“Some say you are ugly and really ill and will not live till eighteen…….”

“Some say your personality is vulgar, even rural women are not as wild…..”

“There are also people who mentioned the theft of that year. They told it like it has a nose and eyes, like they personally have witnessed Miss steal the glowing pearl……”

A time traveler, she became the ancient version of Cinderella. Not only did her younger sister steal her fiancé, she is also sent to ChongXi by her father for other people…..

What a joke! It has always been her that slaughters people, when is it their turn to be arrogant?!

Beat her? Alright! A needle and you will no longer be able to lift your right hand!

Curse her? Deal! A kick and you’ll fall into the lake as food for carp!

Assassination? Good! Making it so you won’t be able to see tomorrow’s sun!

What? Want her to marry that Demon Wang whose eight wives died on the wedding night? No problem! She is the Demoness of the white and black world. She’d like to see who between the two of them is more evil, who is more vicious.

Only after marrying into WangFu did she find out this Demon Wang is different from the rumors. Not only are there different kinds of poisons in his body, he needs medication every day, and every night when it’s full moon, he’ll endure unbearable pain. That man’s weak appearance actually made her to let her guard down and feel pity. She vowed, the one who made him like this, she’ll pay him thousand, no, ten thousand times back! It’s just that this man, he doesn’t seem the same like he is on the surface……

  • If you're looking for a male lead that isn't violent and cold towards the protagonist in the beginning, then you're in the right novel.
  • This story contains bits of mature content.
  • The story plot has a lot of twist and turn, for example in just one chapter, the chapter starts off with cutesy scene then it ends of with someone dead.
  • The protagonist is a super Mary Sue. She already powerful at the start (poison expert/great at martial arts/a business woman etc) leading a sect passed down by the previous master.
  • There will be a lot of reverse harem going on (everyone loves the protagonist one by one) and obviously shameless female characters trying to destroy the protagonist because of jealousy.

5 stars for the MC and the ML's relationship.

I've read many transmigration novels where the male lead is a dominating and cold character with trust issues that makes you wanna slam your head against the screen. So this is a good one if you're looking for something more trusting, there are little bits of misunderstanding between them but they never get dragged on.

I will say that the storyline is quite typical where the MC defeats each of her opponent as they come along. Not a crazy amount of twist and... more>> turns till you can't make heads or tales. A good read if your looking for something that isn't too long or overly tragic. <<less

Really liked some of it. The mystery behind family stuff was good. Should have ended series before honeymoon.

Seems like beyond that point is literally just dragging time. Like pointless conflict. Got boring.

Before honeymoon is solid 4.2/5

After is like 2.1 and hard to read.

Firstly, I would like to thank the auther.

Thanks rabbit?

As for the novel, I feel it different from other typical reincarnation novels.

... more>> For plot, although the novel has the same undercurrent as others (eg: reincarnation, strong to weak etc...) but ot also has major differences

(A) the period of intial struggal is elliminated. It wastes so much of plot time. From a point of view, it is gpod to include this but I happen to particularly like fast-medium plot lines. ALSO, every necessary part of the story is on the point. EQ is not much but quite detailed and creates a nice balance. From my point of view, nothimg is unnecessary.

(B) I like the way the story deals with ONE THING AT A TIME. No complicated mix ups.

(C) Fixed number of close sub characters. No need to remember scroes of names and their charac. and relationship with the leads.

(D) I also like the way the author has kept major misunderstandings between the couples to a bare minimum (one time). I happen to skip those parts in the novels and then it looses its charm for me. (my bad). The reason I'm mentioning is because this novel on those few chapters still kept me hooked. So yeah, this was the first exeption.

(E) the sentiments of the human heart particularly betrayal and forgiveness although a little unreal still touches the heart.

Understandably, I'm not a critic so I dont understand anything about an evaluation. I'm but a lover of novels so I concentrate on the good points I can think of.

ALSO, THANKS TO THE TRANSLATOR (GROUP).

I liked the way they modified the songs and the poems for easy understanding and still keeping the meaning intact. Also keeping popular sayings and idioms same and informing about its meaning later. Quite a good learning method.

I would also like to thank the site for introducing the book to me.

Thanks for your hard work everyone. <<less

Cutest couple so far, no misunderstandings, no drama, but mutual respect and love is between those two. You will enjoy reading a story while not having to keep asking when they'll be together again.

It's so good how they describe the story I have to say it is one of the best novels I have ever read!

