With the marriage of her prostitute mother to the Count, Aria’s status in society skyrocketed immediately. After leading a life of luxury, Aria unfairly meets death because of her sister Mielle’s schemes. And right before she dies, she sees an hourglass fall as if it were a fantasy. And just like that, she was miraculously brought back to the past.

“I want to become a very elegant person, just like my sister, Mielle.”

In order to face the villainess, she must become an even more wicked villainess. This was the new path Aria chose to take revenge on Mielle who mu*dered both her and her mother.

I am enjoying it so much. But honestly it kinda tiring to read it continuously. I needed to take a break every few days before continuing the ride. But all in all it has a very good plot and nicely written. The romance is just so-so but romance is not the highlight. The highlight is Revenge, of course. And it's been months since I finished it so I forgot a lot of the details. So hopefully you guys enjoying it as well

Actual rating - 4 (for the beginning of the novel) and 2 (for the ending), so 3 as average.

Before the novel, I read ~27 chapters of the webtoon and I really liked it. The story was engaging and really well-drawn.

So I went to the novel and start reading since the beginning. I became really addicted with the story. But when I got somewhere near the 70-80% of the main story (not including the extras), I stopped enjoying it. The story became dragged and pointless.

This first part of the novel (until... more>> somewhere between chapters 150-180) was nice because there was a lot of issues to solve and secrets to be revealed. But after that, it seemed that everything was kind of solved
Spoiler

the villains were planning one last stand, but it was so weak and so obvious that it wasn't going to work, that was laughable. And after this, the only thing remaining was to finish the vengeance (and unfortunately the story was so boring by that time, that I didn't enjoy this moment at all). Lastly, this story has that type of ending whare everybody is super happy and everything is perfect for the FL and her family/friends.

[collapse]

Therefore, after these chapters, I was just reading the story so I could say that I had finished it. The epilogue managed to be worse than the main story's end - I took months to finish the epilogue, because it was so boring. It was a story that I didn't want and didn't need to know.

I have this impression in lots of novels that these authors don't really know how to end a story - they solve things too fast and the story keeps dragging instead of finishing when they should - and they definitely don't know how to make an interesting epilogue. <<less

I WANTED TO GIVE 3 STARS but this is my first review so I accidentally cl**ked 2 and don't know how to change it TT

**ALSO I read most of it on MTL so it did fry my brain after a point... hope it helps...

This novel started off pretty interesting, but over time it stretched things out way too much. There could have been a lot more potential in terms of character growth and the relationship between the male and female lead. If you're looking for a book with a lot... more>> of cute moments, this one might not be the one for you. I ended up dropping it just a few chaps before it was completed and may have missed all the lovey-dovey moments, but if you have to wait until the end for them..... then it's a little dragged out.

Here's what ruined the novel for me: the revenge...

Spoiler

The revenge is SO DRAGGED OUT!! I wish after a certain point, she would just give up on getting revenge on Mielle bc homegirl shes always past that point. You don't need to do anything more!! Like to the point where she brings Mielle to her friend's wedding (the teacher who taught her embroidery) just to humiliate her and I just sat there like..... really? Is this necessary

[collapse]

After a point, I just lost a connection with the FL and even the relationship between her and the ML was just bland. I understand that this novel is about revenge, but I think after a certain point, there needs to be an emphasis on the characters and their growth and personality as well. <<less

The story was very interesting and we have a very unique female leas, who is cunning and knows what she wants.

unlike your usual female lead, this one does not care about being a nice and perfect lady and solely lives on taking revenge on the ones who wronged her and killed her mother. She admits it herself, she’s a real villainess.

Spoiler

She easily manipulates people around her to create connection and thus power and has an interested Deux ex machina to help her out. Aka her hourglass which reverses her time for 5 minutes. I really like Aria as a main character she keeps to plot nicely going by manipulating her step family slowly into ruin. While some people were given a better chance, like Annie, the maid who originally was supposed to spy on Aria on Mielle’s behalf but ended up seduced by the devil and switches sides. Aria’s original maid who had stayed true to her until the end and the crown prince who ends up falling in loe with Aria, despite her flaws and wicked character.

[collapse]

I enjoyed this novel a lot, whoever I felt there where a lot of unnecessary chapters that felt more like fillers and I would have preferred to skip them instead.

