Please use proper spacing and paragraphs.Kang Xing Luo was a responsible and diligent pet owner (aka the official in charge of cleaning poop). One morning, he was in a car accident, that left him in a coma. When he woke up 2 years later, he entered a new era of mixed species.
The genes of various sorts of house pets were triggered. Not only did they incarnate into evolutionary species with high IQ and physical capability, but they also had the ability to take on human form.
With the labels #no house no car no work no savings#, #been in a coma for two years# #isolated from society#, Kang Xing Luo struggled in his new life. The cat master that he had come across by chance in the past (the cat is the “master”, the pet owner is their “servant”), the super big shot of today stepped forward.
“I’ll raise [him].”
Kang Xing Luo was deeply moved, then the voices of the second and third one came to him:
“You? Who needs you to raise him?”
“I’ll raise him, thank you.”
In the chaos of everyone fighting over raising him, Kang Xing Luo suddenly remembered. Back then, he was addicted to doting on cats; he carried the little cuties that he met home one after another.
He didn’t raise a lot of them…… just 6.

The happiness that they've felt since the MC really cares for them is just aww! My heart has been shot by candy arrows.
Accumulated happiness —> reaches the peak = evolution
You need a lot of suspension of disbelieve to enjoy it, it was a bit hard at first because two years just aren't enough for the whole world to simply accept that pets can turn into humans and them immediately being better at almost everything, be it acting, gaming, or business, they naturally talk, walk, and have in-depth knowledge about sometimes highly specialised topics.
It makes even less sense later into the story when the evolution is further described, you really have to leave your brain outside. The characters are great, lots of funny interactions, some business-building, found family, and other wholesome topics. What I have an issues with is the ML, the romance, and some minor things that are just plain weird (who plays with their cat's balls? Why was it mentioned so often and treated like something completely normal???) ML's character is somewhat inconsistent when it comes to the MC, he shows himself in his cat form, lets MC treat him like a cat, but two chapters later he wants to be seen as a man by MC and not as a cat.
His romantic interest wasn't developed well, all of the cats behaved as possessive as he did so it seemed a bit out of nowhere, like an afterthought that wasn't initially planed like that.
MC doesn't really think of the evolved pets as humans but still feels something for the ML, all while continuing to see his cats as basically his children.
It's hard to explain but their budding romance is just really weird because the story moves too quickly, I would have liked a much longer build-up with gradual changes and natural development, right now it feels borderline inappropriate. I'm not sure if I'll continue it, while I do really like the idea and everything is very cute, the way it was done just makes me lowkey uncomfortable.
You'll never notice as long as its been awhile in between
It took me so long to remember this that frankly I'm surprised I found it so fast again lol
But then I basically just searched the short version of this whole thing so-
I searched "in a land where cats evolved, I was in a coma" and fast Wonderful to read while getting your mind off something that got you angry, like trying to do the same mundane task in a game you have a love hate relationship with
I will really say more when I finish reading, for now I will be waiting for new updates ~
