At first I thought this story will be plain, but the more I read this story, the more in love I be...

This is the most loveable storyline about ABO, although the set up story is about rebirth and omegaverse, this story never upset me in terms of the development and the growth in every characters.

I came to this story before it finished, that make me really upset because I keep on refreshing this novel updates platform just to see whether there is new updates on this story... Really challeges my... more>> temper... Fortunately the translator update it mostly everyday, bit still it does not satisfy my needs in this amazingly story...

For those who still surveying by reading reviews, I highlh recommend this story, really worth it. Trust me you will be ADDICTED and wants more for this story <<less

Started with a good plot, ended with weird end...

It was happy ending but unsatisfactory...

It start with high expectation & good plot until chapter 50 but end with weird & low.

Don't really know how to describe it without giving any spoiler but well............ at least the first 50 chapters are good (:

THIS. NOVEL. IS. SO. GOOD.

I love this story so far. I'll be honest, up till c28, the story is slow paced and contains a lot of unnecessary details that will bore you and make you want to stop reading so I would say up till this chapter, the novel is a bit like a slice of life but AFTER it is where all the real shiz begins. It gets SO addicting that I binged read all the way up to completing it in 3 days. I'm so glad I kept... more>> reading, cuz the romance and chemistry of the couple is so good, the fluffiness amount is just perfect and I absolutely adore how kind and hard-working the MC is, the face-slapping so far is perfect and when the MC raises the army of the undead and becomes revered as a kind of immortal that descended bcuz of his abilities, that's my fav part.

Spoiler

Also turns out the MC and ML were a couple in the past life and the ML seems to be the god of the underworld in that past life and MC was a prince and son of the Jade Emperor iirc. Been a while since I finished this.

[collapse]

Oh and the mix of genres (ABO, interstellar, reincarnation and ancient Taoism) might seem weird but later in the novel it's so good and is very interesting and new. The MC builds the army of the undead and basically reconstructs the underworld and starts a business there which is hella successful and basically helps the ML's planet (the planet where the two of them r residing in on currently which is Earth but since it's 500 years after the disaster that caused humans to migrate to new planets, it's a little environmentally damaged and under-populated) to flourish it to its former glory. Plus originally he was hated (cuz of the original host's personality) but later he becomes highly respected and sought after and many people become jealous of the ML for having the perfect little wife?? <<less

So. I would give the story a solid 10/10 in terms of fluffiness and likable characters. But a 6/10 in terms of plot. The story line can be boring and frustratingly unrealistic at times and the romance is just thrown at us.

Note that by unrealistic I mean the characters actions and the plot itself seem contradictory at times.

That said. The story is much much better than the description makes it sound (like other reviewers already pointed out). It's a genuinely cute romance story about a powerful spirit summoning bottom who... more>> falls in love with our mischievous top. And uses his powers for good and shit. Cliche and cute. <<less

I'm already in C26 and I'm deliberating if I should drop reading this or not. Frustrated about how slow the story progresses and how dull the relationship between them is. I hope there will be more sweet and doting moments after this point.

4.5. Interesting buy there are plot holes but won't really impact the story anyway. I was concern with the Heart of sparrow or something, I forgot. It was actually forgotten in the story lmao. Anyway, good read still.

A great read!

It was such a light, fluffy, funny and chillaxing read!

I enjoyed it!

... more>> It's what I would categorise in the light-hearted, fluffy, sweet, funny novel list. Unlike the reviews I read before starting the novel, I personally didn't feel that it dragged on unnecessary elements. It was a completely chillaxing and lovely read for me. So, I'm glad I read this lovely novel.

Keeping it short, I loved the storyline! I loved the world setting which had a good touch of fantasy elements. I loved the protagonist characters and disliked the antagonist characters (which is as it should be, I guess lol).

What I loved about/in the novel:

  • The characters
The protagonists; MC Le Yao and ML Xu Yao (and their five buns), side CP Yan Jie and Yang Hengtian, the undead (which include MC's friends, the Flying Wolf soldiers, ML's parents etc), General Guanfeng and his wife Ye Linran, the Yang family, the Emperor and Empress and many others...

As for the antagonists, I dislike them. The MC's original body's family were a bunch of scums, and man am I glad that their faceslapping was so satisfying! Hmph, a good riddance! Other villains include the Davis family (who didn't make that big of a splash and were dealt with quite easily) as well as the Wan father and son duo who colluded with Orc enemies (they also were dealt with in due time).

  • The storyline
The ABO interstellar world with supernaturnal/metaphysical elements were a fresh original concept. A complete novel experience for me, so I enjoyed it alot! It had a touch of fantasy elements as well with the later additions of MC and ML's past lives and divine Celestial identities, which is not bad. In fact, the supernaturnal underworld build-up was quite fun to read, lol. I never knew that businesses could be introduced and expanded to such an extent in the underworld, rofl! I must say, that this novel brought such a fresh concept and the author developed it nicely.