Its so good how they describe Murong Qi Qi and their personalities are so realistic the story is complex yep that is true but,

that's what makes it so good every time you read a chapter it feels like you're on a rollercoaster of emotions!

You are guaranteed to be attached to the MC and ML.

I was really crying when I read that Murong Qi Qi or Feng Qi Qi and Feng Cang were siblings! But in the end, it was revealed that Feng Cang wasn't even a 'Feng'! Kyaaaa!!!! I'm so friggin excited for the future posts!

This novel is guaranteed to make your Novel Reader side be ecstatic with joy, weep with sorrow, and mad with excitement!

I totally would recommend it!

I would like to give this 5 stars, but 2 things prevent me from doing so, firstly, after the beginning 50 chapters or so, the storyline takes some very awkward angles, whilst I enjoy some of the twists, a majority of the twists tend to rely on antagonists being overly delusional. The second thing is that some of the core parts of the plots come very very close to my bottom line of stuff I'm personally willing to read. Let me put things lightly, there's a LOT of disgusting and... more>> warped relationships in this novel, some of which are understandeable, some less so.

All that aside, the initial setting is pretty interesting, it's nice to have a reincarnation story that bypasses most of the hassle of "just reincarnated", instead we're given a setting where the protagonist is already setup. Although it then turns very mundane/expected, especially with how the initial plot turns out, I think the author did a good job of balancing the protagonist's character alongside her ruthlessness. Ditto the male lead, despite my initial misgivings I found myself enjoying the interactions between them a lot more than I expected.

The plot does heavily devolve later on into the story to the point where readers will probably be wondering "what is even happening with the "main" plot" because it gets sidelined a fair bit and some of the planning is so forced that it actually start getting annoying. I'll leave the details of one spoiler that just annoys the heck out of me. The novel does also delve really heavily into romance as well but I think given the setup that's done, it's acceptable to have the characters acting lovey dovey, a ton of humor revolves around their interactions and this semi constant flirting atmosphere is one of the reasons that most of the humor works.

Spoiler

So far the plot detail that annoys me the most is the fate of Mu Yu Dei, it's implied in chapter 6x that Murong Qi Qi has a plan for her, but that seems annoyingly absent the next time Mu Yu Dei creates trouble, all that happens is Murong Qi Qi taking advantage of a personal item to get her married off. That... doesn't seem like a plan. That seems like letting her go for no real gain, which troubles me because it's directly at odds with what her subordinates said about "better to be dead than living"

[collapse]

All in all, the writing is above average, but suffers from some really bad logical issues. I think the overall package works well enough, but this isn't an Isaac Asimov novel, expect to feel that the characters are somewhat mentally unhinged to be fair, this is actually true for some of them. <<less

Super OP MC as for the ML, it wasn't really elaborated how we was Demon Wang. All throughout he was just someone powerful but sickly.

It was passable to read, what had caught my attention was the live story of MCs daughter Feng Huang and abdicated emperor MYC with their 26 yr age gap which wasn't detailed as well.

MCs original life as YL, she was killed by her senior brother who also killed himself and followed her as she reincarnated as FQQ

... more>> Good with medicine, poison, dancing, playing instruments, tactics, martial arts.

Men falling in love with her, while girls falling in love with ML. Story about master/mistress and servants. Relatives, uncovering past events, removing the gu from ML, then it was passed down to the pregnant MC. The test they had to overcome. They had 4 kids and their brief stories. My fave character would MYC, he was loyal to MC, infatuated and all then how he fell for her daughter. <<less

first I'll start off with, if your having a hard time deciding if you should give this novel a try after you have read the comments,

PLEASE DO!

I don't know why this novel has so many bad reviews, it's so good! You have an OP MC who can show weakness sometimes but is never called weaker than the ML, an ML who supports her and doesn't treat her like she's some wilted flower even when he doesn't know all her secrets. They have a mutual respect of each other and... more>> their personal lives. None of the conflicts are too long as they reach their conclusions in a timely manner and are very interesting while doing so, leaving some twists along the way.

The only thing about this story is you think it will end long before it does, however I'm happy with that as it shows the story about them and their family later on which is always what people ask for in novels that are cut short.

now about the terminology used in the novel sometimes, if you've read other historical novels before you will have no issue understanding what is going on as most the words and phrases used are used in most historical novels along these same lines, and if you have issues google if free! (The translator will even clarify a lot of it)

This novel is one of my go-to's for rereading, I've probably read it over a total of 5 times at least. Super recommend! <<less

Fun at first! Lots of face-slapping, which is what I wanted. Got boring after about halfway through; FL had so many fun gold fingers and ended up barely using any of them in any satisfying ways. Like she had sooo much going for her and it just felt kind of like it fizzled out. Also be warned there is a LOT of SA in this one. Lots. Like so much. I completed the main story and can’t be bothered to read through all the epilogues. Oh yeah and they fully... more>> pull a Twilight move except worse bc

a second ML hooks up with FL’s daughter (26 year age gap). He and that child both deserved better than to hook up with the shadow of her MOM between them like... bro.

