It's painfully average. It hits on everything these dungeon crawling Korean novel hits on:

    1. Cold, calculating MC
    2. Cast of side characters that do nothing but obey the MC
    3. MC with necromancy abilities
    4. Status screen that means absolutely f*** all
    5. 72 demon lords of solomons
    6. Dungeon crawling
Seriously there's nothing original here. It's bland, it's dry, it's repetitive.

Not sure what chapter it was, but at an early point in the story you start feeling like you've read all this before. Just maybe with even more bland characters and world building this time... and than he announces hes aiming for the hidden class.... you guessed it Necromancer... Goes even more bland been there read that before from then on. Got to especially point out that the author puts league of legends game mechanics and reincarnator plot points in one boring package.

Do not fall for the 5/5s. Those guys... more>> are either first timers to the genre or brain dead pay pigs. <<less

If anything, the word choice is bland. I'm just feeling like it is too much of a self praising to the MC, making the other casts incompetent to prop the MC.

For example:

(1) The monsters’ attack patterns were simple. He could probably take on all hundred of them by himself.

... more>> Seeing Woohyuk take down several goblins all by himself, spurred others to join in. However unlike him, they would gang up on a single goblin in order to take it down.

(2) Thankfully, the overall casualties were relatively low since Woohyuk had handled the majority of goblins by himself.

this is early chapter, since he is a time traveler this is okay. But, there are a lot of sentences like this. There's simply no character development for Woohyuk, as almost everything is concluded without a climax, and often told in the tone that trivialize the experience.

There is also sentences like this:

(3) Despite the grueling schedule, his party members followed his instructions without any complaints. It was all because of their firm resolve in joining him in the first place.

Firm? Honestly, I'm doubting it. There is no show of their conviction so far. Also, the word because cropped up so often that I am tired reading it. It felt like an unsatisfying way to read it, that I feel like asking the author to show instead of tell. The word because is one that show up often, usually to depict this supposed "fact". It will usually relate on why the main character can do things too, or how the outcome of some event done by main character is such and such. I just feel that it is unnecessary. <<less

This is one of those goes back into the past and gets stronger with past knowledge novels. These kinds of novels do their job, where if characters are interesting they can become a guilty pleasure even if you know it's not a great novel, but this was just disappointing.

I gave it a shot it was okay first 20~? Chapters, very basic and generic but there were some slightly interesting things happening. The quality of writing took a nose dive afterwards, it the first 20 chapters was a 3/5 just for... more>> being a basic generic novel of the genre. Everything after that was a 0/5, it's like the author just gave up on writing the novel and it became tiresome to read. <<less

Edit from after the demon god arc:

The novel took a turn for the worse and became horrible, I dropped it, the author rushed the demon god arc and everything after that while also doing a terrible job at book keeping what the hell the MC actually owns, the story just nose dived when we reached the demon god arc, I don't recommend reading the story after you reach floor 100 of the Twilight Tower (Demon God Arc)

Original:

I put my thoughts about the story on wuxia world, so here... more>> is a short version. It's entertaining and has a good MC with not so bland characters. I love these types of stories, reading over 400 chapters of reincarnator and 200 chapters of king of the battlefield burnt me out on these types of stories, or so I thought, but I actually loved this novel and you probably will too if you liked either of those 2 novels.

Goes to the past, something something death game world, s*upid name Woohyuk seriously? Is this how it's translated? Because in our language this means Puta or bit*h in english, anyways it's a VERY Generic story that it's boring like hell.

Be warned:

MC is just your typical K-pop beta MC meaning a Military guy with a tragic past and wants to change the past. Confusing? Good, because that's the story in a nutshell.

This story is what you'd get if you plugged all the other stories in the genre into an AI and had it write a story based on them.

Nothing new, no real characters or plot and no creativity in storytelling, but nothing really egregious besides maybe the pacing, which is hot garbage. I mean it too, the tutorial arc is less "tutorial" and more "holy sh*t wtf is happening".

