It's honestly been quite a while since I've stuck my head into a novel and had difficulty pulling back.

Everything about this novel gave me a thrill I've been chasing after for a long while.

Short synopsis: Basically about a girl who loves acting being chosen by a system to go to multiple worlds and make the "VIP" characters love her in order to gain the power of faith.

... more>> Pros:

I love our MC. She stays true to herself and we can sense she enjoys her journey throughout the different worlds. She doesn't get too involved with the world either. What I like the most about her is she dates whenever she wants to. She isn't very obsessed with chastity much.

I've read 100s of QT novels at this point and I've enjoyed reading them too. Even the best QT novels out there have MCs who stay loyal to one guy. Like girl be fr. If it was a man that was an MC to a QT novel, god knows how large his body count is going to be. Authors of FMC novels, please let your MCs live a little.

Anyway back to the novel, I've always been fond of face-slapping novels and boy does this novel how to make each of the revenge arcs satisfying (except for one arc. I'll mention it in the cons).

Mostly every arc had a satisfying ending and there were little to no plotholes throughout the novel.

Cons

ML for the most part is.... meh. He alright. So is the system. Good thing is no one tries to steal MC's spotlight.

Spoiler

Those vampires really deserves so much more retaliation for what they did to her. I get that they are the capture targets but how I wish I could go into the novel and beat them up. I mean, dark romance lovers are gonna love this arc. There was too much angst for my taste.

[collapse]

The ending arc and ending as a whole, I just skimmed through the pages because it was a little boring.

The biggest con of this novel was that it wasn't long enough. I crave for more Wen Ying and her journey through the worlds.

Once in a blue moon I come across a novel that is simply a pleasure to read. This is that novel. Was it a highly thought provoking, sophisticated novel? No. There is just something about this novel that keeps you from putting it down. Highly recommend. <<less

It's just the first arc but FL's personality already captured me; which is rare among this sea of cliche Fl.

She's openminded, driven and hardworking (well, aren't they all?)

BUT how she faced the scandal like a real adult woman in this first world is simply amazing. She owned up to it. No acting pitiful, no whitewashing and definitely no excuses. Just like how the origFL is supposed to be. Liberated, practical and smart. I really like how she handled this role.

I hope I read more good things in the coming... more>> arcs... <<less

I quickly read one arc and the final chapter. I like to spoil myself beforehand, so I don't start investing my emotions early on, only to be disappointed. In this case, it paid off. This novel isn't what I'm usually looking for, so I'll refrain from rating it. That doesn't mean it's a bad novel, it's just not in my strike zone.

The MC is the type I like - smart, resourceful, and can adjust to her situation. The way she deals with her tasks is like a carefully constructed scheme,... more>> lol. Anyway, that was an aspect I liked.

The arc settings don't seem groundbreaking, but still interesting to read. The aspect that broke the deal for me is that
Spoiler

the author loves open endings. I get her point, but it's not my thing. But at least there's room for a sequel.

Spoiler

I was also surprised with the ML the author chose. The romance altogether didn't manage to tickle my romantic bone. It also seemed like a last-minute decision on the author's side to make this a 1v1. It's my personal preference to have the arcs' ML be the same and final ML, so this is really just a matter of taste. Readers who aren't bothered by this and are more concerned with how the MC achieves her tasks will be fine. There is still some romance within the arcs, however. At least in the first arc, the MC had a harem going. I suspect that stays true for the rest of the arcs.

This is a 1v1 HE world hopping novel, however the OTP will only be until the very end. I really like this premise since our MC able to form relationships with various different kind of people until the end when she finally with a companion that will not disappear forever. I also like how the world is setup where MC able to get off the world when the climax is at the highest thus in various world she doesn't actually have to stay and fall in love and form families... more>> with the men she captured - when the task is done, its done, no need for the boring ending. Her clone will stay and fulfill the relationship.

The worlds themselves are not straying far from the usual, and the drama also not too convulated. The MTL is not too bad though some feelings will be lost. If you are patient just put this novel on hold for several years until the translation is finished. <<less

Idk why the ratings are so long, this is a pretty good story???

The MC is capable but not overly malicious, her scheming is pretty interesting particularly because, again, she's not overly malicious. The plots are pretty interesting too; I've never seen a premise like Arc 2 w the Emperor chasing after a married woman haha.

