Jiang Xiaoman was bound to a system when she was three years old. The system told her that she was the lost daughter of a wealthy family assigned to play the cannon fodder in this script. The fake daughter that her parents adopted was the heroine of the story.

Jiang Xiaoman blinked her eyes and asked, “What is a cannon fodder?”

System: “You all live in a book, and everyone is assigned their role. From now on, you should keep on blackening and be a bad child. Do you see that little boy? He has a bigger role than you, in the future, he will become the big bad villain. Why don’t you bully him now, and show him up real good!”

The naïve Jiang Xiaoman picked a handful of colorful flowers and stuffed them into his hands. “I’m showing you something really good!”

System: “…”

Darling, you got it all wrong! Not showing him something good that way!

The little boy: “I don’t need friends, I don’t need company. I’m just a burden that no one wants. It’s my destiny to be abandoned.”

Jiang Xiaoman: “That’s wrong. Everyone’s existences have meaning. System said you are especially important, even more important than me. You’ll be a really really useful person in the future!”

System: “…??”

Did it say that??

Later on, the system stopped giving Jiang Xiaoman any tasks. Jiang Xiaoman was very sorrowful and said, “Mr. System, why won’t you play with me anymore?”

System: “… just try to grow up first and learn to understand every word! You’re killing me!!”

Jiang Xiaoman worked hard to blacken (not really) under the system’s supervision until she was reunited with her wealthy parents. She scratched her little head and asked, “Mr. System, what about the task? Didn’t you say that we should fight over the family’s wealth?”

System: “What kind of wealth do you still want to fight over? You already have more money than your wealthy parents!”

Had to MTL the story because its good. The discussion between the MC and her uncle is hilarious. The romance is a slow burn and sweet. No angst or dog blood drama, its a joy to read

Oooohhhh!!!! I’m so pissed!!!! Really? Like really? You dedicate 7-8 chapter to a dead character? I was waiting for househusband Yu! Cool, domineering, teasing President Wifey Jiang! What the hell browski! I have to give it a low rating for the lack of an epilogue. It’s the best part of reading a romance novel! It’s the weddings, married life, babies, and then dying as eternal lovers!

So the Pro of this novel is: it’s completely translated, there is slight romance, and it bloody hilarious (in the first 100 or so chapters)... more>> ! If you need a good laugh 😂 the beginning of this novel is the way to go.

Cons; The novel was good but too bloody rushed at times. And the severe power imbalance of the relationship between the ML and the FL was wild!

This novel is full feminist. The FL treats the ML like Barbie treats Ken. They do end up together but it feels forced from her part. She treats him (after they get in Junior High) like an afterthought. <<less

It was a light read. There wasn't too much drama going on. Just cute little MC being ignorant and naive of the ways of the world yet clever at the same time. To be honest with you, if you aren't too fond of children, then this might not be your cup of tea. But if you're willing to give this a chance, then you made a good choice :D

Up till the end, every bits of it was filled with fluffiness and laughter. Such a stress-reliever of a novel. I'm really grateful for the translators, Sleeping Translations, for translating the novel. I wouldn't be able to read it if not for your hard work. Sending my thank-you's to the author as well ^^

Quite mediocre. Nothing great, nothing horrible. If you enjoy cute kids more than I do, then maybe you'll enjoy it more. If you can't stand kids, you're probably not going to enjoy this one.

Honestly wish it was from the point of view of the adoptive mother who dies of cancer at the start. Her story seems a lot more interesting.

I thought MC would always be naive and mary sue that everyone love.

But no, you can call her Big sister Xiaoman when she grew up. She was so cool. 😩❤️ She has high IQ and EQ.

I thought when she realizes mls feelings. She would deny it. But noooo, she actually liked ML since they were young. It's just that the novel dont always mention MCs feelings for ml. 🤧 I mean how can she always tolerate ML and how can she always give the best to ML. She just love him. 😩❤️... more>> "Action speaks louder. " <<less

The story is so cute and the chemistry between the characters are too. I can't say that there's much moral to the story but chinese novels are just really entertaining no matter how shitty the plot may be it always has this comedic flair I can't get enough of. If you're looking for something light hearted and sweet you could try reading this one.

Pretty funny so far! Children main characters actually act like children. I love how the FL unintentionally trolls everyone around her (especially the system and the ML).

Development so far is fairly slow, so I'm not sure how good the author is going to be at moving the plot along (some other review have implied that later parts are pretty rushed and I could totally see that happening).

But at least so far it has been fun to read, so I will give this a solid 4 stars.

The MC is very cute and humorous. The story sometimes felt a little bit lacking but the comedy is honestly too good for me. The ML is a sweetheart and I kinda feel sad when he cries but that is just too funny to not laugh at... It kinda feels the story was axed but maybe that's because I didn't read the extras yet. 16 extras as the epilogue should suffice I hope for myself.

The story isn't that great but good enough for me, maybe my standards have dropped a... more>> little bit when all I read is just MTL now. <<less

Edited: original review at the end from when I was in chapter 62 of the translation (which isn't the real chapter 62 since it's split), but I've MTLed it now.

