I don't think I've seen this kind of scenario before.

MC gets put in a fictional world, in the body of an antagonist in love with the FL who makes it harder for the FL and ML to get together. When he arrives, the FL and ML are already together, the story is over, and the antagonist ML (whose body our MC is in) is bankrupt, but not in as big a debt as he would be a few more years down the line.

Also, his account on social media is super... more>> popular, but only because everyone knows the terrible stuff he did to try and get the FL, so all his subscribers are haters.

MC decides to write an auto-biographical webnovel where he speaks of everything that happened without bias and without hiding the flaws of the person whose body he is now in, and slowly changes the mind of the internet.

I really like the concept.

I give this a four stars instead of higher because I feel like the story needs more editing.

There aren't typos or punctuation/grammar errors per say, it's just that some parts feel really MTL and I have to strain my brain to understand what is happening. A bit of editing to make it smoother and more English instead of 'translated to English' would really help.

If you are wondering if the story is worth a read, well based on the twenty chapters I've read so far and what the TL has to say about the rest of the story, it looks worth it. But if you're a Grammar-Nazi, you might want to wait until this gets a round of editing. <<less

Hi new translator here (◍•ᴗ•◍) ✧*。

It feels weird reviewing the novel as a translator-

But this is one of my favorite novels and I had been waiting for the update for a while! So after seeing it's has been so long, I picked it up myself!

It's really unique as I never saw a MC get transmigrated to the end of the novel, after the story has ended, and now has to clean up the mess the og MC left behind.

I really love the dynamic between the MC and ml.
Spoiler

It's the perfect strangers to I don't trust you, you're suspicious to friends to lovers novel. (Lol)

[collapse]

I really love the thought process of the MC and how the ML is always looking out for him even tho he knows the MC can handle it himself and trusts his him. (Also warning it's slow romance)

The og FL and ML are not really that bad and dog-blood-y. The MC's interactions with them are hilarious tho.

The story at the beginning is very light hearted and funny but do note that it does gets serious later on.

Spoiler

There's a whole fiasco with the system that I'm not going into details here because I don't want to spoil it for y'all

[collapse]

Also sorry for the weird review, it's my first time doing a review-

the MC at the start of the story is bluntly honest to the point of being offensive to the people around him at times and very focused on making money and enjoying this new life to the best of his ability. He's clever and a "my pace" kind of character which... more>>
Spoiler

drives more than one system out when he won't follow their tasks or use their shop. So many "quit" by the halfway point that I actually lost count. Then he gets the rebel who stays with him the rest of the story.

[collapse]

the ML is different and his failed attempts to be the MC hidden golden thigh at the beginning were funny to read, though I found his initial lack of EQ a little annoying. The MC knows the ML likes him long before the ML himself figures it out but he doesn't say or do anything, just observes so he can add to a story later.
Spoiler

he's also got more depth later in the story and the role of "dreamer"

[collapse]

after they agree to date there's some scheming and mild drama to get through, mostly when other people try to black him even though he's already black and is in the process of exposing all of his deeds. It succeeds about as well as you'd expect. (Up until this point, my rating was a 4 but by the end of the novel, it was a 3. If I could I would rate it a 3.5 but since I can't, it's a 3).

I was dismayed when the second half genre shift came, it was an unexpected surprise and didn't work well for me
Spoiler

one chapter its mostly rom-com with a little face-slapping and mild drama, and a few chapters later he's being chased by balls of light with big teeth and transmigrators are getting killed or trying to kill him.

the author's decision to go in a different direction after the MC's custom clearance was disappointing, though I know some readers will love it. Up until the multiple transcenders, law enforcement, and parasitic systems came to muddy up the plot it was a funny, simple, and sometimes sweet story; the genre shift into universal conspiracies felt very abrupt and disorientating. The front and the back could almost be two different interconnected stories.

After reading this novel for a while, I find the cover so suitable and accurate.

The MC is really resourceful and straightforward. Oh, his ideas of making money are endless. He's confident, funny, outwardly tough and sharp, inwardly caring. He's smart and you could even say a little bit shameless, lol. He has to report his grievances on the spot because a "cold dish is tasteless". He's good at making human connections and doesn't shy away from using said connections if there's a need. Anyway, I really like this MC.

The ML... more>> is slowly revealing his character, and at chapter 22 I can't say I know much about him and his background. It seems he's drawn to MC and wants to be friends. We all know where this will end up, lol. He starts out as an indifferent character who's good at putting on a gentle front. But after getting tossed about by the MC in his various money-making endeavors, ML seems to become a little more human. Though he still has that final boss aura and revenge business methods. I love the scenes when they're together. The ML's usually left speechless in the end.

