This novel is too tiring to read. The further the plot goes, the more inexplicable the characters become. Characters that thoroughly disgusted and disappointed me:

  • Han Jianye. Brainless unrecyclable tr*sh.
  • Uncle Huo. MC saved him but he gaslit & threatened her so he could train MC's daughter
  • Yuchen. I'm annoyed that she was lauded as a genius. In critical moments, she was useless. I couldn't suspend my disbelief that she willingly had a child with her enemy. Stockholm syndrome.
  • When it got to Ye Shi & Qiu Shi, I didn't care anymore
  • Yan Wushuang was a tyrant with no moral bottom line. It's disappointing because he had the same circumstances as ML but they chose two extreme paths.
  • MC was too lenient from the get go. But for someone who didn't want to be bound by reputation, she had too many scruples. The more power she got, the more constrained she became. It wasn't fun reading it.

I just got tired of people betraying MC, persecuting MC without her fighting back, MC risking her pregnancies, etc. Just tired.

It's a nice story with nice translation. This is one of most humanistic novel I've read. The way the character is not always good but not always bad is one of the big traits for me. The MC are smart and calculative, she doesn't meddle on something or trying to achieve a big thing, she knows which to go for and to let go. Up till know I still hasn't met the ML candidate yet, but maybe it were the YQ guy, idk. So far I did recommend this novel, as the little MC are really cute, but with the 2000 chapter ahead idk how this novel will go. I've read those who had an amazing start but get dragged till it got so low both in plot or character, so tbh I kinda don't expect many thing from this one. But if it were until this chapter I had read I would give it a 5 star, as the writing and translation are very nice.

this novel is amazing, seriously the Fl, side charaters and even the villains are well written (the ML is only mentioned in some chapters but trust me you will not mind his ''absence'' lmao)

I thought it was short on each chapter, comments also stated how good and detailed the background and plot are, but there's a limit on it. I mean take an example of movie/drama or variety show, although there's a lot of funny/exciting moments, due to need being cramped into certain length air time, that's edited and presented nicely within standard airtime. It's not talking about biography of a real person but telling a unique/interesting story of a person of their golden time

I started reading this because someone compared this to Malicous Empress of Military Lineage which is my absolute favorite.

The plot is very good and the characters don't make s*upid mistakes. The rebirth really did give her an advantage over her life but not in an absurd way.

Also, I'm on chapter 127 and I can count on my fingers the chapter the ML was in. ? So don't expect romance yet. Although I'm not sure how that will happen at this juncture. ?

This novel is one the best I have read on this platform. Very logical and reasonable plot progression takes place. No event occurs out of the blue, it is very well written. Although I mltd the rest of it, this novel has left me with a great impression. Kudos to its writter.

It didn’t quite manage to catch my interest. So, after five chapters, I ended up dropping it. I might try to read it again another day, when I’m looking for a slower paced work like this one. (The novel starts before her rebirth, but quickly shifts to when she’s four (?) years old.)
