Li Cheng is an omega, but he is thoroughly like an alpha.

He regards teachers like friends, is unrivalled in the swimming pool and also has 80 betas as his lil’ brothers.

One day, Li Cheng loudly declares ⸺ He’s determined to win the campus male god alpha Xiao Yiheng over. He must become his!

“Xiao Yiheng is smart, handsome, and tall! Moreover, he has long legs and a perky butt. His strong XX capability can be seen with just a glance! Only this kind of alpha is worthy of me!”

Long-legged, perky-butt, and has strong XX capability Xiao Yiheng: “……”

To show his determination, Li Cheng proclaims that he would give him a love bento every morning.

The next day, Li Cheng stayed up all night playing games and can’t get up.

The third day, Li Cheng danced the night away with others and can’t get up.

The fourth day, Li Cheng fought with the gang from the neighbouring school and can’t get up.

Then came the fifth day… The sixth day… The seventh day…

Just when Li Cheng is just about to forget his plan of courting the male god, Xiao Yiheng obstructs him inside one of the locker room’s cubicles before his swimming training.

“Xiao Yiheng, w-what do y-you want with Laozi?”

“Because I was waiting for your lunch box, I haven’t eaten breakfast for a whole week.” Xiao Yiheng had a cold expression. With a fake smile, he continued, “But… Your pheromone smells quite delicious.”

The story is really cute and sweet!!!! It really makes me relaxed... No twisted plot yet & no sad scenes. So it's really a good choice for me as I'm a little sad currently....🖤

One of my favorite ABO stories out there!! The romance is so cute and the pace of the story is not too fast but not too slow.. The plot synopsis comes in at a good time and the story just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter.. I’ve read a few reviews criticizing the sexism in this book and all I have to say is, the way I see it the MC does face sexism in the book as an omega but he is a STRONG, INDEPENDENT, NOT WILLING TO TAKE ANYONE’S... more>> CRAP omega, and you will see how he proves his strength as an omega in this story. As for the ML, you will see him overcoming his parents strict grasp on him. Overall the story is rather inspiring! <<less

Like the name, this novel was really sweet. You can tell from the other reviews about how nice the romance is and how good the ABO in this is (equal rights and stuff, besides sexist parents), so I'll mostly focused on defending the novel.

I saw someone in the reviews said it was sexist, but I don't really think it was that bad. Of course, I don't think the ML can be the owner of the MC, but that metaphor (or simile, IDK) probably wasn't really referring to becoming the owner... more>> of the MC. It was probably just talking about how the MC will warm up to the ML. I've read from an author that the most troubling thing is when the reader misunderstands the author's words, or when the reader and the author aren't understanding the words the same way. I, in no way, can say that what I'm saying is exactly what the author is trying to express, and there is a chance that the author was actually expressing that the ML is the owner of the MC. Despite that, metaphors (or similes) can be understood in so many ways that you can't really judge that the novel is sexist from just that one sentence. You can also tell the ML doesn't really force the MC to submit to him just from his attitude towards his sexist parents. (You can also tell that from their romance and lovey dovey moments in the later chapters, too.)

If I early had to say one bad thing about this novel, it would be the tsundere MC, he's amazing, in all ways, especially the whole omega and alpha doesn't matter thing, but I guess he's just annoying to read, for me, especially in the early chapters. I considered giving this Novel a 4 star because of this. However, he does grow mature, the times he acted childish were understandable, and I guess its also to help move the plot along. In the end I gave this novel 5 stars, since its just a matter of personal preference, I guess.

Anyways, I'd definitely recommend this novel, please give this a try if you have free time. Sorry for the bad English and have a nice day. <<less

Well, this omega is indeed sweet and wild.

The story centers around the "big boss/ge" MC and his "restrained" ML.

Both have their own problems and goals that they support each other through after confirming their relationship.

... more>> However, the process wasn't easy. Like their genders, their personalities are on opposite ends of the spectrum.

