This is a rare case, the novel start is really common and cliché, nothing in particular is bad or good but in one point (when the MC starts to use his real main power), the novel changes completelly and the novel improves radically from 3 stars to 5 stars.

My only one tip with this novel is, be patient, wait and read the first 50 chapters, because after that you'll be inmesed into a novel full of funny and anjoiable characters (I love Maze). I've laugh really hard on many, many,... more>> many chapters, specially when the MC powers doesn't obey him. This novel is like a snowball running down a hill, It became bigger and biger. It has some classic fantasy, VR, Murim or even some Scifi. I've read the chapter 211 today and I almost died of laughing.

Spoiler

Remember, await to the first Evil emperor arc, you'll thanks me later.

If you are looking for some serious action with complicated plots, this is NOT for you. If you are looking for something to help you relax, breathe, and ease the tension from reading serious action novels with complicated plots, then this is FOR YOU. This is something you read when you just want to have fun, not overthink things, and just be entertained for a while until you're ready to take on more serious novels.

The way I see it, the author of this light novel is writing this to share... more>> their own fantasy. I get this feeling that they don't really care what readers say because they just want to write what they want to write. While the story itself has several issues, the attitude of the author does not change at all.

Misunderstandings are often used but still funny anyway, with an OP MC who has it all - wealth, reputation, and powers of earthly kind to cosmic levels - it's as easygoing and self-indulgent as it can get. You'll be wasting your time looking for plot holes and pointing them out because, like I said, the author seems hellbent on writing only what they want to write, just having fun without any expectations from the world, an author who appreciates good comments but simply smirks at negative comments lol.

Honestly, from the many poorly written light novels I've read, to well-written ones but with obviously fatigued authors out there, I can appreciate the happy-go-lucky attitude of this story. At least for me, this is the safe type of novel where you don't need to worry about enemies and direction of the story. Just go with the flow and ride along the MC's adventure - no matter how ridiculous it gets. <<less

where I liked it.

But tbh, it wasn't like that was the worst thing. The worst thing is the absolute amount of bs that ensues. The MC thinks he's in control of everything, but the situation actually just keeps spiraling more and more out of his control. And although the "It will be fine, right?" and the "Let's not pay any mind to this, there isn't any chance this can go wrong" moments can be funny, the trope is tiresomely overused from then on.

Also, the way he is aware of a lot of things that aren't necessarily a good omen, but he just ignores it. It infuriates me to no end.

Another thing that I didn't particularily like is how, even though he grew to become immensely powerful and op, it wasn't actually him who controlled the power. It was his skill who did. It didn't bother me in the beginning because the actions of his skills pretty much aligned with what he wanted (to do). But as the story keeps on, his powers just do what they like? Regardless of his actual thoughts or intentions.

Yeah, so basically what I really didn't like about this is how everything fell out of his control, in a really unsatisfying sort of way. <<less

Just a few chapters set the tone for the novel and this is tr*sh, MC always worried about being killed for no reason by everybody he meets (which is only like 3 people, yet he won't shut the f*ck up about it) shudders when people look at him like a coward which would make people suspicious who know him.

These villain novels are tr*sh because MC's like this one are idiots.

Wouldn't wipe my ass with this tr*sh.

This novel is a great slice of life story. The MC is so rich that he can literally burn money without giving half a shit. He funnels a sh*t ton of money to increase his aptitudes while shittalking the original author for how sh*t the power system is and the loopholes it has.

The past TL split up chapters into three which resulted in this messy chapter order.

It's a great novel but don't expect a great story or a literary masterpiece while reading it. It's more laidback and SoL compared to... more>> the others.

It seems like most of the reviews rating it slowly are complaining about the pace only read the past TLs work so I can see why they'd complain. <<less

Honestly, I really liked the premise at first. But later on, it just starts becoming goofy and the scale of things keeps getting bigger than it becomes harder to visualize.

I thought this was gonna buy a story of how a supposed villain who was destined to die fights back and wins, all while having some silly misunderstandings and funny moments.. Instead, it's not that. It's just a story of a bunch of coincidences happening and somehow benefiting the MC, focusing way too heavily on the coincidence part. No character development... more>> at all.

Things start feeling less serious and eventually you'll stop cari g about the characters because there's no proper character development. I'm kinda pissed about that. So much potential got wasted.

The first 50 chapters were so good. Such a shame. <<less

Its ok...

I mean, is there a conflict in this novel, or characters? We don't get any trials since he either passes with ease or has it pre-emptively solved. The chapters are too short to see any developments and characters don't have conversations above surface-level. How can I care about anyone but the MC when their only descriptions are brief info dumps.

