Elena, who spent her entire life as a cold-blooded female knight to avenge her family, ended up dying without claiming her revenge. When she opened her eyes she found that she went back into the past. By day she was a lady in a dress, and at night she carried a sword to change history and prevent her family’s destruction.

“I want to marry you, Your Highness,” she said to the crown prince. She would do this to save her family.

I read more than half.

This could be a 50-pages kind of story. I don't know exactly what it is that makes it longer, but every page is just 90% bla bla bla and 10% progression of the story. Its like watching a 30mins drama, with 20mins of advertis**ent and 5minutes of getting there to the main plot of the day and another 5 mins of the plot of the day.

For most of it, i'll skip and skip but still I can understand whats the plot of the day is.

Lucia, has... more>> the same concept, but that is more entertaining than this.

Read it when you don't have anything to finish reading. <<less

Seems like it will be a great novel. Great translation, great plot.

After her death, the main character is sent back in time. She wants to prevent her family from being killed and picks up a sword to do so. As of chapter 3, she is moving to act and there is a sense of urgency. In other words, the story isn't a Japanese novel clone; it is Korean after all.

The crown prince will probably become a love interest. It must be him in the cover illustration. As of chapter 3... more>> he hasn't been introduced yet so I can't say much about him.

This translator puts tiny pictures of characters next to their dialogue. This particular novel also has several color illustrations so far. To me this was a great bonus which helped bring the characters to life. <<less

The main character has been portrayed as such an innocent woman. The story is truly boring. She doesn't work for anything. Want information? Call Kuhn. Want access to dresses? Call the prince. It's very predictable and I don't understand the reason people have been praising it. Please go and read novels like The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress, the MC in it doesn't boast about her skills but she is very clever as well as well-versed in what she learnt in her past life.

Also the FL here expects no one... more>> to question her character when she roams around at night with a strange man or when she wears s*upid dresses, just relying on her beauty to pave a path in every situation. I truly liked Helen more than the MC. The MC in this story is a true example of white lotus. <<less

I was hooked by the first chapter as it was really well-written. The beginning of this novel was great, but after the MC saves the ML, it's like her resolve for revenge just evaporates into nothing. I was disappointed because MC was written as the strongest female knight but after her rebirth, the decisiveness and ambition a knight usually hones from a lifetime of fighting, is non-existent. The pacing of the story is so slow and the relationship development between characters is meh. I got bored after the recycled face-slapping... more>> scenarios, so I dropped this. <<less

I rate so low due unreadable for myself. I dislike that translate (unless that follow original raw) actually include picture icon on every speak/communicate. It's too disturbing for me to able to read paragraphs between speak lines. It feels like a phone or cheap otome game that 2d vibe.

Maybe the story isn't bad but I just....... cant read pass see all every have picture icon with speak sentence (even unknown or just person with gray icon) then paragraph but too many communicate than describe so it becomes weird picture... more>> with a story but, not a picture book.

I have to amazing for who the reader able to read and love it.

for story opening to a few chapters, I did find some interest but again there something huge miss when reading a story. so I give 2 stars instead of 1 star for not bad opening and understand where the story will forward but not plot. Just that warrior lady come back past and want to save family so she made a quick action. <<less

It was actually 2 stars, but I don't know how to change it. And that stars are for the good job of the translator. For doing this, thank you for your time.

If I'm honest, I expected more from this. So much more. We have a female warrior that was the best before she died, she claimed that she was a mercenary that was accustomed to not have any kind of mercy.

Well, it's not. I didn't last enough to end the novel, but I just couldn't continue.

For me, she was s*upid.... more>> Incredibly s*upid. She made decision after decision that came to bite her *ss. She claimed she wanted to be independent and that's good, but that all goes down the drain when almost every time the ML has to come to save the situation.

What put me off this novel was how she acted. She didn't act like a mercenary, she didn't act like the intelligent person all people claim her to be.

I'm done. <<less

I will probably never get back to reading this.
The concept is interesting but the execution is just... so bad. So many chapters I rolled my eyes because they put the emphasis on the FL looking so beautiful, and the male lead and her looking so goood together. So many chapters of frustration because the FL refuses to stand up to her father, or call the ML out for his weird ass behaviour. (Giving her expensive gifts she is uncomfortable with, or getting really jealous and possessive over the most... more>> basic interactions with other guys...)

It is disappointing. This is just another shitty European noble setting, with the background that she is a knight, sometimes. (Rarely, at the point I stopped.)

