Su Xue, a woman in her mid 20s, is struggling both in paying rent and finding her path in life. Her latest stint has her trying to become a popular League of Legends streamer, though to poor results. One day, she is interrupted in the middle of a livestream by a surprise visit from her landlady. She is informed that she will be having a new roommate. The landlady’s nephew, Lin Feng, a 18 year old boy who has just transferred over to Shanghai for his last year of high school.

Though initially opposed to it, Su Xue reluctantly agrees to the arrangement. She learns that the two share a common interest—League of Legends—and that he’s really amazing at the game. Lin Feng also reveals to her he wishes to become the best professional League of Legends player in the world.

The next day. Lin Feng attends his first day of school as a transfer student at High School 13. He meets Ouyang and Yang Fan, and the trio find a common passion in League of Legends. Lin Feng is then introduced to Ren Rou, the president of the esports club with a fiery personality, and Tang Bingyao, a quiet bookworm with a love for money and a surprising talent for the game.

A little about Lin Feng’s past is revealed. He was a once pro player, the youngest in history and a contender for the best player in the world. Until the finals of the Season 1 World Championship. There, he lost to his arch-rival, an equally brilliant Korean youth. That was the peak of his career, and also the turning point in his life. He stepped down from his team and disappeared from competitive play altogether. Now, after a four year long hiatus, he aims to make a comeback

Over the next couple of weeks, Lin Feng learns about the upcoming Shanghai 16 School Tournament, and that his school’s esports club had performed especially poorly the previous year. He agrees to coach the club’s team and help them win the first place trophy this year. And so, he starts the members of the club out on an intense training bootcamp.

Meanwhile, the Season 5 League of Legends World Championship is taking place at around the same time. Tian Tian, one of Lin Feng’s former teammates and best friend, is on one of the Chinese teams playing at Worlds. After a poor showing, he is on the verge of a mental breakdown. Lin Feng witnesses everything in a viewing party with the esports club members and becomes worried.

On the day of the Shanghai 16 School tournament, Lin Feng reunites with Tian Tian on the phone. He tells Tian Tian he’s going to return to the professional scene, that he’s making a new team and plans to invite him. But Tian Tian has to vow not to give up at Worlds and keep winning. Tian Tian agrees, and Lin Feng promises he’ll fight alongside him. Lin Feng then heads into his match with renewed resolve, to climb from the bottom all the way back to the top, and overcome the rival that defeated him so many years ago.

Wonderful translation team that add there own spin to the author's work but keep the feeling from the original just add some flair and not keep it 100% direct translation or else sometimes it would simply not make sense. Very open TL's and deserve to be recognised for the hard work into this novel. Goodluck with the website and can't wait to see where the novel leads 📖🙏🏻

A brilliantly written and translated ESports Journey based on a real game you can relate to if you've played even a bit of LoL or WildRift. Probably not as good as The Kings Avatar but definitely worth reading and reviewing. It makes you feel involved. And even though we probably can't pull off the same series of moves, just reading it is a delight

Even though I stopped playing LoL on year 2018, I still found this novel entertaining. The interactions between MC and Su Xue are funny, and the stream chats are also hilarious. So far I have no problem with it.

100% I recommend this novel,

Very nice novel. And also an incredible translation team working to give the best experience possible to the readers. Not to forget the translator's thoughs alone can be read as a standalone comedy book!

The novel is about Lin Feng, s*upid, clueless 19 years old teenager but also former LoL pro gamer and forgotten legend.

Follow him as he makes friends, gets a team together and climbs back to the pro scene! After getting his skills back in shape, and much needed character development.

Lots of League, highschoolers making friends, girl trying to... more>> make it as a non-erot*c streamer, lots of League. <<less

Wonderful translation team makes this novel something to read as soon as it updates. The novel itself is solid, and the team does a good job of making it somewhat accessible even if you aren't League of Legends fluent.

Give it a try.

Hey there!

You probably wonder how a League of Legends webnovel can work, well let me try to explain!

First of all, it's not exclusive to the players. You can go into it without knowing LOL at all (of course it's better if you know but that's not a necessity). And that is helped a lot by the translation team, but will be coming back to this later.

On the story itself, we follow Lin Feng, a former top player who wants to become the very best (how original right ?). The interesting... more>> part would be obviously in the goal and the hardships, but the side characters are far from being shallow and non existent. They have their own progression, their own hardships, and the different interactions are enjoyable!