The more I read this novel the more it feels like I'm eating a burger from a fast food chain that was made poorly. It has the common KR ingredients but it's like they didn't cook the burger well enough. In other words it's raw, maybe if they took some more time to make me care about the characters or have something to make me root for the MC this wouldn't be happening but unfortunately it's lacking. Do bear in mind I really want to like this novel but I'm... more>> not sure I can really push myself to read up to the current translated chapters. With how it is. <<less

I haven't read much of it, but it is very good, now that it is getting translated, it surely will get more popular.

While having a very familiar setting the MC is very focused, doesn't try to be cool or anything, the beginning is very similar to ''The King of the Battlefield'' but it is a very enjoyable read, highly recommended

Edit: I really believed this would be an awesome novel, and in the first 30- or so chapters it was. But then it progressed too fast and leaves details where it... more>> isn't needed and doesn't where it should be detailed. It also hops on all kinds of popular trends, for example: Regression (acceptable), cook, necromancer, angel, demon... the thing is "The King of the Battlefield" was all about this and it isn't written good enough to be seen as anything but a bad copy. The biggest reason this evolved into sh*t was because of the time-skips.
Spoiler

In the tutorial area there is a tower with 100 levels which he tried to beat in his previous life. After some time preparing he manages to get to the last 5 levels. BIG PROBLEM: He supposedly was in one of the levels for 2 WHOLE years, nothing is said about it, all we get is "broken" (OP) gear and nothing is said about those two years. Maybe I missed something, or in future chapters it will get explained, but that already formed a plothole big enough for me to dislike this novel.

Later on I found out, the author is the same as Dungeon Predator. I don't think there is much to say after that. <<less

I'm satisfied. Similar to The King of The Battlefield and Colussus Hunter.

Love those novels and since this is basically a mix of Reincarnator and Colussus Hunter, it's pretty enjoyable. The plot mechanics are similar too, like Solomon's 72 demon lords. Very fun to read and translated beautifully. It's not the best, but it's reasonable; I like it since it's likewise the same as the tr*sh of the Count's Family, but with an added genre of all that is Korean.

Action and Op mc; if you like an OP MC then don't... more>> read; I would recommend the tr*sh of the Count's Family to you though. <<less

the story is really good, basically, humanity (and all other races) are forced to participate in trial after trial with the purpose of all the divine thrones (basically godhood) being refilled after a rebellion by the gods against 'the creator'. The main character is the strongest ruler, but for some reason, he (along with everyone else) hasn't received the qualifications to challenge the divine thrones and, judging he won't be able to hold out against his enemies, he uses an item to go back in time to when he was... more>> first summoned, with the purpose of doing everything perfectly.

with other novels of this type, the main character is a loner with overwhelming power who is plotted against by everyone else, sometimes taking in a talented girl or group who despite not existing in their first life, quickly becomes the strongest in this one. But in this novel, while he is overpowered, he's not a loner, he's a ruler who can judge people and selects his teammates carefully and is able to read others well, being able to dodge his enemy's schemes. But it's not like he only thinks of his teammates, he also considers the larger picture (though at 14 chapters it really hasn't come into effect)

all in all, good read completely recommend <<less

10 chapters in, liked the premise and it was copied (nothing original) but since I like these type of novels, it worked for me..

Only problem is 'protag coming back from future to past is a plothole'

4.5 as of chapter 34

Not yet too far but no apparent flaw and an above average writing.

The premise is still the same cliche Korean genre, dungeons, trials, tutorials, back to the past.

Unlike Japanese that takes time to introduce characters or Chinese that copypaste characters (or introduce them only for a few chapters and forgotten to pad the word count), Korean counterparts tend to cut things short to thats why readers are sometimes left unsatisfied for character interaction. So far, MC is in control of the whole situation so it might... more>> seems boring but actually better than a whole percentage of novels around.

Lets see how it will fare in the future

Edit: 3.5 as of now <<less

Its your standard MC gets a second chance in a fanatsy world kind of novel. With all the standard aspects and nothing else.

While reading I often found myself wondering if I skipped a couple of Paragraphs or not.

For example MC will say im gonna head towards this boss now after a Short Rest and then the next line is an item drop from that boss. And they will never mention anything about the fight.

Also MC gets way too powerful way too fast.

Spoiler

he can easily demolish any human after the tutorial even the hundreds of year Old people on the Continent he goes to. On top of that he can fight demon kings immediately after the tutorial so you know there is nothing that will ever go wrong