Overall this is a good read and I definitely recommend others to give this novel a try. <<less

So like I read this because of the manhwa adaptation and the fact that I couldnt wait for it to update so I was like ohhhhh the novels out with all the chapters and a few extras and so I hopped on aboard

Like others I had a really fun time with the first few arcs of the story there were some memorable moments that I enjoyed and overall I had fun

I dont remember the exact moment it went to sheit but but somewhere along the 150+ chapters I started to... more>> feel really burnt out? Like I felt like I was reading the story just to see how it ended (because of how much time I put into this) rather than enjoying the long road up the MC's journey and honestly her character doesnt even develop that much I mean she kinda learns about family towards the end of the novel but thats it

Mini rant:warning

Spoiler

Gosh oscar does not deserve any of this ahg my sweet boy I honestly would have preffered him to be the ML not because I dont like asher but more like it would have been a little more interesting cause I always see the MC in these types of stories to be with the king or the emperor in this case

And I would like to note that the romance aspect is not very good (not that I expected much but still..) the MC and the ML I honestly hve no idea how the ML fell inlove with her nor do I understand how she fell for him I cant really see the turning point is ive read another review that said that after he descovered her identity at the princesses palace he just starts flirting with her and thats it and the way she fell for him? A little out of nowhere

Something to note the MC is not very smart the only reason shes won was because her enemies were idiots and she has time travel

By the end of it public perseption of her has gone to the roof and everyone is under the empression that she can do no wrong and that all who oppose her are tr*sh even people who werent even responsible for making her previous life shet like the count who was demoted to being a commoner and paralyzed or cain who just accepted his fate and became the busboy of the empire then died due to poison anyway and I even started to feel bad for mielle who is the main villain in all this and

im never gonna forget what they did to oscar he did no wrong he just did what his sister told him to do and he's been demoted to a commoner!? Why!? That scene just made me hate asher like you demote someone who confesses to the sins of his family gve you the alibies of the people who worked against the empire why!? Just because a rumor that your honey (who wasnt even aware of who you are) was seducing him to get back at the blcht step sis and you were even mad that he came peacefully because you wouldnt have an excuse to execute oscar

[collapse]

All in all my final review is

Strong start, mildly interesting road, flat and boring end

3/10 in the romance department (no idea how they fell for one another)

7/10in the revenge department (its pretty high because of the beggining moments)

6/10in the villainess rebirth scale would have been higher if it had just ended on the execution of the nobles

Please note that this is not the best thought out review of this novel I was mostly ranting because of the waated potential of this novel goodby <<less

At present, this is one of, if not my favorite rebirth villainess webnovel. Aria, the FL, is true to her past wicked character, however she is taking this second chance at live very seriously. Sure she has flaws, but in her quest to rewrite her fate, she learns about loyalty, family ties, and finally gets to experience what unconditional love is. I was able to appreciate this story a lot more and pickup on the nuances of the FL's personality and actions from reading both the webnovel and the manhwa.

PLOT:

In... more>> her first life, the FL came from a poor background and after moving from living on the streets to being a noble, she was quick to shower herself in the Count's wealth and riches. She never knew any better because no one cared about her enough to guide her on the right path of being a proper lady. She was consistently a victim of her step sister Mielle's schemes, being painted as a troublemaking "daughter of a prostitute" who only knew how to flaunt her beauty... and eventually lost her life because of her s*upidity.

Only at her moment of death did the FL realize that her demise was a result of her own naivety and brashness. She never had the patience to acquire any useful talents and was quick to give up and throw tantrums, which made everyone around her regard her as a wallflower-- beautiful to look and play with, but not worthy to become a official wife.

The FL does not change her personality after the rebirth. She is still just as petty, selfish, and materialistic as before, but she is now willing to do whatever it takes to save herself and prevent the past from repeating. She does not hesitate to use her knowledge from the past life to use the people around her and push her personal agenda. Although some may say that she is reusing Mielle's old tactics and becoming the bully instead, I would argue that she only did what she needed to do to protect herself and her mother. From the start, Mielle was set on ruining the FL and she continuously tries to damage the FL's reputation-- she steals credit for the FL's business ideas, spreads rumors, and even
Spoiler

resorts to harming her own family to frame the FL without any remorse. Mielle never sees what she is doing as wrong and will go to all lengths to harm the FL. I truly believe that if Mielle stopped her vicious thoughts and actions, the FL would have stopped pursuing her revenge, as the FL eventually realizes that the princess and Mielle's head maid were the ones truly behind all the schemes.

