umm well I don't know what to say about this novel honestly

everything in it is really wrong. I mean it's not like I get easily disturbed but some chapters in this are on a different level

idk why I kept reading it, it's intriguing so I guess that's its charm? The translation quality is top notch! The first 40 chapters were but then I couldn't bring myself to finish it

anyways u might like it, IF u'Re easily disturbed just DON'T READ IT !

The MLs should die a slow, painful and horrific death.

I can't really find faults in MC coz she does try her best to run away but she just can't coz she is too weak. Physically, status-wise. Frankly speaking, her mental strength is pretty great considering she doesn't go crazy and stab those two bastards to death or su*cide.

Crap book. Great translation for a crap book.

Recommended? Yes

I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, but for me, I loved it. The twisted, cruel parts to the sweet ones. The ending left me a little hanging, I wanted to know if the female MC will ever be able to convince the twins that she really did love them, though I agree she shouldn't forgive and forget easily.

If you have a problem with non-con, there's an awful lot of that in here.

The FL goes through endless physical and mental abuse and her spirit slowly gets killed off as she's isolated from the world.

There are 2 MLs; a couple of rich privileged twins, and they are obsessed with the FL. They are sadistic and abusive and as soon as they don't get what they want- no scratch that, they always get what they want. They control the FL through fear and torture.

The smut scenes are pretty hot, however... more>> they only had like 1 consented one; and that was because she had another objective...

And then once you get down to the story itself it is truly horrifying. These things were always interesting to me though, so I don't mind that it's horrifying even if I have to cringe myself through it.

What disappointed me the most with the novel though, was that instead of having a character development, it's more that our FL regresses and turns unrecognizable. I feel like it would be a terrible role model for others.

The translation was well done and easy get through though, so that's something, but I don't think I can give it more than 3 stars. <<less

This is not just an all smut stories. It's dark. It's depressing. It's torturous. The twins are sick in the head. Nevertheless, they loved MC so much they caged her, restricted her freedom and r*ped her. MC has Stockholm Syndrome. She accepted her fate in the end. Yes, she tried to run away, attempted to commit su*cide but it will end up worse for her. (Because of the twins.) The ending, she had a son. It was not stated who is the father. MC didn't want to uncover the truth.... more>> But in the epilogue, it will be in the son's POV. And it seems that MC is pregnant again. MC ended up with both of the twins. If you really curious about this story you should pay attention to the tags. It really helps. This story has a good plot, the translation is top quality, overall it's good enough for me to read when I'm feeling sadistic. <<less

As its quite a short story as I shall do a quick review under some bullet points with ratings of each area, (Minor spoilers warning) :

Plot (1/5) : The story is a very messed up love story, overall I found the r*pe and torture too much to read at times with the MC having her mind broke by it all. Its a very basic plot overall with little development outside of the MC getting r*ped and broken and the ending feels hollow. Felt more like a p*rn plot than... more>> a novel plot to be honest, a bad p*rn at that with poor smut for those who read for the smut.

Characters (1/5) : There was an attempted to develop the characters but it was limited and the few extra characters that were introduced had little impact on the story.

Writing (4/5) : Well outside of the poor plot and development the writing was reasonably well done although a bit amateurish and feeling like someones fan fic p*rno.

Enjoyment (1/5) : I guess it kept me hooked until the end, but that was mainly me hoping for a happy end which never really came, overall its something I hope to forget and defiantly won't be coming back to it. I recommend to not read this unless you're into BD*M r*pe and fine with a hollow mediocre end. <<less

Personally, this novel is one of my favorites. Although the romance isn't a subtle, slow-burn type, it is sweet because the two male leads like the female lead so much. The author provides a reasonable explanation for their quick obsession with the female lead and, even though their means of obtaining her are borderline inhumane, they do have their gentle ways of caring and loving her which I find quite enjoyable. In my perspective, it balances out the dark side of the story so the reader isn't entirely overwhelmed and... more>> traumatized when reading this tragic love story. The descriptions of the psychological impact of the s*xual abuse on the female lead is amazingly done, not too heavy nor too light, and, since the female lead is a little strong-willed, it creates a nice, easy-flowing progression of the plot. I wouldn't recommend this novel to the weak-minded since it is tagged with several negative connotations that truthfully represent the novel's elements, but, if you like a possessive male lead (especially multiple), a logical female lead (she's depicted as sweetly beautiful and, sometimes, even erotic), a consistent plot line that doesn't disappoint, and a neat read (the chapters are somewhat short), then I would definitely encourage people to give this novel a chance. <<less

The reactions of the MC are really realistic enough. All in all this story made me shed lots of tears, I suggest you read the tags before delving into this novel.

PS: I partitularly enjoyed the translator's commentaries,

I finished the novel. It's a no for me. I'm just not into sadism. The twins suck. I was hoping they would die at the end but no such luck. I love yanderes but they are just disgusting. Sure, they were abused as children and they don't know how to express love but don't they have common sense? Ughhh! I'm so mad

This is very sensitive topic, I hate this topic. But book was well written. Thankfully I read till the last chapter, so try it if you can tolerate the sensitive topic only.

