By the time he’s finished his mission, he’s abused those scumbags until they’re questioning their lives, and they prefer death to living on.

Hm. Yeah.

Disclaimer: I haven't really 'completed' completed the novel, but I've read a large portion of it, and have skimmed/skipped through the chapters enough to know what the whole novel generally encompasses.

That aside, there's not much else to say. This novel is honestly... kinda shit, in comparison to the other good ones out there (i.e. Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil, Don't Pick-up Boyfriends from the tr*shbin). The MC's 'personality' as it goes, doesn't change whatsoever throughout. From chapter 1 to chapter 169 onwards, his setting remains 'poor, innocent,... more>> dumb-as-f*ck, IQ deficient and naive. There are slight differences here and there, but the content is pretty much identical. Each arc is a rehash of the MC getting deceived as well as crying oceans of tears. He does nothing else. The characters the MC portrays every single arc are just so f*cking s*upid... it's tiring to read. If they're not crying, then they're being taken advantage of. That's all that happens up until the MC 'dies' and makes the scums regret. And that gets old quick, too.

Well, it's pretty much as the summary states. Not one factor more, not one factor less. The first few arcs are entertaining enough, but it gets boring really fast. It honestly eludes me how the author was able to write nearly 300 chapters of repetitive garbage, and gain absolutely nothing by the end of it. And due to this repetitive nature of the 'MC' walking into the fire, it's hard and cringe to get through.

Content aside, there's the 'content' content, i.e. the 'plots'. For this, there is a very simple description that can be summed up in 3 words: unrealistic, unrealistic, and unrealistic. This book pretty much lands in the books for brain-dead reading. Despite being in modern times, the concepts are wholly unrealistic. Sure, Quick Transmigration novels being as they are, are often unrealistic here and there, but this one pretty much ranks high up on the bullsh*t spectrum. It's hard to take the story seriously in any way, shape or form. I want to get immersed in the plot, but every other sentence has me going "OH, REALLY NOW??"

Some of the character dialogue with characters OTHER than the MC jump through so many logic-void-loops that I'm left for a spin. We also never get the real rundown on the 'original' plot, and how the 'original' victims had acted. We only get the MC's version. That would've been much appreciated.

And the ML... the MC never even gets to interact with the true ML because of OOC restrictions and plot restrictions and honestly just the author's restrictions overall. Like, there's mentions of an ML, but we never get to see romance 'bloom' per se. The ML is always just there, and nothing substantial ever happens wth him. If anything, he gets abused just as much as the scum MLs. Literally, what was the point of even including him? There's never 'true' interaction between the MC and the ML, like in QWTFOD.

Anyways, do I recommend it? Oh hell no. But is this a half-assed book to read when you have absolutely nothing left to read and are just looking to kill time by reading fancy garbage? Uh... still not really. Honestly, just don't. It's not worth the time spent. <<less

This isn't a novel for everyone as a lot of people will get quickly tired of the repeat of the same patters in every arc.

But that's what this novel is about.

And I think it's great because I can cry to my heart's content with the sad pats without feeling my heart really hurt like with other novels, since I know this is all part of the mc's plan and manipulation and he will just be back again in the next world.

... more>> Plus the ones he makes suffer diffinitely deserve it.

If you don't like repetitive stuff this isn't the novel for you.

If you like gong abuse and face slapping, plus dog dramas, 'innocent' white lotus shou (tho he's really not but he pretends to be) and dramas, then this is for you like it is for me. <<less

Unsuspectedly, I have discovered yet another angsty abusive gem into my collection. Well, who made me a sucker for such a plot?.. Anyway, here some disadvantages.

Very. I mean it, VERY repeatative arcs. Most of them take place in modern settings with either some rich CEO white lotus or entirely poor bullied white lotus, and it is getting boring quite quickly. I was sooo excited about the mermaid plot - simply because it was a change of setting. I guess it is the only real minus for me, others sure can... more>> be neglected.

No reaction from MC side whatsoever. I know many people dislike system-host interaction, so do I, but still - readers expect to hear at least some thoughts about the current situation. The best example would be my precious "strategy to capture scum gong".

What I really enjoy is the vacation arcs - such a refreshing thing- I firmly believe they should be added in every angst novel out there!

The overall impression was pretty good, will recommend it for ppl who are having fun in torturing themselves in all that abusive abyss. <<less

I smelt a gong abuse QT story (my fav hehe) and so I’m here! Only the first chapter and seems pretty good translation wise. It’s pretty clear the first arc is the typical bullied poor nerd shou who gets asked out by scum gong as a dare... Can’t wait to see gong cry ahahaha. anyway let’s see how the rest of the arc is~~

I'm a bit confused with this novel. Obviously, it's about selling meng and pity in the worlds the MC is in, but what's the goal? What's the difference from the original story of that world?

