The game has serious issues, as usual.

The protagonist does too many things and is somehow at the top level in each of them, sometimes by far, so one moment she's cooking for several chapters, then she's doing alchemy for several chapters, then suddenly she's in the dungeon for several chapters, etc. Somehow she can be the best at all these things and still get her full 9 hours of sleep and do all of her school work and house work with no problems.

Overall I've had a lot of fun reading... more>> it. My only real problem is that at this point the author's writing has severely slowed down so there's not enough to read. <<less

The combat side of the series is pretty much just as well made as every other full dive VR novel, and while there are parts I dislike about it not enough to hurt the series but this book goes way way too far into cooking... If it wasn't for the cooking I would like this novel but after multiple chapters of pure cooking, it's just painful. A combat tournament is happening and the main character's reaction was to sell food there so you get 2-3 chapters of her cooking and... more>> then barely any content on the actual tournament itself, all you know is who the winners are... They spent more time having her sister talk to the GMs about the mc's food than the actual tournament itself.

There's also the issue of this girl is a non-dedicated (goes to school and doesn't commit all of her time to playing) player and she spends a lot of her time in-game cooking and yet somehow she is still an overpowered top player which would be impossible without terrible game balance. You also have the terrible drop systems in these games, the first event dropped random crap from goblins and money, they didn't even get an event title or anything.

Overall its your normal full dive VR novel with an obsession with food. <<less

I enjoyed this since its gives me Only Sense Online vibes and I really do like crafting/alchemy in books since I find it fascinating on what kind of things can be created. The character is whatever to me? I don't really think she is super interesting or super boring either. She has some insane protagonist luck though and I really like seeing the forum chapters where people are chatting about certain events in the game.

One thing that I do have to warn readers are is that the amount of cooking... more>> the MC does is insane. She doesn't really fight all too much and is more focused on cooking. The amount of chapters that are just about cooking are insane so if you don't like reading about hotdogs or steak then just warning you that this may not be for you. <<less

Decent novel but the biggest problem is that it blueballs you all the time by skipping fights, or the MC not doing something that looks obvious, and the biggest ones are when you wait for a lot of chapters until she finally have a reason to use one of her broken skills and when she finally uses it... The scene is disappointing because there's not much details, this author is weird, he/she will give you a lot of details at how to make tofu and about how is the curves... more>> of a dress but when is about the fights and skills there's so little details that at some point the fights are just a bunch of people yelling skill names at each other. <<less

what to say, the first 90ish chapters are quite good, after that the chapters become ridiculously long and long-winded. (With normal novels 1 chapter takes about 15-30 min for me, the newer chapters here take up to 1, 5-2h) partially because the story is trying to keep all the introduced characters alive. In a way they all remain somewhat relevant in exchange for depth, or long periods of absence.

the combat scenes are honestly dull, and some are even only transcribed through a third person perspective. This story functions best when... more>> focusing on 1 particular group at a time, where the rest occasionally joins at events. I think the author is trying to rectify the story back into this direction though.

i wonder what it will hold in the future. <<less

Well, I guess this novel is an average chilling novel.

The reason for that is because of its heavy focus on cooking on the earlier chapters, which is so boring I'm extremely compelled to drop the novel. And in the later chapters, there are some chapters that are very good and some that's just plain boring.

Mostly, the chapters that are good are leveling chapters, and all the other chapters are boring (except the mythological ones). Of course, there are also action scenes in those "other chapters" category, this is because of... more>> how anticlimactic the fights end and how little tension there are that they might as well be slice of life chapters.

The characters aren't very interesting either, at best, it can make you smile a little with their interactions, but other than that, you'll just be bored out of your mind. There are also certain serious "deductions" that just makes you think (if you are actually using your brain on this novel), "Wtf? How do they get this from that?"

The world building is pretty good, it's basically generic fantasy with elements from several mythologies. The mythology settings are cool, but I wish the author would spend more time exploring the Medium instead of dungeons and generic human empires.

