She’s somehow ended up transmigrating into the book as the supporting female lead, who was beaten to death! Deeply in love with the male lead, she’s fated to be beaten to a bloody pulp before even holding hands with him?!

First things first, she needs to survive and latch onto the big thigh of a patron. But the supporting male lead is a true gentleman and feels nothing for her stunning, alluring body. That’s alright! She’ll latch onto the old madame or the male lead then!

But why does the supporting male lead look at her with increasingly odd eyes? And what of that Wulin Alliance Head with the personality disorder? You’re just a random bystander, what are you getting involved for??

Finally, the male lead could bear it no longer and dragged her back to the Prince Li Manor…

Read the tag first. It's a good read, though gets a bit boring during the war arc as MC felt a lot like the typical mary sue on a journey with her male leads, which type of story the novel had mock on so felt hypocrite still seeing that element being used. It does try itself to show how strong and independent MC is but by making MC a bit OP it went against how they been mocking on other stories with OP transmigrators.

But still overall good. The romance, so... more>> long as you are okay with the tags, is fine. Very sweet. MC growth here is also written well from being too scared to stand out to willing to stand up for her men and the country. <<less

This novel started off interestingly but halfway reading, I can't bear it anymore.

This is one of the poorest ancient transmigration novel I've read.

The original FL was engaged to the ML aka the Prince but she run off because she didn't want to marry the Prince due to rumour that he is barbaric, cold and violent etc.

... more>> Well, as of chapter 163, she kept on running away from him and repeatedly r*ped and sexually harassed by two supporting MLs.

It was to the point that the Luo dude break into her manor and r*pe her but her family still can't do anything. They then blamed the Prince for being cold (like wtf?) and kinda forced him to still marry her because it's the emperor decree.

So the original FL shamelessly trying to marry the Prince restore her dignity.

I can't stand her character written so poorly. They way the author make up the scene of her getting r*pe repeatedly is like doing some sort of fun game. Total bullshit.

I'm gonna dropped the book because seriously I'm just bored and sick of the s*upid plot. <<less

Actually they can be 5 but I really had a grudge with this novel, in first chapter until 100++ I feel so frustrated bcs the relationship between MC and male supporting character and the ML, and I drop it for more that one year and pick it up again and feel they Actually good beside some characters that's annoy me, this novel hal 2 transmigration character include our MC and 1 character rebirth, that's why it make this novel complicated and for me I need to take a break when... more>> reading it, the ending was satisfying the supporting male character had their own fated love story and I'm glad author give it to them cus they already worked hard for our mc <<less

what annoys me the most in some of the transmigration novels is that the transmigrators do not realise that this is their life and the novel. However, MC keeps thinking or male lead, supporting male lead, etc like she is still reading a book and not living her own life.

no idea why it is a “Comedy”. I find it boring.

Its light story but enough too keep it interesting whole through.

FL not the dumb one althought at the first she looked like desperate n timid in front of ML

Althought at first I lil bit confuse because FL try to hooked with second ml, but it resolved nicely for me..

This type of novel suitable for those who want to read josei without too much intrict... the intrict deljver one bg one and resolved one by one without too much intrict at one time...

I have a lot of things to say. But the one I wanted to say the most is among all the transmigration novels and manhuas I've read, this work is the most realistic one.

I really love it. And these are the few reasons why:

  • All characters are not superficial at all. For example,
... more>>
Spoiler

Bai Xiangxiu (FL) was a transmigrator and in her previous life, she was just a common worker who lived a normal life. But suddenly, she was thrown into a cannon fodder's body who will die a miserable death. Of course, as someone who lived in a society where citizens were protected by law, she experienced an immense pressure and a will to survive for her family and friends waiting for her in the modern world. This made her timid and weak in the slightest situation where ML or the old madam is involved (because they were the characters who caused the original Bai Xiangxiu to die) but desperate for measures to survive. She made a lot of clumsy tactics but it also gained her good impressions from others (You will understand once you read. It's not pure luck lolol) Our FL is not the usual strong willed FLs in the transmigration novels. She hardly adapts like in etiquette, mingling with ancient people, living in a society where little importance is given to human lives etc. So she tends to misunderstand a lot of things in a good and a bad way. Because of her emotions clouding her judgment, she had a hard time to realized ML's genuine feelings for her. It's not that she was dumb and naive, she really fear her death. That's why even though personally, I got annoyed by her, it was understandable. FL's character is realistic.