Writing this all out... I really have nothing positive to say about this novel. <<less

The story started out as really interesting but the writing style and the conversations don't really flow. Usually when I'm reading novels or books, they pull me in, making me feel the emotions of the characters, be it sadness, happiness or desire. This novel does not do so, as the emotions portrayed by the female characters and the others were as shallow as a small puddle, there were too many contradictions in the emotional state of the characters. To say that the female characters is dense would be a huge... more>> understatement and she keeps on blackmailing the Prince about the conditions of the contract, again and again, which was really uncomfortable, she's supposed to be the indebted one yet she doesn't understand that. Basically I have a huge problem with the female character's emotional and intellectual state, is she s*upid, is she dense or is she just naive? I read Lucia, another Korean rebirth novel in which the female is a neglected princess but she changes her choices and takes actions and precautions to change her previous fate, the novel was amazing, no contradicting emotional states and the conversations and writing style flowed smoothly. Another thing is that it might be because of the translators, because these are originally Korean novels translated into English, so the differences might be due to the translators but the fact remains that the female character of this novel is just straight up annoying. I'm wondering whether I should just drop this. <<less

I can’t comprehend how crappy and terrible this book was. The MC is nothing but a stereotypical poorly written character. I don’t know if anyone will take notice but they actually had there first time in a cave? Where the floor was wet?! What type of a setting was this. If I’m being too honest then tough luck I can’t help that the ML was cringy and every time they both had a romance scene I couldn’t help but laugh at how at it was such a bad attempt they did at trying to converse a normal conversation between the two not only that but it doesn’t get worse from there. The cliches are so bad that it’s even comparable to a wattpad fanfic. Overall here the brutal past doesn’t justify as a strong MC because it’s actually the complete opposite. The ML is literally a love dove and gets really annoying but it’s so cringy oh let’s not forget how bad the ball scene was JESUS so bad. Hahah anyway it was my first review and yeah anyone looking to read this it’s simply cringy and it was definitely written by a 12 year old.

I was interested by the title and premise, but the cover art really worried me. She's supposed to be a female knight but she looks like a typical shoujo protag? Well, perhaps since she time looped back into her younger self, she's going to hide her brutality and use wits and cunning to solve her problems.

Nope. It's just another tr*shy romance novel where the protag is an idiot and the male interest is an ass.

I think given that the MC was a knight in her previous life... the readers would probably expect her to be more ruthless and decisive but to me she resembles more of a conflicted youth who simply wants to relive the treasures of life she missed when she lost her family. Perhaps not what most readers were looking for such as face slapping and epic cut scenes but is it a good story? Without a doubt, if you ignore whatever expectation and fantasies you get from the MC after reading... more>> the summary. Perhaps if the author was more clear on how the story was gonna follow up from the start there would be less disappointment! But its a really nice shoujo novel and the face slapping, although not really as intense as u would expect, but still a satisfying read!

I hope you give this novel a try before judging on your own whether you had enjoyed this piece of art! <<less

SUPER DUPPPERRRR CUTEEE ENDING, BUT it is a journey. Honestly I felt there was so much drag and lag time. Nothing major happens probably until 230+ or even more. I would like to say it focuses a lot on the characters and a little world building but not much. You'll see Elena talk a lot about her past life and goals which becomes redundant. The couple is cute, but man I was going to drop this story. The naver art kept me going though. Not a hype story but I... more>> mean if you want to pass time, feel free to read it. There is a lot of detail in the story too. The only story I didn't care about was Elena's sisters cause it was just adding much more delay in the plot lol. <<less

Very mediocre and without suspense. The story flows nicely (which is why I read so many chapters), but if you expect any form of intrigues or scheming you will be disappointed.

The heroine returns with all her knowledge of single-minded fighting bitterly for revenge only to suddenly transform into the perfect court lady, with a brain full of flowers and niceties and dresses. Furthermore she very quickly acts like a young maiden in love and not like the 40 something years old spinster from a world of blood and war she... more>> is.

The ML is one-dimensional and really doesn't do much. Furthermore, his martial prowess is high enough to absolutely never need the heroine ("his sharpest sword") to fight in any way or form - besides in the very first scene. The whole premise of her being a knight is absolutely useless.

The romance is cheap and artificial, suddenly the author flips a switch and she loves him. The whole contract thing and reasoning is awkward.

The court scenes are also very lacking. Throwing the word tea party around and calling each other Lady doesn't suddenly make two farmers arguing a high-end conversation.

The political enemies are non-existent, if other heroines have to claw their way to marriage, this one gets an Uber.

Many scenes could be way juicier:
Spoiler

Just imagine her secretly arranging to marry the prince, but her father has already arranged a different official marriage. Mmmh!

This novel only has one light, which is Mirabelle, the little sister. I would love to read more about her. She is just like a butterfly, and her romance side-story is way more interesting and involving than the main one. That is also why I give this a 3*. <<less

It's terribly boring. I started reading this novel because I was expecting a cunning and ruthless FL, instead what I got was a dumb, bland, dense and delicate FL. Yeah, sure, she still has her female knight skills and knows how to use a sword, however, as a warrior, she should know better than to leave any loose ends (such as what happened with her maid). She can't get to the most obvious conclusions unless the answear screams right at her face. lol

Not only that, but the relationship with the... more>> ML is terribly bland too... They have no chemistry whatsoever. There is no build up. The ML loves her from the start because, guess what, she is his childhood sweethear. I didn't even get to this part and I already know this. Funny thing is she doesn't even remember him, so the relationship is all the more mismatched.