[collapse]

At the beginning, the FL is very cautious and tries to only engage in making moves that she knows are safe... until she encounters the ML (crown prince) and their lives become intertwined. The FL is initially extremely distrustful and weary of him, but eventually opens up after amassing her own wealth and being invited to join his secret meetings. She becomes more willing to deviate from the known future and take risks as she gains a personal foothold in society and builds up her own status.

There was a moment in the story where the FL claimed that she didn't deserve praise for just knowing information, but the ML's assistant told her that how she used that information is what shows her capability. I think other readers might have overlooked Aria's knack for business and her economic contributions to the empire. FL helped ML to establish resources for commoners to receive education and prove their worth. FL also invested in many businesses and encouraged women to become more involved with their husbands' work operations. Without her interventions, the nobility would have continued to rule over society and engage in their corrupt ways
Spoiler

If not for FL's advice, ML would have ended up married to that evil bit*h princess and ended up as the puppet of the Aristocratic Party (led by the princess).

[collapse]

I like that the focus shifted from the FL wanting personal revenge to FL learning to love and receive love. By the end, she is not so hell-bent on getting her revenge anymore because she has found other reasons to live for.

ENDING:

I was overall satisfied with the ending, but felt that it was a bit rushed. Everything building up to the finale came together in a few chapters and FL finally got her revenge, however I wished there was an epilogue
Spoiler

to include a few scenes of their life after marriage and future children

[collapse]
There were some loose ends and questions I had, such as:

Spoiler

WTF was the king doing this whole time? He literally didn't even make a single appearance and was barely mentioned. What was the state of the royal family affairs and how/why did the princess amass so many followers among the nobles? What happened to poor Sir Oscar who was just a victim of his oppressive older sister?

I really liked it at first, it was pretty good. The MC was good at using her resources and she wasn’t too dumb or basic. What made this story not as good as I wanted it to be is that the romance was weak. She got frustrated too easily, she was considered a genius even though she didn’t do much. And the biggest problem... it got very BORING at some point. I actually dropped it for a few weeks before I finished reading it.

Overall it was okay, not one of... more>> my favorites, but not too bad <<less

Make no mistake, the 'villainess' in the title means exactly what it says. Aria is a villain protagonist who just happens to be less bad than the target of her revenge. It's nonetheless satisfying to watch because, as she points out later, she lets Miel dig her own grave at almost every occasion and then just gives a fairly proportionate response. As such, it's often easy to forget how cruel Aria is until the end where you realize the author certainly remembers what Aria is really like.
Spoiler

The final fates of the Roscente family, Miel included, are rather pitiful. Aria tricks Miel into mu*dering her brother, who is a bit of a creep but otherwise not a terrible person. Miel herself gets ground into the dirt, humiliated and broken until she comes to adore Aria, only to be set up and betrayed. And then count Roscente commits su*cide at the death of his children and the abandonment of his wife, who tricked him into ruining himself so she could take all his stuff and move up the social ladder.

[collapse]

Despite that, Aria remains a sympathetic character. She didn't choose her background and with this new opportunity is actually improving the lives of a lot of the people around her, even if only for purely selfish reasons. People who end up ruined usually deserved it, such as Miel's favorite maid or Isis, both of whom bear an irrational hatred for Aria. Just not all of them. Because she IS a villain.

I kind of hesitated over whether to give this a four of a five star review but I decided to opt for four because the romance seems a little weak and the epilogue just goes on for too long. I actually got bored and stopped reading about ten chapters before the end because, well, it just. Kept. Going. Past the point where the story was really over.

An entertaining novel with plenty of flaws. What first really attracted me to 'The Villainess Reverses the Hourglass' is its heroine, Aria Roscent, who stays true to the title of a villainess from the very beginning until the end of the series. The whole story can be summed up as 'villain vs villain' and a battle of will and resources. If you're looking for a novel with an unapologetic bad person as a main character then this series might be the one you're looking for. It's a novel with a... more>> lot of flaws but I feel that its unique premise among villainess novels is enough for it to be warranted a try.