But that just made them more attracted to each other.

It was entertaining to read the "cat and mouse" chase and "carrot and stick" love development. Although common, it is still nice to read.

The thing that really stood out to me is, of course, the way both the leads navigated through the ML's tough home life and the way the author broke the stereotypes. The author showcased both the leads personality exquisitely as well as how the ML can also show raw anger after breaking free from oppression. Plus, both the leads respect each other and their dreams despite their genders.

This is a story of growth and how their backgrounds have affected their personalities, but it is commendable that both the leads turned out strong and not sexist at all. Especially the ML with his straight A cancer parents.

Basically, the way the leads grew together made me go "uwuuu! What kind of fairy love is this!" Lmao.

I also loved the side characters. Especially when the MC was looking for

.

My most favorite side character is Youyou~. She's quite hilarious when she mentions her

All in all, a very adorable story full of youth in the beginning but maturity in the end. Of course, even though both the leads grew older, the shadow of the past still lingers in their actions.

5/5

Enjoi and Adieu!

P.s. I'm positive that with your feminine pride, you'll form your own opinions after reading the story to the end and knowing that some translations aren't always accurate :)

Also, I enjoyed the fanweis. Mama Chen Chen and Papa Yiheng deserves all the happiness. Although "normal" (you'll understand), I enjoyed your story. <<less

At first, I planned to wait for the translation to be complete, but I got too excited and read the rest in the RAWs. This is a sweet omegaverse story of two boys who fall in love and slowly learn how to communicate with each other better. I absolutely felt bad for the ML for his parents, and the MC too also has his sad moments. Later on in the story, they comfort each other over what happened and I love how they encourage the other to become a better... more>> person and to pursue their dreams. It's a very good story.

Spoiler

I love how Li Cheng (MC) grows up and gets to achieve his dreams. He becomes more confident and slightly smarter (of course, Xiao Yiheng (ML) still beats him when it comes to being shameless) due to Yiheng's influence and it shows. The two love each other so much, though it's really funny that Li Cheng took a while longer to realise that he actually likes Yiheng. He also endures a lot of discrimination for being an omega, but Li Cheng breaks all the obstacles with stride. He slowly learns to rely on Xiao Yiheng, who is willing to care for him as Li Cheng was so used to being strong and hard-headed by himself. (Being an orphan, and having to fight and protect his sister from the harsh world is hard.) He had no choice but to be the leader in his circumstances, and it's amazing that he is chosen to be the team captain of the national team later on.

Honestly, I feel bad for Xiao Yiheng. Li Cheng's appearance in his life tells him what Xiao Yiheng has been missing, which is living life for himself. Before he met him, everything was planned out by his parents to be the 'ideal Alpha physics researcher at the top of society'. He is basically someone who would exist in real life, a child who is only moulded to achieve their parents' agendas than their own dreams. Of course, not everyone excels in everything as Xiao Yiheng does, but most people with parents who force their aspirations on them would relate to him.

All the awards, trophies and everything he earned were all left behind because they don't belong to Xiao Yiheng, but rather his parents' ideal 'Xiao Yiheng'. It got so bad that he rather abandon everything at home to elope with Li Cheng. I finally understood why the other reviewer was so disappointed when he forgot to take the gift Li Cheng gave him earlier on. Part of me was wondering why XYH did not take his passport or any important documents with him since he decided to nuke his relations with his parents once and for all. It's really a shame how he had to come to the decision, as he had hoped that his parents would let down their pride and care for him as a human being.

But anyway, Xiao Yiheng felt alive when he was with Li Cheng, and it's no surprise that he would be attracted to him after all. Everyone else who witness them in real life is just really shocked at how much of a power couple they are. One is a world athlete, and the other is a world-famous painter who's really good at studies. The world may be unfair, but hey, at least two normal people, both injured in their own way from personal circumstances, get together and create the happy family they always wanted.