Also the author didn't want to create a world so he pasted typical Korean modern dungeon world, it isn't even relevant to the plot

It's competent and entertaining. The lack... more>> of plot, trials and character development just make it so plain. Would recommend something with more oomph. <<less

understandable as the villain was a big as*hole who r*ped and abused with everything he had, got worse as he got the hypnotism skill, but it appears the MC will get better powers

[collapse]

He obviously uses knowledge, money and talent to get strong quickly, and I look forward to seeing how strong he will get in 2 years

Give it a try if you enjoy novels like this (modern setting with levelling, monsters and powers), move on if you don't

(edit c47) Completely hooked now, the MC gains cheats, powers up quickly (even if it's just talent-wise), and I can see the "misunderstandings" tag becoming included, as it appears the villain wasn't as villainous as the MC thought, which I enjoy. The wealth cheat isn't one I see used frequently and correctly, I really like how it is abused here, this novel has gone straight to the top of the hourly refreshes list, and I'm seriously considering becoming a patreon.

It can be slightly confusing as to how some mechanics work, but read with enough attention, and you will get the picture.

This novel is one of the best wish fulfilment ones out there, not as serious as your typical korean webnovel, which is great. <<less

Honestly it's just good fun. It's not a very serious novel but has some really fun moments and some epic moments. Conflicts are usually resolved fairly easily, enough that you can't really call them conflicts?

Follow our OP MC as he gets decidedly more OP and accumulates a bunch of OP followers. Maybe it's just to my tastes but it's makes me smile and laugh quite a bit while reading.

I could've given this a 3* if only the author wasn't obviously self-inserting himself as the MC as he showered himself with absurd amounts of wealth, skills and hoes. Instead of polishing the plot or the world building, the author proceeds to show how awesome the MC is, as if he is awesome.

The work had potential in the initial chapters because of the tension/danger the MC was subjected to. Sadly, instead of improving the story through it, the author decides to throw it all away and proceed to make life... more>> extremely easy for the MC to the point that all potential conflicts and problems were solved within a chapter or less.

In my eyes, this novel is masturbatory at best. No substance, no logic, nothing interesting just the author living vicariously as the MC while being subjected to disgusting amounts of self-pleasuring. <<less

The writing doesn't have a smooth flow, it's like reading a student's work. It just suddenly cuts off and baam the next scene. I've read the early chapters, and there's nothing that interests me. Just a bunch of the MC's inner monologues on how bad his character is, on how this individual would kill or hate him. That everyone around him is scary and could kill him if they want to.

In conclusion, it bores me. Definitely overrated, this should be between 2 to 3, or could be lower since KN... more>> Novels' quality are on a state of steady decline. So yeah, if it has a bad start, don't expect it to get any better. <<less

Quite enjoyable to read. It's still quite early to make a fully informed review, but I think this novel has great potential.

So far, there hasn't been much action, with only a few fights, most of which the MC completely dominated, but I think that's the charm of this novel. It has a vibe similar to Overlord, where although the fights are kept to a minimum, they showcase the overwhelming power of the MC and his followers.

Similarly to Overlord, the MC also has great subordinates, is treated akin to a god... more>> and his followers misunderstand that he has a great plan in mind, except on a larger scale with the whole world seeing him as an unparalleled genius that will change the world.

Some see him as a godly being, others as a genius, and his enemies see him as evil incarnate. However, he is just an ordinary guy using his knowledge of the novel world to remove all obstacles in his path to live a carefree rich life.

The MC obatains great talent at the beginning using his knowledge and uses his enormous wealth to power up quickly. He doesn't immediately become the strongest, but he also doesn't suffer through intense training or life-or-death battles either since he can analyse and adapt any technique instantly.

If you're looking for power training or cultivation, then this isn't for you.

However, if you like a power fantasy with funny misunderstandings then I highly recommend his novel. <<less

To be honest, this isn't that well written nor any different from most KR novel with OP MC. I was expecting it to get better but it get even more cliche. The MC ability is too strong and OP that I'm afraid there won't be any challenge. The characters are rather basic, the world lore is also basic and unoriginal. It start of interesting but get more bland and flat later on as there is a lack of drama or any conflict. If you expect anything original or different then... more>> you will be disappointed.

However on the flip side if you want more of the same stuff that we are familiar with and expect from this kind of genre then it is an entertaining read. If you are looking for some powertrip time waster that is not insultingly bad then this is a nice read. The MC is decent, unlike the s*upidly overbearing Chinese MC or the overly beta JP MC, this one has a good balance of both so you can leave while feeling neutral.

