Lin Dan is bound to an auxiliary system. She does tasks to maintain the plot of countless small worlds. Simply put, she is just a supporting role or cannon fodder, a stepping stone for others to achieve greatness.

Confusion, desperation, madness, loving who she can’t love, wanting what she can’t have: Lin Dan experienced too much loss and misery. When she finally achieved enlightenment and decided to unbind from the system and return to her original world, something interrupted her return journey and she was sent back into the three thousand worlds to continue struggling.

Although she lost her memory, Lin Dan was no longer confused. She decided to take her own path and finally discovered that she had to love herself before others could love her. As long as you live your life well, no matter how insignificant it seems, you will become a protagonist one day. If you bloom, the butterflies will naturally come.

There is minimal romance, but the plots in each arc are unique and great. MC relies on her own skills to make her way in each life, and it's really satisfying to see that.

Ngl... the story is interesting. And the fortunate lack of romance kinda reminds me of CFRC which is one of my faves.

My only complaint... is how open the arcs end. Like a story thats missing the ending. No need to tell it till her death but at least a "and she lived happily ever after" you know...

About the arcs...

Spoiler

I like how she stayed single in the 1st arc. Even if he's obviously interested in her I don't think she'd be happy marrying him.

The ending of the 2nd is also good. That together but not together because she can't love but can appreciate his company and him understanding and choosing to stay besides her anyway... very nice.

Ok, the end of the 3dr felt really abrupt. It didn'teven hint on what she'd really do... like... raising her brother or her nephews or something...

Ohohohoho she married for the 1st time! More out of friendship than love but it is progress...

Slowly you can see her evolving emotionally... that's very nice. But this ending was also left too open for my tastes...

The 1st modern arc... with fantasy but modern. Very interesting. This time the open ending didn't bother me... mainly cuz I'm rooting for the 2nd suitor... I can have an idea of hoe things would turn out if she wasn't there... but I wish we'd get a glimpse of it like in other arc... missed it more than a closed endind... xD

The ending of the doomsday arc was the sweetest till now. So cute...

I really like how she's slowly learning about all kinds of love... learning to be a mother is beautiful...

I... don't know who I imagine endind with her in this arc... so... I vote for harem... a shame it didn't show how things would go without her.

It's nice that she's finally accepting that she can fall in love and that's part of life. But I'd still like the ending to be a little more closed and less abrupt. Sadly there also wasn't a peek of how it'd turn out without her.

I... am slowly getting used to the "open endings"... I just imagine how I wanted her life to go on.

As a cat s*ave owner I can totally identify with her in this arc. 😆 I believe that without her the story would go overbearing CEO×small employee who unknowingly saved him. Also... I guess my problem with the open endings is me wanting to see more of her being happy.

Ngl is dang hard to mtl ancient arcs.. I can't say she was a charlatain cuz she did practice internal energy and saved people. It's the only arc that mentioned her passing away.

About the ending arc... I can only say I'm happy for her... But I do wanted to know what she decided to do from then on... like... did she bound with a system? Did she become immortal? Will she go to other worlds? What will she do?

[collapse]

Normally I dislike plots where people keep helping the MC all the time, this one is an exception. She doesn't hide behind those people but actively better herself and lives her live. You can feel clearly why people would want to help her. She gives them a reason to want to do so.

Honestly this is one of those novels the more arcs you read the more you start dreading the end of the novel. It makes you want to keep reading about her...

Ok... finished it.

All in all apart of not falling madly in love, or rather, not being shown if she did, the only real problem of this novel is the open endings. Both the arcs and the novel end like that. Is not bad since is obviously proposital... but is ANNOYINGLY FRUSTRATING to some people.

So be warned.

That's the only reason why I give 4 and not 5☆.

That aside is one of the best novels imo.

.

.

.

BUT

The translation site is a piece of sheet. To the point I'm thinking of going for mtl instead.

Spoiler

The translation is good. But they fill the site with hidden ads so if you are not careful while scrolling down you'll click it. And if you try to click the next button? Surprise, hidden ad covering it. There's aldo an ad pop-up that covers 80% of the screen when you open a new chapter. Not to mention the full creen ad that appears every couple chapters. And to finish there's the constant ad at the top.

