Translation was very good and MTL'd the rest. The ending felt rushed but as someone else said, maybe because it's MTL quality. Nevertheless, it's so funny and just fluffy LOL I dont think of these novels too seriously, theyre just good for the heart especially if youre trying to relax/bored :)) Also felt that the villains deserved more punishment but the fluffiness and comedy saved it for me, hehe.

It's funny and sweet. The ML and FL both have the same system but neither knows about the others. The FLs pretty much dissappears after the first 10 chapters but the MLs is there the entire time. His character is really cold though so his reactions when he's given tasks are great!

This novel, I get the feeling the MC is the ML, since we also get to read ML pov, not always but it's there. And for me, that's the pro for this novel.

One of the the cons is the usual, how the MC brain will get smaller and smaller.

Eventhough with all the cons, I still patiently laughing and reading the novel.

... more>> It's a slow romance, but both of them will fall in love with each other. Very very HE imo.

Another cons is how the system will become the muted background after a while. <<less

I love it!
Rating: 4.5/5

Lessons:
* Never judge a person by other's perspective. See the person and judge for yourself.
* Not everything on the internet is true
* It is naive to think that you can survive without money
* With loads of money comes with great skills to keep loads of money

A lot of funny scenes, especially when ML's struggle to keep his tasks

What I especially love the most is the shift in perpective from the original novel vs the new novel. With the shift in focus between Shen Weiwei and Ji Qingqing with both perspective laid out for us to see. In truth, there is not much difference between the two of them, except that the Ji Qingqing was naive and easily used by others.

I also felt especially elated when the new story constantly pointed out the sht story line of the old novel and how naive it is to think that love would conquer all. Afterall, in real life, there are many variables and that we shouldn't judge people who loves money because we never know what happened behind the scene to make them like that.

The character development is well paced for both of them. From cautious to trusting. I like all of the characters to be honest, well except for the gossip-mongers, but life of a celebrity I guess. Glad that original ML grew up as well, a pity that original FL learnt her heart a little too late. I don't hate original FL because I knew she had to do what she needed to do to get what she wants, but I never want to meet such a person. But the best character in this novel is hands-down, Grandpa Lu. I wish I had such a wise elder ?.

The conflicts was resolved well.

Glad they told each other the truth! And I'm satisfied with how it was resolved and how quick the resolution was. He gave her space to think and acknowledged that her feelings were valid and then went to her as soon as possible to clear up everything, and she chose to compromise.

So many irrelevant but entitled netizens buzzing around the couple. Urgh! Must be hard to be a celebrity.

This is such a fun read. I’m really happy that the FL and the ML got their happy endings. 😊😊 On a side note though, I felt bad for Lu Luting and Gu Shaoyu. At least they grew up from their experiences with the White Lotus.

My favourite CN in this transmigration subgenre in the modern entertainment industry setting.

Maybe because it is one of the books I first read when I was introduced to this subgenre but I just think this one is clearly better than others.

Firstly there is system and it creates funny troubles for Ml.

I like systems specially when this system doesn't make the owner omnipotent.

Secondly FL isn't the tortured dumb kind.

Thirdly FL and ML meets for the first time, meaning ML didn't know og host.

I personally get disgusted when fls ends up with og host's husband or like let og host's kid call her mom, it is just too creepy for me.

That's why I like this story, it is a clean state for both sides.

Also ML is an okay guy. CNs really have low expectations when it comes to mls usually and all the creepy guys considered hot or whatever even if they lock FL or sexually assault her or just basically torture her.

So this ML is okay.

He can be jealous but he doesn't restrict fl, he isn't possessive.

Also their relationship starts pretty fast considering other CNs like FL isn't dumb so she can obviously realize if he likes her or not quickly.

This shouldn't be reason why a book is good but to be honest most CNs have this super dumb fls.

Also FL has personal skills, skipping from the part where she had problems , after those problems passed she could live her life without ml.

This is also a good part cause like most fls just relies on mls in these books even though they tell to themselves they're self reliant.

But this book's FL never says she is self reliant but she actually is.

There are alot of bad parts like how CNs shows interc**rse in books but I guess it is a Chinese thing for female leads to not understand how s*x works or something , I find it annoying but I guess they won't change this...