Another thing that made the experience more unpleasant were the drawings added at the end of each chapter. They are quite bad, as the artist doesn't seem to have a very good fashion sense. For example, the story says Elena is dressed beautifully, in the drawing, it's bland, colors that don't match Elena/the characters and so on. The characters are also drawn in unconfortable poses and Mirabelle seems like a child. I strongly disliked those drawnings and, if you still want to read this bland novel, I would recommed to try to steer away from them.

All in all, I don't recommed this novel. As for me, I'm still thinking whether I should finish it or just drop it altogether. At the moment, the only reason I haven't dropped it yet is because I read it in bed so I can fall asleep faster (so boring it is. true story, really). <<less

Gotta be honest, I'm quite relieved I'm not the only one who thinks this novel is very poorly-written. The plot was intriguing enough to keep me pushing forward, but it got so boring I fell asleep after every chapter lol

The author strikes me as either very young and/or very inexperienced. I read a lot of reincarnation/transmigration stories to know that you need a certain level of maturity and life-long wisdom to write this kind of plot convincingly and intelligently.

The biggest flaw of this novel is its characters, particularly the MC.... more>> They are what my Creative Writing Professor would call "stock characters." There are that pretty MC everyone loves, a hot ML, handy 2nd ML, a jealous villainess, a scary evil villain, adorable lil sis, stoic big bro, etc. You will see the pattern after a while. It's very one dimensional so it's recognizable.

All the characters were said to be smart but didn't show their intelligence at all. Elena kept acting like a naive young girl, which would be perfectly fine if she's really a young noble daughter. But the point is she's not. She's claimed to be no.1 swordswoman, lived to be around 40s, fought her way to confront the evil big boss; you'd expect her to have much more wisdom, know how to scheme and plot against others, and ultimately be much more proactive in achieving her goal. Instead, Elena is rather dim-witted, too ignorant of what should be handled, too focused on unnecessary things, too kind for her own good, and too flimsy to make life-or-death decisions.

As for other characters, some are a bit better such as the Male Lead who has his own dark side, though his head-over-heels over the MC makes him kinda boring. Some characters are just there to move the plot, like the lil sis who is basically a burden to everyone around her or the petty nemesis who hates MC for no reason. I was kinda hoping things would pick up after the plot moved to the big game (i.e. Fight for the throne) but it did not. Still boring. Still eye-rolling s*upid. So the two stars are for (1) the translator for going through this torment, and (2) the potential hidden deep under.

All in all, I think this novel would be a good read for beginner readers. I would have enjoyed it when I was much younger. Unfortunately, I've read too many dark fantasy novels and everything in-between to enjoy it.

If this is the author's debut work, I hope she got better and she grew older. There is a potential there, just really bad execution. <<less

For those who wants to read this, you need PATIENCE!

I was excited to read this and waited for all the chapters to finish but as I read I got really frustrated. PLOTHOLES! so many plotholes that was totally frustrating read. The MC is ultra dense and and a dunce! At the first few chapters, I think the MC was cool and you'd be excited reading this but as I get to ch30 or so... I started wanting to drop this and slap most of the characters in the story -... more>> including the MC. The only reason why I didn't drop this is because of the ML and I wanted to finish no matter how shitty I think this is. BUT I'm actually glad I didn't drop this. At ch200, the story gets better, the MC is getting cooler too.

The translation quality... 10/10! ⭐️ <<less

This was a very very very long novel with some very interesting arcs but then also some very boring arcs. I think if you are coming into this hoping for a lot of battles or cunning moments from the FL (Elena) it is kind of few and far between as she spends half the novel navigating noble politics. The ending battles/fight is the most interesting but it will take you 250+ chapters to get there (but very highly recommended, she unleashes the whole point of this thing which is she's... more>> a freaking strong female knight).

This novel does have a lot of cute, mushy moments between the ML (Carlisle) and FL (Elena), actually an excessively large amount. If you want a lot of romance and cute moments between ML and FL, then this is it. I think Elena is an interesting character but is so extremely 'perfect' in every way, I don't think you can go through a single chapter (of which there are 300+) without it mentioning how utterly beautiful she was and the fact that she is one of the strongest knights out there but she trains for literally no amount of time post reincarnation (the muscle memory must be strong). But ohmygod the real 1-D character with no growth/change is the ML. The impression of him from like the first few chapters is literally the same character you will get 300 chapters later, he is just a very obsessed, over-protective in-love man and if that's what you want then that's what you get. But the flirting moments, literally amazing. The romance is there from the get-go cause our boy's been in love with her for forever.

All the other supporting characters are cute though (mostly Elena's family) and the epilogue stories were probably my favorite of them all! Also Naver novels are amazing in art, it really brings the chapters to life. To be honest I do recommend this novel but would say you could probably skip like 30% of the novel and still get to the point, some of the beginning and middle filler is so useless I can't even remember them now. <<less

This story was almost perfect wish-fulfillment haha. I mean ML and MC are OP af, some of the most beautiful and powerful people, devoted to each other, HEA ending with sweet child, fated since childhood, it's so unrealistic and I LOVE it!! Sweet sweet escapism. Also there's an actual explanation for her reincarnation!! Family was a little annoying and FL sooo slow to fall but overall satisfying. This novel has ruined other books for me, such a strong heroine! Translation is superb as well!!!