It's so much of a pain in the arse that I'm really considering giving up reading something properly translated for mtl. I can't remember the last time the sheer amount of advertising pissed me of that much...

I've probably read all of the author's works, although I'm more partial to their BL novels. This one is just as good. Lin Dan is an interesting MC. I also love the fact that there's minimal romance and the focus is mostly just on Lin Dan's journey. However, I had to remove 2 stars because of the quality of the translation starting from the 3rd arc. It's pretty bad. I hope the site owner can look for a better translator, or even a proofreader. It's frustrating to see a good... more>> novel like this get ruined by the current translator. <<less

f*ck, this is actually really good??? Idk, I'm just so relieved to find such a good QT after going through so many so-so to terrible ones.

This is the story of a retired and experienced QTer. Or, well, she was supposed to retire. But an incident just before she was set to return to her original world gave her amnesia.

Now she's QTing again, but living her best life.

The romance is so good so far. She's always independent and strong and a total heartbreaker. She doesn't lead anyone on or anything, but... more>> such a brilliant woman... obviously she'd gather admirers, y'know? So yes. No romantic feelings on her end, just a number of satisfying pining and admiration on the male leads end. I approve. Lol. <<less

Good time waster but FL is a mary su and villains are petty and ridiculous. Shallow tensions are created before the faceslapping to create a false sense of satisfaction and it is just there to conclude the plot before FL migrate to the next world. I can’t bother to finish because every arc has basically the same characters and villains except with a fresh coat of paint and setting.

I did not regret reading this novel through MTL at all. Through all the FL transmigration novels that I have read this is the most enjoyable as well as unique. There are flaws to this novel including, in my own opinion, a bit of an abrupt end which left much to be desire. MTL 3.5-4☆ easy to read

Review: 5☆

Definitely a good read. FP got great character. She's smart and hardworking. Ruthless when she should be ruthless, Kind when she should Kind. What I like about this is, in every world, its like some kind of a reset on her memories and feelings. Except being able to still have the knowledge/ability she has gain on the previous lives she lose all memories of previous worlds. However, if she didnt learn or have a certain knowledge/ability previously, she will work her *ss off to learn... more>> it, to master it, to be perfect at it. I like that she's not just some cliche cold heart, cold face, not falling in love, only solo flight althroughout. She blends with every world. She takes care of those people the original host owes and cared for. I like that she doesnt exactly have a task, but her task is mostly only to live well. I love that she falls in love naturally. I love that she smiles and laughs and blush. I love that to gain ability she is really cruel to herself and really works hard. She OP in a way that its not annoying.

Spoiler

I dont know if I can call her OP, because she's been beaten, she sometimes have moments of helplessness and almost got r*ped a couple of times.

Well, I don’t know if this novel is good or not because I couldn’t make it past the first chapter. The translation is... not unreadable, but it definitely needs improvement (and a dedicated editor). I found myself rereading sentences multiple times in confusion.

Good luck to those who decide to continue reading.

This is a good quick transmigration novel. The reviews previous to mine have enumerated why. I liked that it focused on how she developed as a person but also I wish that the author could dial down the attitude of the fan boys she gets in each world.

I also wish that the side characters would be less of a garnish and more of a supporting flavor in the story. The villains were pretty standard in my opinion and although as much as I enjoyed the story thus far, it got... more>> tiring for me towards the end.

Make no mistake it is a good novel. Enjoyable to read with good character growth from our protagonist. I just am not a fan of having a suitor chase her around. The villain's attitude in each world is standard jealousy and lack flavor to me. I'm really glad that this didn't end up to be a 1k chapter story. <<less

Good story. Enjoyable read. The element of the protagonists memories are getting wiped for each new world is an interesting premise, too. but a couple things to consider going in.

1: Are Emotions Cringe?

Our protagonist, Lin Dan, is a sociopath. She has very low regard for others, a low regard for human life, and difficulty emphasizing, and very rarely forms external attachments that she isnt comfortble cutting off at a moments notice with no hesitation. She also has a very analytical mind, can learn very quickly and - most importantly, can... more>> act very very well. While her mind is being wiped every world, it's important to remember she has thousands of years of subconscious experience.