Another example is Long Heng, our ML. I didn't like ML personally. He was the typical ML. Overbearing and egoistical. *Sigh* But there are few points that I'd like about him. I really like the author for this character template and background. Since ML is a competent military general, he was heartless in persecution for both males and females. He practiced equality. It's not that because he is a formidable male, he looked down on females. It's more like, because he has a lot of pride in his accomplishments, he looked down on those people who didn't have. The best example for this is when he likes FL romantically but he didn't put her in equal position as his. He took for granted that FL should just follow on his decisions. It was annoying. That's why I ship FL to Song Jiaoyue instead. The best male character of all. *Sigh*

Another point I'd liked is that, the author portrayed he was indifferent in relationship because he lived in military for a long time. It was his nature to normally talk like a superior when he talked to FL. It was a habit difficult to change. His way of thinking is so different from normal people when it comes to relationships. That's why I like the author for this. He/she didn't turn the ML into a completely different persona. The author wrote a long and arduous transformation for ML which turned for the better in the end.

[collapse]

  • This is another reason why I gave this novel a 5 star rating. Someone's nature cannot be changed casually in the name of "love" *rolls eyes* other readers complained why FL is so unlikeable but it's not really easy to change one's nature just because you have to. Or just like ML, it took him a long time to realized why he have to change. *shrugs*
These are the two points usually lacking in a lot of novels. If there are things I didn't like in the novel, or more like some things I really wished for the author to write is
Spoiler

for FL and Song Jiaoyue to be together. I'm honestly sad for this. I'd really like to see how FL will get out of her predicament just to be together with Song Jiaoyue. Most of my heartbreaks came from him. I was really expectant from this. But too bad that the author made FL and ML suitable to each other later on. With all honestly, FL and ML were not really suitable for each other at all. Just from dominant-submissive relationship that were introduced in the beginning, I see no healthy relationship for FL from being together with ML. This is depressing *sigh*

[collapse]

Another thing that I think is missing is
Spoiler

when FL didn't confront ML with the truth that she was from an another world. I was really expectant of how ML will react ever since he changed for the better. Too bad FL didn't. But I think ML already know though. He just didn't say it.

[collapse]

But this is not really enough reason for me to stop reading this. It was worth it, I promise. C: You will not regret reading it till the end of the chapters. *Thumbs up* <<less

The first part of the novel (before FL starts showing her tail) leaves me with so much angst. Like dude, how many times you keep doing thing just because you keep thinking that you’re not the FL and that you’re bound to die a year later. But then after the first part, it gets real good.

The beginning half (before chapter ~194) is the typical transmigration plot where the MC is trying to avoid the ML for dear life (and risks getting the second ML involved in a possible blood bath if the ML finds out she's trying to hug his best friend's thigh) and the latter becoming more and more interested in her because of her reactions. I did find myself getting annoyed that every 3-4 chapters, MC has an injury and the poor physician keeps making trips to diagnose not so serious problems health... more>> problems. I also thought that being scared of the ML's wrath was not an excuse to sneakily send gifts to his best friend, when the MC could have just been upfront and said: "I'm just a concubine. I want to live. Please help me." Thankfully, the second ML had a brain and rejected the MC, allowing her to kind of fall-back on the original plan, which was to not get on the ML's bad side.

