Rong Qing transmigrated into the role of a big boss inside a book. Passionate, rich, and extremely good looking.

Yet this kind of big boss character, there were a total of six in the original book. All were embraced and hugged left and right by the original book’s main character Xiao Ziqi.

How can this be in accordance with the values of an upright modern society?

Rong Qing immediately sharpened his (metaphoric) sword and prepared to battle against the other big bosses. He will let them learn that although love was precious, making money was even sweeter!

During this process, he also accidentally picked up a little wolf pup cannon fodder from the original book and started his sweet, yet hilarious new life…

I feel this should be rated higher, It's a hilarious feel good type of story and it shouldn't be taken too seriously. I was just cracking up the entire time reading, the interactions with the other CEOs and the fans are comedy gold and the MCs personality is diamond comedy. His relationship with the ML is very sweet especially as the ML realizes how silly the MC is under Tyrant Boss CEO fascade he puts on.

To be honest I get tired of reading the edge of grimdark entertainment stories where... more>> everything is super serious and the stakes are too high, a story where the MC hates the White Lotus because he was hogging all the good Tops is exactly the type of story needed to cleanse the palate and it's very well translated AND complete 10/10! <<less

It was enjoyable enough that I finished it, but overall, I won’t recommend this unless you’re really bored.

Pros:

  • The ML is really sweet. He’s cute, but can be quite aggressive at times. I love this type the most.
  • Overall, the CP dynamic is quite healthy and chill. They both pamper each other, somewhat.
  • Can be quite funny, specially initially. I had a good laugh. Though later the jokes became really repetitive.
Cons:

  • I don’t like the MC. He’s very self-assured, arrogant, and temperamental, which I usually don’t mind. But here, he comes off as very, very childish. 90% of the plot is just him throwing a temper tantrum, be it to other people or in his mind. You can very much see why he doesn’t have any friend, with that kind of personality lol.
  • So many fillers. So. Many. Author would spend multiple chapters just to have MC torment his “friends” for comedic purposes. Which I could not care less about. In the end I’ve skipped over so many chapters because they’re just unnecessary.
  • Though I said the CP dynamic is healthy and chill, but overall, it’s just not that entertaining to read. After ML realizes his feelings for MC, somehow MC became even more overbearing than he already was and the ML just keeps on placating him. Throughout the rest of their relationship, it just turns into “unreasonable MC who always throws temper tantrums for no reason” and “buddha ML who can read MC’s mind and always say the right things to placate him”. Once or twice is ok, but that’s all there is to their relationship.
  • I think author completely forgot the premise of their own story. Midway through, the main antagonist is completely forgotten. It’d be fine if it were to focus on the main couple’s relationship, but no. They focus on useless stuff I really don’t care about.
  • The plot has no direction. In fact, there really is no plot lol.
A solid 2.5/5, rounded up to 3 since I did finish it somehow. Won’t recommend.

A pretty hilarious and cute/fluffy novel with a fairly immature MC.

To be honest, about 50% was all filler. The author really dragged on the slow burn and the relationship. I would recommend reading this by skimming about half of it. Then it wouldn't get as tired and repetitive.

I believe it took me about 3 tries to read this novel (having dropped it repeatedly in the middle due to boredom in the past). However, overall, it's not a bad read.

There are plenty of cute, fluffy, light-face-slapping, showing off scenes. MC is... more>> definitely an extremely immature (but supposedly competent) wealthy businessman.

Unlike other face-slapping novels, this one doesn't become too dark or extreme. That's already a big point in its favor.

Spoiler

I especially enjoyed the extras with the kitty that explained where the "original" owner of MC's body went off to.

Pretty good translation, flowed well. <<less

No!!! I hate it!

Some people may find it funny or comical but this type of comedy is certainly not my cup of tea! I like comedy when it's built on a solid world with common sense and logical interactions. This type of comedy just comes off as annoying in a sense where it completely destroys the plot. Like it's nonstop comedy, even when there is something like a mu*der attempt, we don't have enough time to feel the gravity of the situation. There is no stop, it's just followed by... more>> some random joke, completely eating the characters. If I had to say, it's like these children cartoons who only produce sounds and die multiple times to be funny. However that effect is purposefully done to not create the viewer (child) attachement. It shouldn't be ever employed in a novel.

I also find the MC totally incompetent. It's irritating.

The romance too, no matter how you look at it, the ML doesn't look like a proper top. Also, their age gap makes me uncomfortable along with the daddy naming.

Anyway, I feel like a seme protagonist tag might have done this novel wonders.

