously, you really do have to turn off your brain and stop thinking 'WTF just happened' 'that makes no sense' 'where the h*ll did that trope come from' 'why am I still reading this garbage of a plot?'

Lol yeah. Just turn off your brain from all those comments, and you'll find a ridiculously fun story, where literally every single character is a cameo or callback to every mythology ever, with every single cultivation, gamer, western fantasy, eastern fantasy, Noblesse, etc.... all those systems/tropes/abilities/cameos... are all in one hodgepodge mix. Honestly, if the author actually could string together two coherent thoughts IN A ROW, I'd totally say this is the greatest thing ever. As it is, the setting itself is fun.

I know without a shadow of a doubt that you will either love this or hate this. Definitely no inbetween. Either you get lost in how bad some aspects are (totally valid, tbf), or you'll manage to look beyond that and fall in love with it as I have (equally valid, but frankly I bet you won't lol).

Give it a shot! <<less

I nearly got motion sickness trying to read this novel. The MC is being tossed from scenario to scenario, and the plot doesn't even make sense. The novel reads like some sort of horrendous fanfic. I usually try to read at least 100 chapters before dropping a light novel, but I think I may have died from the bs that was flowing into my mind if I had not dropped it by chapter 25.

The first 20 or so chapters are TERRIBLE, but it gets better after he leaves Earth.

This is a space adventure with intergalatic wars, Mechas, magic and cultivation. Just saying because the summary and first 20 chapters will give you a completely different impression, and I almost quit because of it. I'm sure most will think the same.

It's not a 5 star novel, but I gave it for balance, as it's currently score is unfair (3.9), and I've seen a lot of crap with 4.5+ on NU. As far as... more>> the current wuxiaworld novels go, this one is more original and deserves more attention. Just remember the first 20 chaps are crap and could be turned into 3 without any problem.

Also, Mecha novels are so rare that I'm inclined to follow for that reason only. Too bad they added cultivation to the middle, but it's still fine. I'll update the review once there are 100+ chapters, but don't pass this up based on the premise and the first 20+ chapters. <<less

This story is the result of an anime loving kid wanting to write their own story so they added every anime concept they could into one story.

There's a secret society of magic with gods and fantasy. But also a galactic empire with mechs and superpowers.

The characters are are unironically cliches. An MC who just wants an ordinary life / can see statuses / elite gamer / the best strategiest / god tier mech pilot / with a mysterious past / etc. A little brother who looks like a girl with... more>> a dark past. A magical girl, a martial artist tough guy friend, a princess crush, onee-san spy superior, an ai servant girl, etc. Full of nosebleeds, stuttering, misunderstandings, etc.

Pick any concept/plot from almost any kids anime and it'll be in this story, for a couple lines before it jumps to the next concept.

I really can't recommend this to anyone. <<less

It's unfair that it is given such a poor review just because of the initial chapters and also because the narrative is based on the MC's perspective. What would you expect if the narrative is in such manner, everything is thoroughly explained? Of course it is not.

Anyway, it starts to have a good pacing and building after the initial chapters where most of the features and core plots of the novel was dumped.

Some people were rating this quite lowly maybe because of the "clusterf*ck" that was Chapter 1-20. For me it's not that convoluted, it's just that events were so fast and there were so many unexplained terms that were suddenly dropped on the MC at the beginning.
First of all, the narrative was based on the MC's point of view so expect some things to be a piece of unreliable information since all of it was based on MC's subjective thoughts.
Don't worry though since after some chapters things were slowly... more>> being explained so just be patient.
Also if you're a fan of Rokujouma then you'll definitely like this.

Spoiler

About some comments about a virg*n Mary complex, clearly, he didn't really read between the lines that well.
His mother has the bloodline of a Great Witch and with the power of Foresight and because of this, she could be an immortal being.
The reason why she died was that she chose to give birth to the MC and to leave a trace of herself.
Based on the explanation of the Magician Girl, a Great Witch can't have a child so she's pretty shocked that she met the MC. What this means was that she had done something to give birth to the MC at the cost of her life.

[collapse]

I rarely write a review but I'm doing so now since I think it's unfair to rate it this bad when I'm really hyped about this. I think it's too early to judge it, especially when there's still a lot of chapters to be translated. Do give this a try, I guarantee that you'll like it, especially after he got to Space. <<less

It's a pretty good novel and definitely worth reading. I just don't think it's for everyone because, the proganist can be dense or naive quite often. It may make sense most of the time but it's not a good feeling seeing a rookie make rookie mistakes, and sometimes that's funny af.