The main character is Aria Roscent, a lowborn daughter of a prostitute with an unknown father but blessed with incredible beauty (stated many times in the novel) that is rare among the common rabble. Count Roscent, a business tycoon and one of the richest men within the kingdom, married her mother because of her beauty and nothing else. Aria doesn't get along with her new stepbrother and stepsister, Cain and Mielle and they dislike her as well as her mother for their lowly origin, viewing them as a stain to their mighty family lineage and their father's remarriage a scandal. The count himself is neglectful of Aria and holds no affection for her because she is not his own blood daughter. Aria and her mother has a negative reputation among the nobles due to their lowly and dirty background, an issue that the count nor the Roscent family makes no effort to defend them from. After dying, Aria wakes up to realise that she has been revived and was sent back years before her downfall and with her second-chance to redo everything, she vows to make sure to return the favour to those who have wronged her.

I personally like Aria as a main character and she's 70% of the reason why I started reading this novel. Aria is not a sweet-maiden who 'became' evil, she's an unapologetic b*tch right from the very beginning and she's completely aware of it. She's also conscious of her strengths and weaknesses and she makes sure to use whatever she can take advantage of, unsavoury or not.

Spoiler

What I dislike about her is that for all her conniving and (i guess) intelligence, she still couldn't figure out the identity of a specific important character. Clues are shoved to her face left and right and she even actually comes up with the correct answer, but she couldn't accept it because she believe it to be too ridiculous to be true. The answer glares at her face for a long time until this character actually just unmasks his own identity and only after hearing the truth from his lips does she accept it. It was incredibly frustrating.

I also did not like her ability to turn back time (5 minutes to the past). I feel that it cheapened a lot of her victories and the author used it as a crutch when they couldn't come up with a way for Aria to resolve some things. Granted that it came with its own price and can only be used once per day but really the 'price' for using this ability never really became a relevant issue. It just made her suffer. A little.

[collapse]

The majority of the background characters are well-written enough for me to care about some of them. Most of the nobles are dirty, corrupt and evil on their own, even most of the common people are also selfish and conniving. There are a few handful of 'good' characters, specifically Jessie, Aria's personal maid who was loyal to her until the end of her past life and Sarah, Aria's etiquette teacher whom she ensures to form a strong bond with in her second life due to her future good fortune. I like this novel because it doesn't shove to your face a hundred background characters and it drops enough hints that you will know if someone will be important or not.

The romance doesn't really come up until almost midway of the story.

Spoiler

I'll just be honest and say that the chemistry between Aria and Asher (the love interest) is really poor which is a shame because this is advertised as a romance novel. The character of Asher is incredibly boring and bland, he is someone without weakness or flaw so he is completely uninteresting to me, he also brings nothing new to the table unlike Aria because beautiful, powerful and morally ambiguous male leads isn't new. His 'mysterious' identity was never really a mystery to the readers and he appears sporadically at the first half of the novel. Their affection for each other also felt rushed and felt out of the blue because they never really shared romantic moments together during the few meetings they had. (Or maybe that's just me?)

[collapse]

World building is non existent in this novel so don't bother looking for it. With the premise of the story, it's really unimportant too.
The pacing of the first half of the novel is unquestionably better than the latter half. I felt that the author wanted to get more things done during the second half and began shoving a lot more information than necessary and even included
Spoiler

the mystery of Aria's biological father. I was personally not really interested in it and I felt that it only served as another way to slap the faces of Aria's enemies because it actually proved she is of noble blood. I also believe that not being blue blood was an integral part of Aria's character and appeal as being lowborn was something she was unapologetic for, it was never an issue for her but instead an issue for those who were critical of her. The identity of her father was also not something that she was interested in due to her mother's shady career so the whole subplot just fell flat.

Aria also spends a lot of time as Investor A, an identity she used to make money by making multiple smart investments. In the end, she never really used this identity much and most of the transactions are summarised. It's a shame because it was quite interesting watching her use both her knowledge of the future and business to make money and I was hoping she'd encounter some hiccups to pose a challenge but those never came. Again, even this identity is ultimately used as to slap her critics.

[collapse]

The antagonists are one of the glaring weaknesses of this novel (second only to the lacklustre romance). In the beginning, the battle between Aria and Mielle was quite interesting and entertaining but eventually, as a reader, you will realise that the antagonists are not playing an exciting tag of war with Aria, they're playing a tag of war with her while standing on an upward slope and they're all losing to gravity.
Spoiler

The downfall of the antagonist is inevitable, but a victory without suspense is such a bore. These people suffer multiple loss to Aria largely due to their own undoing and their 'evil plans' that make no sense, it's honestly being generous to just call them s*upid and leave it at that. Perhaps it's also the author's fault for setting these villains up to look so mighty only to watch them stumble their way to the finish line. Also it's worth noting that Aria was executed during her adulthood and reincarnated back to her youth, so she's (mentally) an adult fighting and scheming against Mielle who was WAY younger than her (around 13 years old I think).