And lastly love really had various colours if we think about it psychologycally.

  • I absolutely don't support this behaviour, and it's just a novel so here I m writing the review. Otherwise no woman should silently tolerate such behaviour. It's absolutely not acceptable. Stay safe. 🙏

S*x scenes: start at c7. Sadistic, abusive and quiet brutal (not detailed though), BUT only until chapter 25, then they all abstinated until chapter 48, resumed with a single s*x scene, then the series end, poof. The middle part of nearly 20 chapters is the most typical drama often seen in TV shows. As you can imagine, I skimmed them all away like the wind.

Story: overall 'aight. The author clearly ran out of ideas after chapter 25. The FL repeatedly acted inexpicably silly for the sake of drama.... more>> The ending is anti-climatic and leaves a bit to desire so don't get your hopes up.

Characters: FL consistently resisted the MLs (twins) until before the end, so it created a lot of "situations" for punishments. She's supposed to be a hardworking, smart and plain college student. Other than that, she's a normal character. MLs are the smart, rich, powerful CEOs type. CEOs-to-be at least, until they were 18. They were 15/16 for most of the stories, 2-3 years younger than FL, but described as having big and mature adult-looking bodies. They're controlling, sadistic, abusive and have huge anger issue (my type hehe).

I mean it's exactly like the tags said (except there's barely any BD*M). It's an average novel with the MC suffering from severe Stockholm Syndrome. The twins are v possessive and obsessive as stated, I just wished the author gave better descriptions of their appearance so I could picture them better, e.g. hair colour, facial features. What left me feeling unsatisfied was the ending and also the MC's illogical behaviour. But honestly the ending is SO bad I nearly gave this 2 stars...

If you enjoy Stockholm syndrome and twin MLs... more>> kind of novel, read this. Honestly I don't get how so many ppl gave this 5 stars bc it barely scraped a pass for me.

I read it all in one go since it was only 50-ish chapters. I'm not usually a fan of "reverse harem" and BD*M types of stories but like a trainwreck, I shouldn't but I couldn't stop. I just had to know what would happen next. It's very interesting and different from what I usually read so I did enjoy it. There are a lot of fetish genres all in this one book and it's not going to be to everyone's taste. Like many have said, read the tags if you... more>> trigger easily.

Honestly, MC had a lot more power over the twins than she realized. That doesn't excuse what they did to her against her will but there are times throughout the story where she was able to use this to her advantage.

When the story started, the twins' were 15, turning 16 and MC was 18. Due to a compromise with the twins, when they turned 18, MC agreed to allow them to publicly claim her as their girlfriend (the twins' drew lots to see who would be the "official" boyfriend). They were together for a decade before getting engaged and afterward married. MC had her first child at 29-30 and her second child at 41.

MC was financially taken care of by them allowing her to go to graduate school, etc. Honestly, this is just a sugar daddy story but the MC is older and there are 2 sugar daddies.

There are many instances throughout where you can tell how deeply the twins love MC but I never got the feeling that MC loved them in return even until the very end. It felt more like she became comfortable and had gotten used to them. It was only after she became pregnant that she really just decided to stop running away. And the reason she gave was that she was close to 30 and should just have a child. <<less

Kept reading 'cause the chapters are short and I was curious to see if something interesting would happen.

It didn't. Tho' the weird jump from like crazy abusive to everything-is-dandy was... interesting.

Characters are very 2-D. I'm surprised the twins' mother didn't throw water in her face. Yan Shui Lin was the most interesting, but still predictable. The twins are too OP. They just "make preparations" (no further explanation) and can control everything and know everything. At least the MC is not excessively dumb. Just slightly. I don't hate her at least.

The plot points are pretty cliche.

You got a brief mention of the tragic childhood of the twins that explains why they're so cruel and don't know how to love. You got the b*tchy rich girl who harasses the MC briefly 'cause she's jealous (she disappears quickly). You got the evil mother who tries to break them up with the arranged engagement. You got the melancholic MC who runs away but hears a monologue from loosely-relevant character about realising your love after it's too late, and so she realises her love.

Ah, speechless. I guess not my kind of kink, especially the last ending when they lock her up in a small room for months. I just feel both ML should just die, and it will be great if MC brought them down and self-destruct together. The good ending not really that good imho.

I've finished this novel but I gotta say, I regret reading it. At first it sucks you in that you can't stop reading it even though everything about it is just wrong, sadistic and evil. The ML's were ugh...... Mental/Psycho and the FL was just plain s*upid with no common sense/ or just experiencing Stockholm syndrome but regardless, I didn't like her character. I would not recommend this to those with the faint heart, it's not worth it. I can handle a lot, but this goes too far. Even the BD*M tag is a misnomer because this is not what BD*M is about. This is trying to use BD*M to make abuse look good.