The latter half when MC goes to save her man was actually really good. Her character development is truly on point and I would just say, she really rose to the occasion (whether it be recovering from giving birth and getting over her hemophobia). Her newly found confidence led her to be a really good strategist and change the tide of the war. Even though she got tortured for information to use against her man, she plotted ways to get herself out of the situation. My favorite part was the roast she gave the original FL (below is just the last but very compelling question of her amazing tirade) :
Spoiler

Chapter 204: “The question before you now isn’t ‘Are you a cheap whore?’, it’s “How much of a cheap who*e are you?”

[collapse]

There is a lot of mention of "carnal desires" and how the ML and the large cast of supporting male leads are always trying to "tumble in the sheets" with the MC and original MC. If you don't feel comfortable constantly reading about s*x then I wouldn't really recommend this novel (the details are not elaborated on but as the story progresses, the main characters just keep doing it, to the point where the MC is always stuck in bed for three days, a detail I find bizarre and also highly concerning but ok).

Overall, if you can get past the first half of the novel, the story ends pretty well! I still don't really know the history/background behind Huo'er but hey, he and his ancestors will continue to have history with the MC's family. Cool I guess. <<less

Fun, comical, and sweet. The negative reviews should not be taken in consideration for reading. It is worthwhile. The plot develops well and flows naturally. The ML is loyal to the MC and their relationship transitions from skepticism to one that is wholesome and endearing.

Spoiler

There's a happy ending as well.

Read this a while back. I do like it. One of the few transmigration stories with an expanded story and a lot of arcs that I don't find completely tedious to read. The main characters aren't the most groundbreaking. A binge-able story but not anything you'll carry with you.

3.5 / 5

Though it starts kinda bad with the author making no progress in the story except by having Bai Xiangxiu injured. It gets better, or maybe you just get attached to the characters later on that you don't mind the overused FL injured = plot progress. The secondary characters are good too, but I wanted more interactions with Lin Qianzi as she was the FL in the original novel. Also, the author could have developed Luo Yunzheng character more.

Nevertheless, this was a good novel if you can get past... more>> the first 100 chapters of the FL getting constantly injured, kidnapped, and almost r*ped in every few chapters for plot progress. The best part was the later war chapters when the FL finally stop fearing the ML, blood, and death, and you actually see her character growth. <<less

Uh, how can I say anything about this novel other than that it is AMAZING??? I love the FL. She is tough and smart and able to handle anything that comes her way. She uses all the tools at her disposal, is ruthless to her enemies, but she is still a good person. The ML is rough at first, but when they do get together, oh man, they are a dream team of cleverly outwitting their opponents. It is kind of long, but dang, I need to read it again.

OMG!!!

So much moeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I loved how was the female lead running away from and towards the male lead.

... more>> I loved how this novel shows how much a great helping wife can help his man to great places and troublesome ones just make trouble and waist the greatness in their husband. All in all, this novel shows even in ancient times a woman's power is necessary! Even if she is a lead, she can't just do whatever she likes!!!

I love a clever protagonist and a good romance.

Go on and read this novel at ones!!! A masterpiece in its own way! <<less

Perfect score for ML. Anyone who usually dislike cold overbearing male leads (like me), I dare you to read this and say you don't like the ML.

Perfect score for FL. Not naive yet still kind but shows ruthlessness at appropriate times and her morality isn't twisted.

Some parts of story makes you bored but the liveliness and realistic-ness (?) of the characters made up for it. I usually don't like re-reading novels because I think it's pointless if you already know what would go on, but damn if this story isn't... more>> too addicting that it made me re-read it. <<less

This has got to be in the top 5 of the best novels I've ever read (I've already read more than 100 books and novels) and also one of the only novels I could actually read until the end of the plot.

I've never once doubted the love between Bai Xiangxiu and Long Heng, they're so adorable together and the ending couldn't have been any more perfect. Although there were many women who were basically cannon fodders, the Old Madam also turned out to be much kinder than I believed.
