IDK about others but I really think this one is a masterpiece. This novel made me feel exhausted mentally and physically (and maybe spiritually). I fell too deep and it made me feel hopeless. Overall a worth reading novel.

I've read many novels like this before but they always kind off turn me off.

Because, it's always ML who likes the MC. ML always do any means to imprisoned MC. But, men~ I don't see what, or how ML fall in love with an MC who likes to always contradict him...

But this novel...

Who can feel mc's charm

He loves ml, and baceause of that he is willing to compromise. He just wants a little freedom, because he likes the sun, which is why the ML locks him up.

You can tel, MC psychological struggles, and how he decides everything.

His a psychologist, maybe that's why he carried it all the way until the end.

I love everything in this novel.

But you will surely suffers from excessive crying.

Wow. I’m fine with all that violence and triggering stuff. I just hate how it goes. I would give it a much lower score, but it was enjoying to read and I’m glad it was made.

I really dislike the ending. Although it is labelled a “happy ending” I think it is more of a bad ending. CanSheng doesn’t learn and YunSheng keeps suffering. I think it would’ve been better if YunSheng actually died, and CanSheng realised his mistakes. Oh well.

despite all that, it was an interesting read, a bit different from the usual rebirth novels. It’s so frustrating and painful seeing all the things YunSheng goes through.

It kind of reminds me of “Gaze at the Scenes of Debauchery” which I highly recommend you read!

this story wants to be taken seriously. It gives you an overly dramatic premise - and while this might work with other authors, this one apparently didn't do a lot of research. Suspension of disbelief-wise. Nah.

plus, a bad portrayal of mental illness which further promotes and romanticizes stereotypes. Anyway, if you're gonna write about a violent deranged person (which in reality is a very rare case), you better do it as excellent as silence of the lambs or something.

other stories taken up by this group though, I give a thumbs... more>> up. Which is probably why this one feels like a disappointment. <<less

i can say manythings about story and otherthing but just....i really hate the ending. really hate it. its better if he was dead and other suffered from it. so I cant force myself to write about story. I read many novel many of them were bad some of them were good, some of them made me laught or cry. I think I cant say bad things about novels with special story line cause its their world they can write it however they like or I dont have much Competence to judgeship such Complicated and deep story. but at least I want to say something about the ending. one of the comments say that its sad end and I think its true. I dont hate uke or seme, they both Miserable but I think at least uke should be dead and seme gave karma for his doing. the happy end is really laughable to such a dark story. then whats the mining of the story? seme just want to see him 2 days dying and after that they live toghater happily? with all of the terrible things that he did to you? its really ridiculous. and I kinda understand uke but his forgiveness? reelly is ridiculous. yes you couldnt do anything and didnt want to do su*cide. but forgive him? then you are really dumb. and what about the deep affection that you have toward seme after he cuts your leg? are you 13 years old? I know you didnt have anyone that love you deeply but I think seme really didnt do such think to make you love him so much. and more ridiculous is seme bahavior. he didnt trust uke even once and at the end he changes suddenly.:/

so in my opinin the whole story after ch 91 is nonesene. the story and the MC and ML behavior

best end is ch 91 and you shouldnt read more. cause its get on your nerve.

but I dont say that this is a bad story. I read it in 1 day and I really love the scene and story line. but I cant accept the ending, and I dont re-read it only because that,

WHAT'S WITH YOU ANDNYOUR DAMN OBSERVATION SKILLS?! Can't you see he's being force and is handled roughly! Look at his expressions!

Okay, I shouldn't expect much. I've seen far more worst than this but they're too blind. This really not true love readers, okay? ML had a tragic past and grab the little light given to him while MC accepted ML because of his tragic past which made him needed and worth something. But I must say that the realistic in this story is ML's abusive violence towards MC as seen as love by ML is what a yandare is. <<less

A lot of the reviews that rate it well do so because it’s ‘dark’ or ‘psychological’ but Jesus this was just bad writing. The characters have 0 personality and are SO 1 dimensional. Real people are nuanced and multi-faceted and in a book that was really true to the ‘psychological’ category should have played to that. Instead we got characters who all have 1 sole reason for every single action in their lives and are incapable of learning/ moving on from the literal one defining moment of their life.

So no,... more>> not only is it disturbing, it’s a bad book and I would not recommend. There are many books with dark stories that do a much better job that this actual dumpster on fire <<less

I cant stand this novel at all. The plot is lacking, illogical and the characters have bland personalities except maybe the psychopath ML. Honestly I'm into BD*M as well but the smut scenes feel more like torture given to war criminals. The ML has always been beyond saving but the MC js wants to act as a Saint and ends up with Stockholm syndrome. While I'm all for angst or a bittersweet story, this novel is just bad. I get how the writer wants to write on dark themes but... more>> the novel js feels so bland.

Read this if you enjoy a mentally ill MC and an animalistic ML who have no chemistry whatsoever. To ppl who gave this 5 stars, I'm feeling really worried for yall.

This novel is kind of like a poorly executed killing stalking. So if the concept of a mentally unstable gong kidnapping a shou and subsequent Stockholm syndrome appeals to you, just reread/read killing stalking.

I'm okay with a problematic relationship being the center of a work of fiction, but there needs to be nuance and tact when handling such a complex topic. And this novel had none of that.

