The cover page is misleading. You won't find that hard faced dignified man and the seemingly flourishing capital in which you will imagine lots of political intrigue and schemes as the main theme of the story. What you will find is new enemies power up, then new enemies power up again. That cycle repeating till the end of the story.

The best word to represent the story is repetitive. MC always come at the final moments and seems waiting for that exact time. Always happens. As if there's no single time... more>> when the MC interrupt things when it's not escalated till the very end.

There's lots of plot holes that even someone that isn't observant like me able to notice. you'll have to endure half chapter ranting before the plot progress in each event. All the chapters has at least 3 people saying their piece regardless relevant or just some tr*sh talks. So many names referred from football players or related that it makes the immersion in the story become significantly lessen.

It could be a story I really enjoy had the author make the pattern of the story more vary <<less

The translation quality was pretty bad, I'd give it a 2.5/5. Sentences were difficult to read and multiple words were misused.

As for the story; the author seems to not know many western names while writing a western fantasy, so characters are named after famous people (usually football players) and even cities are named after football clubs, making it hard to immerse yourself in the story.

Many details are changed randomly or just don't match up to what was said before, plot points are completely forgotten as are some seemingly important characters.

The... more>> MC starts out with a decent IQ, but soon gets dumber and dumber and does incomprehensible things to stretch out the word count.

Spoiler

Has ways to instantly teleport but never uses it so he can show up last minute to be the hero. Also, fights that he can end in one hit go for a full chapter to show how OP he and his subordinates are.

[collapse]

That said, the story was interesting at times, I think the author had some good ideas and wrapped the story up decently, but too many details were forgotten in the process. <<less

In my eyes this is a complete fanfiction and not a premium novel, I read this one as such a mind state. Please read this review and view it accordingly.

Just like many stories. The beginning was the most interesting. There wasn't much character development or a lot of harem members, but in my opinion the harem part was handled very well. I felt a lot of characters almost (or totally) forgotten during the progression of the novel. And I felt that the author introduced some characters without much thought. He... more>> just put them there, maybe they will be good for something later. But they got forgotten. This could be much better after a rework and maybe some extension. (And maybe after renaming a lot of countries and characters) Still this is an enjoyable one (Especially the beginning of the novel). The ending was decent but only so so. <<less

Tons of plot holes, flat characters. Even the charcter's goldenfinger seems to be badly explained and has inconsistent behavior with the rest of the world, many "design decisions" dont make much sense and are basically badly planned and slipshod.

Other reviews do mention that all the loose ends are tied up, however it does seem near the end that the writer was just writing whatever idea he had that could work to tie them together. Many charcters are not properly featured: the MC has a pet that ... more>>
Spoiler

can gain immunity to an element after devouring a god core of the same element, but consumes three cores and is then promptly forgotten. In fact, all of MC's pets are OP but they just seem to become something more like a hobby for the female interest...

[collapse]

The powers/cultivation system of this world is not cohesive, there seems to be a way that the world develops, yet MC seems to have his own separate cultivation system, all on his own... that seems to be an inherited blueprint that he just needs to fill. It makes the process of cultivation completely uninteresting, and nothing creative is done with all the powers.

A lot of characters bear strong reference to popular icons, from basketball, football, etc. If seeing an emperor share a name with a football star and using chunnyibou attacks turns you off, this might not be for you. I personally didn't really mind that. However, many "powers" from earth are recreated by the MC,
Spoiler

and his disciple just happens to have the "rubber heart" physique and is named luffy and the "rubber fist technique" is found in an ancient scroll... I guess the "creator god" is from earth but it just seems like a weak premise to me.

[collapse]

A lot of hidden dragons in this continent, they don't seem to care really when their empire/subodinates are getting slaughtered... hmmm...

The "real enemy" of the entire story keeps changing,
Spoiler

first its the home empire, then other empires, then the undead, other fantasy races, an undead invasion from hell, then it becomes an invasion from otherworldly locust bugs... with really weak links between each.

[collapse]
The enmities from previous are forgotten "for a greater good" and the deaths glossed over with no mourning whatsoever. Death seems to be more of a plot device and the number of people killed more of a "gague" for the MC's rage.

