On the surface, she’s a gay high school boy. Underneath, she’s the hacker known as Z, who hunts criminals on the internet. A girl dressed in men’s clothes; a master at playing games, punishing evil, and having the highest skill in seducing girls. When people learned that “he” was actually female, the entire population blew up!

Fu Jiu: “Great Deity Qin, do you have a girlfriend?”

Qin Mo puts down the laptop: “I don’t have one.”

Fu Jiu starts to seduce in a low voice: “In that case, you have one starting now. Me.”

Hearing this, Qin Mo leans over tyrannically.

Fu Jiu is dumbstruck: “Hold on! What are you doing?”

Qin Mo: “Using my privilege as a boyfriend.”

I'm a sucker for op characters so I don't really mind our MC being op, the whole story is actually pretty nice. Things seem to move slowly but surely and scenes seem to be put together well. ML can appear over-bearing but it's more endearing that anything. There is some push and pull between them, but romance is mostly fluff.

Only thing I didn't like about this was the amnesia arc. It's my personal taste but amnesia arcs don't really sit well with me. The way ML starts treating MC like a disposable chess piece just wasn't it. He was acting like a high-level psychopath, extremely manipulative and indifferent.

What pissed me off even more was the fact that the MC was not doing anything, it looked like she was willingly allowing him to play her like a toy. I dislike neglect play a lot and just the thought of having my lover forget about me and having him treat me as something to manipulate puts me off so dang much. I get what the author was going for with the "even if he forgot he still shows kindness to MC" but it didn't work and it only looked like a man grooming/manipulating someone he knew had strong feelings towards him

[collapse]

I would've given this five stars if the author had managed to write this arc better. Overall it was a good read, I couldn't put it down and I stayed up until 3am to read it. It's highly addicting and I would recommend it if you have patience to read through the whole amnesia arc without getting angry at ML. <<less

Best gender blender!Has a little spice of sugar and vinegar ^_^. The story is so fun to read especially when ML tries to bend the MC. No dull moments. Can read for the nth time and never gets bored. I wish I can read Chinese so that I can enjoy it more. ^_^V

I will give this full rate, the story is quite funny a little bit dark, and the ML is quite possessive, it is really funny how their love will developed, this is not your usual kind of transmigration story you ever read, trust me it is different and interesting

5/5 An indulgent, occasionally nonsensical yet engaging novel of a hacker-spy-esports gamer girl cross dressing as a guy who likes ML, a cold, military-esports-wealthy-boss man. As you can tell, the author combines multiple types of plots and troupes into the main characters, and made them unnaturally OP. Not only that, the author constantly tries to portray the ugly side of fandoms and fans and making it into a big fanfare. Her idea isn't bad, but the execution just felt a little childish despite the heaviness of the topic. Author also... more>> has occasionally inconsistency which is understandable considering the length of the novel.

Despite all these, I actually enjoyed it greatly. As long as you can deal with / ignore the whimsical style of jumping from esports to detective-hacker plot and then suddenly back to pride and competition, there's not much issue and would be an interesting ride. Both MC and ML are shameless both before and after they got into their relationship, which was quite funny at times.

Side characters mostly had their own story/relationship as well, which was a little comforting.

Lastly, the ending was actually one of the nicest part for me as a good round up to the little sad loose end, although adding that extra troupe wasn't quite necessary (although I expected it). Note: This novel is very very long. I took 2 weeks of almost non-stop reading to finish this. <<less

I started reading the novel because I enjoyed the comic version and wanted to know what happens next. Glaring flaws were found.

