[Forced Possession Summoning] A technique to forcibly summon a person from another world and defeat a monster sealed within them. It is a forbidden large-scale magic that mankind has devised to defeat an otherwise undefeatable dragon.

Yukihisa Kogure, a black company worker, was summoned to another world with this [Forced Possession Summoning] magic on one day overnight. The dragon, Veno Yveval, was sealed within Yukihisa’s body.

『To subjugate a powerful dragon by using the life of a person from another world? They will come at us with everything they have. Won’t you cooperate with me to survive?』

「Isn’t that an offer I cannot refuse? I do not wish to die.」

Thus, the escape of Yukihisa and the dragon, Veno, began.

An otherworld fugitive drama depicted by extraordinary storyteller Aneko Yusagi, unfolds!

I'm not one to usually write reviews but I wanted to make one for this since there wasn't a completed review for it yet.

The first thing I want to note is that this is ended, not on hiatus.

It was a really good story and had a good end, it may of been short compared to a lot of other stories but I would say its 5/5 worth a read.

If anything you can read the novel for the absolutely best team comp of all time. For the record it consists of one human who literally has poison and desiase coursing through his veins, one human who has the legendary disaster class skill (and the name of the skill is a spoiler), one sweet loving - Dora the explorer - otaku & neet dragon without a body and one hatchet weilding mushroom.

Trust me. Read it for the disaster class skill and how our protag brutally crushed the trope. It's the... more>> best.

Oh and there is something about purifying the miasma and otaku/neet dragons past but I was too distracted by the legendary skill... <<less

... OK. How should I put it. The MC is normal, mentally. He does NOT acts like other isekai protagonist; brave yet too reckless, equipped with bunker-level plot armor, etc. In summary, he was summoned (against his will) and got a dragon sealed into him and barely escape from his demise by teleporting to a certain village. Thanks to the dragon being sealed inside, he was able to get a specialized job as Poison user (which grants pseudo-immunity (?) to any kind of poison).

Just like how a transported isekai... more>> people should act, he wasn't accustomed with battle against monster. You can see that when he was battling against the last boss of Prologue arc; there's no "absolute OP"-scene, only him struggling to kill the target (though in the end he used a little bit of cheat)

I won't say the story is that good; there are many moment where I thought "Aren't you just trying to prolong the battle? Do that earlier will you?".

Personally this story is 3.5 at most, but giving it a 4 won't be that farfetched, I think. <<less

Poorly written, think “Air conditioner manual” to imagine similar levels of excitement and style. This might be the fault of the translation, as it also often doesn’t really make sense.

The MC is boring, bland, slow-minded and without any feeling of self worth, it is just sad. Extremely unlikable. He is a software engineer that believes he works in a sweatshop and considers himself a s*ave even though he can just quit or work normal hours. Why In the name of god would a SE work under these conditions ? Is... more>> this supposed to be funny ? Is this a Japanese thing ? <<less

It was a disappointment. The story is really slow paced and basically the content of each chapter can be summarized in one sentence. Some of the chapters are basically useless and can be skipped. Neither the characters nor the plots is impressive. Not going to waste time on this series further.

This was a great story for what it was. It's neither a harem nor a s*upidly dense MC which was a great surprise given how most stories have one if not both of those things. Likewise this story has reasonable character and world building, while not wasting excessive time/chapters on pointless stuff. The ending does wrap up surprisingly quickly but yet does it in a manner that doesn't feel rushed. While there isn't much romance in the story (I wouldn't give it the romance tag that it has), there is... more>> still a romance lightly touched on and cleanly wrapped up by the the end.

Don't expect a literary masterpiece, but this is a nice, refreshing story that is reasonably put together and gets to the point without needlessly dragging things out. <<less

One of the isekais that I actually enjoyed reading. It's short and doesn't waste the words.

MC is good. He reacts to the situation well and is a pleasant person to read about. Honestly better than other isekai protagonists.

MC's party is quirky and each member gets a chance to shine. That's great.

... more>> What this novel sets out to do it does well. It's a cliche sure but as long as I enjoy it I don't care.

Nice comedy good action and decent plot. Yup this is why I rate it 3 stars overall. Besides it's short so you'll finish it quickly and enjoy. Good for a quick read. <<less

I think this has a pretty interesting premise and, while the chemistry between the two leads isn't currently super amazing, it starts off ok and seems to be getting better the more I read, which is important because that seems like a major component to this story.

I enjoyed shield hero and I fully expect I'll enjoy this too, though I should remark that the tone seems decidedly different (not much of a focus on revenge off the bat, though he's definitely got enemies).

I should also note that, although I'm unsure... more>> whether the author or the translator is responsible, this story is just really easy to read; it has a nice flow and the translation quality is good. <<less

Actually I am just re-reading this... I just miss the story.. since it's one of the few stories that I have encountered here on this website that I actually like and was completely translated... I hope this one would get an official English Translated light novel even if it's just an ebook version... I will definitely buy it.

One of those novels that are nice and COMPLETE.

I wouldn't mind more chapters though, I'd like to see the relationship of the MC ND female lead to progress more.

It's a slow paced light and easy novel.

I was reading this before going to sleep.

Out all of the recent stories, this is the most interesting one I have found. The premise is hilarious, and the semantics used both by the dragon and the man are perfect

Personally, this is one of my favorite isekai series to date, the protagonist is strong but not ludicrously overpowered, the characters seem to think critically and the comedy is seeded throughout but light enough not to detract from the more serious moments. It doesn't seem to suffer from wish-fulfillment styled writing and it has a clever inversion of the traditional 'food p*rn' trope in that

what to say, really good story, the ending is abrupt to say the least, but still pretty satisfying

it feels like if good stories have a start, middle and end, this story has a good start, a good middle and the ending was pushed out of nowhere to the end of the second act, no third act, it catch you by surprise, but it still gets a proper resolution, so, nothing to say here, 5/5, I recommend

It is very satisfying to read a story with a proper ending.

The author had a story to tell, he told it, and then concluded it properly.

More web novels should be written like this.

Pretty good, captivative and quite an easy read. The pace is a bit slow and the dialogues between protagonist and the dragon sealed in him are a bit too wordy, but still an above average japanese rpg novel. Would had given it 4.5 stars if it was an option.

I think the author did a good job telling a great story. The world building stayed limited to what was needed to tell the story. The humor was nice, especially the interactions between the MC and the dragon.

I only give it 4 stars because of the rushed ending. I assume the author got tired of the story or something.

The setup to go cure the sister feels more like the pacing that the rest of the story had shown. At that point the mastermind catching up to them would have made more sense. That would have been maybe 10 or 15 more chapters at most and read much better.
