People that say this is knock-off oregairu would think twice again.

This is a way better oregairu with more meaningful drama, fun stuff, and a hundred times better ending than oregairu. It's like, Oregairu + Hakomari + Will you marry me if you were reborn? Combined as one. The premises are:

  • unsocialized going-home club member forced by the beautiful teacher to approach this unapproachable girl
  • They decided to create their own club "ex-staff club" and decided to help people left and right
  • Yukino and Arina have problems with their respective family, but arguably Arina has heavier problems but with a supportive mum.
  • MC is self-deprecating and bullied by his sister every day, self-sacrifice as well but Sui undoubtedly has a better circle of friends compared to 8man.
its an 11/10 for me, love to read something... more>> refreshing like this for a while <<less

I think this is the first time I wrote a review but this one really deserve it.

I was just looking at a series with a lot of chapters to pass the time for a week or two but I ended up finishing it in only two days.

First the MC is unique, ts not your gloomy loner that you found in every romance series. His personnality is refreshing and his random non-sensical jokes made me laugh more than once.

Maybe the pace of the romance side can be slow for some people... more>> but personnaly I enjoyed it.

I usually only read to pass the time but this is the first time I felt emotionnaly attached to characters.

Well to summurise : Its a very good WN I hope you won't miss it

PS : sorry for any English mistake it isn't my primary language <<less

This was one of the first readings that I have enjoyed beginning to end in a long while. I usually go through a few chapters a day of novels that I have on my 'daily reading' list, but this one had me binge reading the whole thing in one go. The translator did a pretty decent job of adjusting the puns, references, and jokes in a way that english culture readers can understand in terms of context/meaning. The translation and editing are not perfect but then again rarely would anything... more>> be. I still find it good enough where I call it high quality in my book. I loved the MC's carefree and easygoing personality and traits with all his quirks included. The way he and the heroine interact with each other as well as those around them had me smiling and giggling as I was reading without realizing at times. There were plenty of plot twists and moments that surprised me throughout the story which kept me wanting for more. The MC and heroine go through some nice character development, but some of the supporting characters have their own moments here and there (although it would have been nice to have more time with them). The only real gripe I had was with the last big plot twist/surprise before the rest of the story. I felt that it was really coming from left field and the rest of the story from there had me mentally tilting my head. Even so it did not prevent me being drawn in the emotional moments as the story was nearing its end. I really wish that the story was longer and for better buildup or coverage to the final big twist/ surprising change in direction. It would be one of the few times I actually desire filler content in between.

Overall I would give this a 9/10 compared to my other recent reads. I ended up dropping quite a few novels in these past few years. I tend to be one of the 'hangers' that stick around hoping for the story to get better, eventually reaching the end and coming to a realization in despair that it never got better and I just wasted all that time on a novel I didn't really like. <<less

I have to say, it has been a long time since I read a rom-com this good. I've basically binge-read it from beginning till the end during the weekend, I could just not stop myself.

I liked both the FMC's and MC's interactions and the progression of their relationship. The coma part was the only thing that was a bit much, but the conclusion made up for it.