Completed review:

I liked it but be warned! for some reason the author finished the story in the extras, that's why the ending might seem unsatisfying, a lot of stuff was solved in the extras and we got an explanation for certain stuff, I have no idea why the author didn't include it in the novel and only in the extras. MTL... more>> sites don't have the extras so I translated it with Baidu lol. If you are going to complain about the ending please read the extras first, because yup, the actual ending was so ?? abrupt, I can't believe that was the actual ending since a lot of important parts were in the extras. So make sure to read the 148 chapters. Although imo they could've still written more and I didn't have enough but at least most of my questions were clarified and they had a HE.

Anyway besides that, the story is great, you see her grow from a small baby, to a kindergarten student, to primary school, middle school and high school. And in the extras she gets to go to university. The growth seemed reasonable, although she was still a bit childish you could still notice she had been growing up. In other stories with age progression the growth seems a bit unnatural but here it was alright.

It was really funny, especially her primary school days. I would've preferred to read the translation since the MTL wasn't that good, but you can still get the gist of it, it's just not that enjoyable. Sadly I didn't have enough patience.

Also, don't expect this to be a school life face slapping novel, there wasn't even an origML and there's not much drama at school besides her collecting points and hanging out with her buddies. There's some drama when they go to HS but don't expect much conflict. It's more of a heartwarming novel that revolves around Xiaoman and Qingshi. With the support of the grandma and uncle. They are pretty much the backbone of the story, and of course the system.

Original review:

I like this too much!! I can't wait to read more chapters, this is too good! Creative and great author, thank you! Maybe as romance this won't be too exciting but this is very adorable! So heartwarming and wholesome!

Basically this is a story where the system had a glitch and the villainess got the system when she was just 3 years old before being blackened, which naturally changed the course of the story. The MC is just a normal adorable girl, she didn't have many friends but she got the system as company, her best friend! And due some miscalculations... well, the story went astray and she met the other little villain. So cute! <<less

Went ahead and mtl it lol, so glad I did, this is a story that shows adversity, fighting against and overcoming failures, losses... nothing is glossed over, simply presenting it as is, this story could so easily become dark with tragedy, in fact that was the original intention, however as the title suggests, the little one tears up the script!

We are introduced to a little girl who is not an adult in a child's body which is so often the case, but an actual 3 year old who has been... more>> recruited by the system, she is given various missions to grow her potential in becoming a Villain, we follow her on a journey that includes a wealth of wonderful characters that shape the villain into what she becomes.

Even though I have given a 5 star rating, it is by no means perfect, towards the end it felt rushed, a lot of character development didnt seem to flow organically, nor as heartfelt, unlike her younger years, things seemed more distant even forced which is sad, the most charming aspects were those interactions. There are moments of bonding and growth that made this story so good some of that was lost towards the end. There are a few unanswered questions that were never followed up and characters that seemed to get wrecked because of the plot, I wish that they had added 50 more chapters to develop the characters and plot better, things got thrown in just because... too rushed unfortunately, I'm hoping the extras give clarity, I havent read those yet, can't find the raws..

Overall there is enough to enjoy and love in this fluffy yet dark tale, what is that you might ask? Read it and find out. To the translator, I await eagerly future updates, mtl does not compare to your work, thank you for picking this story up. <<less

Super cute and funny. Little kid logic is unbeatable sometimes, I really felt for the system.

Don't read this expecting some crazy mind blowing story, it's a nice wholesome story about some kids and it excels at that. The more serious notes help round out the plot, but the best parts are about the innocence and naivety that only children can have.

This novel entertained me so much that I sacrificed my sleep (and gotten scolded too wuwuwuwu). I laughed a lot. It lightened my mood. The FL, Xiaoman is so hilarious. I really love how the author wrote this story. The hilarious interactions Xiaoman had with everyone are very much to my liking. Especially since I'm also an Asian kid who got beaten and scolded when young. (Don't get me wrong, we're more civilized now, abuse is bad.) Which made me empathize with the FL. 🤧 Honestly, it's a refreshing read... more>> for me. Not too fluffy that will get you choked up with sweetness, just pure familial love, romance and friendship too. It's such a good read. Loved it.

I love this story. There's not much face slapping, it's mostly slice of life, but the humor captured me in the beginning (it is just as funny as the synopsis suggests) and I stuck it through because I wanted to see a happy ending.

The ending of the story dragged a little bit since much felt like a forgone conclusion. However, I loved the final extra - it really added great background to how the family and grandmother persevered to get where they were. And solidifies how much a shame the... more>> original ending for them was. Especially the villainess - you realize just how much of the "villainess" behaviors are from her originally cheerful, intelligent, helpful personality being sanded away by the unfortunate circumstances she grew up in.

I do think the original storyline for Yu didn't make much sense - I couldn't really see how he'd end up in that pitiful state with a hotshot father, even if his mother was in an asylum. <<less

I can't really give this a fair rating. I remember reading this at first when it only had a couple of chapters out and it was OK, I quite liked following it for a bit for a light fun read.

