Overall I think the writing is great, plot is good, characterization a bit lacking 4.5 stars rounded to 5.

First of all, don't take this novel seriously, because what kind of jerk made moves to someone with boyfriend. After I got over my annoyance because it's quickly revealed that

but even so, respect a relationship and wait till it ended to make a move. Don't be a homewrecker y'all.

It's shocking how the author's words lulls and plays me as a reader. I didn't expect the depth. I thought it will be some short fluffy mindless thing but I was wrong.

MC. Boy he thirsty someone give him holy water pls. He's shameless, but also the "past" kind of made him melancholic. Just a bit. He's silly and tenacious. My heart ache for the things that didn't happen. Also he's not mature at all so if you expect him to behave like a responsible 30 yo adult then don't LOL (i think even the 30 yo him wasn't mature lol)

ML is your usual cold handsome ML. This ML I feel a bit generic and lack characterization compared to MC. His "past" characterization is more interesting maybe because there wasn't much dynamic in the current storyline.

It’s good!! Their relationship dynamic it’s fresh too lol.

So basically Jiang Yi regressed? Into 19 y.o, then found out that his Husband (Chu Chuan) is in relationship with Chu Jiari, (ML next-door neighbor when they were child)

Actually in the earlier chapter CC already hinting us readers that his relationship with CJR is only for trial, because CJR is a bear child, and the more CC reject him, the more CJR will resist. That’s why CC make a suggestion to try for 2 months, but in fact, he do... more>> that to make CJR give up.

CJR and JY are reborn

Well, the next plot is about how JY chasing CC. I don’t think what JY do (chasing and pursuing) is bothersome or annoying honestly. Because it’s still within tolerance range, and JY himself also know that CC didn’t love CJR.

No angst here, even the drama is only one chap, and it resolved at the same chapter 🤣

The title may seem screaming “emotional drama”, “Ex-Lovers”, “angst” and all but trust me this novel is considered “sweet and cute story.”

If you searching for some angsty, please look for the door to get out🌻

BY THE WAY there are smut and it’s explicitly described in the extras😘

It's nicely written, as MC transmigrated with all his old memories and constantly acts familiarly with both the ML and other people, despite having not met yet in the 2nd life.

MC is cute. He's the puppy-dog type who's chasing after ML. He's honest with his feelings but sometimes I really feel bad for him, especially when the ML treats him coldly and calls him annoying all the time. MC is optimistic though and I really like that.

ML is... A tsundere I guess. He's the cool type and despite having a... more>> trial period of dating his childhood friend (not a spoiler it gets revealed early on) he's not really close with that childhood friend. Like, I barely remember their interactions. Sometimes, I wonder why MC likes the ML so much, despite all the nostolgic, good times he shared with him in the first life.

Even after MC and ML got together in the first life, that childhood friend still came back and tried to chase ML again, asking MC how they got together, etc. Then, using what MC told him in their first life, he pesters ML into a relationship, taking advantage of the fact MC couldn't be with ML at the time. I admit it might be bad to chase someone while they have a boyfriend, BUT! if someone asked you what you did to get together with your boyfriend and utilized all those tricks when they get the opportunity, despite knowing that you too are reborn and had a loving relationship with your boyfriend and never broke up... I guess that's why I think the childhood friend is a terrible opportunist. He never gives up on ML either and still looks for ML so the whole trial period of 'dating so the childhood friend gives up' didn't work anyways. Honestly I think that childhood friend is so extra, like just accept he didn't like you in the first life and he still didn't like you after dating for 2 months in the 2nd life.

I like the writing of the story and the MC. It's not really as fluffy as some other reviewers say though... Like, there's a lot of nosolgia and some sadness; tbh I think the only reason the angst wasn't heavier is because the MC is an optimistic person and tries not to think about certain things. <<less

I think that 18 yr old transmigrated into 30 yr old MC will. Be absolutely be overwhelemed with 30 yr old ML. Hahaha. But honestly, I think it is pretty sad if the 18 yr old and 30 yr old MV really did swotch places because the couple's situation woud always be one with the memory and the other with none. Though, the extra before the last shows that 30 yr old ML also came back with the 30 yr old MC in the past. I'm kinda confused but just like the pther reviews said, the extras are a bit all over the place and I would just believe in on what I prefer.

This situation of rebirth but finding your lover is with someone else... yes the plot is angsty but this is a short fast-paced novel so the sad parts don't linger. In fact, it often feels like reading a summary of their story, rather than a novel. Also, this is a couple who often likes to bicker... although I don't usually mind bickering couple, but for this novel, it was not balanced with enough fluff. Sometimes I wonder if ML loves MC as much as MC loves him, and I don't... more>> know if it's because of the pacing or because of their characterisation. Is author trying to show that a loving couple is only a bickering one? :) <<less

loved this! As simple as that. I wish we had more chapters looking into what happens after the big surprise in one of the extras, which by the way, I think should’ve been part of the main story. But, oh well, the timing of it did match up with what happens in the extras.

plot: simple and painful. Ugh. It was angsty as hell but honestly expected and the way ML treats MC is actually the normal reaction. If anything, him becoming fond of someone who is persistently pursuing him while... more>> he has a boyfriend (though he doesn’t like him) and who annoys him because of him bring practically a stalker is considerably strange haha. A lot of tension for a few chapters until the two eventually get together. It’s also very funny and refreshing.

