Little fox demon WanWan died during transcending and ended up transmigrating into a CEO novel. She became Xu WanZhi, the boss villain’s contract lover.

Nobody had expected the boss villain to turn the table, revive his company, and become an unreachable billionaire. And the first thing he did after turning the situation around? “Taking care” of Xu WanZhi.

WanWan transmigrated to the perfect moment to turn things around; when Xu WanZhi was on Mu ZhenYu’s brother’s bed, and Mu ZhenYu, enraged and bankrupt, was on his way to catch her in his brother’s bed.

This was really good. I love the fact that she can turn into a fox at will. I also love that this story doesn't drag on and is only 54 chapters, but I kind of want a little more fluff interactions with her in her fox form and human form with the ML. 9/10 WOULD recommend.

The elements played out in this story are nothing new, except the MC is fox spirit who fails to transcend. She is quite chill but not easily bulliable. And, just like everyone else in this genre, she only yearns for being alive.

ML has yandere aura although he doesn't cross the line so far. Taking his past into account, his behaviour is still reasonable. Also, in the original novel (the book MC is transmigrated to), ML is writen as villain. It will be weird imo if he behaves like civilized gentleman.... more>> After all you have been warned by the title of this story.

What should I say more? It's light and short. Something you can read in the middle of lunch break. But that's all. The world setting is too narrow to make any comprehensive review. It doesn't even explain how a spirit gets in touch with a novel with modern day setting. <<less

I wish there are more extras but nontheless a good read! Some reader says or complaining abt ML, for me it's fine. That's the way he is growing up and there's a reason. Anyway the story is short and hope there's more abt MC origin.. Welp.

IIIIII love it. It is just simply too good to not read. I would not say this is an exceptional piece of writing, but it is essentially one without flaws. There are no plot holes, no excessive protagonist halo, no strange exhibition of characters, or characters without any 3Dimensional views. Even the translations are amazing and it is just a story that has virtually nothing for me to pick at.

Wanwan's character of a little fox was consistent throughout, thinking they are the boss to the end. ML's character was well... more>> filled with both pros and cons, an over suspicious overly domineering president character but one that was soft enough to often share his feelings and past with female lead which showed how he had feelings for her and was even vulnerable towards her. The moments he got jealous or unhappy with regards to wanwan, he expressed it healthily, and even his trust in her came with an appropriate level of suspicions and doubts, and he was plenty insecure as well just like any other person who is in a new relationship. He is not a flat male lead who just is unconditionally and toxically loving towards MC after one meeting and is a pretty soft character himself. I like him so much better this way too lol. Plus the characters in this book are not all just dumb, except Xu Tian, which makes it more satisfying. There is a bit of revenge taking, black belly, pandering to elders, physically engaging in fights, and other series of events that kept the story going, with a proper start and end. I love the fact that the showbiz part was interconnected with ML's business cause it makes celeb fights more realistic, as well as the fact that it mainly focused on career progression of Wanwan and not her exceptional luck in a beginner's stage. Fox magic just fits the entertainment industry too well.

Yet, I have to criticize something so here I go, nothing was exceptional or memorable. So while it was perfect and all rounded, it wasn't exceeding expectations and hitting me like a train at high speed. But I will give it a five for the good writing. <<less

I love the story. Though some of its logic is not perfect, the overall novel is a good read. I have my fair share of novels may it be reincarnation, unlimited flow, transmigration, reborn protagonist/villain/mob. If you are looking for a light read, you are on the right spot. This novel is for you.

The novel is short and pretty much there's not a lot of drama which is what I like about it. The girl is a fox demon who died because lightning struck her and transmigrate to MC's body. And ML is the Villain so it makes sense if his attitude is so domineering/controlling/overbearing and even MC is afraid of him at the beginning. And I understand why MC is afraid, it's partly because her magic power is gone the moment ML is near her (This reminds me of The Master's Sun,... more>> in which FL's power of seeing ghosts is gone the moment she touches ML) so she became weak like a normal human.

It's sad to see others with 2 or 1 star (s) review because even if there's plothole here and there, the lowest star this story deserves is at least 3 star (s) : (

Let me tell you, indeed the ML is controlling but it's not that extreme! I've seen other stories in which ML is more controlling NC which makes me frustrated but not this ML. I don't see what part is he too controlling? Heck, he even prepared coconuts in his car, remembering that MC loves those! That little detail is a sweet part of him. He never abuse her, never hit her, only glaring at her when he was upset. ML is smart because he knows MC is a different person than before so he saw MC as WanWan (her real name), not as Xu WanZhi. Maybe you see it as absurd, but I don't.