This novel isn't deep and not ideal if you're looking for something with substance. But it's quite like a big bowl of marshmallows. Eat too much in one sitting and you'd get sick lol. I honestly feel like I wasted my time reading this but I don't hate it and would... more>> still recommend it if you just want to numb your brain for a bit. <<less

Very entertaining

of course, you won’t expect too much out of a story which run nearly 300 chapters with children, before the « plot » begins « - but if you’re out for a bettered slice of life, it’s a good pick; I personally dislike « slice of life » stories most often, but he pacing was fine, and I rather enjoyed the contrast between the wild little girl from the poor countryside and the other kids. She was neither too weak nor too strong, it also avoided common discrimination, and... more>> it has a fresh feel, you can relate to the contradictions of he little girl loving the piglet and the meat, her sharing her favorite treats (insects) at the deepest disgust of her city friends, it works.

The balance of cute and fun and the tad bit of action is just right. The twist on « vilainess « is just perfect : that little girl has a good heart, she’s wild, but she is only a villainess toward greater villains, and that’s pretty fun. Her underwhelming system « friend » is also well managed, because it goes very well with the character growing resourceful on her own efforts

if there’s one bad hing, if would be that the bad guys are s*upid and don’t really make sense (the bad uncle is truly s*upid, so it’s fun once, but when he comes back to the pig farm, it just feels bad, the dad is truly too evil, and why would the adoptive sister be so mean ?) ... it honestly disappointing and not on par with the smart and the balance of the rest, but well so be it...

Lastly, as you could expect, it’s much of a one girl show, and she can be quite self centered, but it’s pretty nice to see such a self reliant female character <<less

I would say I overall loved the story, but had to take a star off for the slow flow. It's a slow-paced slice-of-life story. It was a bit boring at some points while reading, so some of the chapters felt like filler. In hindsight though, the seemingly filler pieces show off the main character's personality and growth, so they felt slow but they were also important. I'd give a 4.5 out of 5 rating if I could.

The main cast's antics and characters' inner thought processes are hilarious most of the... more>> time so it was a very enjoyable read. I loved the ML's shy shy personality, loved the MC's confidence, honesty, good, and straightforward personality, and loved her adopted family. Soooo sweet. ≪3

Everyone else wasn't given as much character detail, but this reflects how their roles weren't important to the MC. The story is told from an omniscient point-of-view, but the story's focus is from the MC's look at the world. She doesn't care that much for her real family nor does she care to fight the original female lead, so there's no revenge or face-slapping or anything like that. I found it refreshing that the MC is just doing her own thing; as long as the people and things she truly cares about are fine, she's not going to waste time and energy on extra stuff.

The ending was a bit shockingly abrupt - I had to look again to make sure it was the end, lol. But I kind of like it, and it is fitting in a way. <<less

The MC has the reasoning suitable for her age. But as the story progress, it became unrealistic, she can even crash a tree. Lol. She's number 1 in everything: in class, fights. Lol. Basically just like any other stories where they exaggerate the MC's capabilities. It's good thing tho that she doesn't own a lot of business and doesn't have a lot of secret identity like some other mcs.

To be honest, in my point of view its pretty boring. Maybe its because its not my cup of tea? But honestly I don't know how to continue reading it. I only completed reading it to know what happened until the end.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you don't need to read it because it's boring. For me, I just find it too slow to progress. The villain part that she torn apart wasn't portrayed. I only see that she didn't want to act what the system want to... more>> do. The romance is nowhere.

But the characters are good. They are given wonderful part in the story. I quite like the uncle. He was an ideal uncle. This also teach the reader how child grow. <<less

This was a pretty good read.

It was funny and I enjoyed most the times I spent reading it.

But, I do feel the later half of the novel was rushed and not really well-written. Which is a shame because I absolutely loved the first part of the novel.

The novel also has quite a few plot holes which is why I think it deserves 4.1 stars.

The MC is okay, I liked her but,

Spoiler

towards the end, I dont really like how she was oblivious to the ML's feelings when it was pretty obvious that he likes her. I also dont like how she prioritized him over her other friends.

As for the ML, I liked him when they were childrens but as they grew older he started being a bit possesive towards the MC. He also kept getting jealous when the MC does something with other people and when he does he acts cold towards her. But what frustrates me the most is that the MC always coaxed him when she didnt even know why he's cold towards her. In other words, I dont like how the MC always gives in towards the ML and how the ML never took the initiative communicate with the MC properly and just ignored or acts cold towards her.

[collapse]

All in all, the beginning was good, plot holes everywhere in the ending, romance was not the main part of the story but its guaranteed to make you laugh. <<less

I love how the protagonist is a child that actually acts like a child. Also, she's a smart kid with kid logic so sometimes she can even out think her own system haha. I've read reviews where some people think that the beginning is pretty slow but I think its fine. Its quite funny and this novel has never failed in making me smile. A good read.