pacing: a plus plus plus. Just right. It’s at that (bitter) sweet spot. Nothing is dragged out. No unnecessary misunderstandings causing conflict. No villains for extra effect except for the childhood friend who has been trying to steal our mc’s husband for god knows how long and he’s utilized just fine. f*ck you sir, give back mc’s breakfast.

romance & characters: I love the MC and ml. Their dynamic is so refreshing and fun haha. There are many bickering couples but only few feel as lighthearted and close as them. They’re written like rowdy best friends rather than a couple flirting, though the latter is also great. It gives a certain depth of flavor to their relationship that even we, readers, can tell that these two wouldn’t get into serious fights so easily and won’t have either one leaving the other because of their arguments or because the other is too harsh, which tells that they can say anything and express themselves properly, openly, and without any hesitation in their relationship. I love how ML is reasonable, decisive, straightforward, and knows how to draw proper boundaries with other people now that he has a partner, distinguishing the limits of those who aren’t his partner and in turn making his partner feel very secure in their relationship and it shows, especially in how the MC carries himself. He’s just a little tsun-ish at times but he never makes the MC misunderstand his relationship with others and proudly establishes mc’s status in his heart and life in general. MC is silly and tactless but hard to dislike. His clapbacks when in a war of words with ML are also so good and funny haha. The ml’s little spouse has a mouth on him. I truly love their exchanges.

sigh. I just wish that we had seen what happens after the og ML also comes back, like how did they settle after that? Did they do the things they weren’t able to do in their future life? does the green tea bit*h cjr die? how does the ML feel after seeing his wife still thinks about him and even calls him husband while they do the do and getting jealous over a mystery ex that was actually him? Maybe, we also could have gotten a little more dog food while they’re back to their college days, considering majority of the story was the MC chasing rather than their full blown romance. I want to know how they’d spend that time together after already having been married for more than five years already! Alas, that’s it.

But because he messed up his college entrance exam after he went back in time, he can't go to the same school as ML like he did in the 'past' future, but he didn't give up but instead went abroad to study and use an exchange student program to get ito the same school as ML (2 years later). When he learned that ML is no longer single, he was seriously schocked and devastated. But he just couldn't give up. He approached ML anyway he could, but received a cold sholder from the eccentric, taken ML.

Later we leard that the love rival has also traveled back in time and intervened in the love letter confession from MC in high school. He is very jealous, a bit scheming, but more s*upid and spoiled than anything.

We the readers also learn about ML's POV and the reason why he is together with Chu Jia Ri, it's because he wants to teach him, by a 1 month try out period that his delusion about love is nothing but a delusion. He isn't very considerate or lovey dovey with him either, rather he is a bit crule in crushin his hopes.

ML finally falling for MC seems rushed and out of the blue. The end was very rushed. It only gets redeemed by the extra chapters that share a bit of their interactions after they got together.

The plot in the extras is a bit all over the place, but they are still a nice and necessary addition to the main story.

This is a light-hearted, fast-paced romance!

Essentially, our 30 year old MC wakes up in the body of his 18 year old self. He had been in a relationship with his boyfriend (and long time crush) so now that he's a teenager again, he tries his best to woo him but finds that the ML is already dating someone else. MC becomes a bit down trying to woo the ML but it's cute (there are many moments when he worries that the ML doesn't like him back at all). However, despite... more>> these moments of doubt, our MC is outrageously confident (maybe shameless is a better word???).

Interestingly, the 'current boyfriend' is also from the future and went back in time. He managed to convince the ML to try dating for 2 months. It's pretty funny to see them compete for the ML (while the ML is pretty indifferent at first)

The way the ML shows his affection is pretty cute, though it happens closer to the end of the novel! I really enjoyed the extras, though I will admit that this was the first time I've ever finished a novel and had a cliffhanger on the extras.

The extras actually have a bit of smut and it's funny to watch MC try to seduce ML into finally sleeping together. Also, the MC often refers to the ML in his past life as his ex which makes current ML very jelly. The thing that gets confusing is that we find out that the original 18 yo MC gets sent to the future and meets 30 yo ML! I wish we had more on how their romance went but it was a cute extra all the same.

That was a light-hearted read. If you can stick through first 5-6 chapters, I assure you, it's a worth read. I finished reading this in an hour ig.

MC was kinda dumb lmao, and shameless as well. I liked him.

ML was good too, tho I wanted to see him struggle a lil bit.

So yes, love rival was a dummy dumb, no drama, sweet love, yada yada....

Main story finished with MCs getting together, extras are mixed with present/past/alternative lifetimes.

If you like a little push and pull then you’d like this. ML is kinda a tsundere and MC is best described as a puppy. I wasn’t really into the writing at first and the flashbacks (flashforwards? Lol) are a bit hard to discern, the writing in general can get a bit confusing. Otherwise, it’s a cute funny short story and is a good 3/5 for me. Its not like majestically good nor bad. Just an easy read.

Sure it's no Angst novel. But everytime MC goes Melancholy which is in almost every chapter, I as reader feel sad you know... (¬_¬)

Though MC's Shamelessness does make things better and had made me laughed sometimes. ε- (´・｀) ﾌ

MC has strong heart and mentality. If I'm in his position, I would go all sad and pathetic. MC didn't! He almost did give up, but he goes back anyway.

... more>> There's no Villain in this Novel. Just a Bratty person tried to get ML but still failed in the end.

How long Teen MC was in the Future? The same as Adult MC in the Present Past???

What happened to the Present Past that suddenly left behind??? Teen MC would take his rightful place or what??? With full memories or not???