With the exact same plot with seme tag, I would recommend I ran away after I was forced in a love polygon. Cause this story here looks like the high school student or the wattpad fanfics version of it, really same plot but one is 10/10 while the other is garbage. <<less

  1. MC is so f****** awesome and really has cute and cool personality.
  2. The ML is not your total possession person and he always take care the MC feeling and give him freedom to do anything he want.
  3. The story has a differnt plot from other story, where there usually the MC take a revenge on the protagonist. In this story the main plot is more toward the relationship between rich person (MC) and actor (Ml).

Too funny !!!!!!

If binge read then I guarantee tears can come out becz of laughing.

Well just wanna say a must read.

... more>> MC is the highlight!!!!!! MC is Ceo and ML is struggling actor later supported by MC. (In original novel ML ending is brutal. I am happy our darling, adorable ML gets saved because of MC transmigration (well not directly but indirectly MC saved ML from his brutal ending)).

Both ML n MC are treasure !!!

Other side characters I love them all !!!

Everyone has their own charm.

Must read !!!!

A very good novel for binge read as comic flow breaks with a day wait.

Thank you translator for updates and very good translations as I couldn't get mtl of this novel...

When completely translated I am gonna do binge read (as I binge read first 40 chapters it was so fun) . <<less

Lots of fluff, lots of humour, what more can I ask for? The plot and character interactions are unrealistic in a hilarious way, adding to the lighthearted mood of the novel. I've only read a few chapters, but I've already grown attached to these silly boys ^^

A good story at first because of the face slapping and good plot but as the chapter drags by it gets annoying. Especially the MC who acts like childish and an airhead. The story is so long and unnecessary, each chapter is the same and the romance has no progress until now.

Well, a 5 star if you don't take this story too seriously. This is what I call a funny, happy and light read. This story was not very 3D about its characters which is usually the start to writing a good story in my opinion. But based on the criteria for a happy light read with minimal drama, this is great, and if you are here something like that to brighten up your day this is for you. Hilarious characters.

Reading this gave me plenty of endorphins and made me feel... more>> giddy and happy in a way did not expect. I like that while the characters all had their ups and downs they were able to manage to keep up their cheerful and pure personalities. Indeed, for those who were looking for something more deep and drastic with character development this would have been a disappointment almost with no meaning of any sorts. It might have been even frustrating to read about a really pompous, proud and almost narcissistic main character.

The best feature about this story is almost like a satire/parody of reality in my opinion. The author may not have thought so much while writing this but I felt it was what made me appreciate this story so much. I felt it was similar to fairy tales that do not have 3 dimensional characters but with meaningful lessons.

For those who to know my deeper thoughts, basically word vomit about my true feelings and thoughts while I read this book:

Spoiler

The main character in this story always comes off as a proud character who always thinks highly of himself, and a little foolish for investing 30 million on the male lead right off the bat after waking up. His spontaneous character can get confusing, and all the monologue a little strange, as well as no background makes it harder to understand him. Not just the main character, but almost all the other character have some really exaggerated trait about themselves. For example, Song Xian as a rich young master who is always out on blind dates, Gao Pres who is always overworking, Assistant he who is a extreme cat lover, Lin Ji a good actor rebelling against family, and best of all Mu Cheng, with his canton accent and eccentric slippers and shorts aesthetic on his off days quite contrary to his Pres image. One of the best advice I have heard from a writer is to give your character imperfections and traits that make them memorable, and while it was not seamlessly blended in, it definitely worked for this story.

Regardless, I enjoyed this over the top characters and exaggerations, because it felt like a breath of fresh air in comparison to the gloomy characters we see in our everyday lives, in the stories we read or the dramas we see. Almost all forms of stories are starting to imitating reality, and after all, one can only absorb content with exceptionally 3 dimensional characters with deep stories to an extent before we get tired of it. To see such simple minded characters worry about small problems and live a happier life seems a little deceiving but also telling of how much easier life would be if we learnt to worry less (and be rich).

Sometimes the trick is to deceive yourself everything is ok and just do things to get yourself through some things. Just like Rong Qing did by spending money to not feel lonely or unhappy now that he was all alone in this new timeline with the possibility that no one would be able to purely love him for who he is.

I'll try to keep this spoiler free. This story really made me laugh. The MC is sooooo funny. The ML spends much of his time being entertained by the MC's antics. All the side characters are well fleshed out and are as ridiculous as the main couple. Read this book if you need a smile for 174 chapters. I sure had one.

The MC's story is he transmigrated into the body of a powerful CEO with a secret desire to be a shou. He battles with an evil shou who is... more>> trying to manipulate all the powerful gong's in the area. At the same time, he aids his potential gong in the thrilling quest to become a serious and successful actor.

There is no crying (or at least I didn't shed any tears). The face slapping is quite enjoyable.

A big shout out to Infinite the translator. Amazing job. It was so well done that I've been reading everything she translates. <<less

READ THIS GOD DMMIT.