The plot is surprisingly entertaining, but that's up to personal taste. I just enjoy seeing what money-making scheme the MC will think up next, as well as the public reaction each time he updates his online novel. His ability to create memes is unrivaled, lol.

Side characters tho. Can I just quickly mention that the MC technically has a system due to his book transmigration? Seems like they're just the comic relief. They end up quitting one after another, the MC is a veritable system destroyer... The book female lead and male lead don't seem to go the route of villains. They appear from time to time to add to the comedy. The book FL and ML also have an interesting relationship. The book FL is rather tough lol.

Overall, it's an easy, feel-good read to put you in a pleasant mood and chase away the worries. I'm currently marathoning it. <<less

This is so funny! The MCs thought process is completely different from everyone else's. The ML thought what he felt for the MC was friendship/brotherhood and sincerely prayed to Buddha to be best friends forever. I'm just waiting for him to slap his face. The ML is rich pretending to be poor and it's very funny, watching him try to understand what the MC means.

I am legitimately begging the current translator from 41+ to retranslate 1-40 after they finish the rest.

Because this book is actually hilarious and really uniquely reverses character stereotypes, however in my personal opinion 1-40 is slightly difficult to read and therefore enjoy the story. I appreciate the translations and understand that translator's desire to maintain the chinese authenticity of language in the ENGLISH LANGUAGE. But what is comprehensible in a chinese sentence structure doesn't make for comprehensible english imo.

Maybe I'm just bad at reading but I feel like 41 from... more>> the other translator just made everything slightly smoother... Perhaps because there were more sentences structured for understanding in English.

What I am saying, I think what makes this novel less enjoyable is honestly how it's been translated. I'm not ungrateful and I understand the previous translator's intentions but intentions and actual executions are two different things. Again, maybe it's just me tho... <<less

I have to remind people who read this novel, please see the main tags: COMEDY, SLICE OF LIFE.

So, since this is Slice of Life, then for those who expect a roller coaster plot, with high intensity conflicts, or even face slapping and revenge whatnot, I humbly ask you to step backward and look at other novel. Now, let's get to the real review.

This novel is Korean Drama RomCom, but without the DRAMA! This novel will make you laugh, get your cheeks cramped from laughing too much, and will make you... more>> feel amused from the non-cliche plot, and refreshing interaction between MC and ML. Their romance was not an instant one due to lust. That's what makes me love this pairing so much.

The MC is lovable. He is like, the most independent modern MC in the entertainment world, who never use ML's power to live. If anything, ML was helpless and couldn't find a place to use his might to help MC at all, because MC was perfectly capable!

MC even originally mistook ML as a poor person, and vigorously wanted to help ML to be a proper citizen and get a proper job, lmao. MC is so hardworking, witty, and could use every leeway to make money or seek benefits for himself. The very embodiment of real Chinese businessmen who could see even a small business prospect.

The romance plot is very refreshing, gradual, and endearing. Acquaintance to Friend, to best friend, to finally lover. There's no immediate falling in love from ML, like other novels, where ML immediately attracted to the supposed "pretty and delicate MC (lmao) ". ML's feelings was described to be gradual, until he finally realized he might love MC romantically. The MC also didn't fall in love right away because ML is a supposed "cold, masculine, hot, etc (lmao) ". MC fell in love with the ML gradually, because ML was kind, a good company, could be trusted, and his personality was something MC admired at.

One last thing I find it interesting here is, the MC wrote his autobiography, and I really like the precepts of the novels. It's like I'm chasing a novel within a novel. LOL. But, that's really intriguing, new, and refreshing for me.

Lastly, this is slice of life, so just read it to relax, enjoy some comedy, and don't expect any deep conflicts. <<less

The story seems interesting, but the translation is really hard to read; sometimes to the point where dialogue becomes disjointed or so confusing the story stops making sense and becomes an exercise in creative thinking.

This makes it very hard to rate the story; sometimes you're left guessing what the characters are even trying to say or express.

Usually danmei with hilarious chapters has a shameless protagonist and you'll definitely guess what will happen in the next scenario. BUT this one is UNIQUE!!! I really laughed to the point of having tears ??? I really look forward to his next chapters of memoir. NOTE, THIS HAS SLOW ROMANCE SO BETTER SKIP IT IF IT IS NOT TO UR TASTE. This novel FOCUSES more on COMEDY. Also, it has some flaws but due to hilarious chapters those flaws become negligible.

the MC is very capable XD that makes the ML's effort in vain (for some few scenes) and it's quite funny!!