I regret reading this novel. People say the MC has no ambitions and motivation. That is true. What did I do? I ignored it of course. I liked the premise. It was promising. While it was a jumbled mess filled with different genres then using a blender to mix them, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Until I noticed a glaring problem. The author just loves putting random scenarios that readers wont expect and think "Wow! They wont expect this, its not cliche! Readers like surprises right?!" Well, its true readers... more>> like surprises but there should be at least a reason for the surprise.

Now, why is the surprise bad? Its because it has no impact to the story. It just happened. Thats right! It just happened! Enemies that were important to the story and referred to as an enemy during one arc is suddenly no longer relevant. There was no conclusion. We hear nothing about the results or if they did any action to punish the enemy. Nothing. Characters that feel important are suddenly abandoned and forgotten. Important characters are not fleshed out. They're just like they did this, they did that. The author also implies that their enemies are trying some super intelligent political maneuvers that MC breaks because he knows what they're planning! What are they planning? We don't know since author wont even tell us about it. Just know that their plan is dangerous!

Scenes also just randomly happens. Imagine creating a story about walking down the road then ninjas invade, but wait theres more a super ultra mega duper strong aliens also there to fight but wait theres more there is also magic but wait theres more?! Its fine if done properly but atleast elaborate not just introduce a vague concept then never mention it again in the story!

If you hate stories that leave lots of questions unresolved, then this isn't for you. This novel actually leaves you with more questions the further you read.

Spoiler

Why was there a spy in the Albatross ship? What was her purpose? Why was she even there? This was never answered.

Why did the princess have troops in a distant galaxy? What was its purpose? How did she suddenly have troops from another empire? What did the dream mean when she became a man? Can she freely switch genders? Or was that a product of nightmare and only a symbolic representation? It was never answered since author cant be bothered.

Why was Bo-ram hostile to the princess when she wore the armor. What did it mean when she used a golden light ability? Why was she no longer hostile to princess after the alien war? Where did the armor go? Why wasn't it mentioned anymore? What is happening on the side stories? Why are the side stories even there?

Why did the nobles try to kill the princess? Where did the Morne guy that was being tortured go? Why did he suddenly disappear? Why did the empire not do anything when one of their 7 strongest fighter died? Who killed the emperor? Questions just keep piling up. At this point, I gave up on finding the answers since author clearly don't care.

[collapse]
The straw that broke the camels back is actually the ending of Volume 1 that it made me regret reading this novel

Spoiler

MC massacres a whole city since he is an emperor and needs to set an example to those who try to kill him. He kills even innocents! But wait he is a good guy! Why? Because it is his another personality imbued with divinity that did the deed! Then after doing it MC crowns himself emperor and gives his title to his fake wife. I was expecting this but what I was not expecting was he also gave his powers to protect his fake wife! His reasoning is because he wants to go back to high school. Get this, the MC has plethora of really strong enemies, but he just gives his power like that and tells other people to do their best to protect him. He then divorces his fake wife and goes home. You might be asking what happened to development about those really strong divinity and strong clans that was built up? I don't know! Since clearly the author just built them up for no reason then proceeds to never mention it again! I was thinking maybe volume 2 would answer it. It didn't. Maybe in the future it will? But knowing that the novels ends in 250 something chapters and Im already at 3/4 of the story I doubt it.

Translation is really good though. <<less

A confusion of the highest order.

That's how I would resume the first 24 chapters I've read.

A bit of chaos in the story is ok if the MC is asking the right questions and is worried of the hell going on arround him.

... more>> But not with the MC of this novel. Nope. This one doesn't really give a damn about the mess happening arround him and even managed to sound annoyed when other characters tries to explain him the world principles...

He is the perfect uninterested MC, and in such a chaotic story, it quickly gave me a huge migraine after I tried to understand what I was reading: the author mixed up several plots and characters in a very forcefull way in the span of few chapters without carring if the reader has understood his storyline or not, if there was something to understand to begin with...

I tried to read beyond the first 20 chapters as some reviewer suggested, but even after 4 more chapters, everything is more confusing. And the "random" encounter with "Ares" was the cherry on the cake.

I will sound like a dic*head, but this novel should have never seen the light in the first place and should have stayed in the Author's schizophrenic brain!

I rated 1/5 just for the good work of the translator who deserves my respect to be able to translate the mess in each chapter! <<less

5 stars.

