4 "if you can handle the first 3 arcs, you're good" Stars

Because for real, those first 3 arcs put me to the test. I kept having to repeat "it's fiction, it's QT" lmaoo. But it gets so good in the middle! I feel like the latter half really dialed up the fan service and dog food. There are 20 total worlds and, of course, an over-arching love story. The FL is pretty quick with catching onto little clues about the ML, so it's one couple from beginning to end.

TRANSLATIONS

The translations... more>> switch between a dead site and Isohungry. I was able to find the translations from the dead site on random aggregator sites by Googling. Both translators (I believe they switched based on arcs) were great! I feel like maybe some MTL was used because I noticed some phrases that weren't direct translations, but that just goes to show how easy it is to read with MTL as well. I believe it's dropped by both translators at the beginning of Arc 8 but pretty MTL-able, especially if you use a translation plug-in on a site with the original Chinese text. (The MTLNovel chapters are pretty bad, Google Translate is enough imo.)

PROS

  • FL & ML are 110% devoted to each other. They both love cleanliness (so they're usually each other's firsts, LMAO), there are no third parties creating misunderstandings, messing their love story up, etc.
  • The overarching plot is that the FL has to diminish the ML's "evil value" from 100 -> 0 in order to gain "merit points" from the Void Beast, Xiao Ba, that she has a contract with. Once Xiao Ba gets enough merit points and ascends (or whatever), she can basically visit her old world where she previously died. Pretty simple and easy to follow! It helps that for each world, the villain from World 1 (our ML Xue Ming) follows along with his primordial spirit. Although his memories are lost since his spirit is repairing itself, he continues to fall in love with the FL Nan Xun in every world. They were definitely made for each other.
  • I like how the ogProtagonists for each world are pretty multi-faceted characters, and not just out for dog blood. Of course they have the power of luck on their side, but it's very interesting to follow their actions/emotions after the ML and FL leave their world. Idk, there was just something profound about how they chose to act after their original storyline goes a bit (or a lot) off course.
  • The contracted beast Xiao Ba was a funny sidekick as we watched him gather merit points and grow. While he helped the FL with some things like masking pain, having healing pills, spying on certain people in the world, etc, he wasn't too much of an OP sidekick. Sometimes he be cultivating and the FL has to figure things out on her own lol.
  • The FL is likable in that she's pretty smart (although she does do some silly things, most of her plots work out well). Many of her roles in the different worlds is coaxing the ML. The ML is your typical possessive, yandere, "no one not even our family members can get close to her but me", stone-faced unless talking to the FL kind of lead. In the first world he's, umm, pretty batsh*t crazy, but while repairing his spirit and jumping through different worlds with the FL, he mellows out and becomes the typical Cnoval ML. I kinda miss his unhinged thoughts but you can definitely say the FL successfully tamed him. Of course through ~love~.
  • The worlds are fun and unique! The author surprised me with bringing the FL to a world where the she isn't a "pale white beauty" and one where she's not a skinny legend. More details about those worlds in the spoiler tab.
CONS

  • Sometimes the worlds can get repetitive - not because of storyline, but because of the FL's actions. So she basically gets the ML to fall in love with her to diminish his evil values, right? A lot of that is coaxing, pouting, playing cute, and in general getting him to teach her things (since in each world he's pretty OP as the villain). This doesn't happen in every world, but with 20 of them, there's definitely a pattern. It becomes a formula of 1) find ML 2) get him to notice her and coax him into letting her stay by him 3) them becoming a couple/showering dog food to everyone else and then 4) sexy times (lol!) until his evil value becomes 0. It made me quite tempted to skip some chapters.
    • I feel like with all the worlds that are covered, the author could have explored a larger variety of 'roles' for the main leads to play instead of the coaxer and the coaxed.
  • I think it's fine that the characters are immortal/have long lives or whatever so their romantic entanglements can get messy age-wise, but yoooo ya gotta set boundaries. I think there are a couple of worlds where the ML or FL see the other one grow up. We as readers know they're both thousands of years old, but it's the morality of it lmao. That's why Arc 3 was probably one of my least faves. (Hey but once you get past that it's pretty good.)
    • I think this also splits into messy scenarios for the side characters. Like dang, not sure how I feel about someone falling in love with the daughter of the woman he used to chase and them ending up together lool. I know this can be popular in E Asian novels (also hello Jacob and Bella's daughter from Twilight??) but I be side-eyeing.
  • Guess I have to do the typical "watch out for pale skinny legend beauty standards" that is usually seen in Cnovels. It's not as overt as it could have been, but the connotation is there. The FL and ML's bodies always have to be heavenly beauties and annoying characters are ugly/fat (rip).
WORLDS

