The older sister flees from her wedding to be with her lover, and her younger sister is forced to take her place in marrying a very powerful man.

As luck would have it, she ends up transmigrating into the body of that younger sister.

Although the man that she weds is very powerful, he’s the irredeemable final villain.

All villains are doomed to a bleak ending. And, as this villain’s wife, she’s afraid that her ending won’t be good either.

Fortunately, the older sister had gone back in time after having experienced a lifetime of suffering. This prodigal daughter returns to the turning point of her life. Pointing at her younger sister, she demands for her younger sister to hand over her husband.

Looking at this beautifully crying older sister, Ye Zhen swiftly yields and says, “Older sister, don’t worry. I haven’t even done anything with brother-in-law!”

To her shock, she later discovers that she’s pregnant.

With tears in her eyes, her older sister says, “Didn’t you say that nothing happened between the two of you?”

Ye Zhen looks at the great villain that doggedly pursues her. She is utterly and totally doomed.

There’s a great villain lying next to her, and she’s pregnant with a mini villain. How’s she suppose to survive?!

Later on, as Ye Zhen watches the great villain putting the baby down and changing the diaper, she sighs. “There’s nothing that can be done. I’ve already missed the golden opportunity to turn things around. How can I leave now?”

It's entertaining, and the MC is a very interesting

Spoiler

Despite already having money and not having to work, she after having the baby looks for her own path

I also liked how the ML supports her a lot,

[collapse]

a novel where the bad guys receive their karma, if you like happy endings, drama, romance, read it, you won't regret it

I love the FL - she is definitely not the type to just sit and wallow in misery. She will take action when needed be and her relationship with the ML and her in laws is amazing - a supportive environment.

I think the stroy is interesting.

There are double reincartions. MC only knew her past life before her death. Naturally life continued after her death. Things that happend after her death, she didn't know. So the story background is definately interesting. Moreover, what the MC remembered and what the heroin remembered were different in their own prespective views.

And there was definately NO r*pe! And it was only one time. And the ML in this life hadn't done anything bad! I am very sure he is trying to 'the best husband' title

Well.. I still had a long way to go. But I decided to stop for a while because the chapters that I'm reading right now is kind of new arc (?) because ... more>>
Spoiler

there is new antagonist

[collapse]

This is sort of spoiler for the first arc (?)

Spoiler

The older twin sister is a reincarnator while the younger twin sister is a transmigrator

[collapse]

Both of them could be main characters actually if they fight for their way..

And one more thing for the first arc (?)

The ML did NOT r*pe (!) the FL.. She just misunderstanding her own dream.. He did gave the FL a drug (sleeping pill). But that's because she had trouble with sleeping (insomnia) and he thought that her body can't stand from overworked during daytime so he wish that she at least could get a good night rest..

The ML is totally a husband material I TOLD YOU! I want him too?

I think you should read all the first arc (?) chapters before make your own conclusion. And don't dropped it before you know the truth and write the gibberish review..

Btw the first arc (?) ended at chapter 114 if you want to give it a try.

It's not bad although some part of it seem cliche..

I'm at chapter 125 right now and the new antagonist are annoying.. Might continue it again later.. <<less

Ok so, a bunch people reviewing this kept saying that the ML r*ped the FL. First of all, no he didn't.

Spoiler

It was actually the female lead the came on him and he couldn't do anything about it because she was drunk and he was disabled and the dreams that she was having was not the ML raping her it was memories from the drunk night nothing else and also the sleeping pills he gave her was to help her sleep because she kept have trouble sleeping and sometimes had nightmares.

[collapse]

This novel is really good and I recommend it but the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I felt they kept dragging the plot and there just some unnecessary parts in it.

The summary kind of ruined and spoiled some parts of the story for me. <<less

I read this in spite of people saying it's about r*pe. But... it's really not. MC is just an unreliable narrator. It's pretty funny all in all. The ending is pretty fluffy and cute. I like how the ML respects the FL a lot

Spoiler

that even years after marriage, he didn't push her to "consummate the marriage" as some novels like to do.

