She had a dream: the world was brimming with light. Family. School. Friends. Trains. Buses. Movies. Books. In that world of light, she grew into adulthood… and at the very end, in a white room, she fell into darkness. She awoke from the dream to find that she had become a demon. In the demon world, she lived a carefree life until she encountered a powerful being.

After such a long time spent living as a demon, before she knew it, spreading in her heart was a yearning for that world of light. She plunged herself into a summoning magic circle that had appeared. Then… when she opened her eyes once again, she had become a human baby.

She was in the Holy Kingdom. She felt fearful: while she was indeed a demon, she only had the strength of a baby. Her being a demon, if discovered, would be terrible. Was she a human or a demon? Would she be able to survive from here on out?

Although the story is a bit repetitive I don't think that that's a bad thing (tho volume 6 was a bit of a let down) I think it fits the story well but overall it's an amazing read especially the 1st volume was good in my opinion. ≪spoiler> (Now to all those hoping for a harem, sorry although there is a bit of romance it isn't the MC experiencing it)

The fluffiness that can be a healing at the start seems like a dream after a few more chapters. I know she's a demon (since she repeatedly say so herself) so I guess it's my fault that I didn't prepare my heart for the dark side.

And as the story continues, I wonder where the fluffiness go. It gets darker and darker ~

Also, I'm not sure about the others but I don't ship her with the kuro, a yandere or any other boy/man around her. They're all possessive deredere, to the... more>> point it's creepy. <<less

This novel is really good. It is a string of world/ideas woven into one, connected by one funny little girl. The ideas themselves are not original and actually the overused ones, BUT, what's good is how the author write the story. Although almost everything about it is similar to the other novels out there, but she/he managed to make us (me) hooked. The writing style is lighthearted and connected enough for you to immerse with the story (I don't know how to say it well). It gives us (me) enough... more>> space to imagine and I'd love to think that the story so far is made for a greater world (story). And, above all, the main character is just too lovable! Her s*upidity is cute and the contrast is just too much (don't want to spoil it in my review). Anyway, she's not like those annoying MC, at least in my mind.

This review is filled with too much personal opinion (if not all), not to mention with poor selection of words, but I just want to say something for this great work. <<less

This is likely the best novel on the site. Its is amazingly written, the stories fluff is adorable, and what action there is is also perfectly done. I honestly can't think of a bad thing about this novel, though I don't much care for the direction its beginning to go. But as it is, I reccomend it with a full five out of five!

If you look for a laid back story, with fluffy character, mix in among an an aceptable amount of gore, action, character outer look descripbe and can be enjoy at slow pace, this is the novel for you.

Using the same "Reincranated into another world", it's a fresh breath to take on if you bored of main OP protag that are male. Yet if you take a look on a 3rd person prespective, the MC is actuallly reasonable by her mixed, a little twisted personality between a modern, high moral high... more>> school girl and a fluffy, cute but yet life-threating Demonic being.
Bytheway, here are spoilers (watch as your own risk) :
- She ended up stop the human- Deamon war and meet High ranking Demonduke, and end up return Geass back-in-time in the very begining of his former life while nulldify the contract Geass made with Demonduke.
- After that, she finish her meal with her half-sibling sister and turn her almost emotionless.
- Later on, she clean up the meal with the Demonduke as dersert while being taught by the same guys she met in her dream.
- And finnally, by some flag triggered, she return to modern society (where she had been once). End of Book 1.
And book 2 would be... well, you can guest it yourself. <<less

I'm giving it a 4, but that's only for the 1st volume, which was fun and rather edgy, with quite a bit of plot development. The 2nd volume is terrible though, as the story devolves into an endless sequence of 6 year old princess tea parties interspersed with infrequent pseudo-horror scenes, as the MC can't decide if she wants to be ultra-popular or ultra-horrifying.

When you think about it though, her nonsensical, insipid, victim-playing, pointless and ultimately painful solitary life is horrifying, so it isn't surprising that she wants to lash... more>> out at the world she creates for herself. <<less

Reviewed at v2c8, rated 4.