Characters are flat. I really can't give you any side character traits past "determined, loving wife" and "devoted to cultivation side male character", and an arrogance scale. like really. I only wanted to finish reading it because I was 1k chapters in and wanted to see the ending. it isnt really worth it, I would stop at around 500 or so which is where chapter quality starts to tank. <<less

I don't know why so many negative reviews are out there as for me it was quite a read, there ware almost zero plot holes, all the loose ends were tied up at the end, not a large harem like many out there and the best part is there is no fu**ing world over other worlds and the ending is quite satisfactory. one of the few Chinese novel that I completed and ya translation is also good...

I really recommend this one give it a try you might also like it.

The MC characteristics :

A showoff fcktard

A shortsighted lazy a**hole

... more>> A greedy wastrel

A commanding idiot

A deserter who wants loyalty of his subordinates

Is the MC a protagonist or not?

The MC is a fcking as*hole who loves to prank and dont know to read situation despite being describe knowledgeable. This novel lacks too many important stabilizing and balanced development aspects Such as guilds or sects. I Don't understand either the author wants a Knight system or Archer system.

So Many good Development of the Cultivation system feel shallow and Lacking, the mage and warrior system feels scattered.

Also the MC didnt know how to gather subordinates. If he just established a sect or a guild to gather cultivators whether warriors or mages he will have a invincible army. Also the hulk potion should have tiers depending whether it would be taken from different levels of people. It could a variation of warrior class or mage class. It could also have low level ones to highest level from normal people to sun class realm.

What a waste this novel could also reach at least a 5000 chapter novel. If you guys wants a goodread I suggest skip this novel if you plan to read it. <<less

Completed this novel and its good. Ending was a bit rushed but to be fair it was better for it to end then continue on like other novels that just go on and on and on. Most scenarios that might seem pointless in the beginning are tied up as you go along and the best part is that there is non of the s*upid romance/ s*upid female love interest virus that plagues so many good novels.

give it a try if u like cross over type novels where MC not s*upid... more>> per se at the beginning and is strong but not op from the start and has to go through the usual weak to strong bs torture that they usually do. <<less

The very definition of a Stallion Novel. I would Recommend to switch of your brains while reading this, if not expect cobwebs in your brains.

The plot is extremely standard as if the author picked up a Dummy's guide to a Stallion Novel for authors book and followed it to the word.

A very scripted Novel about the MC becoming all powerful god of the new transported world, with steady all time present bad-guys (who have unbearable hatred for MC that follow the MC's power level), A goddess beauty that is loved... more>> by all (Flags Creator Supreme), Another Goddess that can fight (Is squishy on the inside). And as all followers of the MC that pledge their undying allegiance to the MC for nodding at them (who sadly lose all their loved ones so they can follow the MC for dominance). The perfectly timed Power-ups (which would make the god of luck be ashamed of his luck being so low). The Extraordinary Cultural Changes bought forth by the MC and hailed as genius and god (f*ck the consequences). The Most powerful armor the Plot armor which all MC's have.

It's f*cking boring after the first few chapters with its nonsense power ups and garbage world building, and the tr*shiest character building ever. I wish I had a neuralyzer so I could erase this sh*t from my brain. <<less

I wanted to give 5 ratting but after reaching 600 chapter I felt the story is not moving forward instead author is simply dragging it.

And the reasons are:
Spoiler
  • Sudden increase of experts and their cultivation levels but story remaining the same or MC still being in the same empire as a king. But in that empire at the beginning these experts can be counted in a single hand but now each and every person MC meets is stronger then him.
  • MC leaves for competition around 200 chapters but he won't returns to his place after the competition. Or we can even say author forgot about MC's people and kingdom after the competition. Author focuses on MC and his followers but he fails to consider MC's kingdom, managing his people or making MC the emperor.
  • Introducing Church and following same principle.
  • church is corrupt.
  • Female Protagonist has different constitution so Church is interested in her.

*sigh* the only thing I know after reading this novel is that the author really really like slapping people, football, anime, always compared the character (s) with the god (s) as if the character (s) there are really that strong yet not that strong, contradicting personality, stance and ego, etc..

All of this crap is repetitive making it dull to read. I really want to read this until the end though but I just can't.

It is an okay story, so far, but really the description needs an overhaul. MC is not instantly OP, but so far has not received any major setbacks (as of c99). Would do more to flush out the MC and not have everything go his way (for the most part). Author or TL though.... stay on track ffs. The same person ends up different names and events when recounted don't match up. They are minor flaws in the story, but happen so often and early on. Also uses a lot... more>> of well known IRL names and doesn't even bother to rename them. Side note, not sure if in raw or TL pref, but can there not be a better word then "stoked" for everything? <<less

Honestly quite a good start and premise, but there's just some logic flaw that vexes me.

