Thousands of years ago, a small planet collided with Earth and destroyed the world. In five days, ninety percent of humans had been wiped out, leaving behind the last ten percent to earnestly struggle on death’s door.

Jinyu was one of those people who survived. Due to a special heredity trait, he could understand beast language. After the apocalyptic disasters, Jinyu had been living for a month with the few small beast brothers that he’d subdued. Previously, Jinyu had thought that he would live like that until he died. Yet, inexplicably, one day he opened his eyes to find that he was in a monstrous, lawless world that was full of vitality and life.

Jinyu’s transmigration into the future let him skip over almost one hundred thousand years. In the year 106825, beasts rule the galaxies and ‘pure’ humans are extinct. As the one and only ‘pure’ human left in the entire universe, Jinyu braves this new chaotic world to find a place for himself and thus begins to work at Beast Store number 138.

I enjoyed the interactions between the beasts and Jinyu. I'm very partial to stories where they give actually characterize the pets/beasts, reminding me a bit of Monster Pet Evolution.

The premise of the beast shop itself remind me Pet Shop of Horror, which is an old favorite of mine.

There are certainly aggravating parts in the plot - drama, dogblood.. But it's an HE~~

There are some holes and loose-ends that doesn't make this an easy read.

The translation isn't very clean, which didn't the issues (?)

For me, the story itself is a 3. +1 for the beasts.

Though I'm really interested in this story, I'll drop this. The reason I chose this book was to see beasts selling meng or interaction between owner and the beasts. But poor translation make me confused about every single chapters and I have to read twice or thrice to understand (tho I don't understand, think the way that'll be reasonable way) and gave me headache. I wish translator get editor and that editor can save the book or the other one pick this story up again to translate. Though it sound... more>> mean, I rather read MTL instead of in name translation work. <<less

This story was pretty funny, although the romance wasn't too focused on, it was more like an extra treat... the story mostly focuses on the MC and his antics as he makes a niche for himself in this world he was thrown into and the pets are pretty cute.

A scrapped star was because there were some loose ends I feel the author should've wrapped up instead of forgotten, although it probably would not impact the story by much my curiosity just keeps scratching at me so I can't just shelve... more>> it off to the side.

The scrapped stars mostly had to do with translation tho, there was inconsistency with the words, for example, some characters names would change every so often through the whole novel like it would change from the name to its literal meaning back and forth [Ye Huang <-> Night Phoenix, this could be confusing for some people if they didn't know what Ye and Huang literally translated into], or some of the content just didn't make sense as if the mtl editor did not bother reading over what they typed as they rearranged the mtl they copied over.

The other issue I had, and I didn't bother to cross-check with the original, so Idk if it's the mtl-er or the author, but it was supposedly stated that ML was a little under 1000 years old because he was trapped and experimented upon since he was born in beast-form for 800 (?) years or something, but then when they found his grandfather it was changed to a time span of roughly 30 years instead? Because at some point, ML was like oh I'm just under 1000 years old but MC you're over 100k years old etc.... maybe that's the author's problem of not keeping track or ML was joking with MC at the time who knows.

I'm going to give this a 5, but if I could, I would give a 4.5. The plot of this story is surprisingly nice, but the MC is just so OP that it kind of makes the story super boring. It also doesn't make sense that the ML and MC are super OP but can be tricked so easily...

It also doesn't make sense how the MC repeatedly is saved by the necklace, there's no backstory to the necklace! The other characters in the story kept talking about how bad it would be if people knew that he had Earth (or something similar to it) but there's really no reason for the author to add this since nothing important relating to that happens. The MC's "dream" of humans living back on Earth is also only touched upon once... So there's so many things that the author wrote but didn't expand upon or just left it, talk about plot holes.

You also can't really see how/why the MC loves the ML? Like the MC says he does and shows it, but there's not a certain time where both their feelings were clear and said so that the readers could understand.

Apart from all this, it's actually a really fluffy and light-hearted novel, not very descriptive; which is good so that you don't get lost in the paragraphs and paragraphs of details. It's nice seeing how he (literally) heals the beasts and helps them out. They're like a large warm family c:

I would recommend for a short read, but keep in mind to treat the logic in this novel with a grain of salt. <<less

There are some confusing parts but generally, the novel is real cute with all its meng beasts. The MC is hilarious when conning others. Until Chap 38, the highlight is more on the MC's interaction with his beasts. This is cute, funny and is worth reading to reduce stress hahaha

This actually 3.8 they can be 4.0 buttttttt the hell that chaotic way of writing a novel, I'm glad, my mother language was not English, I can just skip parts that I don't know or I will be fuuued up, the idea of this novel and comedy on it was good I would like to give author applause, but be careful this novel had many confusing dialogues, still, you can finish it tho, and in my opinion, the rap* in this novel was not kind of rap* that explicit tormenting... more>> or something, they just do it in force kind of "no but yes you can tsundere thing" if you like possessive gong the type "my partner die you and I accompany him" then this novel was for you.. <<less

The translations in half of the novel was like mtl, it confused me to read it, however english is not my main language. But it's become more better in the last half of the novel.

I like this novel so much, especially the MC's personality (JinYu). I have laughed almost in all chapters.

Just wanted to say something to some of the 'human' should I say 'reader' that doesn't have 'common sense' at giving "review"?

I say, never bring your reality way of thinking when reading a 'story' or 'novel'!! All that we are reading are fiction! And everybody has their own preference! So read the tags before commenting. Don't like it? Then get lost! Don't just leave bad review when you don't even know the full story!!

⭐⭐ Stars for the beasts- (ﾉ◕ヮ◕) ﾉ*.✧*.｡*♡The ones that were given screen time have interesting, adorkable personalities.

⭐ Star for the Mc- Not absolutely OP; it seems this way bcz of his adaptability, shamelessness and deep hatred for the owners/companions of the beasts. Has a power that evolves a but later but it still came from a WEAK BODY, things coud've gotten more chaotic if the ML wasn' around. There wasn't a backstory of this came about, but you don't really need know since it would make you feel that... more>> way regardless.... unless you don't have feelings ಠ_ಠ

⭐ Star for the good owners/companions and the ones that turned over a new leaf after a good face-slapping.

Hmmm... Half of star for ML- Not perfect but even so, there was NO WAY to cover up what he did earlier in the relationship. At least he was a good shield and personality toned down and softened a bit later since that the MC wouldn't have been immune to counterattacks from his enemies and the ones that was too take advantage of his power.

Personally, I think it would've been funnier and add a bit more of a cover-up if the MC could've gotten to become a therapist for beasts. I also don't get why there some things that were down as important, were practically dropped and then replaced by something that wasn't really necessary, nor was it given more depth at all. Not completely satisfied, but it was still entertaining. (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

P.S; The translation wasn't that bad, you can still be able to understand what happening, especially from my experience. <<less

This was pretty satisfying to read, and there were a few times when the plot twists came so fast I got whiplash. The MC is shameless AF and it was great. He used his shamelessness + brains + special abilities to go from flat broke to (probably) the richest human in the universe in the span of a year and he had me cackling the whole way.

You could argue that the ML was a tad flat at times but I liked him. He was soft for the MC and that... more>> was cute.

There was a couple of inconsistencies here and there, but it was fine just to ignore them. Some things were also overlooked or not explained and that's why I didn't give this story 5 stars. Overall though, I'm glad I read this. It was fun. <<less

I enjoy reading this novel. The MC so shameless and so smart that his enemies angry to death. His beast so cute and ML not like other ML that so possessive to the point that their partner have no freedom. All in all I laugh a lot of this novel. It's worth it.