    • Things were entertaining at first, but as the series go on you start to realize how much of a Mary Sue and Gary Stu both the MC and the male lead are. Their characters feel one dimensional and unrealistic - they have little to no flaw, and even if they DO have what you consider a 'flaw', the novel fails to portray it as such. Example: Qin Mo's controlling & forceful tendencies (that for some reason, MC happily condones).
    • The author's EXCESSIVE description of the main characters' beauties. You can't go through a chapter without seeing a line like "His silver hair and exceptionally gorgeous face took their breaths away" - lines that usually take up 1/3 of the chapter. For f*ck's sake, people are more than their looks. Emotional depth who? Nah, let's constantly talk about how perfect looking they are instead.
    • The characters, including the "villains", feel very cardboard-ish and 2D. You will see a lot of despicable, an-a**hole-for-no-reason characters in the novel, created only to amplify the greatness & heroism of the MC and male lead. Shit-talking characters who have ZERO filter and zero social etiquette. People don't act like that in real life. It's bad writing at its finest.
    • Things ALWAYS GO ACCORDING TO THE MC'S PLAN. No mistakes, no f*ck ups, only success and looking cool to 0Wn tHe bAd gUyS. You can portray powerful characters while making them still look human. This novel doesn't do it. The entire thing feels very much like wish fulfillment.
    • The author's lack of research on how hacking actually works. 'Nuff said.
Another thing that annoyed the crap out of me was when the team went to Tokyo and the author practically made every character in Japan racist/discriminative towards Chinese people just so the main characters can figuratively kick their asses and prove them wrong. Like, what?

I’ve never been as addicted to a novel as I’ve been with this one. I love the whole esports universe. I love this power couple. It’s refreshing to see a FL that is not a damsel in distress waiting to be rescued. The author did a good job mixing different genres. The police/psychological elements add more punch to the read.

I love this novel so much that I’ve reread some parts twice and also read the manhua 🙈🙈 I’ve been slowing down my reading as I don’t want this novel to... more>> end. I’ve grown attached to our couple.

I’ve only skipped the amnesia arc as it was to heartbreaking for my poor heart.

After I finish this I will read the sequel so I can stay with this universe longer. <<less

what I like about this novel is the mood. The ML is a brooding hero who hovers about MC like a malignant spirit. He is jealous, possessive and one of those if-I-can't-have-you-no-one-else-can insane characters we usually disdain about in movies.

but he's written here as bewilderingly confused. He's obviously straight as a ruler yet he doesn't get why his Johnny can't seem to stop stiffening in attention every time he encounters, gets near, or gets a whiff of our gender bender MC. The fun of reading about ML is his finally... more>> blurting out to his best friend his annoyance, confusion, and irresistible attraction to MC by telling his friend, through gritted teeth, that he wants MC. Wants him so bad he could die because of it.

the dam breaks and from that moment on, the irresistible force that is our MC meets the unmovable blockhead that is our ML.

this is one dance that I find funny and amusing as a reader. Love ML. He's described as like a priest with a pure heart and everything. Try telling that to his c*ck which leads him around like a dog without a leash. When he finally gets his way and eats MC, it wasn't enough. The cake is soft and sweet but he can't leave it alone and wants more. He's even hoarding it, unwilling to even let air get a sniff of it.

this is a very funny story about a guy who's even willing to go full BL just because. <<less

The thing I can't get past the most is the ML. While semi-cold MLs can be okay, it's not very realistic when someone's always cold and make the room drop in temperature.

Also, as both a programmer and gamer, I feel like the author never touched any electronics before... There's just no common sense.

The one good thing is the MC, she's funny and shameless and it's a good distraction from the rest. Eh. Not for me.

I like reading this bec. It has plenty of tropes I like that it easily became a guilty pleasure type of webnovel. The part where MC hides her true gender to everyone including the ML and where the ML starts to get attracted to MC despite not knowing she's a girl, I find it exciting. Also, I find MC's narcissism funny. She prides herself to be very handsome and very talented. I'd take that any time of the day (secretly insecure-pretending-tobe-strong-girls annoys me a lot so I love this opposite... more>> characterization of the MC).