So far it's also not necessarily the same ML every world, but I'm totally fine with that. It's clear she's dedicated to the person she chooses every time (or at least the fake her).

So awesome but the ending leaves me dumbstuck why is there no more chapters there should be sequel it would be so interesting really need someone to rant about it. Why is there so less people reading this it so good try the 1 chapter and you wont leave it. I always wait for updates but for this one I read the mtl immediately after reading the updated chapters. Please change the summary I missed this novel for so long because the summary is the worst, nothing in the novel... more>> happens according to the summary its really misleading!! <<less

One of the best hetero QTs I have come across. MC might appear to juggle multiple men but her character decides on 1 in the end. She also leaves once her objective has been achieved and leaves behind a code-made character to continue living in the world.

Now, normally, I do not like no-romance romance novels aka novels which has romance as main line but the MC is unfeeling/ does not have romance. This QT has MC playing the host completely, immersing herself into the role but she remains separated till... more>> the end.

And it works. MC pushes herself to the limit, does acts that push her to the brink of death/ failure and successfully achieves the objectives in each world. And there is no dissonance. Readers will not feel as if she is cold/ heartless nor feel betrayed when she leaves the selected partner in each world behind and moves on to the next world partner.

This author has managed to toe this line and it has led to a wonderful story.

There is a CP for MC. Even though MC & ML romance is barely showed (or not at all actually coz ML was in animal-mode most of the time lmaoo), I somehow felt the way they fell for each other. For MC, romance is not wild feelings, fiery passions or lust. For MC, it's peaceful companionship and absolute trust. In fact, the romance develops only when MC goes back to her own world. Until then, ML is her most trusted companion but not romantic partner.

Spoiler

As a final test, MC is sent back to her old world without any memories or any powers she awakened. She goes back as a child. ML is also sent and they meet and basically spend their childhood, teenage years together. It's only at the end that both get their memories back. It's pretty sweet imo

[collapse]

I would highly recommend this novel to anyone who wants a sort of different flavoured QT.

I like this novel so far. It's a bit long but very enjoyable.

I like that the MC doesn't really have a cheat besides only having the back story of each world that she's in. She basically don't have a cheat and is using her head to come up with the plans to gather the faiths.

I'm on my way to read the raw.

Chapter 44 translated = Chapter 15 RAW, in the middle.

EDIT:

Okay so I just got done with the 4th arc. I'm gonna stop reading here. Each chapter is super long and it kind a gets boring after a while. The 4th arc s**ked really bad for me. At first it was good but half way through to the end of the arc it just got really boring and long. <<less

I just finished this one, so my feelings are fresh. I'll try to be short, but I know it's impossible, so here's my view on it.

The premise of this story is actually unusual to me, unlike many world hopping novels we don't get any tragic event that triggers MC to be bound by the system. Wen Ying is your typical hard-working and talented actress, but even if she was first in class, she still is no one and is ridiculed by ones who had more background and opportunities, so she... more>> is bound because she is not reconsiled about the inequality. Then things are simple, like in many novels, she has to travel other small worlds, try to change the fate of her character and then capture the targets, sounds easy, but most of the time she starts from pretty bad point in time. Not to mention that there can be multiple targets. It sounds like she should become some sea king, but it's not and she won't do it like that. Also it is important to know that she's not the one in this world, although these are not villains in the convenient way, but there are people like her, they were convoys but in the end were too tempted by the power and wanted to take it as their own, her task to balance things back, thus we don't get any slap face cliche plots or revenge plots etc. Main point is that if one side loses, they basically will be "powerless" and won't continue to struggle for targets, that's it. Doesn't mean the story is without death, but it's not brought by any bloody plot or revenge from Wen Ying herself.

The storylines and plots of these worlds and they way Wen Ying solved them are pretty unusual to me, since even if we hop from modern, to ancient, to future, it's really nothing like things I'm used to read. It mostly involves emotional lines between characters, how Wen Ying reverses her situation along the way, so you really feel like reading separate novels. This effect is achieved because we're not distracted from the plot, we don't have endless dialogues with the system, Wen Ying doesn't get the hundreds ways of entertainment from her system, basically except from the story plot nothing additional happens. It also emphasizes how Wen Ying gets invested in her own role.