Whereas the ML is rich pretending to be poor. Feng shui turns and he is pitted several times by the MC ??? If he is not pitted by MC through his own mistakes, I will greatly hate this ML for playing MC's feelings. A little pissed off with ML so unsure if I'm gonna drop this one. There are a lot of funny scenes!! Esp c14, 24 etc

MC is a super looking-forward, smart and resourceful guy who has plenty of ideas to make money, though ML often suffers from second-hand embarrassment (and sometimes humbled by MC) in the process! They have an interesting dynamic - ML often wants to do something for MC, turns around and sees MC already has a solution...

As in synopsis, MC writes webnovel on his 'life experiences' leading to several humorous situations... Book-ML and Book-FL are decent people, worthy of being protagonists... but, somehow, the book-ML, losing to MC, comes off as... more>> kinda cute...

MC-ML interactions and MC-system interactions are funny - the system 'tasks' are always left behind giving the system a trauma... Story is written in a very light hearted way - definitely a good read so far... <<less

Sorry for the mistakes, English is not my first language.
The novel is authentic in the sense that it breaks with most cliches of the system, reincarnation, romance, typical villains, etc.
Although some doubts remain, most doubts are resolved over time, and it is not boring at all.
Each chapter has its bizarre humor, the main characters are adorable and break the stereotype of many novels.
In order not to give spoilers, because I think reading is enjoyed a lot when you don't expect it, the story is sober, humorous,... more>> engaging for those who like comedy mostly, since romance is not seen much in the course of it. The MC has a unique personality and his ML is also unmatched, because each idea they have is incredibly bizarre and the complement they have is unique among all the couples that I have read from many novels.
It's a comic novel and I hope they give it a try. <<less

The story was quite funny and comedic at first. I skipped around in the raws and honestly, it got a bit confusing and repetitive in the later chapters. I decided to drop it, not because it was bad, this novel is just not my cup of tea.

I think the story was cute, and it was really funny to read at first. I do think it deserves four star up until the later chapters, where some confusing stuff goes on (which I really don’t like) and there’s this weird thing about... more>> the MC’s system and suddenly it feels like there’s this whole conspiracy stuff that doesn’t get explained really well? And I didn’t even Mtl it. Chinese is my native language, which means it’s just the writing style’s problem. Even though I skipped around, the author didn’t really do well on describing and writing the whole situation in a mood that fits the story. It just felt like suddenly all these shady 2d characters pop up and Hey! It’s just the system doing shady shit. Didn’t really work out well, I think.

Despite what I’ve said, the novel is quite interesting and funny in the earlier parts. I’d recommend it if you like comedic reads. (It does get worse later on though.) Sorry for the bad English and have a nice day. <<less

Started out pretty strong and funny but it became kinda boring. Might continue reading it someday.

Plot:

I honestly really like it. It's very unique compared to other transmigration novels. I've never heard of an MC being transported into a novel AFTER the body they're inhabiting has already screwed up.

He's on a journey to become rich again and enjoy life however he can. Goals honestly. Sadly, I got bored because instead of focusing on what he normally does (write a novel about 'his' sad cringe fail past while having funny interactions with... more>> the novels protagonists), he... became an actor. I personally don't like showbiz novels nor can I keep reading it past this point.

Characters:

MC is great. He's funny, straight forward, independent, capable, dry, and doesn't really seem to care about much besides making money.

His interactions with the systems are also hilarious. It's pretty rare to see someone just refuse to go back home or do any tasks from the system lmao

ML is... boring and generic. Not bad but meh. He has no friends, no meaningful relationships (besides the old guy), an orphan, is rich and powerful, and cold.

I do find some of his actions to be annoying and make me dislike him a bit.

(This isn't a spoiler because we all know who he is) Like hiding that he's rich and powerful for no real reason. The MC doesn't care enough to pursue it more and even mocked people who thought it was cool to do such a thing. Hiding it doesn't even add anything to the story or to their relationship because 1. MC doesn't care 2. Everyone else in the world already knows he's rich.

Spoiler

I also found it immensely irritating how he wants to sabotage MC's potential friendship with the novels male protag because of some stuff a background character told him. (Apparently being in a 3 ppl friendship can be awful if 1 of them is more closed off. You 3 aren't even friends. Why do you care????) You can dislike it, but who are you to try to ruin someone else's relationship without caring about their input?