The only peeve I had is the author's description of the two main characters like their appearance is godsent or something. Like taking time to describe handsome ML while standing and taking a smoke is soo cringy. Other than that, I'm pretty much entertained on the different arcs. My favourite is the BL side couple. <<less

The writer has to be a man that wanted to write about a powerful woman... who is beautiful, great at hacking, fighting, acting, gaming, and every else, and we're reminded every chapter. He wanted to include EVERYTHING: the famous overbearing CEO, apparently is also very important that the ML has to be over possessive, supernatural elements, Hollywood, technology, social media, e-sports, romance?, social criticism, racism, love from one's nation, ultra powerful criminal organisation, bit of sexy stuff and..

I confess that half of the time I was thinking: "how ridiculous", but I just simply couldn't put it down. And somethings even amazed me.

And if someone could enlighten me, why was ML so infuriated about the fact that she wanted to take the pill when they're doing it all the time? He took it as a sign that she didn't care for him. Did I misunderstand this?

I honestly will read anything entertaining, so if your standards are higher, this might really not be for you. It's loooong and full of fillers but I still really liked most characters. I feel like I want to mock it but I the same time I loved it. <<less

One of the best novels on this website I'd say purely because it combines all of my favourite elements very well. Badass female protagonist, good romance progress, not a totally bullsh*t OP ML (though some people might disagree with me haha), reincarnation backstory is explained fairly well genderbend element is done verrry well and I love the plotline. There's a lot of arcs and content jammed into this story.

Again, the execution of the elements I feel is done very well. There are some parts to this that the author definitely... more>> doesn't know enough about to be writing about
Spoiler

(e.g: hacking! most of it is realistically impossible, and the author bypasses this by simply calling the MC 'god-like' hahaha.)

[collapse]
that some people in the other reviews have pointed out but I feel like it's still forgiveable. It's an entertaining read. Don't expect to use your brain.

But it's warm, funny and makes you absolutely snottily sob and wail into your blanket at night and isn't that why we read? Just to enjoy ourselves?

Oh, by the way, you can directly google search and find the fully translated version of this online, you don't have to rely on these links. The translations pretty good too.

Personally favourite part of this story that made me sob relentlessly but it's why I love it so so much. Major spoilers lol, I go pretty in depth about it. Genuinely... don't read this if you want the full experience of the story. I'm just venting and recording.

Spoiler

The explanation and realisation of the readers that MC and ML in her previous life knew each other. So, for context, the MC has reincarnated into the body of a teenager who is hiding her gender. The ML did not die. It's revealed that in the MC's past childhood, she knew the ML and that they pretty much knew each other. He and her loved her in the pure way children do. The love that isn't necessarily romantic but the love that makes them know that they'll always be together. However, something happened with the MC's past life's family and she moved.

The ML looked her for YEARS, until his adulthood. He even prays at a temple for her and keeps the wish for her to be safe around his neck always. So now both the ML and the MC (still in her previous life) have grown up and don't know where each other now. The MC is a renowned criminal and the ML is tasked with finding her. He realises that the MC is his childhood love and like... enjoys the game of trying to find her even more. The MC doesn't realise that he is her childhood lover (?).

And now the sad bit... the MC dies and the ML gets amnesia. I also don't really remember if he sees her die or not. Either way the ML has selective amnesia and forgets all memories related to her and their childhood... which is... absolutely devastating as the readers now understand how long he's been looking for her. I think the amnesia might be trauma from seeing her die and not being able to save her as she drowns after an explosion. Luckily she is reborn and the main story happens. BUT THE BACKSTORY OF THEIR PAST LIVES AND HOW HE FORGOT AND HAD LOOKED FOR HER SO LONG AND EVEN WHEN HE FORGOT HE CONTINUED TO KEEP THE WISH AROUND HIS NECK.. I WAS SOBBING.

Let me tell you, when it comes to romance, you can feel that the ML and FL are made up for each other. They suited each other's personality.

Yes, ML has the typical bad sides like being manipulative and such. But let's admit it, FL is the only one who can handle him and the same applies for ML.

FL is tricky and pretentious. Don't fall to her trap. And in that way, she's manipulative as well. *Shakes head*

FL is also such an abnormal person to understand (with all honesty) and ML... more>> is the only one who CAN (aside from another family member I suppose).

