Thanks a lot translator for introducing such a good story.

I really liked the story. It's refreshing. With her golden finger the MC try to change the original plot of the story and she succeeded.

MC truly used the system to her advantage. It's so funny. I really enjoyed the story. The ML is quite pitiful. MC seriously abused the ML (comedic way and also emotional way).

Spoiler

I really loved the way the Fake Sister (snake dance) and the Male side characters suffered in MC hands. And also the villain. He deserved it.

After she died, she was given a second chance to relive her life and a golden finger--a system that can change the plot line.

MC was kept by ML because of his 'obsession' in her last life to the point she had no freedom. This made her hate him so much that in her second life, she wanted to kill/avoid him at every chance she gets!

Spoiler

ML was kept by MC not bc of obsession, but because ML was protecting her.

[collapse]

Unexpectedly though, the numerous attempts of changing the plot took a comedic turn.

If you need a good laugh, a school life story with romance, give this story a chance! :) (Will update once I've completed translated this.) <<less

Basically in the story is one of my biggest pet peeve that is

Spoiler

everything was a misunderstanding. No, I mean everything like everything. Apparently even the male lead going crazy for her and locking her up. That reason was that was his pe*verted uncle was trying to kidnap her and r*ped her. Making him paranoid every second of the day that his Uncle was going to kidnap her. So he thought kidnapping her to keep her safe with the best option.

I know there's some brain cells missing in that logic. I do not like how much misunderstanding in the story.

I also have a vague understanding that maybe the first story was controlled by someone else who was s*upid and made all the characters act s*upid. So it ended a star cross lover tragedy with it ending with the female lead getting reincarnated to trying take revenge on the male lead and then her not being able to kill him and then he killed him self

[collapse]

Besides that the story actually is good I have a lot of funny moments and if you stick to the ending you see why the male lead is kind of redeemable.

Spoiler

but the misunderstanding kill me especially since the author made such an effort to make the reader understand why you should hate the male lead. But for it to all turn out to be a misunderstanding just blows my mind honestly could've been better at hinting that it was a misunderstanding from the beginning.

This novel was written by someone who obviously loves novels. Author has all the tropes and problematic characters - but also an obvious affection for the un-named buddies and side characters. Heroine Chu Yin slides into an alternate novel reality and - surprise! - Finds herself the broken white moonlight of a psycho. What I loved is that she really changed herself by her own effort but what I disliked is that she ignores her own dreams of “normalcy “ in favor of the plot’s HE. Wrote this review for those who wrote bad reviews.

READ THE WHOLE STORY FIRST BEFORE YOU JUDGE OK??!?!?!?!

I know the ML was indeed portrayed as a typical paranoid possessive person towards MC but all of it was explained in the later chapters. FL did hate ML because of what he did to her but all of it was also resolved since there were a few misunderstandings between them because of the rules of the world they are in. Ehhhhhhhh just readddddddddddd the novel then you'll understand. That's all I can say.

And... more>> you, a person who haven't yet read the novel and is currently reading reviews,

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FOR YOU TO REAADDDDDDDDDDDD

It really does earn that comedy tag and that's why you read this novel for the comedy.

There's a lot going on in this novel, first off the authors has shamelessly ripped off, "I just want to freeload off your luck", "After rebirth the scum all cry for forgiveness", "Fake Villain Turned into a cannon fodder", and some laughing gas put them in a blender and hit liquefy. All the elements are there, lost child brought back to the family, campus drama, learning system, wealth p*rn, reincarnated characters, and comedy lots... more>> and lots of comedy. Thankfully everything serves as a comedy delivery system because otherwise it just would not work. So don't go reading this with any expectation but laughter.

The novels one problem is that towards the end it tries to be a romance and really doesn;t do a good job. The novel works best when the MC is doing things to make the ML miserable snd worst when it's doing anything else <<less

Just want to make it clear that ML did NOT r*pe MC in the beginning when the MC was locked inside a room (or house, I don't recall). In the extra chapters, MC explicitly mention that ML did not harm her when she was inside the room, just refused to let her escape (although he did say those dumb things lol).