What I noted about this novel:

  • The title and summary
To be honest, this is NOT that much of a biggie, but since it does mislead readers, I decided to point it out like the other reviewers. Unlike what the title or the summary indicates, the storyline has very little to do with red flower agreement. In particular, the red flower agreement aspect only comes in a couple chapters before MC's estrus period. But, please don't let this point deter you from enjoying this lovely novel.

Personally, I feel that this novel is totally worth reading for a chillaxing, no-brainer, light and sweet fluffy experience.

Nevertheless, Thank you to the author-sama for this lovely novel! A special Thank You to Chrysanthemum team, including translator-sama, Frozenmirage and Editors-sama, Noks and Qiuxue. Thank you for your hard work and effort.

Anyways, I highly recommend this novel!

Please give it a try cause I feel those, who enjoy the ABO, interstellar and/or metaphysics troupes, won't regret reading this novel!

Wishing everyone a Happy Reading. <<less

3, 5 stars.
I really enjoyed the novel! The summary definitely needs to be fixed, but I really liked the characters.

Plus for once the MC confesses his identity to the ML quite quickly which I like. Also, this definitely is fantasy/ sci fi which was quite awesome, ... more>>

but on the other hand, no other alien race has this ability ? So that being said some world-building didn't quite make sense and as always when myths are involved whoever is writing it always forgets to mention other ethnicities' myths. So we have the Chinese gods, but what about the Indian/ Japanese / Greek/ Romans etc.? Why the only ones that could save the Underworld are them?

Anyway, it was really enjoyable when you don't pay attention to the details. <<less

Agree with someone who said it has nothing to do with the red flower because they just had it in several chapters and did not do something big to the story, this story is so fluffy, the one who said, it was illogical for ML to fall in love with MC you need to read it until the end, and pls lower your IQ a but for enjoying this story, for me, they had a bit illogical setting and still ok with it.

This was... ORIGINAL. Lol. It starts off as an Interstellar ABO, and then quickly adds supernatural elements. Having never read a Chinese ghost hunting novel before, I liked the originality. Then they added celestial rebirths. I actually preferred when the MC was the only one with "supernatural gifts", but their past was very moving, and the author tied it together fairly neatly.

The only thing I didn't like was the pairing off of the eldest baby. Like bro, he was just born, hold the reproductive horses.

I agree 100% with Lea168's review and I'd prefer to give this novel a 3.5/5 instead of a 4.

The story is not consistently good. There are parts of the story where the plot is progressing, but the actual events that are happening are really boring. There's a lot of genres in this story (supernatural, Chinese fantasy, interstellar, etc) and that's not inherently a bad thing, but the story does a lukewarm job at writing each genre. It's unsatisfying to read and leads to a lot of inconsistency in the plot.

When... more>> the story is good, it was great. I couldn't stop reading it. But closer to the middle/2nd half of the story, I began to skim through the less interesting parts. Some aspects of the story became really predictable because the MC/ML are all powerful in every way, which isn't uncommon in other stories, but even the manner in which MC/ML overpower the villain (s) became predictable and not as fun. Oh they're gonna draw a rune and it's totally gonna wreck their shit, alright.

The romance and the things MC does for ML is really sweet though!! That's what keeps me from rating a 3 instead of 4. The feelings of attraction that appear between MC and ML feel realistic and it's fluffy without being pointless. Really great and it wasn't lacking in that area, just more general plot-wise lol.

I'd still recommend this story, but the plot isn't anything to write home about. It's way too messy. <<less

Le Yao was kind of pitiful in the previous world and he is kind of powerful.. The couple is a smart, powerful couple and I just like it..I really didn't expect they are lovers in the previous life and their identities.. The children are cute especially the eldest son and I really liked this novel..

First half is somewhat of a black bellied ML playing with MC on the palm of his hands which did not give me a good feeling since I hate this trope the most (It did tone down after a few couple chapters) . I considered dropping it but opted not to and found that it was quite interesting.

MC has supernatural powers on a futuristic world which is definitely inchresting. I liked how he was powerful on that field, like, ML is powerful on military matters, MC is powerful on metaphysical... more>> matters— itd almost as though they're equal... Until its not. Around 3/4 in the novel, ML suddenly became 'better' than MC to more powerful on whats supposed to be MC's specialized field.

I found that rather annoying, can't we have an MC that's just on equal with the ML? Why does it have to be that ML is more powerful than MC always?