Spoiler

Even Hoshino can't make FL feel alive. (But really, Hoshino is my favorite character aside from the main couple) And I'm curious as hell how Hoshino and the FL as a couple will turn out.

It turned out that my only hope is to see the lovely couple of captain×vice captain. But again, my expectation betrayed me. There's no reveal on how Hoshino and his captain will get along in their love life. *Sigh*

[collapse]

Let's return to our main topic. ML and FL.

You might find either of them unreasonable 'cause they are 'strangers' who has deep secrets to hide. But honestly, as you keep reading, it will be justified. And maybe you might find yourself addicted to this couple.

Aside from romance, action scenes

crime operations and arresting large organizations came with plenty of plot twists

I have been following this for a couple of years and this is one of the novels where I was check on updates daily because I loved it. Its got everything you could want and more, very well written and unique.

At first I was only reading waiting for a big reveal then I discover another secret and have to wait for another big reveal and then there's another one. Its that feeling of a plot that you thought you knew but then another layer is revealed and you're like how... more>> can this get deeper >W<.

FL has an amazing personality and identity that's lead to many funny and interesting situations and its fun reading the ML slowly uncover each part one by one but also many misunderstanding lol.

ML is classic but something I always love - eats a lot of vinegar, possessive, powerful and all those things but its cute :) and the fluffiness (of ML/FL interactions) is healing and balances the plot when it gets heavier.

I also love the police/criminal genre/part of the novel and the authors use of ethic/morals of light and dark and the human personality makes the novel more intriguing.

This is a novel that has made and impact and is something I won't forget because for me its is just the right combination <<less

I like the plot and genderbend and romance, the inconsistencies w logic were easily ignorable for me.

But the reason I dropped this is because the authors writing style got too nationalist for me and her portrayal of american culture made me nope out.

Also, she portrayed the majority of people as entirely unsalvageable and unreasonable and selfish. Its just not how I view the world, I prefer yu wo's worldview.
i gte there are spoiled children out there but thats not the majority like this novel portrays.

The criminal actions being able to brainwash people into having no morals also seems iffy to me.
Spoiler

one of the female villains Was able to convert her uni classmates to completely abandoning their morals and that couldnt have been more than a few months at most. I dont thinkt that's plausible (even htough her brother is a hypnotist she isnt one and even then they shouldnt be willing to commit crimes via accomplices)

and, how could she be so bad at kidnapping that

when she tried to kidnap Qin Mo and everything went off without Ahitch she didnt see anything Wrong?! Shes been a hacker for years an years and has such logical reasoning abilities (on criminal cases) yet she hasn't figured out that qin mo has really good personal bodyguards and couldn tpossibly be kidnapped so easily?! Where are her instincts and logical reasoning? If not her a least her butler right? Who has been with the hacker family for so long?

the hwole concept of a hacker aristocracy is iffy to me, a group of hackers.. Ok maybe, but a hacker aristocracy in which all other hackers follow the young master? Thats just implausible.

This novel despite its length was quite easy to read as it never really got boring since so many tropes and themes were added. You would think that the only thing supernatural about this story would be the transmigration into another body that the FL experiences in the beginning since nothing really supernatural happens after that, but then BAM, nope, you were wrong! The ending was a quite unexpected open one even if it ended on a rather positive and hopeful note. Either way, I didn't feel unsatisfied.

There were many... more>> likeable characters and among them a surprising amount of gay side characters. Like... usually you find only one gay side character at best in Chinese shoujo/jousei novels. It might be fan service for the rotten women and men among us. It was refreshing.

Many of the side characters also got a lot of screentime and their story being told like there were several branch stories revolving around different couples running parallel to the main plot.

Both the FL and ML were pretty much op and so was the ml's cat. Princess, the (male) cat, is one of my highlights in the story. He is so tsundere it's adorable.

