Not gonna lie, after reading the first 2 chapters I binge read until the current chapter, 475, via google translate. In essence we're seeing a lot of transmigration tropes, and those who think they've gained a "golden finger" are constantly being torn apart.

The female lead in each "world" is self-sufficient, always OP, and doesn't seem to struggle much as she is always at the top of the food chain. So if you want to read something where you know for sure there will be face-slapping without all the angst/drama, this... more>> is for you. (Word Vomit below lol)
Spoiler

There is one ML throughout it seems, and at first there was some mention of his reaction when she left each world but as time goes on we just get a few sentences of her accomplishments then she wakes up in the next world. The romance isn't very pronounced at all, in fact the ML seems more like her lackey/golden finger who smooths out things for her to make things seems more reasonable (ex: she becomes an artifact refiner, ML is the dude who provides her with her supplies, there are constant mentions of how they're engaged/married but we don't even see a kiss just that she gives awesome artifacts to her mother in law).

If what you want is a steamy romance, this isn't for you as once her mission is accomplished she leaves (through death or leaving a copy, a step which after a few worlds is skipped entirely so we don't know how things turned out...). Like I said before, 475 chapters and I haven't seen a mention of even a hug, let alone some of that steamy hubby action we get in our other "system" stories. The ML is faithful to her in each story though, and you can ID him easily as his name remains yunshen. (EX: if she leaves a copy when leaving the world, he ends the engagement, because it's not her). He himself is OP, but her success/completing each mission, is entirely due to HER and not due to hubby fixing things for her like we've seen in second female lead and heroine arrives...

So, instead of having a focus on romance, you get a FL who is brilliant and makes things happen. She obviously has feelings, taking care of those who take care of her, and she's not some crazy ruthless MC like we've seen in some stories (like your usual secret agent to ancient times ones). She's just OP AF, which I enjoy. Although it should be noted that if you're a math/physics buff you might guffaw a few times as our MC is supposed to be a hacker math genius and they start talking about how she solved equations for the 16th dimension etc. SO yeah. And she always seems to know in each world how to get into these closed dark web groups. I guess hacking is the same no matter the dimension lol.

ON another note, if we're going to talk about her enemies, their reasoning for targeting her makes sense and our MC SHUTS THAT sh*t DOWN. For example, in a few it's the typical reasoning of transmigrators in other novels that family X mistreated the original so let's ruin their lives, or the person read the "book" the world was based on and didn't want to be threatened by the real protag so they want to take 'em out -the MC of that "world" was usually originally our girl-. In 475, we have a modern Dr transmigrating into ancient times, who disparages our girl because she thinks ancient Chinese medical practitioners are quacks. However, we get to see who is the real quack, as that chick did surgery without taking proper sanitation precautions, which has consequences our MC predicted. Oh, and btw that chick also came into a body that was pregnant with a genius child (sounds familiar right? LOL). I'm looking forward to how this turns out.

[collapse]

Overall, I really enjoyed this, would recommend.

Edit: A few worldlines after my last review (475) we had actual obvious romance, and the ending is a HE I'm pretty satisfied with c: <<less

My biggest problem is with how s*upid everything is written. Typing so fast you only see a mirage? 'Godly' hacking skills (LOL). None of it works the way it should/does in real life. Honestly as someone with only a little knowledge in IT, it seems laughable.

With the second world, it's even worse because the problems aren't with the setting but in how characters react to the two transmigrated people. It's impossible for the ancient people to know what a gun is just by looking at a drawn picture. It's also... more>> impossible for a gun to be reassembled into a completely different gun that would definitely require different parts and shapes.