It honestly ticked me off how he decided to just forcefully insert himself into the film the MC was acting in. Just to 'befriend someone'. (It's the MC) Dude doesn't even know how to act, he's not even in the acting industry! So disrespectful. Even the producer felt like they were grinding his tolerance to dust under their heel after hearing their reasons. Such an unattractive and self entitled behaviour.

[collapse]

Also... It's really s*upid how no one seems to know what the ML looks like even tho he's rich and powerful. He's not a recluse. He goes out into the real world and works every day at his office. His name also yields no results online, which is even more s*upid?? You're telling me this rich and powerful public figure that everyone knows about and that works in an important company doesn't have a SINGLE mention online???? 😒

Honestly, I much prefer the novels original ML over this guy. I ship him more with the MC too lol <<less

This novel was very funny at first. MC has transmigrated into a bookworld after the book has ended and he has been completely blackened and become bankrupt. He has lots of followers, but these are all black.

He gets a system that gives him assignments that will give him whitewash values. He can buy system props with those whitewash values.

MC decides from the beginning he does not trust the system, so he does not do assignments and hardly ever buys props. He still manages to get his whitewash value due to... more>> the books he writes and other things he does.

So all his systems decide to leave and get replaced with other systems, until one comes who goes along with him and revolts against the main system with him.

I especially liked the short snippets of the novels MC wrote and the way MC described how his original body followed and harrassed the original FL and ML and what he thought about certain things. That was very funny and made me laugh.

However starting at about chapter 100 the novel went downhill for me. It became very boring and weird. ML also became weird. Because of that I don't agree with most of the other reviewers and only give it a few stars. If author had stopped at around that point I would have loved it.

The ending of a novel can change my personal opinion about a novel a lot. If I really like the whole novel, but hate the ending, or find the novel average, but love the ending, then it can have a huge influence on my opinion.

Spoiler

A few things I thought were very funny:

-book describes how original became a fan of FL early on. When she joined a variety show to get selected to win something MC tried to get close to ML to persuade him to choose FL, he didn't succeed, because ML was very busy and not interested in the show. So he payd an acquaintance in the show to let FL be in the middle when ML had to choose a winner. And wonded, ML chose the shortest line and chose FL as a winner.

-describes how FL fell where there were no irregularities in the pavement, so MC came to the conclusion that she must have flat feet

-ended his novel saying in his next life he wanted to be born as FL's child, so FL and ML, esp. ML started having nightmares about having MC as a child. They became afraid of having children.

-In the extra's MC decides to write a novel about how he can live with ML without mutual trust. He describes that they decide they should lie less against each other and decide to wear watches for valentines day that give a beep when they lie. This watch should have a 70% reliability. However in their case it beeps in 10o% of the cases they lie and they lie to each other regularly. For example when ML asks MC "Did you miss me?", MC answers with yes, then often, then sometimes and beeps each time.

It becane boring / weird for me when:

After chapter 100 however it turns out that there are many people in this world with a system who have completed their assignment and decided to stay. They have to pay a certain whitewash value to be able to stay in this world. On instigation of a Mr. Wu, who also has a system and stayed, these people decide to act against MC to get his whitewash value. A lot of them have problems getting enough whitewash value to pay every year after their main assignment has finished.

Several "people" of the military division (also systems who keep order) turn out to exist in this world also help Mr. Wu, though MC manages to change their mind later on.

3/5 not that bad, but not my cup of tea.

MC is actually connected to a system, he's not using it tho. This is a novel about him making money via writing an autobiography and etc. Tryna whitewash himself, but not really.

He met the ML via his neighbor. ML is kinda pretending to be poor, at first he just deliberately didn't show his richness which lead to ML thinking he is poor and is after the inheritance of his old neighbor. There's no love affair between them currently, they're just friends,... more>> most of the initiatives comes from the ML. None of them shows signs of infatuation at the moment.

I didn't find it funny to read, just normal. The only reason why I persevered is because I wanna read CONFESSION and the other books, which I'm currently on the 2nd book. The autobiography that he wrote hooked me up.

The original stories' ML and FL aren't bad towards him, specially the orig ML, he's often in contact with our MC.

I'm going to drop this novel now since I'm feeling bored in it. I usually write reviews after finishing the book or before dropping it.

I love it so much!

It's the first time I see the MC getting up to clearing the name of the villain in such a creative way, literally, by writing novels about his experience. And I am not going to lie, the novels he wrote and how the characters - original female lead, original male lead, other people who hated on the MC - kinda interest me even more than the romance between MC and ML. Though I cannot say anything bad about it - it's cute, sometimes funny, and it's... more>> slow-burn.

Recommend to all lovers of transmigration genre and rehabilitation of villains trop. <<less
