Even Until Death, the Scum Gong Thought I Was a White Lotus

Xie Mu’s task was to make the scum gongs fall in love with him.

He skillfully disguised himself as a white lotus, delicate and pitiful, kind and naïve.

Even if he became an existence thrown away by the slag gong like a cheap pair of shoes, it did not matter, because Xie Mu would quickly make him kneel and apologize, even willing to dig out his heart and present it on a silver platter.

And once the slag gongs fell in love, he would, step by step, lead them into hell.

[I didn’t abandon you, it’s you who abandoned the amnesiac me] [I didn’t cuck you on purpose, I was being forced ah] [Even though I used you as a substitute, it wasn’t on purpose]

What could be crueler than abandoning someone only to want them back and find out that they’ve become forever out of reach?

Alguem sabe o nome desse bl ??? Of the arcs has the MC as a swapped child. The mother gave birth to a girl, but she thought the rich family won’t accept sick girls so she swapped two babies with a normal family’s boy. The mom doesn’t treat the MC good, and instead gives stuff to her own girl baby in another family. The girl was reborn and she wanted to take everything away from the MC because she was jealous that he had everything while she was supposed to... more>> the the original owner. The dad actually treated the MC great and was afraid that the MC would go to his own family when the truth came out. There was an ML in this story, but the ML was a just a person that helped the original host in his past life when the daughter took away the original’s ideas <<less

Well, I already finished this novel in one go. All I can say is it's good but there's still hole plot in the ending that leads to a lot of people dissatisfied (just slight for me). But of course there's a good thing, the good thing is there's no scene or storyline that he ends up with ml, which is my cup of tea.

I'm sad about it, yes, but I feel I have to give yet another review of reviews: Yup we really need a hide button at least. So many reviews that don't even understand why the shou is doing what he is doing. It's apparent to me then that they're basically saying that they want a cliche where the scum doesn't get the punishment they deserve. I disliked Su Luxia from Cheating Men Must Die but that was only because she isn't invested in the roles she plays. She only treats... more>> it as a game. Whereas the MC here is being blamed solely for what amounts to giving the MLs their just desserts. After all the MC is far more invested in his roles than SL ever was. <<less

Err... I think this novel could be barely tagged as a romance genre. There's nothing romanic about their relationship. Instead, I felt like I was reading a psychological horror trope. Even the conversations were haunting and chilling, as if something f*cked up was waiting for you next chapter.

MC's personality was also a big nope for me. I always avoided this type of mischievously disturbing folks. He's like the innocent protag of horror movies who turned out to be the killer instead.

He's neither the type of MC you can relate to... more>> nor he is the type you'd subconsciously root for since he had everything planned ahead. Everything's just a game for him and it only made me felt so alienated to him.

He's more suitable to play villains rather than a white lotus, to be honest. I even got chills from reading his monologue brrr 😖 <<less

I mean it's alright? Not even through the first arc, I don't like that we basically don't see the MC's actual personality (it's just the typical cold indifferent semiplayful shou). Also, some of the story progression and character actions really don't make sense.

Still entertaining though.

Bruh what's with the low review

Personally I find it really good, the MC is awesome I have read alot of similar QT with the similar theme of face slapping but MC is top-notch. MC never loved the scum gongs at all, goal driven homie and the downfall of all those scum gong is chef's kiss. Each arc gives you a good height of hate towards the gongs and pity for MC then bam downfall.

I liked how it was written for this kind of face slapping QT

What a bittersweet novel❤️ Sweet because I love seeing the scum abused but bitter because they of what xiao mu goes through and I always feel sorry for the original owners too. I hope that the original owners are happy in their next life 😭

The relationship between xiao mu and the system is so cute and how it ended was so sweet too. Overall 10/10 experience

Maaaan I cried so much, those poor canon fodders don't deserve being treated like that. But it's so fun seeing the slag gongs regret their actions so much :>

I give it a 4.5 stars because there's no background information for Xie Mu and I don't think there's an actual ML.

I'm not to sure about the ending tho? I think Xie Mu was helping this "Yan Sheng" character recover by entering those different worlds. But there's no background story to tell us how Xie Mu and Yan Sheng know each other or what their relationship is. It just ends with Xie Mu walking away in the opposite direction, away from Yan Sheng's room and the rest of the nurses (?). This definitely deserves a tragedy tag cuz there's no happy ending :>

Finished the first arc, read ahead of the translations.

Rate: 2.5/5

I rarely rate something so low right at the start but after finishing the first arc, I'm not sure what to expect.
I read the translation and it was an interesting and fun setting to me, but

It just felt super messy in the middle, and overly complicated and dramatic. I love myself some good old dog-blooded drama, but most of the times, the author knows that it's nonsensical and just runs with it. As for this story, it did keep me wondering what was going to happen next, but the answer always falls a little bit below expectation.

The two ML are also really embarrassing, especially the Main ML, he just keeps on scheming and suddenly bam everyone is crazy over the MC. There were a lot more potential to elaborate on Tan Tao and MC's relationship, especially in the flashback scenes, but they were just thrown in there to make everything messier and more dramatic...

The MC is also really boring, it started off great at first. But after that "reveal" of his condition, it was just super predictable. We're also not given much about our actual host, but just someone playing a white lotus character, which is a little grating.

[collapse]

The events in this first arc are interesting, but just a little lackluster and cringe-worthy in its execution. Maybe it gets better later on, maybe it won't. For now I'll just set it aside, and wait for the translations to pile up before giving it another try at a later date. <<less

I only read the first arc but this is one fvcked up book. The ML actually goes crazy. 100% will continue reading, I love twisted novels like these. Only issue I have so far is that MC is so devoted to his task (which I do like) but there rarely any moments where he is actually himself.

Reading this is like experiencing a roller coaster. The way how the author portrays all those hardships experienced by the MC and the anguish and regret felt by the MLs will really squeezed your heart. This story is best read if you want to have something different from the typical romance, face slapping quick wear. The emotion in this will just make your heart squeezed.