Also I don't like how the FL is super shy when it comes to physical contact but then again it is a CNs and I guess this is also a Chinese thing...

Like they always like to write this kind of female leads for no apparent reason...

Other than these it's okay.

The book doesn't pass the test (I forgot name of the test but it is about how women talk to each other without talking about men or how many women is in the book comparing the men)

There aren't many side characters and we don't see their personalities but the book is short so it is understandable.

FL and ML is compatible, ML is too workaholic and FL is pretty observant and caring, ML isn't shy so he can take the first step when FL doesn't, FL has emotional intelligence so she gets cues without having millions of misunderstandings, so shortly they're good together.

Among all the other novels in this shared universe, this one may be my least favorite one.

It's not because of the male lead or the female lead. Both of them were great. Lu Lixing had all the brain circuit that a normal human being possess. Ji Qingqing may be a bit dumb-dumb at times but her character was also good.

Both had quite a bit fluffy moments, once the plot picked up.

Even the drama (that I was here for) served its purpose. I just NEED to read these dogblooded novels (within... more>> acceptable logical range) from time to time. And this novel entertained me a lot.

However, the main thing that was a MAJOR letdown for me was the overinterference of the system. I get that the system served as the main catalyst to move forward the romance between ML and FL. But later, the author was just doing too much. It was totally unnecessary.

So, later I started to pretend that the system was just a very, very, bad cupid.

All the supporting characters got their just ending.

The interaction between Lu Lixing and his son, Lu Xingchen, in the last chapter has my heart. Unlike typical chinese web novels, we get to see the male lead be doting towards his son.

All in all, good novel. It may work for you, or maybe not. Who knows🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ <<less

Love this ❣️ give this a try. I just wish there was more fanwais. Anyway, im still satisfied with the ending. ❤️ I read reviews before I start reading this novel. Many says it's unfair for the ML to always follow the system in what to do. That he was forced to do things the system says.

At the start of the novel. I thought this too. I feel like it's not sincere. The FL is falling in love with the ML because of the systems task. But as you read it.... more>> You can understand a bit why the system is giving that task to him. Especially when you read Xiao A's pov. ML just needs a little push. That's the role of the system. Because ML is stubborn and workaholic. If there is no Xiao A. He will be a single dog forever 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 <<less

Edited after completing the novel:

For some reason something came over me and I MTLed it. It's not really my favorite novel, it is quite entertaining though. I don't really like the ML though, and it has nothing to do with the system. It was only until I read the extra that I had to roll my eyes at the ML. The relationship itself is fine, don't worry about the system. It sucks, but if that's your concern then don't worry about it. It is indeed upsetting and it's a legit... more>> concern, but that is something the author has taken into account. My issue is for example, that he isn't as considerate to the FL. I understand he loves her very much but come on... how can such a successful businessman have such low EQ?
For example (I wouldn't really consider this a spoiler since it happened in the extra and it just had the expected development)

The morning after their marriage the FL felt a bit nauseous during breakfast (;)), so Aunt Fei or whatever took her to the hospital while the ML just went to work. Come on?? Ya'll just got married?? Even the employees felt weird about it... it would've been fine if it happened in the middle of the story, but this was already an extra. By that time he should at least take a day off to be with his wife, no? he just got married ffs. (Well ceremonially) The employees felt weird about it even without knowing she wasn't feeling well, wouldn't her feeling unwell be even a bigger reason for them to stay together. I'm not saying that he should abandon his responsibilities, but come on...

Sure, even the system itself said that he loves her his own way, but I still find him annoying. Good that the FL likes him but I don't like him.

All in all, neither of their personalities are particularly charming. They both are very typical leads, they don't really have any charm besides being in an interesting situation that is making them fall in love, the MC being somewhat funny, the romance sprouting between them, and the dumb roaches that pop up around them. Their personalities are just average though. But I guess the scenes are amusing enough. <<less

Synopsis makes it sound like a fluff story, but so far at c75 it's just painful to read. Not much is happening with their relationship and only the ML gets forced to do stuff from the system. MC just does whatever. Thought by this point it would progress a bit.