Finally a good one after a long time yearning. 💪😌🤞 ❤️ Romance may be the reason of this novel, but it's actually The Adventures of CEO Tyrant, Rong Qing ! HAHAHAHAH Outwardly flaunting & flashing here and there, no one can 'top' his wealth! But he's SECRERTLY your friendly cute outstanding BOTTOM! His inner thoughts are so cutesy contrasting his cold, aloof face. And when he finally let his TRUE SELF OUT IN THE VARIETY SHOW HAHAHAH SORRY RONGJI FANGIRLS, IT'S JIRONG MF AHHAAHA.

***AND MAN, everytime he talks... more>> about sisters of the (gay) circle, I really can't stop laughing HAHAHAH.

*Spoiler but not cause its in the beginning*

OG Rong Qing actually voiced his last words in our Rong Qing's head. He said he'll only allow him access to all the richest if he agrees to only drive 👀 after marriage. OG Rong Qing also expressed he might not be a top like its written in the novel after looking at our Rong Qing's memories. Rong Qing then called OG Rong Qing, Fellow sister! HAHAHAH I DIED-

I WILL NEVER FORGET THE TERM SISTER'S OF THE (GAY) CIRCLE AND THIS NOVEL, IT'S TOO FUN TOO FUN!!!! I never laughed so much in a review! <<less

Actually this is a good novel, makes you feel happy with the uniqueness of each character. It's just that the timeline of this novel is a bit chaotic and the author often changes POV on the spur of the moment and even mix it up alternately per paragraph. It makes me confused and uncomfortable you know.

And again, there's a sense of underachievement while reading it, too flat in my opinion. And that's why I dropped this novel after 100 chapters.

But it's worth reading, I love the characters, they're unique and... more>> make me laugh. <<less

For it genre (mind it that the author specifically said it is a silly journey), I enjoyed it. Probably won't re-read because it is a super straight line type of story. No thrilling or thought provoking moments to savour.

Every CP is basically a "I only got my eyes for you" type. The main CP attracted to each other from the start (at least the shou is, the gong misunderstood him at first). But despite mutual attraction, they really went official at 100 something chapters. However, before that no toxicity of... more>> pining and jealousy. Despite the silliness, every couple had a healthy way of pursuing; and what I like is the way they are pursuing someone. Everyone is willing to play with their partner's tempo; no coercion, no urging (Like Lin Ji, Mu Cheng).

I enjoyed reading MC antics in showing off; especially in his money making machine group. The showbiz aspect is cliche. The ML had a blooming flower path after meeting MC with the usual face slapping to antagonistic parties, but I still enjoy the comedic humour of the author. There are moments where their choice of words make me laugh till my stomach hurts.

The extras also answered the question about He Qian that loved to talk to himself in main story (like, at first I am suspecting he is another foreign elements in the world lol). The tidbits of Mu Cheng and Gongsun ZiBai also nice, since they had blank period in the main story.

Surprisingly, what made me unsatisfied with the author is that, they seems to be indecisive about ML parents and sister's role.
Spoiler

In the beginning, author seems to want them to be seen as irresponsible bad parents. Then, author made them went back to China to reconcile and learn that ML seriously love acting. They went back to get father and planned to come back as three before meeting ML (seemingly repenting). But then 2 years timeskip where they apparently didn't meet ML AFTER those chapters prior. They comes for MC and ML's wedding. Appeared to be dissatisfied with MC for not following proper etiquette after wedding but seemingly to give full support after assistant He gave gifts. Even the sister seems to approve, saying as expected of her lil brother. But then, the next extra shows how the three wanted to meet MC alone. Then judged MC. Worst, it is like the part where the mother realised how deeply in love her son with acting didn't happened, she accused MC sleeping with ML is how ML get to be where he is today. Obviously MC become livid. After I make sure that is the end of their appearance, I was baffled. Like what?! Then what is the point lol. Author should have just said the parents left their 10y.o son to fend for himself in showbiz world and that is it. They didn't even talk to their son in the end! 😅

[collapse]

And this might be my personal problem, but I hoped that the translator should have been better of using italic for "sisters in the circle" instead of "sisters (Gay) in the circle". Every single time translator choose to put (gay) behind every "sister" word just rubbed me wrong; especially after like the tenth times. <<less

Now I understand where the low ratings were coming from. Tbh, the author could have deduced the story into 100 chapters instead of having 155 if they cut out some unnecessary scenes and focus on building MC and ML's romance. I understand that this is purely for fun but sometimes Rong Qing flaunting his wealth can be very annoying. I always skip that part (sorry for the translator team, I know they put so much effort in translating these huhu) and the internet comments as well.