I don't usually enjoy ABO stories, but this one is an exception. I love how the writer breaks the stereotypes of weak-omega-and-overpowered-alpha. So refreshing.

I didn't put high expectation but surprisingly I couldn't stop myself to write a review (and I rarely write one.. but this story deserves more recognition haha). [edit: i've only wrote 2 reviews, and the other one is actually from the same author! oh, what a pleasant surprise! ps. please read "cai-cai". that one is a great story too!]

Overall, I enjoyed so much (as a non avid... more>> reader of abo genre) !! Fluff. MC and ML characters are well written. And oh, the little brothers....i love them! hahaha! <<less

This is one of the best abo out there. They felt real, there was character development from both MC and ml, as they progressed in age their character also matured but they both retained their initial habits.

I also loved the fact that both characters were quite distinct and did not confirm to the traditional abo. It was also quite funny. Though it was quite evident that they were the protagonists of the world, they also faced setbacks. Overall a fun read

Funny omegaverse story with a tsundere and courageous omega who loves swimming and a cold smart alpha who loves painting. Their characters (although nothing original if you read a lot of asian novels) are very well developed and their personalities are what I enjoyed the most. The protags are polar opposites but there are no melodrama resulting from personality clashes. Instead their romance is full of funny moments and sweet interactions. Also, all the details of their school life and sports competitions were well written and entertaining to read.

Embarrassing, confident, tear jerking and very hilarious is everything "This Omega is Sweet and Wild" manages to convey through its 107 chapters. This novel has by far become one of my favorites, I've read many like this but I can confidently say this work is fully deserving of its many 5 star ratings! The characters are charming, and I appreciate heavily how the author didn't soften the main protagonist, Li Cheng for the convenience of fitting him into the typical omega box and instead decided to fight against those rules... more>> making Li Cheng a daring and strong character who does not need to rely on his alpha but instead stands side by side with him. Truly I enjoyed this story and I hope everyone gets a chance to read this! Thank you to the translators for bringing this to us!

This novel make the single dog me died 100th ok???

It's very sweet, there's conflict and misunderstood here and there, but it will be solved.

I dare said it wasn't overwhelming with the plots, admits that there's some extravaganza, but it's for the plots and it's omegaverse anyway.

... more>> I especially love how the author made sure everyone is involved.

Kinda sad that there's no story for them, my heart is a little sad and lonely after done reading this. It's full of it.

It's tells the background story, and it's really touch my old heart.

Definitely recommend, fluff, drama, fluff, sweet, conflict, fluff, killing this single dog.

4.5/5 ⭐

super cute and endearing novel. Some might not like the MC due to his attitude and behaviour but I thought that it was still ok due to his past (which will be revealed throughout the novel) butbut, for me, I like the MC because he's an adorable tsundere!! Super prickly but warmhearted and kind.

the ML on the other hand is a character I kind of pity a lot. His life before meeting the MC was sooooo depressing I feel, which is mainly due to his extremely a**hole parents (which... more>> will also be mentioned plenty of times in the novel) the parents are extremely disgusting to me. Like how can someone treat their child like that. -.- i honestly preferred the second half to the first half because I thought it was more engaging and exciting. But overall the novel and the pacing wasn't bad. Yeap that's all! Super cute ending and extras btw <<less

And two, because on some point the ML feelings for MC isn't that authentic at first, which I agree. ML likeness on MC at beginning is at the stage where they like a pet and want to tame it.. When he get to know MC and likewise of MC to ML it went well.

I almost pushed this novel aside cause of some reviews, luckily I didn't. True this novel has some weakness but also some surprising Forte.

I was really positive surprised by the world building. While it is ABO it never engaged or went the r*pe and fear route. In this ABO the genders are relatively equal and since science made an external uterus possible, even Alpha pairs can have children. So basically all kind of abo mixed pairs are possible and accepted. I felt like the writer used this really... more>> good and mixed up some interesting partners.