And about the plothole like OG FL, OG ML, and MC's father, why they just suddenly not be mentioned in the later chapters. I believe they meet their karma behind the screen. No need to tell the reader about that. What is disappointing is there's no story after their wedding :"). Oh well, at least it's a happy ending. I'm rather curious about how MC behaves around people now that her magic power is gone, so she obviously can't put magic charm around people anymore... <<less

A cute and charming story.

I agree with most of the other reviewers, the story has a good build up, but the ending felt lacking. I felt the ending was quite rushed and the "action" didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the novel. There isn't enough focus on their "real" romance, which is a bit disappointing.

I did appreciate how there was character growth for both the MC and the ML. Their transition from fake to real relationship also felt real, there was a lot of uncertainty and doubt... more>> on whether their affection was acting or truth, which I liked. As with most novels like these, it was pretty smooth sailing for the MC.

Overall, a decent read. Don't expect anything spectacular though! <<less

I like this. It is easy to read and doesn't get boring. Very relaxing. The story is not too drawn out.

All in all, it is a cute feel good romantic comedy with supernatural elements.

I read in MTL, at first due to others review I didn't hope too much about this novel. After reading some chapter I think it's not that bad. It's quite decent, not too good and not too bad.

I know that MC is look like a bit s*upid since she was deceived by ML a lot. She believed too much with the novel plot she read. It is a bit contradicting. She believed ML can get out of bankruptcy due to novel plot, she also thought ML is cruel since he... more>> tortured the original in the novel but MC never believed in ML ability despite knowing his history and so much hints ML showed.

Most characters in this novel is like having 1 purpose. MC only believed in ML and stay with him no matter what. ML deceiving everyone that he is bankrupt to take revenge on his dad. Jiang Yichen, only love pet and got close to MC due to her fox form. Shen Jin, Qin Sheng, Mu Xiyuan only to target MC and ML.

The book is actually very fluffy and cute. There are some unexpected twists, what makes the story a little bit different from the other transmigration stories. Both MC and ML are very cute, especially the fox !!!

I disagree with some of the reviews. It's actually a very cute story, despite some of its flaws.

First of all, the ML is a villain, of course, his character is gonna be little twisted. (Not like the villains who became mary-sue like most novels I read out here.) I felt for him when it was explained in his backstory (pretty sad actually.)

Based on the MTL the step-mom was behind it all. She hired a kidnapper and kidnapped the ML for 'ransom' so she can get the grandpa's money. God forbid the dad ON VACATION with the side hoe and 2nd son while this is happening, literally said his 2nd son is his 'son' not the ML and ML heard it through the phone. He somehow escaped after being tortured?, lived in the tr*sh can?dumpster, came home to find out his mother died :oooo SO his controlling personality is understandable since he fears to lose what he can't see. His whole company was built on finding out the culprit behind the kidnapping and his mother's death.

But progressively after 20 chapters you can see he changed with the help of the FL. He's always actively telling her how he feels, let's her do as she pleases, and is afraid she'll leave him after 6 months.

He is forceful tho not gonna lie, but he didn't abuse the FL in any way (not that I could catch from the MTL) He always reminds the FL to stay safe, has her cold coconuts in the trunk on the ready, and constantly worries about her so idk where ppl be getting abuse from.


Cute snippet. She's afraid of thunder and wants to sleep near him. When they were at his family home, but they couldn't sleep together, he said: "Why isn't it raining today?"

NOT SAYING he's a pure man, but he fits a description of a villain and a villain that won against the OgML backhandedly at that. A major tsundere/yandere to boot

She's okay. Compared to other FL out there, she's one of the better ones. She's very active and headstrong, no mary sue stuff. The reason she fears the ML at first was because of the original story AND every time she's close to him, her powers WEAKENS drastically. So no duh, you gotta fear him when the power that's gonna back you up doesn't work near him.

When she saw ML beat up chubby man up at a birthday party, she didn't care. When he went to get revenge, she didn't stop him cause that's what they deserved,

The only thing I don't like is she evades his questions. Like when he told her he's interested in her or trying to make things real with her, she just evades his eyes and not say anything. After all that, ignores it like it didn't exist. BUT I must say her actions speak otherwise and when she realized she likes him. She mudda frickin likes him. No wishy-washy stuff. So brownie points!