Faceslapping is all good but not with shoehorned OPness that doesn't even make logical sense. <<less

I’ve read the mtl for this novel. At first, it was interesting; but the more you read it, the more ridiculous the story becomes in the reader’s view. Every arc repeats itself. The story is frustratingly set up so that Ye Shaohua can faceslap everyone - and it’s not even in a satisfying way. The situations actually just piss you off. There’s nothing special about this novel. Compared to the best quick transmigration novel Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil, this novel is just a cheap imitation. There is... more>> no emotion in the writing and none of the characters are even slightly relatable. <<less

This one is awesome a super smart MC which is a woman with a more mysterious background then the original world. Although the romance does happen it doesn't happen like in QWTFOTD or other world jumping books since she cannot stay in world as soon as she completes task..... the romance is more implied..... only read in till the 400hundres because that's as far as the raw to. So even suited for mtling without losing to much time but annoying to wait for new chapters. But it's great I though... more>> I would put that here to support the translator. <<less

As a novel its not that great. Every arc is basically a copy of others. Besides the different setting, everything remains the same - the villains personalities, the conflict progression, the crowds/public opinion on MC, ect. If you have read even a single arc, u can already imagine every other arc from the start. Nothing ever changes.

Even the MC never changes/progresses. Or at least you couldn't tell as we don't get that much insight into the MC. Literally in the end of the arc you will have read and understood... more>> the villains more than the MC. Many arcs basically just throw the MC to the side, while villains progress. Telling how the villain is becoming better and better, winning over the public opinion and all is great. And then bam, finally we get told that meanwhile MC did everything 100x better. We don't get story how she did it. Just told that with a time skip manner.

At least the novel has a lot of face slapping, the MC is op as fuk and doesn't require a man to be her strength. It's a really easy going novel, as the MC is a genius above all geniuses. <<less

I think this story is very much a YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) type of story. I wouldn't compare it to QWTFOTD at all, because it's very different in many aspects. If I were to describe it, I would call it a female power fantasy.

The MC is different from the MC of many other BG/system/world hopping stories in a combination of several things:

  • Given the choice, the MC always prefers not to resolve issues with physical conflict (even though she's a spec ops agent and really really good at fighting/war/etc.), but rather by contributing so much to the society in general that she makes herself integral to the nation/civilization and thus puts herself on a higher socio-political level.
  • In the face of cliche schemes that you see among female characters in plots (defamation, framing, reputation smearing, white lotusing, stealing boyfriends, etc.), MC's response tends to be just to ignore any such social based attacks, but rather to improve herself and standing so that these attacks just wash off her.
  • The male lead very rarely acts as MC's golden finger. More often, she's able to get most of her accomplishments done without him, or just with him as a supporting character. In fact, there's very little romance mentioned in the text, and a lot of her relationship with ML is left up to subtext and implications.
I say it's a female fantasy because the MC seems like a role model for modern feminism. She's highly successful in very competitive careers without the need to rely on men, to the point of national/international acclaim. She defeats her opponents just by being so gosh darn excellent rather than by physically attacking anyone (while standard face slapping is cathartic to read about, most female readers are unlikely to see themselves as able or desiring to do the same in the protag's shoes).

Now, there are some truths to the... more>> other critics of the story. The general gist of things do get repetitive, especially in the arcs that take place in modern settings. However, I do think there are a smattering of interesting world setups, and the ways that MC adapts to excel in them, which kept me interested. I do wish there's a little bit more romance with the ML, but I can get lots of that from other BG quick transmigration stories. Read this story for its strengths, and leave it if it's focus isn't your cup of tea, I guess. <<less

From the first arc, the story was bland. The plot setting was stale, the reason for her "new" body's death was uninspiring, her op-ness was nauseating and there was basically no thrill or suspense. With how bright her MC Halo shone and how thick her armor was, adding in how otherworldly her abilities were, if she did not succeed then I'd sue the myself for anger overdose and terrible novel picking.

Overall, it's a pretty light read with no stress about the villians or the MC's success. Good job!

It's not bad. I would give it a 3.5. I quite like every arc. Unfortunately, every time I think the story is interesting, I immediately think how much better it would have been if it was written by the author of FOD. The stories are interesting, it's just not written very well.