The reason killing stalking works and was an effective psychosocial horror manhwa was the depth and development of Sang woo and Yoon Bum.... more>> However, in this novel the MC and ML are entirely one dimensional. There's no depth to their characters. Because of this, all the torment the MC goes through isn't that emotionally impactful. Yes, it's pretty tragic and I felt icky reading it, but I didn't have the same emotional investment I would if he was a well developed character. I didn't even feel very strongly about the ML. I love to hate on scum gongs, but I couldn't muster any strong emotions towards him. He just felt like a childish cartoon villain.

Additionally, I think the MCs "love" for the ML occurred too quickly. If it was better developed, it would've been more believable.

I also felt the author of this novel romanticized their relationship, which is more disturbing than anything that happened in this novel, if I'm gonna be honest. I'm kind of disturbed with the author's victim blaming and insistence that it's the MCs fault for ending up a prisoner. It's not his fault for being too "forgiving", it's literally 100% the MLs fault. You could claim that the text only states this sense it's from the MCs POV (and he blames himself), but the author literally blames the MC in the final authors note. So yeah, , , it's pretty nasty.

I also despise the lack of a reasonable character; literally all the characters affirm that the ML and MC love each other, even though they obviously don't. It would be a much needed addition to have one of the MCs goons, when they had a POV, to go "you know, this is pretty toxic and isn't love".

this is a really quick read, some of the chapters are literally only a paragraph long. So if you don't care about one dimensional characters and are fine with seeing the MC suffer throughout the whole novel (literally the whole time, he never gets a break the poor thing), then go ahead and read. <<less

This novel... is not for the faint of heart.

It's brutal what the ML does to the MC.

I'm happy though that the MC chose not to love the ML in the end. But am sad the MC could not escape from the ML.

A psycho ML with a doormat MC. Good translation. It’s a novel about a twisted love. The MC is forced way too often. And not only by the ML. The other rapist should have suffered more. Lot of violence which is supposed to show love. If this makes you uncomfortable, do not read. It’s a love story of two crazies. Good in its own way.

I give it a 4 though I thought of giving it a 5. Truly tyrant but not tyrant enough. It's more like a psychopath dripping with anxiety and insecurity. It's saddening though it's not about power suppressing and unwilling struggling but a full submission, it is still within my cup of tea.

Anyway, big thanks to the author, translator & editor. U've work hard.,

This novel had me throwing up and bawling, so much tragedy and pain, it's mostly one-sided. Honestly I wanted to vent commenting on every chapter but I restrained myself bc if I don't like it then I should stop reading it right? But I kept hoping it could get better or maybe there could be a different ending. It's Fantasy but it made me think so much about life... anyways thank u very much for your hard work :)

Ridiculous, MC is so weak and broken at the end that he should just die and give the last FY to all this entitled characters. THAT MISTAKE THAT IS CALLED ML IS WORTHLESS PIECE OF SH*T it's shown that he cares and trust his comrades a lot but he treats MC like an object, pet or toy just like a child would. Of course there is some bulls**t trauma explanation, and ML comrades explain some things to MC but basically nobody respect and threats MC as a human being. And... more>> that dum*a** is doing absolutely nothing!!!! People warned him, there was something about running away, (self-harm???) etc. The thing that frustrated me the most is that MC doesn't love himself, he doesn't respect himself and still has hope and naivety (even when he is sad, depressed and cowardly) that just makes him look s*upid. It should have had a Bad Ending in the truest sense, he should have killed himself and left a list for ML because ML didn't change at all, didn't realize that he truly did something bad and that his behaviour was disgusting. I think that MC and ML are a really bad for each other, MC is too weak to be equals with ML and, ML is too psychotic for healthy normal relationship. <<less

The prologue and tags clearly depicts the story. So for you who considers reading this but still lurking in the reviews to see whether this is worth reading or not, I suggest you read the prologue first. The prologue clearly sums up the story nicely. There's no redemption. This is just a story about dark, gory, and twisted love.

The reason I'm giving this novel 3 star is because in the middle, the plot is getting too repetitive before it finally escalates near the end. I didn't have the patience going... more>> through the repetition so I kind of skimmed the middle of story for a bit. <<less

I've seen comments that said this is yandere or stuff like that. I mean I guess? I don't think so in my opinion.

This Nov I have avoided since its not something I'm used to. Sure I'm all for the kinks but it's still psychological.

The narrative is really interesting and the main characters are all f*cked up in their own way.

... more>> This is a lot better than broken angel which I don't like the ending. It's not that it's tragic just I wasn't all that okay with it is all.

All in all the narrative is pretty understandable though you may feel disturb or frustrating due to some chapters. It is not suppose to be a romance that you can relate to or be sympathetic. It's a very twisted romance so expect some things that are either hard to swallow or borderline unhealthy even maybe physically abusive at times.

This is the story that it is okay to not like the characters but maybe enjoy how destructive their relationship is.

In conclusion this is not a novel for everyone, so if you are not used to this be prepared. <<less

My heart was bleeding the whole time I was reading it. I felt sadness, heart break and emptiness. My heart aches for MC. And finally no matter how much tragic or sad past both of the semes had, I hate both of them. Honeslty I think the other seme didn't deserve that ending after all he did that to his lover's son.

This novel is good, if you're into reading novels like this because it contains abuse, r*pe, etc. ML adored MC but in a twisted way that made me think that the only way the MC would gain freedom is dying.

This actually made me cry because they could have a normal love life but DAMN.

The part that really gets me is when the ML made MC cripple like WTF.