I'll just give a quick headline of all the arcs and some trigger warnings that readers might be careful to note (since lots of potentially uncomfortable things happen. I mean, , , the blurb does state that the ML is a pe*vert, and that's putting it lightly.) I'll also have notes on the romantic progression as well!

    • TW: gore/lots of bread (ML be drinking blood/eating raw flesh sheeesh), dubcon? (FL wanted to seduce ML but he ended up with the upper hand), forced abortion (made my jaw drop but this was so the baby didn't kill the FL), war, cannibalism (in a way since the ML is a snake demon), bestiality (since the ML's true form is a Teng/snake demon lmaO)
    • Human sacrifice turned into love
  • World 2: Obsessive Fierce Ghost x Kind-Hearted Classmate
    • TW: r*pe/dubcon (he was a ghost so the essence of it, I guess)
    • Childhood crush who turned into a ghost turned into lover
  • World 3: Black-Bellied CEO Daddy x Pure-Hearted Fake Daughter
    • TW: mention of r*pe of a minor and pregnancy from it (not main leads), grooming?? (ML took care of FL since babyhood but technically FL's an adult mental age), hint of in*est (they're not actually related). Basically what you would expect from a daddy/grooming kink.
    • Caretaker turned lover
  • World 4*: Rebirthed Tyrannical Emperor x Abandoned Betrayer Concubine
    • TW: not many triggers, but it's a palace harem and hidden identity arc
    • Hate to love
  • World 5: Notorious Underworld Boss x Pretty Boy Undercover Prisoner
    • TW: this one was pretty depraved, , , prison r*pe, lots of abuse/vioelnce/gore
    • Protector/bromance to romance. The FL really outshone in her male body in this one. The emotions were also super raw in such a depraved environment.
  • World 6*: Fierce Tribal Leader x Strong Independent Patriarch's Daughter
    • TW: cannibalism, gore/violence
    • Meet-cute romance that's pure fluff.
    • It was an interesting and open-minded take on indigenous cultures. Also the characters had darker skin tones than the usual Cnovel leads, which I appreciated.
  • World 7: Immortal State Leader x Rice Bucket Disciple
    • TW: violence/gore
    • Devotion at first sight to love
  • World 8:* Cold Film Emperor x Devoted Rising Star
    • TW: r*pe (not main leads and only mentioned)
    • Idolization to love
    • In this world, the ML has memories of his past life/world but wanted FL to fall in love with his current self - it was very touching
  • World 9*: Mutated Alien King x Face Paralysis General
    • TW: war/violence, honestly bordering bug alien smut (not me being prepped for it due to fanfic lmaoo) but it never went there)
    • Love found in the midst of an intergalactic mecha war. This one was so fun!!