One of the best parts of this novel is the mc's power and skills. I feel like there is a lot of potential to those skills, I'm not saying that the skills are never used in battle, it's just that there are a lot of chances for epicness or legendary moments in battle that the author just did not take. Honestly, the main problem fo this novel is its slice of life parts. There are some that are ok and some that's just plainly tedious, most of those tedious parts includes cooking and alchemy. Though the author later improved by lessening the amount of those chapters, the earlier chapters are still pretty horrible to read.

Of course, I understand that this novel has the slice of life tag, but the slice of life are not well done at all. The slice of life parts have a problem that exist in many slice of life novels, that is, the contents are skippable with little to no consequence at all. Which means, you're literally reading those parts for no reason. It felt like reading a bunch of side stories that has no real relation to the actual plot.

Well, I guess this novel will be an okay and braindead read for those who have nothing to do. <<less

I really like this novel.

I like the MC because:

  • She goes on her on way just enjoying the game doing her own things.
  • Discovering more and more mysteries of the games by coincidence or just by being dragged into it.
  • Working hard to evolve and upgrade her skill with the play style of being more like a jedi.
  • The part where she foud here exclusive character and equipment (exclusive equipment where it also grows with her the more she evolves) hidden in the place where she started at (while others missed theirs cause they didn't think that such things are there right under their noses) and leads here with an evolutionary tree where she becomes one of the OP characters.
  • She just doesn't spend all of her time in the game but also in real life where she maintains her healthy body, education and domestic abilities where she can apply it in the game.
  • She also do her best to discover information about the world, races and skills and share it to her fellow players which make her gain more advantage along with other players of the first batch.
  • The way she interacts with the NPC (residents) politely and treats them like real humans which in turns increases her liability with them and giving her hints that helps her in her growth.
The world building is great where... more>> it introduce more about the world base on the progress of the players. Where the world is also based on different myths and legends with some others aspects of reality paired with scarily realistic AIs where you feel like you aren't talking with an AI but a real person.

The diversity of the characters where the players can choose from different species or races with the help of the system to make them adopt on the characters with inhuman forms and do a full body scan to make a reference in the humanization evolution of some inhuman characters. Where there are also some hidden evolutions of extra character/ exclusive characters.

Some bad parts about this novel is that there is just too much details especially of the crafting parts where some readers are not that interested in it and just skim it.

It would also be best to have a POV and their adventures of other players to not look like the whole thing just revolves on

the MC. <<less

Love it. Perfect mix between action and slice of life.

The interactions between the characters are great and are pretty realistic as well. Looking forward for more updates.

This novel's pretty fun so far without some of the things that annoy me in other VRMMO-based novels. I can only imagine that things will get ridiculous later though because... VRMMO novels usually do. I'm hoping for the best for now, though.

It's interesting enough to keep me reading, but has a few problems. First the MC is pretty okay in my opinion. It doesn't always make sense how some stuff just falls into her lap, but it's a fantasy so I give it a pass on that. She's a very pragmatic character, has a good balance with her sister, and the other characters we meet along the way are also pretty decent. My two biggest issues with this story are:

The author loves to give details on his MMO. Numbers, skills,... more>> stats, etc, sometimes to the point where half the chapters become exposition on these details (and the chapters are long). I can't tell you how much I dispise reading tons of details about some fake MMO. If you're giving me this much info I can pretty easily nitpick discrepancies because of all the details you're putting in there, so I tend to skim through these sections. The second big issue that I had is the MC. Even though I like her on one hand, she is kind of lifeless in this. Usually I like female MC's because the authors tend to put personality into them that you don't necessarily get with a male MC's. This MC however 40+ chapters in is just not exciting. Things tend to fall in her lap to progress the story forward, and the MC is kind of blandly ploding along while it feels like the story moves forward around her and in spite of her, instead of her moving the story forward.

In any case despite these 2 criticisms overall im enjoying the story. Theres no real goal yet, and sometimes just kind of plods along, but it's enjoyable enough to read if you like MMO novels with little stakes. <<less