The romance also is conveyd in an unusual way. I'm not talking about targets, but her actual companion, that's it - companion. From final comment I realized why author wrote it that way, since they basically didn't want to write any happy marriage or children, they used an open ending to showcase the companionship between two people, but it also worked to me because it doesn't start or even doesn't end with some sort of passionate love etc. You really get the feeling of "companionship" between two people after reading. Well, one isn't really a human from the beginning. What I find really unusual is that this develops on the background of her emotional lines in these worlds. And for me author managed to do it so in the end I didn't feel that Wen Ying was a scum who cheated on feelings, we do treat her as an actor who is invested in her roles, she becomes her roles. She didn't destroy anyone, on the contrary she played according to original characer, she managed to take out shortcommings of these men, show them what they missed in their own judgement, also make them better, make them grow etc. But also it manages to not destroy the feeling of companionship and growing feelings between the two. I keep saying unusual, that's because most commonly we either get ML who is same person in each world, or MC does have relationships in worlds or may not have them, but in the end she's only one person left. Here Wen Ying may be in a relationship with someone or with no one, it depends on the story and settings of the worlds, but often times when emotional entanglement is over she's like that White Moonlight that people are incapable to forget.

On a final note, I may not agree with everything written (some themes), but I was really invested when reading and found it interesting, the storylines especially. At times I wished it would dig deeper to make it more profound, but in the end it was quite satisfactory experience.

PS: Now a bit of spoilers to showcase how Wen Ying manages to reverse without being labeled as a sea king, I've taken 1st worls as an example.

Spoiler

In the first world we have Wen Ying as an actress who seems to be vain and wanted to take a shortcut, thus she dumped her boyfriend, who later became popular actor, she was also dumped by original golden backer, her role and everything were robbed by her stand-in and this stand-in used "black material" to get rid off her. Target person of her play she managed to reverse with her hard work and the basic understanding of her character. With the golden backer she revealed the hypocrisy of his actions that someone he mentions as "hard-working" gets things and opportunities and has smooth road just because he believes in this character, also revealed that being kept isn't all sunshine from her side, she got her share of contempt from others, while all she got weren't solid resources, but opportunities. To the ex-boyfriend she revealed the opportunities that she brought that made him smooth-sailing in this circle, but it was her who paid the price instead. I find that it was nicely played around. She didn't use any of them to play against her opponents, she just showed what they missed behind their own conviction and later they figured out the actual truth about her and the one who brought her down by themselves. This happens in other worlds too basically.

Whoa, the premise is that the FL is no longer virg*n/ single, so FL has so many tricks under her sleeves to get the ML with her so-called acting.

The ML notably is the FL's first lover, but not her current scum husband/ golden thigh/ so-called boyfriend.

The story is good, but the plot is not. And my moral value for this novel barred too low, so I will stop here and keep waiting for the upcoming official translations.

The translation's update is so fast, salute for the translator!

Well, it is a breath of fresh air when a story tries to define "plot armor" and does NOT mess up.

Really well-played in the first story. Nice story with actual, realistic ambiguity & did not make any of the men as brain-dead simps. (Giving it a 5* to balance low scores, easily a 4.2-4.3*)

Let's see how it goes ahead

Currently not sure why there are so many bad reviews as only one chapter is translated. I'm going to assume it is bots. Chapter one has been moving at a pretty fast rate, as typical of quick transmigration. The female lead has a mission and has just transmigrated into a famous female artist who just had a scandal. It seems interesting and I want to see how the author will pan out her path. So far, I rate it with a five star as it seems promising, but I hope... more>> the author doesn't follow the typical tropes of quick transmigration. Will update after I finish this novel. <<less

I really like this novel and I really like the main character, at first glance it seems like a normal quick transmigration/world-hopping story with the same troupes and clichés but I don't mind this. When I start reading these stories, what I care about is the fun to be have reading it and how good the main character is. But as I continued reading the first three arcs, the author's writing style does a great disservice to the story they're trying to tell.

I started noticing it during the second arc,... more>> the first arc was competently written and I was hooked but starting from the second arc I felt as thought the author had changed her style a lot. In the first arc, the different events that happened in the world was described well and so were character dialogues. It felt as though things were happening and even though it followed normal cnovel conventions of writings (less descriptive, more dialogue). I thought it fit the type of story it was.

But with the second arc, I felt as though there were less and less dialogue/character interactions, most events were summarized and even character interactions were summarized. The time skips were also confusing and the worlds not well explored. I felt like the plots were getting grander but the writing getting worse with it.