    • TW: attempted r*pe, war/violence/blood, forced abortion
    • Gender bender with ancient Chinese role reversal. Women run the word, mpreg. Very fun to read as it's a harem drama with guys in the boudoir instead of women.
  • World 11: Resurrected Ancestor Zombie x Adopted Feng Shui Disciple
    • TW: blood/gore in the context of ghosts
    • Master/disciple romance among supernatural elements
  • World 12: Tsundere Women-Hating Warlord x Charming Fisherman's Daughter
    • Not many triggers in this one but it's a setting similar to the Republic of China so expect war and politics
    • Arranged marriage turned into love
  • World 13:* Skilled Sect Poisoner x Seductive Martial Arts Demoness
    • Not many triggers outside of violence, it's a cultivation sect world
    • Kidnapped sect disciple falls in love with a demoness
  • World 14: Loner Gambling Tycoon x Pure Innocent Mermaid
    • Mermaid becomes friend/family and then into lover
  • World 15: Multiple Personality Schizophrenic x Charming Hard-Working Fatty
    • TW: torture/violence/abuse of all kind, underaged s*x (by ML's abusive father in the world), fatphobia
    • Interesting take on Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and a possible treatment. The FL gets both ML personalities to fall in love with her. I also liked how they fell in love when she was fat; there's a fat-to-fit arc because of her health but the overarching message was more fat-friendly than I expected in a Cnovel. Can't speak on the mental illness rep but a lot of it was born from ML's past trauma and it doesn't dominate his general character.
  • World 16: Blind Demon Hunter x erot*c Painting Demon
    • TW: violence/gore, dubcon (not the main leads)
    • He tried to exorcise her at first but then they fell in love.
  • World 17*: Blackened OP Disciple x Cold Powerful Goddess
    • TW: violence/gore, a little colorist sentiment (ML starts off with dark/dirty skin and eventually becomes lighter as he removes his impurities. I don't think the rhetoric is skin-tone based but it may come off as such), bestiality (I meannn the ML has his true form in this world)
    • Role reversal where the FL is the master of the ML. This time, he has his memories but she doesn't (so she thinks she just reincarnated). This was a great arc! Lots of fun supporting characters/couples.
  • World 18: Gaming CEO x Dog Blood Writer
    • TW: small homophobic sentiments here and there (since the main leads are both guy characters in the game and people get jealous of them)
    • This arc is all about feeding dog food and getting merit points as quick as possible. The main leads are OP in their game and in real life.
  • World 19: Pure Blood Vampire x Half Blood Vampire Hunter
    • TW: action/violence/blood
    • This was one of the messier arcs and the romantic progression starts off with the ML saving the FL as a child and FL skipping 12 years (so like her body's on autopilot?). Plus vampire politics.
  • World 20: FL's OG world
    • Back to where it all began :D

TL;DR Read this if you're into:

  • Your typical yandere ML who's obsessed with the FL (and a FL who's just as obsessed with him)
  • Rather shallow plot but lots of great dog food and the main leads taking turns chasing each other in each world
  • Fun realms that have, for the most part, pretty multifaceted ogLeads (children of luck) who aren't too dog bloody/annoying
  • A fun (and unreliable) contracted beast that has pretty cute rapport with the FL
  • Happily ever after for everyone!
Side note: I think the author just finished up a follow-up of this series about the main couple's daughter! <<less

I love this story. The plot was so awesome. I finished reading all the chapters it's really good.I am curious and want to read the story of her daughter who also travels through different worlds.

Reread this many times, couldn't get enough of it. But fr I'll always avoid two arc that broke my heart to pieces every f*ckin time I read it. Yes, what else other than bxb arc and star x fan where FL died in their frickin wedding day.

Anyway this is top notch for quick transmigration and male yandere tag, idk why it's just fits and filled my thrist for yandere lmao and I'm so glad I'm not the only one who so into this and even don't fricking care if arc... more>> 3 is morally wrong af. Which mean I'm not the only one who's weird LOL.

This is one story I am eager to binge read when the translation is finished. To be honest, I didn't really enjoy the first arc so I was skeptical of continuing it BUT the following worlds and storylines are so juicy I instantly became a fan.

The first world really seemed like a "snu snu can fix everything" type of story and the romance at the start seemed shallow, because most of what they did was snu snu and the side characters just seemed to be problematic for the sake of being problematic with all sorts of unnecessary drama, even ending with a bad ending (personally, I have no issue with the ML doing the do as a snake but that is another thing that might put off people).

The following two arcs also did not have so much substance, although there is fluff and enough dog blood to keep you entertained BUT THEN! The quality jumped up! All the following arcs (that I've read so far) are worthy of praise. The villains are threatening, there is character development, believable relationship progression and in some parts I even had to pause my reading to digest what happened because of the suspense and fear of what will happen to the MC and ML.

