Shen Dongqing was a powerful, thousand-year-old ferocious ghost. He had just possessed a body and barely managed to relax for two days when he was pulled into a world where hundreds of ghosts were running amok.

On the first day of being pulled into the Infinite Nightmare Game:

Hmm it's alright, just a little boring because the MCs are way too OP. I like the premise of MC's character, where he's kinda dense-dumb but a super powerful ghost himself, but it's kinda boring how he's way too powerful. Add in a ML who is also cover-the-sky-with-one-hand and it makes the story somewhat boring...

I imagine this is still considered the introductory arcs and they'll be facing some real troubles in a bit, but the idea is that our mains solve these "clever" logic puzzle games with brute force. If... more>> they keep bulldozing through everything, it's gonna get irksome. For now, it's still pretty okay. <<less

Fluffy horror with lots of comedies. Lol, both ML and MC are super op. They both have supernatural powers thats will explain in the ends. There’s actually have mysteries to be solve as always but MC prefers the straight talk or just believe in science. Lol. ML just dotes dotes and listen to wifey. It’s a straight cliche horror game but with comedic situations abundance. Even though there’s alot of cliche stories its fun to read. Thank you

Just read chapter 76 and I have to say this story is pretty good. The twists to each of the instances, the comedic factor with the MC’s personality, the cute romance between the MC and the ML, the hints of MC’s background and history, and the world building and mystery of the Game all blends together to make for an interesting story. Each part makes me hooked enough to want to read more. I can’t say I would reread but I would definitely recommend!

If you want a serious read, scary and full of bizarre twists, this is probably not for you. That said, I love this story from the heart. Finally a story with survival games where romance is not just a background prop and really matters in the plot! It is a survival game with romance indeed.

Another thing I love is the fact that the MC is not the cold and calculating protagonist of most novels of this type, Baby Shen is adorable. Even being OP his personality is fresh air in... more>> this environment. And no, he's not a Mary Sue and he's not an idiot, he just treats everything like a non-human trying to learn to be human, dealing with everything while having fun with human inventions and food.

So no, don't expect challenging moments (although there are one or two), because the summary itself already implies that the story is about an MC OP on vacation in a world of survival games. So don't complain because it's not a "serious" story. Despite that, I like the plot of some instances.

ML is very good too, definitely OP and always helping MC when needed, but there is no power game in their relationship. Both are strong in different ways. I'd say ML is the brain and MC the muscles (although ML is pretty strong too). As for their relationship, ML is basically "ok ok go have fun" while smiling exasperatedly at MC and his quirks.

There are people who don't like when ML helps MC in this kind of plot, but I love the dynamics of the two, they face everything together and end. They are already partners for an eternity, there is no need to let one do everything if the other is right there, ok? <<less

  1. Pros: - Cute MC

    - Interesting and unique arcs

    Cons:

    - Most if not all side characters are braindead. Even the experienced players don't come off as experienced.

    - MC is all brawns and no brains, relying on ML for the IQ segments of the game. All MC thinks about is either food or the ML.

    - ML is too OP as always. (MC too but at least it's only the fighting portion)

    - Overusing jokes, became dull after a while.

    E.g:
    Spoiler

    - MC and ML showing affection during the games=turning a horror movie into a romantic comedy.

    - MC prioritising food over game clearance. (Or not getting the point)

    - MC bashing open locked doors.

    - MC lecturing ghosts=when did this become an education channel?

    - Side characters lying down and winning because of MC and ML.

    - When it's normal players, the ghosts chase the players, but when it's the MC, it's the MC chasing the ghosts.

    - Using violence to extort information.

    That's about all I can remember.

    Overall it is a decent novel, nothing to fuss about. I would have rated it lower if it weren't for the interesting concept each game had. Translations were well done too, thank you translators.

It's adorable! I sped read 95 chapters in only three days. The infinite flow background where there are scenarios to be played is merely that--background. The focus? The fluff between our two main characters. ^_^

I like that, although dense, the MC is not any kind of wilting flower... he can very much hold his own. And the ML is the same in that he can easily hold his own, but is also very doting towards the MC.

All I can say is, thank you for translating, I just hope that someone would pick this up, with better translation skills than the MTL novel...

I'm really totally into this novel... Like I love the comedy and opness of MC and ML, and their sweet love, so I hope someone translates this novel....

Oh right, can anyone tell me where'd you read this novel's other translations? Is it really only CG and MTL novel? Please tell me.... Thank you

Pros :

Cute MC, MC is a ghost lord and a foodie. MC identity is actually a game's big boss and he will eventually go back to his own game. ML is very doting to MC, they acted like an old married couple in the later of the story.

Translation quality is superb. It's done by CG afterall.

Cons :

Sometimes MC too op?? And some arcs feels meh, still I wouldn't mind re reading this one.