Also, even though there is a ML, he is basically just like someone that's there buying soy sauce. Although it is quite refreshing how the MC can handle everything herself, I don't like how invisible the ML is.

My biggest... more>> issue is the poor translation by lnread. I mean it looks almost completely MTL. So it makes it difficult to read. <<less

I'm honestly too lazy to write a good review for this, so here we go:

At first it was quite entertaining to relieve me of my boredom, but after they switched translators, the translation quality dropped by a huge margin. That decreased half of my interest towards this book as there were many portions of the story to which I simply couldn't understand. Afterwards, the same plot kept on repeating itself: The FL being reborn or some of that sh*t and trying to take her 'revenge' on the cannon fodder MC,... more>> the MC giving her the same goddamn face slaps every time, the ML just supporting her on the sidelines with very few appearances, the parents regretting not treating the MC better, ect.

To be honest, it's so repetitive it gets boring.

I completely dropped it in during of the later arcs (didn't even bother to check which one) because of this. Honestly, I'm not usually the type of person that gives out harsh criticism, but I think this novel took it a little too far.

Then again, if anyone decides to pick it up and has a different opinion that I do, then good for them, this is just my opinion on the story. <<less

The MC and ML is part of the faction between an internal forces in their respective island. If im not wrong the MC has the South Island while the ML has the North??

MC is the legitimate daughter of the Ye Family is the Capital that they lost when she was five years old. Rather that lost, it should be sacrificed by her bit*h mother so that they can escape on the mercenaries.

MC was saved by the South Island master surnamed Nie and she was thought how to fight and enrolled in the school for royalties and assassins.

MC then leaves the Island because the Master died and the original grandaughter tell the MC to see the world but just dont want her to manage the Island. She poisoned the MC so that the mc's body will become weak as time goes by.

Then MC leaves the island feeling alone. Dejected because she dont have any family. She then stayed in the computer shop until Jing Jie her entainment agent discover her and brought her to became an artist.

While being an artist she also manage the internal affairs of the island even though she leave it she still manage it because of the master wish before he died.

MC died while having some transaction on eagle mercenaries? I think the building they staying at explode then the MC died.

The ML has a divine power that manage the space then he sacrifices his power so that the MC can live. That's how the story why the MC was enable to transmigrate on the other world.

In the end MC was back in the original world and face slap some b*tches. Its a happy ending by the way. ??

Based on the switched at birth arc 3 stars.

It had lots of problems. The MC was incredibly overpowered, to the point it was completely unbelievable and the arc was like watching her squish bugs. The parents and family real and adopted were both unbelievable. Worst was all the characters never bothered to ask obvious questions that made the plot useless. This meant the reader has to go "OH SURE WHY NOT, THAT WILL WORK", as the plot moves forward.

So, as a typical quick transmigration novel, it was mediocre. It had many of the same qualities of usual qt books; like, the mary sue qualities get transferred over from the oFL to the fl, overpowered ml, overpowered fl, plot holes, becomes repetitive, maybe makes you question your sanity, ML likes the FL suddenly bc she isn't 'like other girls since she's, like, special and shit', and other similarities as such. There isn't many differences between general qt novels. So, usually, I'd give these sort of novels a 4 or... more>> 3, because it's a quick and enjoyable read, but lacks depth and simple reasoning. I'm good at ignoring stuff that sound s*upid. Actually, at the beginning with the original translator, Fuheidage Translations, I would have given it a 3.5 rating.

But Lnreads ruins a lot of good novels. I had, like, three other stories that I was reading, which got picked up by the group who drastically decreased the quality of the translation. If I started out machine translating the novel, there's a high chance I would have kept ignoring the inconsistencies. But, this is a translation website that literally puts mtled stuff and calls it tl. No. Okay. I think that's what they do, or they really need a editor. Well anyway welcome to the review that ended into a rant about a tl group! Yay!