I also liked the comedic parts and humor. Like MC that is a tough as nails Omega that wants to protect his reputation but still sometimes indulge in his soft side. While this kind of interludes happened sporadic in the beginning, they were somewhat lost later on.

What I really dislike is the uneven distribution between screen time for MC and ML. The novel is following both but I feel like ML feel short. I wanted to see more of his development. The storyline with his parents had so much potential but was neglected. The way this ended was somewhat not logic to me.

Since MC and ML walked their own path to glory rather early, there was a lot of possible sweetness missing. Lots of interactions were through phone and massages so there was a lack of closeness for some time.

All in all it was still a good and entertaining story. You need to take it with a grain of salt, especially the villains... which are ridiculous. <<less

I don’t even know where to begin. This was the cutest abo novel I’ve ever read. I am so happy with this and how it portrayed the ao relationship and the omega MC as a whole.

it’s refreshing to see a good abo because most abo’s give the genre a bad name. Most people hate it because most people use the omega character as an easy lay and have them portrayed in the worst light while the alphas are always seen as macho manly man that can either do no wrong... more>> or has no understanding of what’s right and wrong.

This though? This was amazing. It reminded me of another abo novel I enjoyed: The Short Story of Shaowang. This novel portrayed a strong omega as well that didn’t need to rely on anyone but themselves. And I truly love that this novel did the same.

I loved the complete theme of opposites attract and that they both had their own roads that they excelled in. I loved that XY was supportive of the MC and didn’t try to change him or manipulate him into being someone he’s not. Likewise, I loved that LC although a cute little tsundere, wasn’t too the point of saying mean hurtful things or ignoring him, it was instead a game of push and pull that left me smiling the whole time.

Also, it’s rare to see backstories like Orangies, and while it hurt my heart, I very much liked the change of pace. It wasn’t just — his parents die and he’s lobbed off to his relatives to live with people who don’t want him, but instead a complete and well explained background that develops him as a character and give insight to how he began to swim

Honestly this novel is one I’d recc to anyone that wants to read a good abo that’s plotty and not just about s*x. <<less

i must say, this is one of the most satisfying abo novel i've read thus far... sure, Xiao Yiheng had some behaviors that were a bit dislikable in the beginning, and (to be fair) it goes the same for Li Cheng as well, however, the story was very satisfying, and was able to illustrate how these two characters evolved along the way... it isn't the fluffiest, but if you're looking for a strong (headstrong) omega, then read this, don't let some of the bad reviews deter you from enjoying this... more>> little treasure... I think this has one of strongest o character so far, and the author did not focus on their weakness but more on how the character continuously worked hard to overcome how others viewed him because of his second gender... <<less

This novel is a really good read. The MC and the ML has the cutest and most heartfelt relationship. I also really like how the way author wrote about the MC breaking gender stereotypes. However, I decided not to give this novel 5 stars for a kind of petty reason. For a novel that focuses heavily on breaking gender stereotypes, I found it sadly ironic how the author still is sexist in a way and their internalized sexist thoughts still seeped through into the MC.

Spoiler

The MC is fed up with people underestimating him as an omega and the author does a good enough job highlighting how the MC and ML break stereotypes (Alphas are supposed to occupy "top" jobs but the ML decides to become a painter, and omegas are supposed to be "soft and weak" but the MC is a strong swimmer). But the sad part is that while the MC is supposed to understand how toxic gender stereotypes are, the author also makes him say a bunch of sexist remarks. For example, in chapter 100, which was supposed to be a super touching chapter:

"Okay, okay." Li Cheng (MC) rubbed her (MC's teammate) head lightly, "You are an alpha, crying like this will make others laugh."

??? Isn't the MC supposed to understand that gender stereotypes are BS, why would the author turn around and do this? Maybe, I'm overanalyzing this and maybe the MC is just using a roundabout way to comfort his teammate, but it really rubbed me the wrong way.

