Seiya Kanie is a good looking, perfectionist boy who is forced by the mysterious Isuzu Sento to visit an amus**ent park named Amagi Brilliant Park, which is in serious financial trouble and about to be closed forever.

The park is actually staffed by refugees from a magical realm called Maple Land, and the park is a facility for harvesting magical energy from visitors while they’re having fun. As such, the park is the only way the refugees can maintain their existence in the human realm.

To save the park from closing, Seiya is hired by the owner, Latifa Fleuranza, to use his skills in entertainment to become its new manager. However, to not lose the land to a real estate agency, they have only three months left to attract 250,000 visitors, a feat that seems impossible given the park’s current situation.

Status: v8 epilogue
Credit to J-Novel Club for picking this series up and the quality of their translation. If you enjoyed the anime then you'll also like the light novels. The source material is more humorous than the anime was, it can also be serious when it wants to be. It can be dark at times, with one obvious exception you don't really dwell on it except for the few plot relevant times when the author decides to remind you that yes there are some serious stakes in this story. I enjoyed my... more>> time reading this series so much that I was sad when I caught up to the end and there was nothing more to read due to how much personality a lot of the cast had (half or more of the supporting characters had time or scenes devoted to them in order to properly flesh them out). Hopefully before this decade ends Gatou continues with the series, especially with the massive cliffhanger he ended Volume 8 on. <<less