It's a good read, but I believe you should read till arc 4 and pretend they have a happy ending, then go on to another book. Or mtl the entire series. Or read until the explanation arc. Anyway, it'll become repetitive as shit, so enjoy until you get bored and drop it~ <<less

I don't even know what I am reading anymore. Translations have so many mistakes that you can understand every word but when those those words combine to make a sentence, it doesn't make any sense. Last two arcs are so messy that everything is jumbled up. Please LNreads, if you translate then please do edit and omit the mistakes. Otherwise it is same as not doing it. I have nothing against the translators but just please don't kill reader's eyes.

Get ready for similar stories in each arc... initially the stories and the MC/ML interactions were still tolerable, but with every arc, everything keeps getting repeated - it's annoying how maths & hacking is being used as a tool in every story... don't even talk about the believability of the said maths/hacking techniques...

The story was a bit senseless in the beginning too, but its getting waaay over the top - the MC might be a cultivation god in one world doesn't mean she can lift boulders in other world with... more>> a starved body... drudged through 800+ chapters of mindless drivel just to see how low a story can go...

ML is being reborn too, so his role is being reduced to Sugar daddy - smoothing the way for MC. The only interest remaining is how transmigration of MC and ML is explained and how their story comes to end - will probably read the last arc for that - if we ever reach there... <<less

This is a transmigration/drama/face-slapping series. Although other genres are listed for this series, the action and martial arts are so painfully vague, they will be an instant turn-off for an action junky. There is practically no imagery in this series. Going with that, so far there is no romance, sci-fi, or supernatural events thus far; according to other reviews, the romance begins sometime after 400 chapters. There is some comedy that has made me laugh, but I wouldn't say it's enough to mark this as a comedy series. Thus far,... more>> all of the comedy is based on face-slapping, which can only be funny so many times before it becomes dry.

The MC is a super agent who also has a bounty on her. Going by the early chapters, it looks like the country which employs her is the same one who placed the bounty, which is very confusing to me. I don't know if she turned traitor or what, but maybe more information will come out later.

The MC is super OP and can do anything she choose to do. Whether it's being stunningly beautiful, becoming a hacking master even in a body unfamiliar with a keyboard, fighting in a body not trained for combat, being an expert at Go without having never picked up a game piece before, or whatever else, she can do it without any practice in her new bodies. That said, each of her bodies appear to be incredibly similar with relatively good health. Not a single one has even been described as needing glasses before, nor are any of them overweight! She doesn't have to try to build up muscle, lose weight, fight acne, get beauty treatments, cut her hair or grow it out, or make any other changes to accomplish her goals. Everything is perfect for her right from the beginning.

Unfortunately, being so OP kills any suspense the readers can feel. It's fine to show her off as being super cool in the first couple of arcs to establish her as a character, but there are still no signs of struggling later on. No struggling means no character growth. Her character depth and that of the other characters is fairly limited. She's a touch OP woman that remains cold and collected and is good at everything, and.... that's about it for her personality. No one else has much depth in this series either.

The characters who have their thoughts exposed the most would be the villains, but they all have the same arrogant, excessively competitive, oblivious types of personalities. They go on to make fools of themselves. The plots are different in this series since the antagonists can lead perfectly happy lives, even if they leave the MC alone. They could even team up with her and have an incredible partnership in their endeavors. Do they do this? No. They keep pointlessly provoking the MC. Wouldn't any slightly rational person stop when they see their methods are foolhardy? They're all kinda dumber than a box of rocks, although they're held in high esteem in their arcs.

The MC has the same name each time like in Sinister Ex-Girlfriend, so readers don't end up baffled about who is who (until the translator changes and the chapters are so unreadable they're headache-inducing). However, she doesn't try to stick with the original personality at all and doesn't act according to those roles. She goes hard-core OOC without trying to stay in-character, so readers are stuck with the cold OP MC personality for every single arc.

There is a little tragedy at the end of some arcs, but it's not done in nearly as heart-breaking of a manner as Heroic Death System or many similar series. The sense of tragedy could definitely be amped up.