With these types of cnovel, the qt/world hopping kind, the focus is usually on the characters with lots of small scale interactions. The author seemed to have forgotten this and moved to wildly skip around and summarizing everything, interesting events? Summarized. Interesting conversations? Summarized. Interesting characters interactions? Summarized.

Nothing was spared and the story felt way less impactful. I'll try to continue and read because I like Wen Ying, hoping the author will improve in her writing or go back to what she did before for the first arc. I'll update with more thoughts as I get further in the novel. <<less

I am very impressed with the author. This easily becomes one of my favorite world-hopping novels. The MC here is quite manipulative. She can easily lead on multiple men and I don't even think of her as s**tty; I just find her clever. I have to say that I am pleased with the amount of Reverse Harem I get from this novel ☆ (+_+). There's not much love because MC is an actress. She is acting as the character in every world she gets transmigrated in. However, see the spoiler... more>> for the love line.

Spoiler

MC gets a reward for every world she gets a successful outcome. One of her rewards is a panda (There's a part where system said it's an orc, but he has a panda appearance nevertheless). This panda grew up in the space where she talks with the system. At first, the panda is too young so she leaves him in the space and whenever she comes back, the panda has already grown up substantially. This panda can go with her to the different worlds and attach to one character, supporting her in her task. Basically, this panda, named Ollie, can transform to have a human appearance even in the space. In the last arc, she decides to take Ollie with her to her past world, but there she will lose memories and return to the time when she was 12 years old. They discover their love for each other in that arc. However, it's an open ending so you won't get much actual romance from them, just the budding romance.

[collapse]

My favorite arcs are Big Bang! Gossip Big Bang [MC acts as a broker for 3 male artists] and The Three-Year Itch [MC is stuck in a hopeless marriage]. These arc titles are from mtl so this may not be the arc title in the translations. Anyway, give this one a try and don't read what you don't like. In my case, I skipped 2 arcs.

During the times when the plot would thicken to the point where a normal person would have been stumped, the author finds a way to turn things around and make the situation conclusive for the MC. The first arc is just a starter so go ahead and read the next arcs before you drop the story if ever! <<less

I don't know how to not rate the book. If this post does have a rate, please overlook that, that is something I don't know how to do.

Anyway, I finished with arc 1. It was good. Rlly good. But there was s9mething that I didn like, and yea, it's my personal preference but... it rlly is intolerable.

Seeing the comments, I don't think there is one or a set ML, which rlly isn't my thing.

But I will continue to read it and see if there rlly is romance.

I really quite enjoyed this! Some arcs were particularly interesting and fresh with the premises, with the MC becoming different types of characters seamlessly. It's also nice how most arcs have a wide variety of love interests so it never gets boring! The MC is strong, independent and cool, but this also means she can be a bit one dimensional at times and behave weirdly in some worlds. Some arcs she pretends to be this cutesy princess type which just does not fit with her character and thus, makes me... more>> cringe.

There's a little bit of intrigue about the system but most of that is pretty background. It mainly focuses on the world's she goes to. The entertainment world / modern arcs are the best 👌.

My only gripe is that sometimes the translations for more complicated arcs are completely confusing and incoherent. A lot characters are introduced and context is left unexplained. This is probably the author's blunder, but the translation adds to the chaos. Best example would be the game world arc, where it took me ages to understand who the characters where and what was going on.

In any case, this was an enjoyable read and super fun!! <<less

This is a fresh story with various interesting plot. I love how despite being the one transmigration pov of man the author focus nicely on other characters too. There is might a vague end but never an unsatisfied end. Aside from the translation that sometimes good and bad the story are very nicely written have a concrete and solid plot plus character.

I hope I could read this story until it finished.

Their interaction is cute, but if we say that it's romantic and sweet, nah I don't think so. I've read a lot of female QT novels and a lot of them were based on conquering a guy's heart, and yes it's indeed a good read because the guy would fall in love, etc. But it's actually about manipulating how to make a guy fall in love to survive and complete task, which kind of removed the romance part of it.

Why is the ratings so low. Its very unique.

As a BG QT enthusiast this is one of the most refreshing stories I've seen. It doesn't have the rushed story where the FL would be so domineering and would finish the task immediately. This paces slowly and with different techniques but always have a good outcome (as far as what I've read)