It was good, but that part really put me off so 3.5/5 :/ <<less

Felt the concept was new for novel. It was quite unique. |^_^|

The summary was misgiving story wasn't like that. MC reincarnated from earth to future in another ABO planet. ML was strong, protected and loved MC; same goes for MC. As the story goes by they unfold many secrets and their past lives.

Evildoers got what they deserved and their past secrets and misdoings was unfolded. The side couple was also cute and sweet. ML and MC's children had little story too.

Satisfying and Worth reading. இ﹏இ

The fluff is cute and so was the little bun. The author kind of ruined it with all the plot points that that were either forgotten or had a bland outcome. There were so many plot points with potential, but the author failed to bring these plot points together and the novel ended up with a convoluted mess. Below is a list of the major plot points that were introduced early on in the series. (Their role in the novel and how they ruined it)

Spoiler

The war against the orcs - Even before the start of the series, the ML was defending the nation against the orcs. The MC had a major role in using his knowledge of ghosts to help the ML in warfare. The most ridiculous part of this conflict is that we don't even know who the orcs are, much less their reasons for fighting with the ML. The background of the orc race is never explained. Nor was there ever a proper resolution. Nor did the orc leaders ever make an appearance.

The scheme behind MC and ML's engagement - It was implied early on in the novel that there was some tampering with the MC's matchmaking. The MC's original intended match does appear in the novel (he turned out to be a minor 1D villain) but the schemer is never found. We never learn the purpose behind the tampering. The author basically over complicated the engagement, leading the whole matter to a dead end. The author should've just omitted the entire scheme and just kept things simple as just a lucky match.
The MC's family - It's basically a lot of face-slapping with the 1D villainous family members. Sure, face-slapping is satisfying to watch, but it's also very off-putting for family conflicts to resolve in such an impersonal way. There's just no emotions or any self-reflections that would provide a proper conclusion. I would've at least like to see the MC and his father have a proper talk. Instead, his father gets stripped of his status, his wife becomes mentally ill, his other son gets imprisoned, and they all just disappear.
[collapse]

If the author just kept it as a simple slice of life ABO novel, then I might've given it a higher rating.

My advice: Just skip the "plot" and just read the fluffy parts

First of all, the title and synopsis are insignificant in the flow of the whole story - they just took 1-2 chapters of the novel then no more additional mentions about it. Why was it the title in the first place????

Next, although I've read books with undead, ghosts, and metaphysics elements as a side plot, it's my first time to read a story that revolves and uses these as the main plot. Quite a novel experience, and I would have enjoyed it a lot more if not for the confusing... more>> sudden reveal of the hidden pasts of the characters, some plot holes, and oversimplified solution to conflicts. Maybe I've expected too much after reading all those good stories, or maybe it's a given since the characters are somewhat 'gods vs mortals', but it still left an unsatisfactory feeling in my mouth.

After reading this, I can confidently say that this is not my cup of comedy. It feels like the author is forcing the story to go down the comedy route using the circumstances and the characters' personality but it's not done well. Kinda like you want to finish a cup of hot coffee in one go at noon summertime - really should not force it even if you want to. I only tried to finish this hoping that the fluff between the main couple could salvage my remaining enthusiasm towards the story but sadly, no.

As for the translation quality, I didn't need to say anymore - this novel is posted in CG, so you can be assured of the good translation quality and their accompanying helpful footnotes. Maybe this aspect could also help you tolerate the story if you are like me. Great job Frozenmirage!

Lastly - overall rating: 2.4. <<less

This story is very simple and easy to read plus the translation is amazing! So if you want to read something simple and cute you will definitely love this!

But yes like other people said.. the title doesn't seem really anything to do with the content of the story.. so let me summarize the story for you.. (may contain spoiler~)

Spoiler

so our MC (Le Yao) is a transmigrated soul from 500 yrs ago and he is lika a Wuism (Chinese Shaman) where he can summon spirit and etc... Our ML (Xu Yao) is a great young general the govern the earth, currently in their time (which is year 2525) the earth is unsuitable to live in because of the global warming and everything the climate have changed so most of the population of earth live in a planet called Tarot.. so basically this story is about MC and ML working together to protect and improve earth living conditions for both humans and spirits (people that died on earth can only stay on earth their spirit couldn't travel beyond it.. so the spirit is abandoned with no one to worship them until our MC arrive

[collapse]

About the little red flowers contract..

Spoiler

okay... There is a contract that appears later in the story.. but they didn't really use that contract at all!!

First because MC is afraid to do the papapa he suggested the the contract to the ML and ML agreed to it.. ML asked MC to sign the contract so later he would print it for MC BUT before he print it he edited the contract from 300 flowers to 3 flowers (our ML is cunning) after MC noticed the change he created a new contract that said ML could only collect 1 or 2 flowers a month.. but later MC got his heat... so basically the contract is useless