I'm also not saying it's okay to lock someone in a room for any reason, but the reasons were explained multiple times in the later chapters and the extra chapters.

Spoiler

I think basically you can think of it as: The "previous life" that MC is talking about all the time is a novel, and everyone is simply a character inside the novel. ML wanted to explain himself and the reasons why he was treating MC that way, but the "script" won't let him. ML's character/personality/attitude in the novel is all fixed and does not allow ML to be OOC under any circumstances, so he ended up being a b*stard like the novel wanted. Back to "present time", they're still in a novel, but MC has some sort of control (otherwise why did everything have a script already?). However, in the later chapters, MC gets a chance to write the ending as a reward, so after she wrote the final ending to the "novel", everyone is released from the "script" and aren't restricted anymore.

But this is my own personal understanding lol, so I could be wrong.

[collapse]

Reasonings above make me understand why he did it. I don't agree with it, but as part of the plot, it makes sense. <<less

You know what, I never thought I would like this novel. This is basically a second chance story. What all was happened before was due to misunderstanding and... miscommunication. In their first life the FL was basically an ignorant and the ML was restrained by that world's 'rules' and he couldn't tell anything to the FL. Gave this 4 ratings because it's not so satisfactory (all those system cheats and such aren't for my liking) but thru the chapter 40s it's become interesting LOL (I read as the tlr translates... more>> then mtl-ed it) <<less

I'm a little sad because this novel had a good start but everything seems to fall apart as the chapters went on.

The first thing that was starting to boring me was the cheats the MC was receiving: her looks so gorgeous it takes breath away, her unbelievable intelligence, her victories in every competition she participates in, her enemies can't deal with her and so on.

The second thing I didn't enjoy was the ML, he is so perfect too to the point of boring too. There are such a nice guys... more>> in the novel like Son Zhaolin or her brother's best friend. I don't get it why the author sticked with this dull ML <<less

If you want a novel where love can make you forgive despite all the hateful things that have happened, then this is the novel for you.

It's the first story I've read that has a quirk of rewriting the novel that they are in. It's unique and executed well. I like the character development throughout the story. It's heartwarming and the messed up events that happened in their first life were given justice by the author.

Note:

Per today, I saw that the translation for this novel wasn't finished yet because in the MTL, there were total 78 chapters in this novel so I had to mtl the rest of the chapters for the ending. Now onto my review.

I think ML in this story was a bit pitiful. Imagine, you're a character of the novel and someday your consciousness was awaken but you still had no power to change anything because the power of the plot prevented you to do so. It must feel awful.

Spoiler

The novel plot wanted him to be a paranoid ML who abused MC because of possessiveness. He actually wanted to resist being that kind of person but everytime he defied the plot, he would be tortured. He also wanted to warn MC about it but everytime he wanted to say anything, the plot would automatically seal his mouth. So in his past life, he could only despair alone.

[collapse]

MC was also a victim from the dog blood novel plot but I think she's a bit too shortminded and emotional.

Spoiler

In the beginning, when she knew that she was a character in the novel and all the characters were influenced by the plot, she should realize that ML's past behaviour should be the result of the novel plot. She should know that ML, like any other character in the novel, had no power to change the plot like her. But she wasn't able to think calmly and blamed her every misfortunes entirely on ML. Shouldn't she blame the plot and the power behind it first?

I knew she was traumatized so she could only remember bad memories about ML but if she could think calmly, ML wasn't always bad to her in the past. He took her to study together and even teached her a martial art. All of it were so she would no longer feel inferior because of her humble background and her mediocre achievement. And all those knowledges were proved to be useful for her in her current life. But all of his kindness were forgotten by MC and she even proudly attributed her success solely on her own ability. Oh please, if in the past ML didn't take her to study, she wouldn't have a foundation to achieve a great result in her current life. There were also her golden finger which made her easily memorize her lesson and improve her logical thinking. It's basically a cheat.