It's pretty rinse and repeat. MC and ML are so beautiful that everyone is jealous and wants to separate them but the pair end up taking them all down. Every time they go to a new environment you can probably expect a new villain to be in love with one of them.

This story was merely readable. #Rant time

Spoiler

The plot wasn't very good whether it was the Gary Stu male lead's name reveal as 'Long Aotian', the copious r*pe incidents among side characters, or the authors obsession with attempted in*est. Everyone in this novel was, is, or will be a love brain. More than 80% of the characters are ambitious and engaged in the various power struggles. The difference between villains may be whether they choose love over power, power over love, or attempt to obtain both. There is so much love at first sight it's unreal. Even cousins aren't let go. I think the only cousin who doesn't become a love rival is ML's only friend, Kang.

The MC is a cliche Mary Sue. She is skilled, smart, beautiful, strong, and has a repertoire of modern knowledge. She has spent 5 years before the start of the book creating false identities to cover her various activities in medicine, assassination, and business. She makes insane amounts of money from her clothing and jewelry shops. She somehow doesn't know a thing about s*x, as if she didn't receive a regular education in modern times. Men flock around her and she hates it. The only thing she dislikes more might be the women (and potentially men) who flock around her lover.

The progression of the plot from weak to strong was actually fine. The main cast travel the majority of the map settling various conflicts, so at least the settings are fresh even if the cannon fodder are recycled.

[collapse]

The best and worst thing about the novel might be the final extra. It gives a potentially negative perspective on the actions of the main cast. I think what most readers have forgotten is that the setting is already in a situation where the characters live in a country that had been usurped from the previous royal family. Highlighting a practically irrelevant major characters path for revenge is actually a brilliant way to reflect on the inevitability of innocents being hurt during a change of power. I don't feel much pity for said character unlike most of the readers in the comment section. Her initial treatment lacked proper guidance, but she learned alongside a princess later for many years. That was plenty of time and clues to realize that not everything she had been forcefed as a child was right.

My go to romance novel! I always read this when feeling disillusioned by love. Although it is unrealistic if you compare it to real life, that’s why this is a novel lol.
I can’t stand useless and weak mcs, especially female mcs, so even if the female lead is Mary sue, I love it. The story is written in a way that isn’t cringey, and it’s translated excellently, so it’s a pleasure to read. The female lead and male lead are so sweet together, I love the trust they show... more>> each other, and the male lead isn’t overly possessive and arrogant to the female lead.
To those complaining the female lead is too kill happy, even if the side characters are young, they already want to kill the female lead first, so why tf should she let them go? I hate that the most, weak minded protagonists who keep letting the villains go just so they can keep buzzing around them again and again like flies. <<less

Aiii, this type of little miss perfect is just not my style. I don't find the FL unlikeable, but there's almost no tension when it comes to conflicts. She's strong, she's beautiful, she's talented (in singing, jewelry making, martial arts, etc.). What's the point in all those jealous cannon fodder if she can easily solve anything and make all the men fall in love with her *facepalm*. I should have guessed this was going to be a Mary Sue fest from the title. I wanted to keep reading for a... more>> while to see if it would get better. But nope.

That being said, if you're the type of person who likes easy victories or just want to self-indulge into some fast-food romance and face-slapping, this probably isn't a bad read for you. I can see that many people liked it before, at least. It just isn't my type of novel.

Summary: (BEWARE OF MINOR SPOILERS) The FL, Murong Qi Qi, is a time travel from the 21st century (though it's not the one we know). In this world, there are martial artists who can slowly train up their bodies to surpass mortal limits. And the person the FL taking the role of is someone who was said to have no martial talent at all. The story begins five years after the FL had transmgirated, and because of this, we miss how she transformed the original owner's talentless body into a master of poison, martial arts, jewelry making, and so on and so forth. She had been banished from her home for some crime, and had been living in a nunnary since then (to the outside, at least.) In reality, she was playing with several identities. We first see her encountering some trouble with the Empire of Xi Qi's Prince Jing, who is actually the original owner's fiance. Unfortunately for Prince Jing, he's not the ML, and so he missteps from the beginning. Which is why, when the FL is brought back to her home in preparation for marriage, one of her goals is to break the engagement with him. As for the ML, IDK where he came from, suddenly he decided that the FL was the one for him. And so, that's where the bestowed marriage in the original summary originated. <<less

Although I wrote that I've completed the story, I actually didn't. I was bored at around the chapter titled something "woman in the underground" or something like that.