Additionally, it seems that although the author cares a lot about writing about brekaing ABO gender stereotypes, they don't really care too much about how it reflects in the female/male gender stereotype. In the same chapter that the MC said to the alpha girl that she shouldn't cry, the author says this about another alpha girl swimmer:

'She was cursed her like this in front of other teammates...

She is a girl after all, and her face flushed immediately after being insulted by the captain with such foul language. '

What in the world, does being embarrassed and sad about being insulted have to do with being a girl? In one sentence, the author writes that an alpha girl is a "girl after all" and would undoubtedly get upset by someone insulting them, and then in another sentence, because the teammate was an alpha girl, she shouldn't cry? So does being a girl mean that they're expected to be weak? But why can't an alpha cry? I thought that the author said that girls are weak and alphas shouldn't cry, so what are alpha girls supposed to do, is this going to be a paradox?

[collapse]

Now, the reason I said that this is a petty complaint of mine, is that thankfully, the novel doesn't have so many instances like these that I should be upset about. Truthfully, this novel is really worth the read even with its downsides. I felt sad and happy along with the characters and also really did enjoy this novel. <<less

I almost didn't reading this book because of some comments... Don't make the same mistake I did! If you are a crazy ABO Universe fan (like me), read it!!!!! R-E-A-D I-T !!!

I started the novel hating the MC. He's so arrogant! Not in a good way. He creates a nonsense hostility with the ML, what made me angry with him. He's the kind of person who thinks the world revolves around him. BUT this feeling of not liking the MC didn't last long! After understanding more about the MC's past... more>> and why he acquired such a bad temper, I started to like the MC. He REALLY needed to always be above everyone. Not only because of his difficult childhood, but also because at puberty he differentiated as omega, unfortunately not as an alpha or beta as he needed to be a professional swimmer (for us readers, fortunately).

MC is the only omega in professional competitive swimming. He climbs all the way from a provincial champion to the world champion.
I don't particularly like sports novels, but the author presented the characters, the desires and the life story so well, that I spent the whole book cheering for the MC. During the reading, from the bottom of my heart, I hoped that MC would be recognized by the world and pave the way for other omegas in sports.

About his relationship with ML: I have nothing to complain about! The book is full of dog food!!!!!!!! They are so sweet, so in love, so beautiful together! They love and support each other, they trust each other, and always support each other dreams!! The faith they have in each other's potencial is incredible!

About ML: This alpha made me shed tears. He's so passionate, so devoted, so sweet ~
I LOVE how there is a break in the concept that we see in every ML alpha in novels: to be super strong. The MC is a professional athlete and, obviously, his physical condition is better than ML. Furthermore, ML is a painter!!! That's right you read, a PAINTER! He is sensitive to art and decoration, is organized and very clean. Completely unlike our omega MC who is a crazy ̶d̶o̶g̶ cat hahahaha.

I want to give this novel 6 stars! For an omegaverse crazyfan like me, this book has everything an ABO needs to have! Some spoilers below:
Spoiler

A bite mark between alpha and omega;
A cute baby;
Omega heat;
A society's prejudice against omegas and the struggle to change that;
Suppressors;
Pheromones to supress and to seduce.

[collapse]

Finally, there are some things that I found particularly surreal about MC and swimming. But, I didn't think it was a problem that affected the content of the story. There is no way a fiction book can be a copy of reality. That was easily acceptable to me. Definitely, one of the best omegaverse novels I have ever read!

PS: For those who don't like to read omegaverse stories for: fear of having r*pe, or non-con content, or don't like the alpha force the omega with the pheromones to have s*x, don't worry! You can read it! <<less

The MC is very free and likable, as the title suggests, and it's satisfying to see him reaching his dreams and accomplishing new feats in his competition. Reading the races and wondering what'll happen really gave me an adrenaline boost!

I also love how the ML pushed through, and the fact neither of them fell in love at first sight, but it was a gradual development after several meetings. They were really sweet together, and it was a great read. Wasn't much drama either, but plenty of cute scenes~!