[collapse]

Fortunately, they're given a chance to start over and they could avoid the tragedy from happening again.

Spoiler

They ended up together again, freed from the plot's restraint.

I like it, giving it 4 stars

I feel most people here forget that this world is in a book. Meaning everyones actions are based on the Author and even the MC cant change the personalities of the characters the author has created. I understand why ML is forgiven, most of his behavior is based on the author and the direction of the story thats been modified. Which makes it sad cuz essentially he and everyone else in that world has no free will. Or all actions made lead to a... more>> final destination even if the path that leads to it is bloody and lonely.

I think MC is being a bit mean towards the ML. She knows she is in a novel and all her and his actions are based on the author. How is it the ML's fault? Both of them do not have absolute free will. Its like when women or men catch their partners cheating on them with another person and instead of blaming their cheating SO they blame the other person. ITS NOT THE OTHER PERSONS FAULT, YOUR SO IS A CHEATING ARSEHOLE!!! I can understand why it took a second life for her to get good grades, the thinking ability of this girl is beyond incomprehensible. In other words this girl is dumb, she only thinks surface level. I mean if you woke up one day and was told your life was based on the whims of a person, wouldnt you question your very existance? Wouldnt you wonder how much of your likes or dislike are based on the author and not yourself? Wouldnt you wonder why your tragedy is entertainment? Why is she looking for revenge when she should be questioning her very existence? She should be more tolerant knowing that everyone around her is being directed to act a play none of them are even aware of. I would be kinder under her circumstance because I know none of these people I am surrounded with actually have done anything willingly. Every character is created. I would be on my back wondering what I should do because even with the system, I'd be wondering if my actions are based on myself or if I am still part of a story the author has written up just to make it seem like I have free will. <<less

I like the translation quality and our FL golden finger.
I stumble on this novel on someone else’s reading list (it’s a list of comedy novels) and I thought it was going to be mostly light and funny but omgggggg I should have checked the novel tags 😩

It was very funny at first then it proceeds to be more dog blood after each chapter 😭

Spoiler

The ML used to imprison and forced the FL to be his s*x s*ave until she died in his bed (??) like wtf man

Tho it seems that there’s a different villain/manipulator which was ML’s pe*verted uncle (he seems to like whipping young children?).

I just don’t think that the author can white wash the ML in anyway possible.

Ofc the FL tried to make ML life more miserable using her gold finger but it’s just a silly prank at most since the ML aura is too strong, u can’t hurt him in anyway. She just disturbed him by changing his aromatic candle into stinky candle, gave him 3 keys so he can reflect, make his basketball explodes before reaching the hoop, etc

[collapse]

Anyway, at first I kinda like the FL personality but afterwards I feel like she’s getting more like those FL in ‘Woman ur the first to do this to me, U’ve caught my attention’ type of novel? The kind of wild/ rebellious but mainstream FL? Idk how to explain, u’ll know when u read it. In the first place, the ML loves rebellious kinda wild girls, the FL just pretend to be good student to avoid him.

I think I’m going to drop this, I don’t think it’s healthy to read too much of this kind of toxic stuff cuz it can influence my 3 views and moral standards. If u encounter public harassment too many times, u tend to normalize it and I don’t want that. Also, my face scrunched up in disgust so much when reading the ML inner thoughts that I feel it’s not worth my skin getting wrinkles over this. <<less

I would like to say that, if you are hesitating to read this, then this is the sign to read this.

100/100 CAN I JUST SAY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND THE FLUFF OMG

To all those who rated 1 star because you think ML doesn't deserve MC, it means you did not finish the novel.

Damn you should read this completely don't even think of skipping 1 chapter. This is a well written novel tbh, I haven't read something this super good for a long time.

