Let me preface this by saying, if you're reading this for romance, you can but the several first few arcs not gonna be what you're expected. As several others have said and one of the main reason many dropped this because it's full of angst.
You may ask, why so much angst? Well, if you read the several first chapters, it is stated that the first arc of this novel is not MC's first rodeo. MC is an experienced agent who had been betrayed. She did not trust anyone.
Since many seems to have trouble to get through the first arc, I'm just gonna spoil the first arc. Yes, MC does not love ML in the first few arcs. She's given him two chances to be with her and he ruined both chances. Then, remember that the original host resents the ML for throwing her. So MC did what she did to ML.
I would say this novel IS NOT for beginner in the quick-transmigration genre. Read more QT novels and come back here when you're ready and I think you'll enjoy this. Because this novel has over 5, 000 chapters and I'm at chapter 3, 000+ and still reading it. If you aren't used to huge number chapters like this, you aren't ready for this novel. This novel is unlike other QT novels.
One thing I would like to mention though, I LOVE how ML aren't confirmed to be with her in every world. If he made a mistake, she may choose to not get together with him. Also despite, being together with ML, that does not mean that she'll give her everything to him. Remember, she lived a LONG~ time and she used to be betrayed so it takes time for her to build her trust towards ML.
Honestly, this novel only start to pick up its gear after several more arcs which I don't know how long it'll take for TL to get there.
MC is confident, cool, cunning.
I like that the ML is more like a supporting for just romance and fluff. He doesnt help MC much, and just supports her. I like it because MC is already OP, it wouldnt make sense if she still needed ML to do her task right? ML is shameless and clingy. I think its too much to call him Yandere. He's possessive with MC but never to the point that he will hurt her. He's more like a wolf dog, he still needs the MC's command before attacking lol 😂
I like how MC doesnt even let ML get away if ML's character hurt/schemed the OriHost or MC. Oh boy, he will be pitted 😂. I like how their relationship is not the top priority of MC. Like if conditions are not met, or if ML somehow is not 'behave', they wont get married. Or like MC wont abandon her plan to counterattack or take revenge just to look for ML. ML is really just a side character 😂
I like that she's very vengeful too 😃.
There are quite a few plots that are unique and new to me. Plots that stands out. There are some arcs with nice twists.
That's one of the things that I like about this novel, there will be characters that suprises you. Like, there are characters that seems bad but is actually good. And some are good that are actually bad.
And if there's one thing I dont like here, is that sometimes, to pit a scum fiance/boyfriend/husband, she would choose to stay with them for a period of time. I know she has to, to complete the pit she's digging for them. But d*mn its so annoying. Another downside is that, even after several worlds, they didnt have any children 🙁. Another downside is, I think this is pretty long (not that I dont like it). I mean not alot of people would and can read a 4000+ chapter novel calmly.