I find this novel quite aimless since there's no change from what the original body he lived in has experienced, so what's the point of him reliving them?

There's no revenge, no wish to be granted for the original body, no system malfunction, no set goal. Just a percentage of favor he must reach at the end... more>> of the story.

It felt like this novel shouldn't have been a world-hopping / transmigration story. Each worlds are quite painful on its own, but when you put transmigration theme as the cherry on top, it suddenly becomes confusing because well, what's the goal of collecting points? You weren't even told about the MC's backstory.

I'm not confident that I can finish reading 200 repetitive chapters about a mediocre pity-selling salesman. I also find the repetitive but unimaginative description of the MC's 'beautiful collarbone and small adam's apple' annoying lol. Yes yes I know the MC's collarbone is too beautiful it makes the ML's throat so parched, the author doesn't have to remind me Every. Single. Chapter.

Dropped. <<less

The beginning arcs are so dog blood (as they say) I started skipping chapters then going back when I knew I wouldn't get abused too much. There's some hot kinky situations here which will spark your spicy imagination.

The only thing I love in this novel is the vacation chapters. The other chapters are so abusive and always making me cry. The other stories are good but giving me a heartache. out of 10, 2 are happy ending and 8 are sad ending huhuhu... the author is so cruel!

It’s ok? Like some people complain about the constant repetition but it’s exactly what the synopsis says it is. A kind of ‘turn your brain off and cry’ type story.

Spoiler

in the first arc there’s a Zhang Xu who’s a terrible person but a strangely good friend to the scum gong. He hates gay people, but he’s extremely accepting when the scum gong comes out to him. This is the kind of friendship I like to see. Despite having a disgusting outlook, he nonetheless stays by his friend even when he’s the kind of person he hates the most. Not anything substantial, but I wanted to mention it.

It was a fun read with a mix of fluffy and angsty chapters. My favorite part was that there was barely any host-system interaction. Each world you actually felt like the MC was living through it instead of playacting.

The type of book that people would either LOVE TO THE FULLEST OR HATE TO THEIR BONES.

This novel doesn't deserve the low ratings.

In my case, I LOVE THIS SO MUCH because it's within my preference.
    • MLs that are scums through and through. They really do things that would make you vomit and hate them to the core. Exactly why I love the scum abuse later in the story.
    • MC that doesn't go OOC but still able to make the psychos fall for him and in the most PAINFUL and SATISFYING way.
    • This novel made me question myself whether I am a masochist or a sad*st because I really enjoy how the MLs hurt the MC emotionally or physically, because I knew the more they hurt the MC, the more they'll regret it later and the more they'll suffer.
    • Wife chasing crematorium+scum abuse+ MC that doesn't fall in love
    • There's ALSO MY FAV BLACK ROOM PLAY/imprisonment play so that's a plus for me.
Similar with Strategy to capture that Scum gong and Scum shou survival guide. But,

I actually, prefer this one more? All three novels are really good but maybe I'm more satisfied with the outcome in the arcs in this one.

It's very angsty and not for the faint of heart. This is really only for people who LIKES SHOU GETTING ABUSE BUT THERE'S MORE SATISFYING SCUM GONG ABUSE LATER ON SO IT'S WORTH IT!

It's pretty much gong abuse HAHAHA

If you like strategy to capture that scum gong and the like, then you'll love this one. I agree with one of the reviews, the MC basically did nothing but repeats what the original had gone through, except the scum gongs somehow fell harder, hence the abuse. This comes off as a bit cheap, but I'll take what I get.

The good thing is every once in a while, the system rewarded the MC with a "vacation world", where he can experience a good ending for... more>> once, before all the abuse starts again. I guess it's to keep MC's mental health from dwindling. Those worlds are soo fluff and sweet, it's so satisfying to read them after the tears I've cried.

Edit: Not all the arcs (may or may not exclude the vacation world, the raws doesn't specify if it's a vacation world or not so it's hard to tell) ended with BE. Some of them actually had a HE and those arcs are super cute.

Spoiler

1. The company manager ML X A clumsy and sloppy intern MC.

MC wanted to get back with his ex-gf who is now working at the same company. MC was sloppy at work and at risk of getting fired so he butters ML up just so he won't get fired (because he wants to keep wooing the ex-gf) but ML misunderstood, thinking MC had a crush on him HAHA.

2. A mysophobic/allergic ML x a cat who turned into human MC

This one's pretty cute if you ignored the "transcends species" genre. At least the MC turns into a human pretty early in the story. ML is allergic to everything, and MC is his niece's cat (who asked him to keep it while she's gone). ML despises MC in the beginning, but starts to adore him when he found out MC can cure his allergic reactions.