Though she herself doesn't seem to realize it, her motivations always line up exactly with whatever the last wishes of the previous host were- but she has very little reason to care about any of these people (which we see in how she acts) and in all other aspects is a generally uncaring person. Suspicious.... I hope the overarching plot addresses this.

2: Requiem for an OGFL

The "OGFl" character for each arc is less and less antagonistic or deserving of the punishments they get. If you put yourself in her shoes, knowing what she knows and the previous actions of that arc's pre-transmigration Lin Dan, there isn't very much that a normal or even moral person would do differently. She generally acts with genuine honor, and doesn't cheat even when she has the opportunity to. She also seems to have some sort of "mental compulsion" to act in opposition to Lin Dan - it's described as a sudden inner force so strong it almost forces her to move. All the most antagonistic moves made against Lin Dan are made by people around her orbit, generally acting without her knowledge. From the bits we get from her perspective, it seems like her moral compass fluctuates between "benign self-interest" (wants to better her lot in life as long as it doesn't hurt others - also known as a normal person -) at the lowest and "genuine desire to work towards the greater good."

The only outlier is the military arc, where she schemes a little bit. What she does is by no means altruistic, but if you step back, the goals of her plot are: don't marry the man she doesn't like, give that man to her sister who (as far as she knows) has a massive crush on him, and marry upwards. The one time she draws someone else into the scheme other than Lin Dan, it's an accident she couldn't have predicted. I don't know about you, but I wish I had an enemy like that! In the dropped timeline of that arc, the man treats her sister awfully and doesn't give them a chance - but that's not Fls fault. As far as she knows, he's a sweet guy. Later in that timeline, she reports on his secret plans to her husband. I don't know if I'd blame her for that. If your husband's enemy keeps coming around to tell you all his deepest secrets and battle plans, I think it's pretty obvious you'd share that info with the husband. She wasn't sleeping with him or anything. This later causes disaster to the nation, but again, how could she know? In the end, she falls short to ruin because she just isn't as good as Lin Dan. She tries her best, but she can't *quite* measure up to the millenia old genius sociopath that follows her from life to life- who surpasses her in whatever she thinks she's best at in that life when shes at her peak, before crushing her. Her memory is wiped so she never learns, and she's compelled to set herself against this demon whenever they meet. Like, this is the villain? This sounds like an ironic torment you'd get from an evil genie or something.

In the end, we root for Lin Dan cause she's fun, and she's the protagonist of the story. That's fine if that's what you want to write, but it's kind of ironic that a story (and genre) built around subverting the roles of hero and villain being assigned by fate, would literally be doing the exact same thing.

Also the Chinese Medicine stuff in the doctor arc was kind of weird lol. All those authors notes malding about western medicine existing were kind of funny. Like, I don't think that the author is complementing traditional medicine like they think they are when the first step of the treatment is to "circulate your ki". Last I checked most doctors can't do that... I'll stick with western medicine till then. <<less

I enjoyed most of the arcs, especially the earlier ones, but Lin Dan can be somewhat of a Mary Sue. She exels at everything she puts her mind to and has men falling head over heels for her because she's smart, pretty, hardworking, confident, and not a boot-licker who relies on men. Which are traits a lot of women have, but are made to seem like incredibly unique traits that seperate Lin Dan from the rest of the "common women".

Pretty good for the first few arc but dragging in the later arc. I like the MC at first for focusing on her own skills and jobs. Little to no romance but towards the end there suddenly a heap of romance slapping at me, like I get she can't be a monk without love at all but come on. At a time she got so OP that nothing seems like an obstacle which was understandable since she retains all the things she learned from the previous world but it just... more>> made the problem she should have faced into... clouds, poof gone. I don't like the ML... all of them, no matter which characters in the arcs. I dunno why, I usually go for the wolf pup, black belly, or even over bearing CEO. I actually felt they hindered MC lol! Oh and the MC's cooking was so overrated. Just by cooking MC had solved half of her problem. The model arc was filled with half naked, pe*vert creepy scene IMHO. The pride arc was also the same. The mother child arc was great! If only someone can realize how the hell someone change that much within 2 months?? Suddenly had all the connections?? And many more plot holes but okay. I truly wish to read more of the villains retribution. The village bully arc left us with no clue whatever happen to them, whatever happen to her grandpa too BTW, I read mtl maybe some were lost in translation 😉. Anyway it's pretty good.... if you're bored... like me <<less