[collapse]

All in all this series is pretty entertaining and has both refreshing and exhausting tropes mixed together. It's a title that you will either really like or dislike and it's better to check it out yourself. It's available in webnovel dot com and the translation job is pretty decent. The cost of each chapter is pretty expensive though! <<less

If you like smart, independent, and femme fatale female lead, this story is for you. I can't stop reading it till the end! I liked how the MC plotted to get her revenge. She didn't try to sugar coat it or pretend to be nice all the way to get what she wants. She knows her strengths and she just acted smart in my opinion.

However, the ending is a bit rushed and too convenient for me. It worked out in the end for the MC'S situation, but I wished there... more>> was more fluff and more detail about the MC and ML's love story. <<less

Okay honestly, I don't think this was THAT bad. I started this novel for the satisfaction factor, and I got what I wanted. Just the calculative and intelligent personality of the MC is enough for me - pretty cool to see how her mind works, even if it isn't for the purest motives. Plot is pretty addicting. Other than the MC tho, there are a lot of characters than can be annoying and make you feel conflicted about if you actually like them or not. Basically, if you came here... more>> for a super pure, light-hearted, 100% fluff read then this ain't it because none of the characters are completely innocent. BUT in general I don't think this is the worst villainess novel out there, and again, it was REALLY satisfying for me.

The romance with the main lead is not too bad either - just a little unrealistic. I feel like they would be better off as partners-in-crime, and to be honest the chemistry feels forced at times - I wish that part of the novel would've flowed a little better.

Spoiler

I DO WISH that the MC would have some sort of redeeming quality in her but uh ERROR404 can't really find it. I really hoped that by the end she would at least learn to trust others more and basically be less of a only-doing-it-if-she-sees-the-benefit type of person. But I guess with her past and the way the story needs to be, it's sorta inevitable.

Spoiler

I read up to c143 and it's starting to cool down for me, I'm not feeling it between the MC and ML the "sudden" meetings and the interactions from their meetings are a little confusing and lacking to me. The strongest impression I've gotten from the story so far was about how ridiculously beautiful the MC is. Which is not a bad thing since it's one of her strongest weapons but wow I've never read anything that talked so much about how enamoured others were with a characters looks so consistently in almost every chapter. All in all it's been a decent pass time read I hope I can make it to the end.

It is not great but it is not bad either, it is a nice entertaining story to lose time.

It does however have an extraordinary thing, the MC is a true villain and after her rebirth she gets better... at being a villain.

She is conscious of her own wicked nature, and also of the wicked nature of the ones she seek revenge from, because her revenge is against those that were better villains than her in the past. Really it is story about a bad person fighting other bad people.... more>> Her story goes all through a typical character redemption story, but you see what she thinks and none of the good deeds are done for good reasons. Everything has a purpose, and that purpose is revenge from the beginning to the end.

It is a refreshing point of view, that's for certain. <<less

To be honest, I read upto chapter 50 only for the Oscar chapters (those were strangely entertaining). But because those were the only parts I didn't skip, I realized that I wouldn't be able to finish this novel, at least not while enjoying it.

Unlike a few other readers, I really liked Aria's character. She was a true villainess and it was quite refreshing. However, that wasn't enough to hook me onto this story. Maybe I'll pick it up again one day, but for now I think this much is enough.

Bitter and cruel, yet tender and sweet... I liked it! ☺️

The MC's plotting can be a bit unnerving since she pretends to be a good person while doing little nasty things. But her vulnerablility to her past make her just likable enough. Eventually she slowly becomes the good person she pretends to be... mostly.

And the ML is of course hiding his true identity like every ML lead seems to do in these stories. But I love how much he flaunts dating her. He's got the whole "THIS IS MINE, BACK... more>> OFF B*THCES" vibe going while parading around the city. It's so cute! ?

The story itself is pretty good with plenty of scheming from all angles so you never know what's going to happen until it's too late.

My only complaint

Spoiler

The MC could have let the younger sister and older brother live the rest of their lives as servants as revenge since they reflected on their mistakes but she was so hooked on the past she refused to let them go until they died. That was a bit too much for me.

But the story before that is pretty rad and I love how her opponent still managed to rout her now and then since she's not omnipotent. Morally gray heroine but fell short on most areas. Still worth a read.