Demon Girl is fluffy and entertaining. It has good beginning, but subsequent development sometimes a bit too fluffy that rather distracting from the main plot and the pace becomes slower. Read it if you want fluffiness and no heavy thinking, look for another if you want tumultuous plot or fast pace.

I'm so glad this series was picked up again and seen an increase of its readers. I posted on reddit about a month ago about this series, wanting someone to pick up the reins as the translator at the time seemed disinterested by the project. I'm unsure if App, the current translator, heard my cry for new chapters but I'm so happy that translating has continue nonetheless.

An OP reincarnated demon with human memories born to a high nobility in a deeply religious state. Is she the devil or a saint?... more>> I'm not really sure but I'm guessing something in between. Regardless of that, the amount of diabetes I'm getting from this series is higher than normal. Yuru is a very interesting character and I'm genuinely curious of what's going to happen next. <<less

I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone wanting to read something good. Seriously do yourself the favor and read it.

The MC is spectacularly awesome in so many ways. The misunderstandings, the floofiness and most importantly the demon!!! The story and writing is nice fleshed out for me. The pacing is of a moderate level and the world and it's concepts thought out. The characters are nice portrayed. The Change of POV is also refreshing and hilarious when taken into consideration of the the MC.

rarely does anything surprise me anymore in regards to entertainment be it written, manga, small screen or big screen. But as of ch9 I was honestly surprised and craving for more when Yuru Snapped her neck.

The author likes her misunderstandings, Good looking Oji-san types and of course cliff hangers, and she does them well. <<less

Eh. The MC is very uninteresting and the entire plot is just all over the place. The author decided to write a new novel midway and then when he was tired of that, brought the character back to the original premise. By that time the reader has forgot almost everything about the prior world so now it feels hard to read. Not to mention, the entire alien intergalactic thing is just, wow. In four words: This is a mess.

Volume 1:

Tentative rating: 3 stars

To be honest there's a lot I want to complain about, but at the end of the day I did still kinda enjoy reading it. I guess let's just get on with it.

The multiple POVs are pretty terrible, let me be honest. One alternate POV is fine, but when it gets to three people saying the same exact event, it's really tedious to read and it feels forced. It gets obvious what the authors wants to emphasize on, because they literally repeat it multiple times. I got tired of hearing about how the MC thinks everyone is afraid of her while they actually think she's cute like maybe after the 3rd time it happened.

It feels kinda frustrating to read. The first person POV feels like a mistake, because as the reader you know the things they don't and often times it makes it feel like they're just pretending to be oblivious. Meta-wise, I got became aware of the fact that the author is trying to portray a character who is oblivious, which ruins the immersion. Maybe it's just me but it's frustrating to see the MC describe word for word how the characters are reacting to her, since it's in first person POV, and still be oblivious about what they actually think of her. This pretty much extends to much of the story, you pretty much figure out what's happening within the first few lines but the author really takes their time in actually getting to the point of it.

I have a hard time grasping the intended personality of the MC. She doesn't feel like a realistic portrayal of her supposed character. You could say that it's intentional since she's not a human, but that's just an excuse for bad writing. You can make non-human characters realistic and engaging to read like in Sousou no Frieren. I feel like the MC is supposed to be manipulative, but they don't go all in on it. It feels like a disjointed combination of innocent and evil. One example of going about it is like letting the MC saying really red flag sh*t while not realizing that she's saying anything wrong. Instead, here the MC is well aware that it'd be bad if people knew the sort of things she thinks about, and for some reason tries to stop herself from doing that? It's like she knows some people can read her thoughts, or to be more blunt, it's like her inner thoughts are deliberately designed to be read by us, the readers. This is why it ruins the immersion for me.

The last bit of the volume felt a bit rushed, although to be honest I also didn't want it to last longer than it did so that works out fine. But still, the antagonists died so whimsically. A lot of the things so far has felt whimsical as well. The story is pretty much a wish fulfillment story in how it handles the conflict. I don't necessarily think wish fulfillment is bad, but it is bad when it gets pretty blatant.