Other than the using of a famous football player and other copyright-material, the growth of MC is actually quite good, sure it's feels insta OP, but the pacing of the story also support the growth of MC.
The pace at the end is rushed and feels like the author just wanna end the story, but the fight scene is not prolonged, which I personally like. Although, the ending was kinda good, it leaves little question... more>> unanswered, makes it feels like some prequel story is underway. Overall, it's quite a good novel. <<less

So far so good. I quite enjoyed the mention of Diablo and how the author gives life to the NPCs that I love so much.

I personally hate those stories where the author uses so much plot armor that it is not thrilling. One sign of it the the overuse of "though" and the overreactions. However, although this novel might sound not so good for some, it doesn't have any of these.

This spoiler doesn't tell much

There is not an overbearing harem, but a pretty defined romance from the beginning where they love each other and are already fiance.

There is beast taming in a very funny way, similar to the super smart dog in Long Live Summons.

I've been reading it every day and I'm loving it. I've been laughing a lot. I am always expecting the next scene.

For those who liked Heavenly Jewel Change, Ark, Long Live Summons and some kingdom building novels like Elf Tensei, this novel is recommended by me. <<less

I hate to say it, but it's actually not bad.
TL:DR: If you hated Rot3K and Diablo II, you'll definitely hate this.

Yeah he's a Mary Sue. But like any proper story, There's Always Someone Stronger.
Yes it incorporates/steals/fanfics various ideas notably from Diablo 2 but also Saint Seiya, and lesser so some other specifically Asian pop culture references of that time period... But even ignoring how its blatantly stolen/borrowed/used, its actually, not a bad element to the story.

If it were NOT "Diablo 2" but an honest to goodness 'creation' instead... more>> of 'recreation', then I doubt there'd be this many bad reviews.

It's written with Action and Atmosphere as the central points of telling various parts of the story. There's quite a few subtleties in things left unsaid that actually benefit the story more than one could think. I'm willing to bet the writer took inspiration from DBZ as well based on how the fights go. (a LOT of back and forth cliff hangers and trump cards. mixed with the obvious smackdown to showcase obvious strength is obvious). As far as atmosphere, well, there's a LOT of crowd reaction to the rise of a deity if you will. to constantly remind you they're larger than life. A common trait of traditional chinese stories actually.

The only possible downside I can think of besides the plagiarism is the fact that it's to its core, a Chinese Novel, and with it comes story telling, mentalities, turn of phrase, and common sense that might be off-putting to those unversed in Chinese Heritage.

As far as I'm concerned, if you enjoy Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Diablo II, you'll have a good chance of enjoying this. Conversely if you hated both, you're going to hate this read. Frankly the addition of Saint Seiya irks me, but its minor enough not to care. <<less

Love this novel! The MC and his people are so likeable and using Diablo as a power catalyst for the MC is very original and fun, well done author! Great story and fun to read.

That being said, the author's naming sense is extremely cringeworthy and make my toes curl. XD - but I guess that's just the author's own fascination/obsession with American celebs...

Amazing!

Recomended read to any whoe REALLY want an OP character that just overpowers everyone. Machismo to the bone. He knows what he wants and he wants it yesterday.

I might sound s*upid by typing these words but I typed what I was feeling. I read this and I loved every second of it. The naming sense is a bit on a funy side but I would look past it and go for it.

I am quite glad I stuck with this novel. Initially like most I questioned the use of the Diablo setting in this novel as gimmicky and it seemed so for a couple chapters. After the initial chapters though this novel really takes off with character development which is the single best aspect of this novel in my opinion. This saved the novel for me as the novel is told from the point of view of these characters which makes the rest intresting. The novel also throws in some kingdom building... more>> which I happen to be a fan of but it's not consistent enough for that to influence my review. Overall the setting worked out better than you would initially expect and with the good character development this novel is worth a read. The downsides though are really obvious. The setting while actualized well is corny and while I can undstand giving an MC an advantage in a novel I don't agree with the choice of it. Keeping this novel from ever getting five stars from me. That said if we get a proper reason why the Diablo universe is connected to the MC then this limitation of mine can be lifted but until then I am unwilling to rate this novel higher than four stars. <<less

This LN is very good.

There is game element in the game world and different power system in the real world with MC having various different classes' character.

The real world with the game world is equally interesting.