The translations from WN aren't the best and I find myself rearranging word and sentence structures in my head (which I am getting used to since I've been MTLing a few novels).

The heroine, personally to me, is unlikeable and when I first read this from SLC's translations, I didn't really want to continue because of that reason. But since it was fully translated, I gave it a try once more. The heroine is someone I think I... more>> don't want to be friends with (I am probably more like a Sarah sob sob). Her motivations are morally gray at best. But at least it's something that she hwrself acknowledges.

Spoiler

She makes Sarah her tutor just because she'll be the future Marquis' wife. And everytime they meet, she always emphasizes how much she's using her.

She views the people for who they are in the past. When the present selves of those people are different.

Take Oscar and Cain, for example. I mean, I get that they caused your death, but they were just used. I... just don't agree with her methods of seduction.

and then there's the ML. I wish the author expounded more on his backstory, motivation et al. Because his character falls flat for me.

Spoiler

I wish the author also gave more meaningful scenes to the heroines powers. Because other than her return and the one time where her maid gets poisoned, the hourglass just seems pretty useless.

Oops this just turned into a rant.

But overall the story was engaging. It was an interesting read for me because the heroine isn't likeable (for me at least) in the beginning. But even though it was like that, it was enjoyable to read her growth throughout the arcs. FL and ML scenes were also good.

This story was good but not great. <<less

I always hesitate on how start a review, and this case is not different.

I've already read the story completely (with only a few epilogue chapters left behind) and what can a say? I've been reading all this chapters from day to night even without sleeping in two days, it's a catching story without a doubt, but it's that good? It's not a masterpiece, but it's really outstanding comparing them with another novels of the genre... Let's start with the basic.

  • Characters
The main protagonist of the story has a "refreshing" character for... more>> almost the entire novel, we start with her in the worst moment of her decadent life, realizing how her actions leaden her to her current status... A dumb light-headed prostitute's daughter. She start in the bottom, so... The only thing that she could do is grown. The other characters are also interesting... And what I can say without throwing spoilers is: from my point of view, there are not black/white personalitys, everyone has a motive for doing what they're doing, but even if we are moved by what Aria (The protagonist) is seeing or perceiving from them, we kind of know what are they truly personalitys or desires. It's only a point of view and a thing of actitud. Whatever. My complain is on how her personality (Aria) even if she has grown by the end to become something more... Passive aggressive? Just provoke boredom. Yes, she has learned, but she is so... Boring and predictable. She has the power to do the unthinkable and the mind of a grown" woman, so will expecting to read a intelligent revenge, no? Well, it happen at some point, but it feels so empty thanks to the change of Aria and the quite plain personality of Asher (the male lead) and for the first time in my reads, I think that the romance storyline was a mistake... Cus it kills not only the "principal trama", even so broke the personalitys of the two characters involved.

  • Trama/storytelling
The idea and the plot of the story are so good, but the author, or the editor, doesn't fill that first 10 chap expectations. In the first 50c I use to consider Aria a real villainess between villainess in the shoujo/isekai/whatever kind of story centered in villains and how they seek revenge, but the expectation declines, one of the reasons is the lacking of a real antagonist to our villain... Everything it's so easy for her, and her personality begins to lack when she realized the truly personalitys of the people surrounding her. It's satisfying seeing her accomplish and gaining so many things that she couldn't afford in her "previous" life, but somehow doesn't fill ur existential hole, if u know what I mean. Everything is so smooth... That when ur reach the end, the official end, it doesn't feel like one, it's no satisfying at all. The 240 chapters waiting for her revenge were not worth it, but it was a pleasure journey.

I wish that the storyline would have taken another road, one following her pure desire to make suffer those who make her life a living hell... Or something opposit, not this middle good/bad kind of evolution. I was dying to see more of other characters, like Cain, her brother, Isis (one of the antagonist), Lohan, even her maids or the friend of Asher, more chapters with them would have been soo interesting... What was really going on in their word? What was happening in the palace? I use to think that there were no Emperor at all until 150 or more chapters, but we never meet him... What was he thinking bout her son?

Ahg, so much questions and too many answers... <<less

I read this on Wuxia World. It was great. I loved it. It’s been a while so I don’t exactly remember what went on but I started with the webcomic and found that reading the novel was more detailed. I found myself enjoying the novel more than the webcomic. So I recommend the novel.