[collapse]

The villains aren't quite villains as expected. There aren't a lot of dog blood in this novel (as compared to some), but enough to keep the novel spicy and exciting. I wish that there was an epilogue (or a longer one or with some side stories) because I feel like I want more FL + ML fluff. Ahhh, they're super cute.

Basically. TL;DR: MC is unreliable narrator. Don't trust her POV too much. Trust me, no r*pe involved. <<less

Ye Zhen was never r*ped. All those sexy dreams she had stemmed from their one encounter wherein SHE was the one who forced herself on Lu Beichuan while drunk. The only error you can point at Beichuan was him giving her hickeys throughout the night while she is on sleeping pills as he was always trying to stop her from rolling across the bed as she is a messy sleeper and often her struggles tend to awaken his other part of the body. Also, Beichuan was rehabilitating the use of his legs, which means he can't drag his body on top of Ye Zhen or vice versa and have his way with her.

Not bad, but not good either. Definitely better than the Qidian ones where the story gets dragged out to 1000+ chapters. So the pacing in this was adequate. Other than the beginning where the MC sort of stood up for herself, the rest of the time she did nothing, and everything was left up to our ML. MC had no real "skill" that differentiates her from other people, other than her cheat of having read the story and knowing somethings, she wouldn't have been able to produce that one movie... more>> she produced. A very typical dog blood type story <<less

Dubcon? Yes.

But multiple r*pe? Seems like most just assumed it and dropped it immediately. It's false accusation. Lol.

Anyway, story is okay. But veeeery predictable. And illogical at some point.

Translation is okay, but the story's sense on time confused me multiple times.

1. There was a phrase there that the other twin was never seen for a decade. Then next chapter, it would change to a month.

2. Also when FL said she'll be gone after two days. Next chapter, it's 5 days. Wtf

[collapse]

Story is slow paced. There're more useless irrelevant lines than the plot going on I literally skipped them. I can't believe I wasted my time reading up to 121 oh god. But I like the ML. Hahaha. <<less

The novel has a good set-up. We get a sympathetic protagonist who's got a good head on her shoulders. She knows better to fall for anyone's tricks and is just bent on protecting herself. The first half of the novel is really fun because there's a whole mess of fake-wife, twin sister, half-brother and husband love square. But once that's cleared up, the conflict of the story takes a nose dive. The protagonist never faces any actual danger except for one careless incident, but by then, you get the feel... more>> that the protagonist will never suffer any defeat so you know in your heart she was never in any real danger.

The main antagonist, the uncle, wasn't a bad character. The author even redeemed him in the last chapters. There were points where the author could have dragged the story on with more drama, but they chose not to. It can be seen as wasted potential, but the initial chapters were already messy enough with conflict, so the easy breeze through of the last chapters wasn't bad.

Not the best, but not the worst. 4 out of 5 stas. <<less

Eh.

Eeeeeh. Not really a great novel, tons of cannon fodder who never seem to go away no matter how many times they're crushed, and the whole premise of the novel starts off due to noncon bullshit. The plot was dragged out way too long and the kid was annoying (loves mom, hates dad that kind of thing).

The story is good, not serious, like slice of life, not much villains to trouble our heroine, no moral questioning decisions.

Spoiler

FL gets r*ped by ML (true) gets pregnant, runs away, gets caught and accepts her fate as his wife.

its about her using her future knowledge to skip death flags and prop herself up. Villains have no definite endings.

[collapse]

overall good story, kind of pity some of the villains.

The ending was abrupt. The two most concerned characters didn't run their full course of time that left a bad taste. The build up was good the pacing was good. Characters were believable. And the little son added much fluff in the novel.

An easy read.

Whenever a novel has polarizing reviews, it tends to intrigue me. This was such a case.

Now that I’ve completed it, I’m here to do my civic duty and review...

First, let’s get the proverbial elephant out of the way: yes, the male lead forces non-consensual s*x upon our main character. Although this is not a ‘violent act’ per se—she is drugged and out of it, but he is not otherwise abusive—it is still r*pe.

Her reaction to it is incredibly blasé. Charitably, this could be because as a transmigrator, there is a... more>> certain psychological disconnect between her ‘self‘ and ‘Ye Zhen’, and she dissociates from the events as they did not, technically, happen to ‘her’, but rather to ‘the character Ye Zhen’... But this is not that smart a novel, so, realistically, it’s because the author needed a contrivance to set the plot and could not think of a better way.