The plot is unique. The female lead is badass. The male lead's past life's actions were explained and justified. But they were not together immediately. They slowly cultivated their relationship until the female lead forgave him. And the male lead changed.

Well, the male lead was shackled by the plot in his past life. He was the paranoid and blackened male lead. And when he awakened his consciousness and wanted to break free from his destined role, he can't do it. And so he spent his past life hurting the FL even if he didn't want to. This brought so much pain in their relationship.

Which is why the ending and the extra chapters made the story wholesome. The romance between them is very good I felt the chemistry. I know some may feel that the ML is a scumbag. I also thought the same until the middle part when it their past life was clarified.

Aside from their chemistry, I love the unique plot of the novel and it's idea of changing the script. It has a lot of funny scenes because of the fl's golden finger. All in all, I recommend this if you want a funny and wholesome novel. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. <<less

My great interest for this novel, unfortunately, was very short-lived. However, I still want to be as thorough as possible with this review, because there are several points I've analyzed and want to emphasize.

To start off, I want to say this novel has a lot of conflicting points. I wanted to cheer the MC on, but she's simply OP and watching her keep winning was strenuous. But that doesn't mean I want her to lose, because watching her being so quick-witted, tactful, and snatching all opportunities made me feel proud.... more>> This in itself is conflicting enough, but what's even more conflicting is that I wanted to see more romance going on, but it's simply impossible, because 1. it's obvious that (in the past life) the male lead was a shitwad and his "love" for the MC was a toxic one, not making the reader favor him so much, 2. the male lead rarely makes a move, and 3. even on the rare occasion that the male lead makes a move, it's effortlessly blocked by the MC and her OP powers. This leads to the only two options that remain, in order to keep the romance genre--which is 1. The female lead loses her OP powers/slips up, and slowly falls victim to the male lead's charms (if you could call it that), and 2. The male lead is proven to be different from himself from the past, and the female lead falls for his new self.

Do you see what I mean? Not to mention, up until recently, the plot of this novel was pretty unclear. This could be considered good, if you prefer unexpected plot twists and such, and it could also be considered bad, if you want a more straightforward story. For the longest time, the novel was on the line separating the two, so it was neutral, but by now, I'm getting tired of the repetitive appearances of cannon fodders, MC being OP, ML not doing anything, and there being absolutely zero development in the MC and ml's relationship. Do they even have one? I believe I've been patient for the longest time; I had high expectations for the novel; I've been diligently reading for the past two days. And this has all resulted to: "The MC won again!" "The MC is so good at studying!" "Everyone is in love with the MC because she's so beautiful!"

If I were to be optimistic, I would say this is a slow burn. Being realistic... it's a waste of time. <<less

Could’ve been a 5 star since the comedy is legit gold and it’s a very interesting premise but I got a problem with the romance. It’s a bit of an abuse narrative in that the abuser is “redeemed” somehow and the victim falls in love with them. ML sucks and Idc if this is a different timeline or life, once a scum man, always a scum man.

Spoiler

The ML and FL truly loved each other even in their previous time. The FL misunderstood the ML due to her insecurities and the ML worsened the misunderstanding because he and the FL was bound to the novel's story. The ML's awakening as the male protagonist of the novel lead the novel to grant permission to the FL to change the story as he wanted her to live the life she wanted. At first, the story was just full of comedy with the FL using her golden finger to bully the ML secretly. I even wondered how they'd end up together when she seems to hate him so much. After knowing about the full story from the ML and how the ML acted after remembering the past timeline, I felt so much pity for him :< They were able to resolve things in the end which is great.

Please don't judge the ML too fast!!! He genuinely loves her no matter how she changed herself and did his best to restrain his impulsive possessiveness on her. As what the caption said, he was willing to die for her as he attributed all her pain in the last life to himself (although it was the fault of the novel). I really like how much they love each other uwu