The characters are clearly not OP, the amount of times the MC got hurt or almost died fighting (especially in the fifth world) really made me anxious that the story will end that way and the worst thing is, is that sometimes it did. I am so grateful for the relaxing primitive world that came after all those heavy hitters from worlds 3-5 because if you're reading the story, you'll need a break from all the doom and gloom. I consider the endings of each world to be a good ending if they end with the ML's evil value dropping to 0 because that is the ultimate goal of course, even if the MC and ML are not able to live out their lives happily together, so be prepared for tissues.

Some info on the fifth world. The MC turned into a guy and has to befriend the ML in prison to be a spy for the police (she never intended to follow that through though and just wanted to move to a different to escape the horrible fate of the original body). They become tight "brothers" but never crossed the line (so no snu snu) because a side character who was an undercover police (hate that dude, you do so many despicable things but still manage to get away scot free) was also tasked with sending info to the cops and as the MC usually has bad luck, the blame and suspicion fell onto her after the police almost captured them. So of course, she ends up dying in the hands of the gang the ML leads (although the ML tried to keep her hidden). In the end, the ML only found out she "loved" him at the funeral. Tbh, I decided to share this info because I thought this world was treated really unfairly, in all the other worlds, the MC and ML were able to "love" each other but in this world it's always kept a secret and given that it was kind of a BL storyline, it just left me feeling iffy.

The last point I want to make is on the translation work. The translations done by MadPanda and Novice Translations are what made me decide to give this story 5 stars. I am not verbose enough to explain how good these translations are. I can just say that the text is adapted in such a way that it seemed to have been originally written in English instead of just being translated from Chinese. All the feelings and floweryness? Have been perfectly replicated, which increased my enjoyment in reading. I hope more readers will pick this story up because the translators deserve to have a larger audience.

As what I have understood from the MC so far is that she's bored and lazy af. If she's able to let herself live a comfortable life without doing some actual work, then she'd do so. That's prolly why some of you find this 'shallow'. First she only came with the beast because she's bored and got nothing to do. Going to different planes and living different lives must have sound exciting, especially that she's already dead, so why not? For the first few worlds, if you found the MC... more>> dumb, then that's just her being lazy. Even the beast said so, as they went through worlds and found out that the MC could actually be so clever if she really uses her brain

For those who are looking for development, be it in romance or personality, it's because you haven't read far enough. And then some even went questioning why some of the reviewers said the MC is smart when they cannot see the MC being one blah blah lmao

My memories are so vague now (I really should've written a review when it was still fresh in my mind facepalm) Anyways, she managed to trick the beast into letting her see her egg baby from the first world by saying this and that. And also how she says that she's not affected by the worlds at all

but she's already realized that every person is the same and is even looking for a mole behind the ears of the target, because that's how she knows that it is the ML, if I recall correctly i think I've read too much quick transmigration stories and might have mixed it up And also after she found out, that's where she really began to be interested in these worlds and learned how to truly love the target in every world. Unlike in the first world, where it seems like she's only there for the sake of it and doesn't really care about what's going on around her. Which I think is really a great development

In the beginning it was a shaky start, like someone said it almost felt like the "evil points" just required her to sell herself. However, a lot of the latter arcs were very cute. I read so many chapters and so many arcs yet I still wish there were more, thus I'm voting 5 stars. Besides that, truthfully there's nothing super special, but entertainment value is quite high

Take the synopsis with a grain of salt. Her goal is to get rid of evil value, but from the start it was... more>> kinda expected she'd end up a romantic partner for most of the arcs lool.

I highly recommend this novel!!! There hasn't been a disappointing arc yet. Our female MC is hilarious, independent, generally a well thought out character. She has the ML pretty much wrapped around her finger but her personality doesn't depend on the ML. She also doesn't bend to him or his will.

Not every arc has a happy ending which brings much needed angst to the plot. In one arc she transmigrates as a male prisoner. The ML is a leader of an underground criminal organization. She dies in this one before the ML has a chance to express his love to her.

