So, I read the first chapter, hopefully the translator continues. It seems to be a good one, lets see how it develops. It's basically about a guy who gets a piece of land and develops it like farmville I suppose. It's a bit cliched but whatever I love it so I don't mind. Thanks to the translator for bringing this out.

So, I won't say much, as I already had my hopes builded immensely by the first few chapter of several novels just to have them crushed soon after, but as of now, it seems promising. I mean, if you are here reading this, you problably already know the "classical" of the genre, so what I can say is with the condition of that the translator keeps working (even at the current 1chapter/month pace, after all I'm not picky) and that the novel doesn't make a sharp bend straight to the... more>> cemetery of chiched plots and poorly written characters, it will have at the very least one regular reader, myself :D <<less

The novel itself seems nice, the translation appears to be good.

The chapters are not extremely long, but it's paragraphs rather than line breaks at every single simple phrase, so the content per chapter is decent enough.

My main problem here is that the translation is slow, with as much as a full month between the first two chapters. Usually translators try to get out the first 4-5 chapters relatively quickly, before either finding a pace they are comfortable with (like once a week, but depends on the person). Sadly, it's not... more>> even because the person is releasing a lot of other things, as there was just an other chapter of an other series (early chapter too by the way) close to the chapter 1 of this one, and then a big void.

The blog is maintained by a single person, started in June, and right off the bat started doing way too many things for a single person. We are not talking about just 1 or 2 stories at once, but 2 original novels, 1 novel translation and 4 manhua (korean mangas).

Now, I'm not saying people can't do many things at once, but this is a perfect recipe for rushing a lot of things in the first few weeks before burning out and abandonning everything without giving signs of life ever after on the blog.

What I'm saying is, read those 2 chapters as if there was not going to be any more translated in the near future, or you'll probably end up being disappointed.

By the way, after 2 chapters, the story is still at "telling about the main character's current life before the story starts", so it seems that unless a translation group with decent staff picks it up, we probably won't see anything worthwhile from this one in a long while. <<less