The bad thing which frustrates me is the world-building. It's basically nonexistent which leads to a lot of plot holes and leads me to a lot of questions. Given that its 54 chapters and I came here for the fluff, I tried to brush this off as best I could, and it's honestly a decent read to kill time. I enjoyed it. <<less

Lightweight rebirth/ transmigration story about a little fox demon who fails her cultivation and finds herself in the body of a book character. She only knows half the story but is willing to date the villainous ML for money. Her character is an actress so you get an interesting entertainment background, a social media presence, and a clever handsome “bankrupt “ boyfriend. the book was good until the final climax. It was so rushed and cringy, I had to constantly take moments to control myself. Also I want more romance!!! By the time the MC gets over her prejudice for the ML and they are falling in love, the author throws in a bunch of action and violence and then abruptly ends the book. That was the biggest let down.

The FL is not brilliant, but she is smart enough to be funny and entertaining, however she does fall into the trope of becoming dumber in front of the ML. She is OP but not as much as the ML.

The ML is nice, super sexy, and sincere towards the FL, he is OP, but in the beginning he was the type of annoying tsundere trope and if not for the FL's decent EQ everything would have been worse. Still he is pushy and extremely possessive.

The translations are good and decent, but there is still a lot of confusion with the reading when the names are corrected or mistaken for others.

The villains are mediocre.

The romance is one sided, and the author spent too much time describing how hot the ML and the FL are. However, there are sweet moments, sexy moments, and enough face slapping to make this an entertaining read. <<less

I really tried to read this but I just can't continue on with how superficial and forced the emotional plot of the story. I saw a lot of good reviews in NU, I trusted the site pretty much but it really disappointed me for bringing my hopes up. It's terrible, it's cringey, it's forced.

I don't want to say a lot for a passing book but I just have to put something to ward other readers who may experience the same sit like me. The story is cringey, the... more>> plot was pretty generic and unoriginal. There's no unique elements and character. What made me turn this down is how impossible the things are going on.

Like the original body was cheating with ml's brother and the ML saw her kissing but she just accepted her easily afterwards and forgives her easily. He's even smitten with her. Like wtf? How this happened? Should he have some doubts? His character exudes the 'dont come near me vibe' but he pretty much chummy with the fl. He instead gave her stocks to his entertainment company, being kind to help her moving things, protected her interest and safety. Just after a day where she just cheated on him.

This is impossible. It shaws lack of sense and it degrades the credibility of the story and the author. I believe a lot of this recurs throughout the story and I can't see myself continuing this torture.

Bdw im giving it a 2 just because I don't give 1 star at all. <<less

Lots of novels should be shorter, but this one deserved to be longer. Not only bcs the story is kinda interesting — a fox demon in the middle showbiz + fake dating = great starting point — but the between Xu Wanzhi and Mu Zhenyu looked really rushed by the end.

they didn't have a good talk. It was only “I have this trauma” “I'll help you in this situation” “Let me tell you this thing happened, and you are in danger”. Their relationship didn't look like “I fall in love bcs it's you” but more like “the situation made us close while we are fake dating, so we should get married by the end”. Maybe I look delusional, but I couldn't think they are in love. Probably they will have a kid in the next years after marriage, do the basic thing as parents and do their sh*t and the kid would be on their own.

By the end, when Xu Wanzhi was kidnapped, and she discovered that she was in love with Mu Zhenyu was so out of place like??? Why???? Ofc she is in danger to discover she's actually in love with the man she's been avoiding for the past 3 months.

Even in their supposed cute moments, looked like she was doing bcs she wanted a payment and not get killed by his hands. So when they got together for real, she was like “alright, I guess this is what I'll be doing right now”. And the ML wasn1t much better. She was canonically a bad lover in the OG novel, but was just she says that the contract will continue, and he is already trusting her? Why tho? Just bcs she “poisoned” his fake half-brother? I'm not buying. Besides, he decided by himself that they are on a real relationship in the middle of the novel. Then proceeds to put her in an engagement only as she says that she don't want to get married in a middle of a very awkward family dinner. HE NEVER TALKED TO HER ABOUT THEIR SITUATION AND GETS MAD WHEN SHE REFUSES A SITUATION HE PUT HER IN A BAD SPOT?? Please talk to someone, don't assume things like that when you are in a relationship. Get help.

FL is a 'Mary Sue' demon fox, and ML is really a villainous yandere.

Although there are plot holes here and there, the conflict kinda carried well, but the ending is a lil bit rushed.

The part that I don't like is how ageism was bluntly showed as stereotyping a villainous character, and overall how the showbiz industry and it fans, disturbing point of view of older artists. It really left a bad taste.

Overall, it a decent story.

Cute story but plot line had so many holes. Face slapping of insignificant side characters, and a fox demon that loses its magic when in contact with the ML but then will up a cultivation level when they kiss??!