It was nice from weak to strong. I like it, some have ML some not, the ML is not jerk, and I like how the author portrait MC, she was beauty and strong. What I like the most is the "war arc" or "general arc". It was the best. The rest is actually okay but ya.... The same old song

I've found and read many novels using this site, but this story convinced me to finally make an account. As of 5 July 2021, I read all the translated chapters available here and then found a good mtl site to finish the story.

If you love transmigration stories like me, then this story should be right up your alley.
Spoiler

In the beginning of the story, the MC completes the typical task of collecting points and decides to sever things with her transmigration partner (who in a past world met an alleged ordinary soul, fell in love with her, and brought her with them on all their future missions--leading the MC to suffer from his lover's white lotus behavior even into the system world). But, when our MC tries to return to her original world, an accident occurs leading to a new transmigration story. Now, the MC does not have a system, is not forced to play a role, and is free to live her own life. However, as others have mentioned, she starts each new life "fresh" without memories of her actions/loved ones in her past lives (although she does have rare glimpses, impressions, and/or feelings in later arcs of people treating her well.) Instead, in each arc, we find the MC slowly builds up her arsenal of skills--many of them helping her out in future worlds. Later, this is explained by our MC to those who question her as "bumping her head" and somehow knowing the skills she needs. Thus, over many lives, our MC becomes OP! Also, there does not seem to be a ML who follows her from life-to-life or world-to-world. I say "there does not seem, " because I find many of the MLs she does fall in love with to be similar in nature and it would not surprise me if many of the people she interacts with are souls like her who are unconsciously traveling. It's a little unclear, but she may be reliving, or redoing the lives she acted out before when she was forced to follow the system's script (choosing now to follow her path, lead a different life, and exceed the role she given by improving her life, the lives of those around her, and each world's status/condition) and/or fusing with new, or different alternate selves scattered across the 3, 000 worlds.

[collapse]

I enjoyed this story! If I have a complaint, then it would be that none of the arcs--even the final one--give us a good dénouement, or conclusion. Although, the problems and issues in each arc are resolved by the end, we never get a great description of the rest of her life--almost always--we move on instantly to the next world. Similarly, I wish the author gave us more details on--
Spoiler

what exactly happened in the beginning of the story to cause her to amnesia travel from world, whether some of the people around her are incarnations of characters she's met before, and, if, in the end, the "MLs" who betray her for a white lotus and the white lotus characters themselves in many of the arcs are incarnations of the same souls. Essentially, give us some extras which fill in the details a little more!

[collapse]

If you've finished this novel and want to read a similar story, I think either "Green Tea Specialist Male Lead" or "Retired Villainess Transmigrates into a Cannon Fodder" are good stories with similar plot threads. The main differences between them are that this story:
Spoiler

follows an amnesiac, system-less, female MC who is essentially learning how to love herself by getting revenge in the best way, i.e., succeeding in life; meanwhile, in both "Retired Villainess Transmigrates into a Cannon Fodder" and "Green Tea Specialist Male Lead" the stories follow a male MC with a "system" or a female MC with a "magic mirror" who do remember their past lives and loves. If you enjoy the skill building aspect of this story, then I think "Green Tea Specialist Male Lead" is the perfect follow-up, but if you enjoy a female MC is learning how to self-love, then "Retired Villainess Transmigrates into a Cannon Fodder" is the better option.

Good story, each arc is different and taught her different things, some arcs gave her an easy start, some are hard to read through

Spoiler

for example, the arc where she was r*ped by the serial rapist/killer then had her body dumped into a lake, of course she managed to get out and took revenge that very night, this arc was the most unpleasant for me, there's a typical overbearing cunning blackbellied guy in the arc who tries to pursue her (he's not the lead), and there's a cruel classmate who gang r*ped a girl until she had her uterus damaged and removed, he tried to r*pe the MC as well but failed since MC had already grew stronger at this point. At least the ML was pleasant.