Yknow that feeling of emptiness, anxiety and longing after finishing reading/catching up with a really good novel and now have to wait for days or weeks or if it is an LN, months before the next release? Yea this novel doesn't give any of that but it sure does help in making me recover from that feeling lol. Kinda like hangover treatment and that's why I'm giving it 4 star, GG <<less

Kind of a letdown. One commentor compared this protagonist and story with Cale Henituse from tr*sh of the Count's Family, which is my all-time favorite. So, even though it had the harem tag and a much lower rating, I gave it a shot, but there's absolutely no similarities between the characters and stories at all, beyond that they both transmigrated into rich cannon fodder villains.

This story doesn't have much action at all yet, and it's not really world building in the meantime, as it keeps reminding us that it's a... more>> tr*sh world created by a tr*sh author. The protagonist isn't cunning at all. In fact, he seems to be the dense type. I'm only on chapter 47, and we've already met the third cardboard cutout who's going to join his harem he's assuredly going to continue being 'cutely' ignorant of for many more chapters.

I will say that it is, so far, palatable for a harem novel. But, for the love of all things good, can we please not compare Snickers to molten lava cake? Snickers are good on their own, a lot of people like them. I don't, since I hate nuts (a stand in for harem). But if you say they taste like a fresh molten lava cake, and people who like cake eat them expecting to taste moist chocolate cake with a warm, creamy fudge filling, they're probably going to be disappointed enough by the false claim to forever dislike Snickers. Even if they like nuts. <<less

Surprisingly good, but very slow pacing.

The MC so far has solved all his problems (if you can even call them that, there's barely any tension at all) with the power of money, and yet the combination of good writing and good translation makes it a decent read.

I think your preference for this novel to be good or bad will depend after you read it, because for me it cl**ked real good, I liked the premise the way its qritten and the characters, so maybe just READ IT first then decide if you will continue or discard. READ AT LEAST 20 to 30 chapters then see if you rate it good or bad.

I ADMIT. The first few chapters might sound a little frustrating, I almost dropped it, BUT, it gets better, so try it first, ,

I'm currently on the latest translated update, and so far so good. Based on my opinion, this is a good read, tho at first few chapters, it's very slow development and the ML seems like a coward but I'm going to continue reading it anyways ? This is a good novel. I like how he strives to improve himself and takes every opportunity he gets.

❗EDIT❗

Currently I'm at chapter 73 in the mtl cuz the translated version is very slow ?... more>> THIS NOVEL IS REALLY ? Just pls be patient (or just read the mtl with me ?) other reviews with 1 star doesn't know how great the ML was cuz fr, the chap 35 here is at chap 14 in the mtl. And I also love how they always misunderstood the ML for doing something good ? And I love how jinwoo doesn't follows the plot of the orig novel and he strives for the plot to be better and beneficial to him.

For now:

Un balanced but entertaining;

It's worth to watch. It doesn't feel mature enough so just read it as second option. Second option I do recommend. Specially if you are just looking for something to read.

Also translation splits chapters in half and basically if you want to read the raws maybe divide by two.

Some parts really feel naive but I tolerate it because the author has good sense tho.

for me it doesn't look developed enough. What im really hoping is for the novel to get better..I mean it's good.. but I really like great you know.

Well honestly lots of parts are naive in the story but I do want to discover at what really is happening in the background.

Why are the things happening.

Honestly it could be disappointing in the future and I haven't finished it. but the author has a kind of good taste.

sadly so far I feel lots of golden drama opportunities have been missed..: (that's what I call unbalanced some seemingly easy thing's should be unexpectedly hard and vice versa.

I mean you can be naive but please be at least somewhat tricky dealing with it you know.

However it feels like author could very well develop his writing further in this work.

In fact I'll search for more novels from this author; he's worth it. I even believe this novel can get better further down.

But it's a good novel. For what it is it's good enough. Im reading it while I'm at my job breaks and I'm secretly looking forward to what is going to happen further down in the story. really it could improve to something spectacular.... Well maybe hehe.

Just advising if you are looking for serious gold don't be disappointed. This is good silver tho, I'd say.

[collapse]

Good novel. Promising.

2nd edit; wow it's actually very cool. It became a solid 5. Wow. Ty for showing this awesome novel man. It's very cool hehe.

NVM what I said before it's actually golden. It won my heart and I was easy. Thank fully I sticked to this novel and it's actually my taste. I'm lucky hehe.

But still the novel is no serious novel tho. More like comedy really but cool. <<less