This is not a revenge novel. It is a tepid transmigration romance. The main character does not actively seek to avenge the original ‘Ye Zhen’: there is very little face-slapping involved. She has a fairly passive personality and only strikes back when provoked, and then only as a countermeasure, an act of defense. Once they’re married, her relationship with Beichuan is actually pretty healthy. Sadly, because of how this relationship came about to begin with, I wasn’t much impressed.

Overall, a boring story with shallow writing. The characters I found most fascinating wound up being Lin Zhan, the nominal ‘original male lead’, and Lu Shaoyan, Lu Beichuan’s nominally ‘evil’ uncle. Neither actually appears all that much, but there is a surprising depth to these two.

Spoiler

In her haste to rid herself of the man she had once coveted but who had now become cumbersome, the returned-in-time Ye Qing informs Lin Zhan that the girl he had fallen in love with was, in fact, her younger identical twin, the original Ye Zhen. Lin Zhan unsurprisingly has something of a crisis following this revelation.

He attempts to pursue Ye Zhen and is unable to. Once he realizes there is no place for him in her life, he resigns himself ambiguously to the background—outwardly he aligns himself with the Ye family and with Lu Shaoyan, but I truly do not think this is done to harm her, or even to harm Beichuan. Rather, the Ye’s company is stolen out from under them partly due to his intervention, and Lu Shaoyan...

Honestly, I don’t know if to laugh or cry with this man. He is so profoundly bitter and sad, and for good reason, too. But ‘evil’ he is not.

The story, for these two, concludes one cool spring night in the parking lot of the maternity where Ye Zhen is giving birth again. Lu Shaoyan is quite miffed by this nephew of his because not only is Lin Zhan smoking inside the luxury car they’re in, he’s putting out the cigarettes using the windowpane.

I kind of desperately need a buddy comedy with these two in the lead role.

[collapse]

TL;DR There are far better transmigration romances out there. Far better revenge novels, too.

You can skip this with an easy heart. <<less

Despite how it starts out, this does actually get cute and fluffy. There are some parts that are a little lackluster but overall, it's one of my favorites linked from here. The actions of the ML while he is in a "coma" is what drops this by 1 star for me because it's a little squicky. However, after that, the story is gold.

About the dubcon mentioned by others.

Spoiler

The first time is "justified" by stating that the FL had drunkenly thrown herself at a "comatose" man. Which can be kind of icky on both fronts (he wasn't really in a coma but she didn't know that at that point) but it is also never fully detailed. Kind of mentioned in passing. While she subsequently has dreams later of sexy times, the only concrete evidence that it happens is the development of hickies (and her pregnancy) but those could be from one initial time.

It's honestly not really clear how many times they had s*x while he was supposed to be in a coma as she was given sleeping pills against her knowledge. That being said, once the ML is officially awake, he does not pursue a physical relationship with her until she shows interest. Doesn't erase the squickiness of earlier but at least it makes the ML not as terrible.

[collapse]

About the sleeping pill laced milk.

Spoiler

Mixed feelings about this as well. The FL wasn't sleeping properly and was exhausting herself caring for a "comatose" body. The original implication was it was done to help her rest but I kind of feel that this was an excuse that the author wrote for the ML. Not so he could have sexy times with her but more because it would allow him to move around without getting caught. Again, as soon as he officially wakes from his coma, he immediately stops the Butler from giving her the sleeping pills.

Also... sleeping pills are bad while pregnant but that was glossed over completely.

[collapse]

I am a little bit bothered by just how unbothered the FL was about the above two spoilers but she did have more pressing matters to be concerned with.

But like I said, once we get past the initial "in-a-coma" arc, the story gets pretty good. The ML begins outright simping for his wife and makes the decision that he'll do everything in his power to make her fall in love with him. Most of their issues are easily cleared and they do communicate (most of the time).

The only other real issue with the story is that the ending of the "villains" is rather unsatisfactory. It's a bit more true to life in that the antagonists just fade out at the end after one final hurrah but several characters were tied together for their endings and just forgotten. <<less