Thank you to both translators! The translations have been good so far, the grammar and text readable and enjoyable. I like the MC she's realistic enough but also cute enough that it makes for a good story. Also the context, with a evil blackened ML - not much you can do with that. There is a bit of a tragedy component to the stories, I did get slightly annoyed with the more pedo ML story - but that's on the author, and over all it is resolved fairly quickly (also... more>> the MC recognizes the issue and goes along with it). All in all - thank you translators and keep up the good work! <<less

becauce the MC has a regret for not seeing her son growing up... the ML who their son live in ancient time with his wife, child and granchild gave a chance for the MC to broght up their son from a cute little prince to a married man with his wife who is transmigator from modern world.... this is really cute....????

This novel is quite good actually. It reminds me of Three Lifetimes by Kerbasi or Seven unfortunate lifetimes.

If you love transmigrtion stories with interesting characters, you will surely love this.

The MC is quite charming with her antics to the ML (needs to change his evil value to 1)

I never write reviews but I felt like I had to for this one because it's one of my favorite webnovels and the one I always come back to. It's a shame some of the chapters have disappeared but I MTL'd to the end and it was worth it.

This novel isn't for everyone (there are taboo themes) but if you're a male yandere connoisseur, this is the novel for you. FL is smart, has high EQ and has her own sense of morals but isn't OP. The ML is OP... more>> and dotes on FL every step of the way to the point that he instinctively crosses worlds for her. While not as obvious, there are hints from the beginning that FL feels the same way.

The FL realizes pretty quickly that it's the same ML world-hopping with her. She recognizes some subtle tells (ML's mole behind his ear, aversion to carrots) but puts on a dumb front to fool Xiao Nan.

I mean, if it have good plot or good (in term of characteristic) FL and ml, I will not mind. But duhhh... it not.

FL is manipulativ (but sadly st*pid, I dont mind if she a bit smart) and ML is horrible (I dont mind with yandere, but he is r*pist but not redemn at all, not character development. At the least they should make his character better or regret when evil value gone, but (once again) he is NOT).

Every arc have generic plot,... more>> but author add kinky that I dont know why disgusting (i dont really mind with kinky, but this one is uncomfortable).

Well, "Strategy to Capture That Scum Gong" at the least have smart MC and many good arc that can shake my emotion, but this just soooo stu---- okay, I will stop.

I stop in arc 5 (skip arc 4).

Still, I dont understand why people call FL is smart (I think we just have different taste). If you look smart fl, read "Sinister Ex-girlfriend" and even ML is yandere it good one. <<less

I'm waiting for the update. Seriously I'm loving the novel so far. The cutest when FL is in the forest and the ML is the pe*verted savage man 😂😂.. Tho it is funny it makes me cry too. Really recommend this novel

This was honestly the most surprising, adventurous, fun, comedic, amusing, satisfying novel I have ever read. The male lead though yes is overbearing, possessive, and all that, it's surprisingly balanced. I was not sick of him, more did I get bored since the MC and the mythical beast were also interesting characters. So, now, I'm quite excited to see what happens after the MC finds out that ML is the same Villain in all those words (No this is not a spoiler since it was stated in the novel's description/about... more>> portion) <<less

This novel is very entertaining and funny. I like the MC... she’s lazy, funny but also strong-willed. The ML is a little crazy but totally devoted to MC in every world. I enjoy all the fluffy moments between them. Also, her system is hilarious and they have great interactions with each other. Can’t wait to finish this novel. Please continue to translate to the end! I'm 200+ chapters in and this is the only novel where I would always look forward to the next chapters and arcs. The length and pacing is perfect, and it just has the right mix of drama, fluff, comedy and adventure.

I truly enjoyed the relationship between the FL & ML in every world - it took the word 'pancakes' right to a whole new different level! The banter between Nan Xun and Little Eight were precious too, it made me laugh out loud ?

Example: in a chapter where they introduce the child of fate, knowing the development between the child of fate and the villain... it seems intuitive to suspect that your ML is supernatural.

Another thing they seem to be selling is that she's inherently indifferent, which I can't really feel through the writing/translation. There are 1001 ways to take on these tasks that are more in line with indifference.

To those that have read stories/QT regarding transmigration into first-person novels: this seems to follow that potential analysis. This novel is also a first-person perspective novel, from Nan Xun's perspective. Most novels follow some bias, first-person novels are prone to self-perception biases. In this case, we are "told" how great she is... This feels like self-perception. <<less