Anyone reading this review may have guessed this so far, but with the same personalities for the MC and for each of the villains and even for the ways the villains go against the MC, there is a lot of redundancy to the plots.

There are also a substantial number of plot holes, so readers should plan to turn off their brains. There's also a painful deficit of details and description that really makes the story feel thin and without substance. For instance, the MC not only designs but builds a certain weapon in ancient times that happens to be a modern-day weapon made of metals. How can they refine such a thing so easily in that era? No explanation was given. Likewise, during a gaming competition, very little detail is given about the game or what is going on in the game. For a while, I was confused on what the objective of this game was as well as how to play and other details. The poor translator had to supplement dozens of notes, so the reader knows what's actually happening.

There are good points, though: the MC's IQ has not dropped, and neither has the ML's! The MC is not dependent on the ML! There is no r*pe! This is a rare event for a Chinese series starring a female MC. This series definitely gets kudos for that.

Overall, this is a lighthearted face-slapping series that may keep a person entertained for a few arcs, but the story is flat and could be improved in a number of ways. Although it doesn't do anything terribly, it doesn't do anything with excellence either. <<less

After 3 days of not sleeping, I’ve finally finished this novel and I am content :)

This novel is for those who love quick face slaps and an amazing FL who is already OP but who doesn’t look down on learning new things and skills! Honestly Daddy Ye is the best and her little bits of dog food with the ML is also filling!

The ML doesn’t appear a lot and it’s mostly just the FL leads story but if you love a good novel with a FL who scares her... more>> system and completely crushes all obstacles then this is for you! <<less

The MC of this novel is an expert at everything. She will just smirk mysteriously as the system asks "where did you learn it all?" and yolo through the plot holes.

Honestly, I feel like the idea behind each arc is interesting to begin with, but poorly executed. It's the same washed out plot in the end; a big group of people hating on the MC for really petty reasons which is followed by an endless amount of face slaps. The details aren't very researched, I find the arcs with hacking... more>> and mobile gaming particularly cringy. Maybe that's because I have some knowledge in both areas?

Spoiler

... It feels like a child playing "house". I don't think you even need knowledge to tell. At one point, she was writing code and finished it with a dramatic Enter, like she hadn't pressed it at all before that. And as for the mobile game, she kept going against professional players THE FIRST TIME SHE PLAYED THE GAME, and destroyed every single player she went up against? Ma'am please, even the professionals need knowledge of their class in order to be able to play you know? If you just have a general idea because you're familiar with similar games, you still won't be good enough because you haven't even learned what you can do yet, so you don't know what you have to work with. While they've been drilling this info into themselves for years...

[collapse]

Ah, let's also ignore the fact that it's another novel that puts foreigners in a bad light, but that's not particularly new. *sweats*

One thing I think is cool about this novel is the romance. It's... Interesting. You have to look for the little hints to know they're in a relationship, the ML is just there but it's not the main focus of the story. They're still a power couple though, but the MC is of course extra epic.
Overall, even if it's not that great of a story, it's an easy read that's good to pass time. The only issue is you might as well MTL after LnReads take over, because it seems they're not even making a translation attempt; the quality is the same as copy-paste MTL. Sorry. <<less

The repetitiveness of this novel is enjoyable for a lazy read. When you have nothing else to fill your brain, this is a good novel. The drama is dramatic as it can be, so be warned.

After the first group's translations, however, the quality of translation goes down. The grammar is confusing, and some spelling errors may be seen.

read for the face-slapping and not for the story arcs. The arcs are very repetitive (broken engagement, rich family doesn't treat her right, reborn girl hates her, etc.). The system is not annoying, which is better than many, and the MC is ridiculously OP. This is not a story I feel the need to binge, I'll read another arc or two next time I'm craving some good old fashion face-slapping and eventually finish the story. My rating is 2.5-3 so far.