Look. Here are some caveats:

  1. This is NOT for the NEW reader to the concept of wuxia, magic, mecha, high science and low science, harem, comedy, OP MC, OP character mixed mash of characters. So if you're the reader who has ONLY read 1 of the genre I just listed... STAY AWAY. Because you're gonna get confused quick. SUPER quick. This is actually a really deep and more mature form of story telling that I've had to pleasure to randomly find on wuxiaworld website.
  2. If you still think you're a 'Senior' of the different genre's, then dive in, cuz it's a ride alright. If you're not a 'senior' and more like 'noob' to this whole world of webnovels and tropes and genre. Skip this.
  3. Overall I liked it, I've read them all. I'm an old madao of this stuff. So I did find the humor, action, drama, mystery all pretty good. Really reminded me of Durararaahahahraha? (not sure if I had enough 'ra's' in there) with its mixed mash of different stories and genres. Yet you get a cool and refreshing take on the look of them too.
So give it a read if you dare.

Ok, this is the first time this has ever happened but I actually got an headache before I even got to chapter 10, but I still kept trying, after all every novel, no matter how bad the reviews are, deserve a chance. But boy did I regret it. It was too much information in too little time. All of a sudden, he's about to be recruited into an army, all of a sudden, his mother is a witch or something. All of a sudden he's attacked by aliens. All of... more>> a sudden he left earth, just because everything about his destiny had been decided before he was born. And all these happened in a day? Nah too much information causing too painful of an headache. It was bordering on being ridiculous. <<less

The Korean version of World's Apocalypse Online. Mecha+Sci-Fi+Superpowers+Game Elements+Magic+Cultivation all tossed in for good measure. The story has a great premise and setting, a lot of creative ideas are thrown in. However, the writing is terrible. It constantly dumps too much onto the reader and the narrative jumps are erratic and disconcerting. I found myself skimming past entire paragraphs because certain sections are overly detailed whereas others are completely glossed over. The main character can be inconsistent and unnecessarily grating on the nerves of the reader which is a pain... more>> but this is still a fun binge if you can learn to skim through all the unnecessary fluff. <<less

Severely mediocre. Seems like an off-brand version of These Dangerous Girls Placed Me Into Jeopardy.

Suffers from being absolutely all over the place and having what seems to be no sense of direction or planned out storyline. Expect to try to follow a side character or side plot to completion, only for them to drop off the face of the map.

I started reading this partly bc of some of these reviews calling the plot extremely complicated and difficult to follow and others saying you need some sort of actual "experience" reading novels of similar genres before trying this one...

Needless to say, if you are unable to follow the plot, then either your reading comprehension is at an elementary school level or you just haven't really read through the chapter but just skimmed it and found yourself lost. Others have complained about the pace of the novel which I feel is... more>> a fair critique as the novel does run through what would seem to be 100 chapters of plot in other novels in the same genre in around 5-10. I've read around 60 chapters by now and I have only had trouble following along at exactly one point in the novel where the author switches up the perspective and the TL did not make any indication that there was a change in the POV. This confusion was cleared up within the minute as I simply reread that portion of the chapter and picked up in the next chapter where the narration returned to the MC's POV.

First of all, it's has all the cliches just for lolz... But being honest for now (c32) it works.

I would say the first 30 chapters are the introduction of this space adventure to find out who the hell our MC is. (or more precisely where he comes from and what fate has in books for him)

With some game-like real Mecha backstory, with magic, aliens, Gods, and transcendental humans in a mix. So I suggest reading it at least until you know you like it or not.

Spoiler

About his parents and one of the comments mentioning the virg*n Mary complex. His father straightforwardly lied, because at the end he said he is his son, just not to his face, but after he left. :)

The premise was that he would have died (because of his fate) on earth if he hadn't told him that lie.

I believe he was born as an avatar or reincarnation of God of knowledge, but his father was one that he had known all his life. Just that he hasn't told him everything, because it's his fate, and it might do him more bad than good/or his mother prophecy would not work, etc.

Pretty interesting. Since lets be honest when do we get space operas these days with a touch of fantasy. The story is kinda weird sure since they are alot of plot holes in the start like who/what (which I bet it will be explained hell its only 28 chapters) is the MC but overall I like it :D

The writing style is very scattered, and the plot is also all over the place, with lots of new/non sequitur information constantly being thrown in. It also has a very chuuni feel to it.

I can see why some people like this, but I definitely understand the middling rating. Not my cup of tea.