The pace is a little slow at times, with a lot of filler, but the translation team is making a really great job! They know how to describe the in game scenes without making it unreadable, and make the novel reading experience so much better. This becomes really fun to read at times thanks to them, and the community they are building around it is really nice!

So give it a try, join us on the dark side of the Summoner Rift, join the discord server, and have fun with us :D <<less

This is a legitimately pretty good novel, its a different take on any other gaming novel where people get into a 1v1 or something as if it was yugioh. This isn't a novel about something that changes the world, its just about a guy who wants to be the best at some game.
With the 100 or so chapters so far, this novel is incredibly chill and the highest stakes it has would be losing a tournament where the big prize is money or prestige. The fact that it is... more>> also based on a real life game is interesting since people who play it probably knows what is going on. Although I don't play the game, it is still incredibly interesting. <<less

I definitely love this novel, but tbh I really love the fight between their editor and the translator, too bad one of the team has left the game early.

But I have a problem, until last week it's fine, everything's allright.

When monday come...

... more>> I can't visit the website.

I can visit the other website (another novel) but I can't visit this one.

I tried using vpn and another browser but it didn't work.

Is anyone here know what's goin on?

Almost forgot, can someone send me a link a discord for this novel, I can't find in WW anymore. <<less

This is a good novel in general. The story development is really smooth and the characters very realistic and funny. The novel on a whole is a good laugh and captures your attention even if you don't play league of legends. The translators have done an excellent job in keeping the novel interesting and true to original while keeping it current at the same time.

The only thing I don't like about this novel is that the chapter release is pretty erratic and infrequent. There are times they don't release chapters... more>> for weeks. Even at the best of times you get release like 3 chapters a week, even though their description claims daily chapters.

Talented, as the translators are, and no matter how good the novel is... its all moot if there is nothing for the reader to read. <<less

What a rollicking ride if you like to read about the people who play games competitively. The MC really is an idiot genius, with a great supporting cast.

And you really have to support the translation team too. They are as much fun as the novel is, though I just keep to the comments rather than wander into their Discord discussions.

I'm not even a league player and this novel is still a very fun read. The "I do not play league" barrier shouldn't bother you at all, the translators did a great job in bridging this gap and have created a wonderful piece of art. The MC acts childish a lot of times but the way the other characters interact with him make it very realistic and have depth and flavor.

Abysmal - the first few hundred chapters were enjoyable but it all went downhill:

1. tedious description of every match no matter how insignificant it is - at 2K chapters, he still does not have a team and did not start to fight his way back to the professional competition and the plot is not going anywhere. I know that word-diarrhea is a sickness of webnovels but this takes the cake.

2. We have one team set up as a big bad boss with superlatives about their midlaner that no one can... more>> match. But now we have such "experts" appearing every time we blink - suddenly they are a dime a dozen. The "power scaling" is worse than the worst tr*sh shounen manga.

3. he cannot decide if he is writing an esports novel or a brazilian soap opera - cheap dramatic subplots with idiotic behavior from everyone (including all adults - which tells me that the writer never passed past the mental age of 14)

4. Several hundred chapters (or thousands... would not be surprised) which could be cut off as they go nowhere - characters are introduced and then forgotten, subplots that go nowhere and are forgotten.

5. Illogical behaviour - the guy beats a retired pro at a uni competition, then on an exhibition match goes toe to toe with the top player and he has no clubs "hunting" him down to recruit him???? Really? His identity is only a secret because everyone is an idiot around him....

When I started, for the first 500-800 chapters, I quite enjoyed it - even with all of the flaws. After that, I thought that it is ok as a fanfiction (this is not a novel... any normal publisher would have thrown it out. At best would have told the guy to edit the hell out of it and come back when he removed 80% of this garbage and he has an actual plot). Now at close to 2K chapters, I only feel annoyed - I kept reading (while skipping all of the match description) because I hoped to see how he starts his team - won't happen.

One more story about a super talented hidden gamer playing a currently well-known game...

Nothing particulary, the MC is like always "too cool" for other mortal to understand, only the "reals" gamers would see trough his "disguise" as a common man. This novel honestly lacks originality.

Read it if you have unfinished business with the gaming world or whatever. But if you want intersting fleshed characters, intrigue, surprise, wonder, or even fluf with charming characters, forget this one.