I basically only had bad things to say about the novel, which I can't help since the negative remarks were easier to say than the good remarks. And even if I forced myself to say good things about it, I actually have a hard time doing it. That said, I still did end up finishing the volume so it's not like I didn't like it. I will be continuing to read the novel, more so out of curiosity on where the story goes rather than genuine interest of the plot. Out of good will, I will not publish my rating unless I've decided to drop it or I've genuinely come to like it.

I'm bored but the premise kept me reading. The protagonist is a bit manipulative and allows events to spiral out of control before taking action. If anything the series isn't harsh enough with its conflicts or violence because it turns into isekai wish fulfillment for someone who likes tasty souls and zero-risk drama.

This is fluffy and digestible wealthy girl wish-fulfillment with occasional hints of horror scenes something like Overlord. The main character looks like a frighteningly cute doll. After around ten chapters of being targeted and fawned over like a... more>> princess she takes charge of a situation. Rinse and repeat. To me this wasn't particularly dark or surprising, it was just a novelty for it to sharply jolt between bland nobility fantasy and bland violent fantasy.

Once in a while the narration is squicky but I saw no outright dealbreakers so far. I got what I wanted out of this story and it otherwise isn't for me. <<less

The story goes from wow to meh. The reboot arc was interesting at first but it turned downhill after that. It's kinda similar to how I read Stunning Edge. At first I was so interested with the story, but after nearing the end of the novel I couldn't stop asking myself "Is this still the same novel I'm reading?". The author should've just divided the arcs as standalone stories.

I ship the black leopard and MC though.

What happens when diabetes inducing cuteness and brutality was mixed together? This happens. You have our bundle of fluff and darkness Yurushia eating delicious cake made with despairing souls. The MC suprisingly has a set of morals (or standards on what souls she eats, she's a gourmet after all) and only eat the souls who have been dyed pitch black in sin and desire. I never knew that you can actually see a small teddy bear eating a man in half or the MC casually eating the soul of an... more>> antagonist as cute <<less

I stopped reading this a while ago, which I find unfortunate because it is a great light novel with light and dark themes that prevents you from getting complacent while reading.

My real problem, and a problem I have with a lot of light novels, is how difficult it is to read it is. There are times the perspective changer and leaves me confused, a lot of the time I don’t know who is who during conversations, topic changes and sentence structures that almost feel incoherent. The thing is, I know... more>> it isn’t incoherent. It’s just that there are times you have to put your self in a specific frame of mind when reading Japanese light novels in order to fully immerse yourself while reading. I used to be able to do that, then I got into Chinese novels, which are usually translated with proper English literary structure that makes it easy to understand and follow.

Like I said, great story and the number of stars I gave it reflects how highly I think of it. You expect it to go in one way then it changes or the tone is light and comedic then it turns dark. I hope to get back into it, especially now that the chapters released have advanced quite a bit <<less

This novel is narrated like the novel "Kenkyo, Kenjitsu o Motto ni Ikite Orimasu" and "Dragon Life" which makes it fun to read and easy to understand and by the looks of it, The Translators is also having fun translating it so Keep up the good work :).

For now ill give it a 4.0 as I'm still at the beginning but best regard to the translators :)

That's another OverCheated MC but actually this very story is fine. It doesn't feel boring or repetitive, mainly because the way the author writes the story is intriguing. Even if there are some clichés type events, MC's reactions are just not the same as every other reincarnation novels, MC is not an antagonist, but won't hesitate to kill if needed, it's a very refreshing story to read

Well then, I feel this one deserve a review.

The summary of this that I can imagine fully align with a comment on volume 2 chapter 3, "The main character is virtuous on the outside but quite savage herself in the inside."

She's the twist of demons and humans, well, yeah, she's a human but reincarnated to be a demon just to be summoned and possessed the body of a baby. The story is somewhat fluffy (with twist) that pretty perfect for filling free time with a light hearted story with some... more>> twist -- to be honest, this one pretty unique itself and I can't imagine another novel that take this kind of approach for reincarnated into non-human (especially demon). The fluffiness that I could feel almost at the level of Uchi Musume for sure. But the dark well established twist gave me some another unexplainable feeling that's somehow, absurdly, also increase my sugar level.

It just... my sugar level... too high.. damn, seriously, Age Progression + Female Protag, it means at some point the protag is a loli! kyaa! *faint <<less