Spoiler

this theme of in*est that came up for the second time. And guess what? Both father and son are the same. The Emperor of Bei Zhu or whatever loves his younger sister. His son directly says that 'he has tried men and women but never sister' something along the lines, I'm not too sure.

Then goes on to assault the girl who is acting as the princess (the sister of the prince/the daughter of the Emperor)

[collapse]

Then I directly jumped to the last chapters, saw a love story of Feng Xiao and Nalan something. I'm terrible at remembering names.

And guess what?

Spoiler

The hostage prince who later became the emperor, who also might I add, had a crush on the MC? Yeah, in the last chapter (titled as 'special chaptes') the emperor married the MC's daughter.

So I'm still reading the novel but I'm almost done (will revise my review after I finish) I have to say it isn't at all as bad as some reviews say but I don't think it deserves all the high ratings, it's a middle of the road book. The usual "rubbish MC is actually talented/beautiful, gives face slaps, is beloved by many but only loves ML, etc" MC doesn't need to do immediate action, sometimes she likes to watch her enemies build themselves up before she kicks them down. This... more>> book is not shy about violence, blood, bodily harm, s*x scenes (a good deal of them are noncon) and
Spoiler

the really gross poison worm called Gu, the scenes involving the Gu getting out just grossed me out even worse was when it entered the emperor's body ?

[collapse]
this is also one of those stories where if the villains do something wicked to scheme them - like drugging it's bad but if the MC does it it's okay; so if you don't like those type of situations it'd be better to skip this novel.
She started out cold in the beginning but grew warmer as time went on - she's ruthless but also very protective & kind to her people.
Spoiler

in her past life she was an orphan adopted by her master, similarly in her new life - first she was unloved third miss then turned out to be a secret princess with "dead" bio parents, so when she reunited with her body's bio parents I'm not surprised she wanted that familial connection but I felt she was too quick to accept it. Especially since she's always saying her sect Moyu is her family first.

[collapse]
another annoyance was the amount of identities; a few is fine but wow it seemed like she was trying to rival Daenerys Targaryen with how many names/titles she had.

So here are some big spoilers with my comments
Spoiler

So this novel has an in*est tag, I don't know why so many reviews complain about the in*est content when the tag is right there. But none of it is in between our main couple... depending on how you see it. So major spoiler, mqq is not a murong by blood, she's a Feng. Madam murong swapped her out after mu*dering her baby - which comes with a whole nother drama. Feng Cang is her adoptive - not blood related - brother who she met as an adult; she didn't grow up with him, so of course she's not gonna think of him as brother. But I know some people will still say it's in*est.
There's a lot of one sided in*est from cousins towards our leads - which in ancient China was okay if some scenarios. From what I understand, mqq could marry her male cousins from her mother's brothers' kids but not from the sisters, and the reverse on her father's side? I could be wrong. But in the end her male cousin turned out to not be related to her, but there's a similar situation for ML. There's also a pseudo in*est where mqq's sister/enemy wears a mask of a prince's dead sister's face during s*x, her bio uncle/emperor is obsessive love towards his half sister/mqq's mom, mqq's original adoptive brother is there and he has an interest in her.
I'm at the pregnancy plot line, I don't mind it most of the time but right now, I really don't like it. The Gu that was in ML was somehow transferred to her, after she was pregnant I don't know how besides during s*x. They're unaware of the full extent how having a Gu in her will affect the pregnancy but it doesn't sound like a good Idea to me. And her body is weak so she can't abort without risking infertility. I don't know, personally I'd be repulsed by the fact that my 1 month fetus is host to a poisonous parasite, especially after seeing how that parasite affect my husband, so I'd abort. But let see what happens

It's a good plot but so much describing! I almost didn't read half of it yet I Definitely know what had happened.

If you don't know if you should start it or not, don't hesitate and start reading. The challenge is if you want to finish it or not. I may come back to read the rest but now I'm just tired of this.

And I reaaally hate the number of men who fall in love with the protagonist. I do adore the fact that many of them loved her before seeing... more>> her beauty but still I hoped some of them were truly her friends