As for the villains of the story... The biggest villain who was supposed to be super intelligent, cunning and op found a imo pretty anti-climatic end. Like dude had the ending of a loser small time villain instead of a grandiose big villain. The villainess who worked for him had a more fitting end for her role in comparison. But that's just my opinion.

All in all, this novel was an entertaining experience. You shouldn't expect realism, though. <<less

So, this novel pretty good overall, but the ML's controlling attitude towards the MC is extremely annoying. It's gets to the point where the ML doesn't even like seeing the MC talking or even sitting next to anyone that is not him. HE basically uses his money/power to make things go his way. He also acted pretty horrible towards the MC during the beginning of the story.

Spoiler

One example is when ML treats the MC to dinner at a restaurant the ML owns. First, he forces the MC to eat 10 extremely expensive lobsters, and then after being reminded that the MC is poor and his mom's company is close to shutting down, he forces the MC to pay for the dinner (AT THE ML'S RESTAURANT) to test him and puts him in debt.

[collapse]

But other than that, the story's pretty good. I'm not sure if I'm gonna continue it bc I can't stand the ML anymore. I do like the MC tho, she stands up for what she believes and is pretty badass. <<less

I'm not telling!

.

.

.

.

.

Fine... it's part comedy and mainly about an OP MC who's kinda arrogant but has means to prove that she has every right to be so. The ML is kinda unreasonable and hard to figure out because he's unpredictable. And as always, he's the child aloof CEO type who somehow falls in love with this "boy". The main characters seen a bit too spoiled and too powerful and dominant, so I won't say that I like them wholly. The face slapping is kinda not satisfying either since the antagonists are really s*upid.

But this is just my opinion, so those that like characters with their supreme lucky plot armors might like this.

In a nutshell:

Fu Jiu decided to join e-sports, and the whole annoying family stuff goes on (and of course the MC wins). Her teammates are a guy (acts strongly in the game but is actually very shy in reality lol), and her classmate, a girl (she is apparently ugly) and Qin Mo. This is when she becomes famous and that stuff.

Basically, after those events, they are basically playing e-sports, making people shocked with Fu Jiu's hand speed and exaggerating how good she is at playing the assassin. There is a slight romance going on, this makes people think she is gay. Also, she uses her hacker skills to do stuff, and of course Qin Mo is still trying to find Z so yeah... This e-sport and cat/mouse game goes on for who knows how long chapters.

In between that pile of who knows how long chapters, they had an e-sports competition and their team met with another team. In that rival team, there was this guy called Hoshino (or at least what google translate-san calls him) and he is Z's old friend or something. Relationship still unknown, but probably partners in hacking. Oh, also there was this time Fu Jiu dressed up as a girl (for some kind of party) and I think kissed Qin Mo.

After a while, their relationship gets serious... Fu Jiu got umm... (//∇//) and basically, Qin Mo kept telling her to take responsibility lol. (also there was this time somewhere, in the beginning, she got her period and stained the bed, but Qin Mo never noticed)

It was revealed that the original Fu Jiu met Qin Mo in their childhood (Qin Mo had an accident and forgot his memories) and she kept calling him her dog lmao. Anyways, Qin Mo eventually got suspicious of her after he managed to get the black mask off Z's face (didn't see the actual face tho), but he saw her wet hair (Z's hair was dyed black).

After some chapters she finally told him about the body changing thing, and her identity and kidnapped him to Z's castle. She legit tied him up with a chain. Qin Mo at this time still thinks her childhood friend is Hoshino not him. During this time, Fu Jiu/Z gets his hand fixed with the help of her butler. He later uses her black Lamborgini (voice password is I love Qin Mo) and drove away from the castle and back, to find everything gone with police cars.

Fu Jiu's identity (about being a girl) is then told to the public, and her teammates have no way to contact her. Later on Hoshino asks her if she wants to go back, but Fu Jiu now Z replied she can't (Romeo and Juliet thing going on here). Now this is where I got up to. Another 1, 000 chapters left to read ;)