But, what I love about... more>> this tho, is Lin Ji's personality as the top. He's unexpectedly cute and knows how to pacify Rong Qing's mood.

Also, thanks to the translation team for their effort. Everytime there are confusing scenes that occurs, they always put () to explain what the scene's all about.

Overall, it's not that bad, just that it gets draggy in the middle of the story. <<less

⭐⭐ cannot change the rating

It started great and I loved the face slapping but at some point I only look forward to the face slapping. The MC turned into an annoying, childish one. I cannot feel the duality he's supposed to have. His inner monologues is so loud and irritating. Then the ML's family didn't make sense. They have a son/brother complex but they let him be isolated for 10 years. I only like Assistant He.
Spoiler

he ended up with the original rong qing through his transforming cat but dude only when they are faraway with that shitty MC can he transform. Like this is so measly

[collapse]
cannot do it anymore

Also, maybe it's not really my type of comedy but when MC and ML were interacting and they were both dying of laughter together I was there at the side thinking they really wanna get some because it's not funny.

translator is great. Thank you.

First off, I’m genuinely baffled by these reviews that are turning a light-hearted comedic work of romance fiction into a political issue. Why are they taking it so seriously when even the novel itself isn’t taking itself seriously??

anyways:

This has definitely become one of my favorite BL novels. The translation is a 9/10 (some points off bc some subtext and jokes were lost in translation).

Both MC and ML are wholeheartedly dedicated to each other and quite genuine and soft. They both not only focus on their respective careers but also make... more>> time for each other when they can. They’re absolutely cute for each other and it’s nice to see characters that are trope-y but still relatable and down-to-earth.

The side ships were a little hilarious to see introduced. It was kind of like ‘you get a ship, you get a ship, everyone gets a ship!’. The extras were also actually a hilarious addition to the underlying plot and backstory. It explains a lot of subtler things throughout the story that we would have missed otherwise.

Anyways, definitely going to reread this at some point in the future, as well as going to reread the raws for some of the mistranslated jokes and subtext. <<less

flamboyant self accalimed ' top' quality bottom looks for his top quality... top.

I loved this book !!! The characters were very lovable, interesting individuals and their dynamic when they came together was amazing too !!!

See, everyone loves and hates the whole cliche tyrannical rich (but lowkey a prick) guy throwing money at his beloved. (Almost paradise plays in the distance) but this book made the trope super interesting to read.

The guy who throws the money is the bottom and the top very calmly takes his shower of affection (both... more>> monetary or otherwise).I know it sounds really plain but as someone who has come across very disturbing bls (and prior to this heteros*xual romances) where the person holding money and status completly dominates the relationship and the whole dynamic is really really effed up.. or truthfully there is no dynamic one person completly posseses another, this whole book was a breathe of fresh air. Ron Qing is the one who has the money... and the status but it really doesn't matter. MC and ML aren't awkward about money matters. MC likes throwing money around and ML just watches his beloved showing off this peac*ck showing off his feathers.P.S ML (Lin ji) thinks whatever MC does is adorable... he's not wrong

I loved how natural their relationship is ?? like it's Ron Qing who shows his intentions for Lin ji first. There is no clear cut phase when it turns from ' I am thirsty and you have like super nice pecs' to ' you have a nice body but also I like you personality and all '. It develops super naturally.

Initially, the MC's frankness will surprise the reader and it also unnerves the ML because he isn't sure what his intentions are. (It's understandable.. what with being rich and throwing 30 million in investments and not being really subtle with his fervent gazes, the MC does paint for the picture of a classic f*ckboi) but ML is super decisive.. this couple won't annoy you by going around in circles.

Again, the gong-shou business really doesn't make a difference. they are equal in their interactions. there are several times when MC mentions himself being a bottom but it's not degrading -none of that dominant -submissive business. It's like the man knows what he wants -he's a bottom and he wants his top :)

I was a little skeptical about him having business capabilities like yes, he got his abilities from the original owner but it will only be interesting if he were able to make it his own , you know ??Otherwise it would have been a lot of filler text about somehow everything falling into place and the MC being super op. but this did not happen, MC himself is a street smart, business man although he did the technical knowledge from the original person ;his nature of looking for opportunities every second was his own.

this was also reflected in his relations with his friends who were also businessmen. He spared no one -if he could make money, he would. Some people would argue that he was kind of a prick and I agree but I like characters who are a bit of an a**hole, it gives their personality flavour. Also, it showed just how much of a businessman he was. As for his friends- he did act like a good friend when it mattered so all's good.

Also, one of my favourite moments was in the beginning when the MC snubbed that green tea bit*h and immediately gravitated towards Lin Ji. (thumbs up) you have good taste in men, brother <<less