Then there's the arc in the zombie apocalypse world where she was nearly r*ped by 2 of her teammates, but was saved by another female (who was under ML's control) later it turns out that the female still had her own free will, only that she couldn't disobey ML's orders, so when she saved MC from being r*ped and said that she doesn't like seeing women being bullied, it's her true words, despite the fact that she didn't really like the MC before. The ML was a bit unpleasant for me, a clean freak, a very annoying one.

Each arc have different ML, some have decent personality, some are not.. Not every arc have the MC end up with the ML. The MC slowly grows feelings throughout the arcs and managed to find happiness and let go of the original guy in the first chapter, though the guy was the one in love with her instead but knew he didn't deserve her.

[collapse]

Overall, it was an enjoyable read, but the ending is a bit depressing for me.

Spoiler

she and 48 other people from the world in the first chapter sacrificed themselves to save the world from collapsing, the ML regretted it a lot for hurting her before.. MC also helped the ML finished his mission, so he managed to return to the system. Then the ML somehow found the MC again in the system headquarters but she was in a coma, she woke up and disappeared when the ML rushed to see her, only leaving footprints, but the ML was satisfied enough that she came back. The novel ends there.

The ending is a bit disappointing for me, I kinda hope that the MC get reincarnated in a new world and live happily there or maybe get to return to her original world and start over, kinda want to know what her original world is like.

I finished this up via mtl after reading all the translated chapters available. I really enjoyed it. A lot of the worlds are very unique, we saw modeling, biochem, designing along with the more standard cooking and cultivation. While I still long for the story where someones last regret is not winning the chili cook off, I appreciated the fact that Lin Dan's story in the various worlds is about her and her growth as a person. There were also some good female friendships latter on that I really appreciated... more>> too. I also really liked the ending and felt it was set up nicely <<less

Do not expect any romance in this novel. It's about growth of a soul living through many life, each with different roles, experiencing happiness and sorrows, and learning lessons from those experiences. It's about learning to love, to be loved and to let go. And, love isn't necessarily a romantic love, but can also be love to parents, children, friends.

This work is probably more suitable for mature audiences. My favorite is the general arc and the doomsday arc. The mother arc is overdone, but overall it was a very fulfilling... more>> reading for me. My only wish is that the ending can be bit sweeter and not so abrupt.

PS: Only prologue by iso translation is worth to read. Others are getting worst as the chapters progress, to the point that they are not any better than mtl. <<less

A unique aspect about this novel is that MC will always forget her previous life whenever she reincanate thus there's no entanglement with her past relationships in the new life. Then she will start anew being cold to everyone, but still full of a sense of responsibility towards the identity she took.

However she never forgot her previous skills. If you don't like OP characters you will not like this, MC is too OP it goes against the heaven. In every world she will acquire new skills and become more and... more>> more monstrous. Now I dont mind OP characters, but author don't really have a sense of 'time' and 'logic' so for some people it will be hard to read about 15 year old kids being the best in the world.

I persist for so long eventhough the characters are bland (OP characters almost always bland) and the trajectory of the plot is bland (OP characters bulldoze everything with their OPness so there's no sense of crisis) because the the profession she took for every reincarnation is different and thus her journey always a bit different for every life.

All of these are not so damming because it does not matter too much is the characters and the plot is too cliche - I read webnovels for the cliches. The problem is author insistence in fillers. They write about things that no one cares to reach that word count. For example when she was a cook 3/4 of some pages are just details of how to cook food. When she was a doctor half of the page is just a list of medical ingredients. I persist in reading for 290+ pages but I can't continue more because in this entertainment world half of the story is cooking ingredients, half the story is medical terms, and half of the story are peanut gallery of comments from weibo! Its just too exhausting to skip so much text of drivels to get little nuggets of plot so I bail.

Anyway the first two world are pretty good so you can try reading and see how far you can go until you get bored with it. <<less
