Just couldnt continue to keep reading this. Maybe I set my expectations too high, so this felt such a letdown.

The idea is great - MC, who had been frozen for 25 year, awakens, and has to adapt to the futuristic world. Plus she also is a mother to many sons (biologically) , some of who are even older than her, if you don't include the time she was frozen.

Yet then we see the MC herself. Naive, childish, petty, impulsive, acts without... more>> thinking. Like what would a normal person do when they find themselves 25 year in the future? Of course they would bide their time, get their bearing straight and find whats different from before.

But not MC. The same day she wakes up she rushes out of the hospital. Doesnt even try to contact any relatives or family. 25 year has passed, yet she expects that everything is the same.

And surprise surprise when things have changed and she gets into a bad situation. Boohoo.

But wait, conveniently one of her so called sons is to the rescue, save her and let her show off.

Such a trend continues later on. She just rushes head on into situations, gets into trouble, which later gets solved by her son/s, who allow her to then show off and slap faces. She is incapable to taking care of things herself.

The relationship part isn't any better. Its the magical 'connection' between son/s and mother that makes the son/s somehow ignore all MC flaws and fulfill any of MC desires, no matter how little they have know n each other.

Literally she and the first son she met have known each other for a day, yet somehow it's normal for him to destroy people's lives, just cause they were mean to her. And then he feels such a homely feel when he sees her lazing on the couch, playing games. Meanwhile the longest conversation they held was about how it's not right to kill people (which the MC wanted) , but rather just destroying their livelihood and social life is better. <<less

How should I say this? It's cringy and I can't bear to continue.

The premise was very good and it had great potential. I just had to question the logic behind the whole thing.

Mobile phones hadn't been invented yet but cryonics technology had advanced. She had already been cured 13 years ago and was basically in a coma that remaining time and yet she hadn't aged? Unless she's put back in the freezer after being cured? Forgive me but this leap of logic is dizzying for me.

Next was her ditziness. 25... more>> years had passed. She's basically 20 years old before being frozen. What does a 20 year old antique do? Get the heck out of dodge. Excuse me but hadn't she seen how her environment had changed? She knew her way home, how to take a plane and how to take a cab. Hadn't she realized the world had changed just based on her going through airport security? Even an ancient person transmigrating to the modern world would get confused and look panicked and out of place. No one even noticed her except marveling at her age. Is she blind? In those 25 years, technology should have advanced by leaps and bounds but she wasn't the least bit curious or showed a country bumpkin excitement that would let her get noticed among the crowd.

She's calm and composed. She's too freaking calm about this!!!

I'm sorry, I'm having goosebumps by the time she met her son so I can't continue reading.

Maybe when I'm in a different mood, I'll continue. Just not right now. <<less

I binged on this series for one day and made it up to c152 solely due to the funny misunderstanding between brothers. Honestly, had this novel remained geared towards the subject of family and sci-fi fiction, maybe I would've made it until the last chapter. Unfortunately, my annoyance towards the MC made me grit my teeth through every chapter; she just feels so... soulless.

Spoiler

Really flat when it comes to personality. 152 chapters in and like... it's just a vicious cycle of her sons protecting her from the background, her feeling a bit bad for not being a mum who deserves it, and then there's all this talk about her gene which was initially what attracted me to the series. It had so much potential! WindyWind was right, this novel was quite the letdown. I kept reading on hoping, just hoping that the author would at least balance out the mystery alongside the warm familiarity of having a 'found' family. I wanted to love this novel, seriously. But as much as I love her boys, her one-dimensionality just gets on my nerves. There were slight moments of her other traits shining through which does correspond to the 'personalities' her sons grew into, but overall if you're looking for a series that won't disappoint you, then this might not be it.

I just hope I'll come across another one quite like it but with a much better planned out plot.

Even though it’s still in ch1, I would love to see the continuation and the dynamic b/w mother and sons! And I love the translation itself. Leaving a review because someone thinks that giving a 1 star without explanation is funny.

Review of story: Great concept, poorly executed. The main character is too naive and immature... which is not uncommon/unusual when you're barely past 2o, but considering she woke up 25 years later, wouldn't she have the common sense to at least talk to her doctor (Dr. Luo, I think was his name) before rushing outside? Also, what kind of hospital/institute/research lab just lets a patient of her situation (rare disease case + unexplained prolonged coma + one of the few cases of successful freezing?) just get discharged willy-nilly? They cared... more>> enough to care and keep her for 25 years, but then just lets her go without either further monitoring for relapse, issues, or at the very least integration back into a very changed world? Lastly, judging from how she's handled things thus far along the story, she's likely going to be another naïve damsel in distress waiting for one of her sons to swoop in to save her, and all that want to be independent seems fake in light of the choices she makes and how much thought--or lack thereof-- she puts into her choices, words, and actions. This last part was the most tiring to read for me that knocked 2 stars off my review. If you do not mind dumb damsels leads, this would be alright to read. If, like me, you're tired of this trope, I wouldn't bother picking this series to read.

Review of translation work: 4 stars. Great effort and links to a glossary of non-translatable terms and expressions were of great help. Not many realize it is not easy to translate as some words/terms/phrases need cultural context that is not easily converted into English, and hence they do not appreciate enough the commendable way some translators (like those on Foxholic) have kept some terms as is (romanizing them so we can pronounce them somewhat) or translate entire phrases directly and then adding links to a glossary with explanations. <<less

This is a decent novel, for light reading & leisure. Not too serious and realistic. Not suitable for people who wants a truly sci-fi or realistic types of novels.

The comedy in this novel is great, especially if it involves the 3rd son. Man, he is the best ??

I like the differences of each of her sons.
Spoiler

Like the 2nd son, he really treasure his mother a lot (and most of the time acts like a father instead lol) since he's the first to meet her and take good care of her. He also taught her a lot. What a great dad son he is.

[collapse]

I also like how she treated her sons like an old mother despite her actual mental age would be around 18-20.

The FL is mary sue since she has omnipotent sons. The only actual strength she has would be her acting skills. But think about it, if you have a powerful backer, why would you bother lifting your finger if your sons can do it instead?

And even if she wants to do something, would her sons let her? No. They would simply brush it off in front of her and do it secretly behind her back. She can't really do anything since she knows that her sons are big & know what they're doing. So she just need to lay back and enjoy life leisurely.

This novel also mention some disturbing things such as no matter how old you are, greediness & pettiness will always exist. So sad.

This novel is just too entertaining to be missed. It's more comedic than romantic that's for sure. I couldn't help laughing until my eyes got teary and my stomach hurt every few chapters ?????

It's too funny imagining 20-ish yo big shots fighting over their mother's attention and acting like toddlers.

Don't expect complex plotlines and deep character setting, because this is definitely just a light read. It's a great read nonetheless if you're looking for something to lift up your mood.

I took one star off because of MC's ignorant comment on... more>> her fourth son that basically labeled him as autistic after finding out he doesn't talk much. I have ASD, and I found this comment to be extremely offensive and ignorant, solely believing on the popular stereotypes of people with autism to make this novel sexier. It's truly an unnecessary detail made with careless research.

I took another star off because of how many unattended plot details left by the author. For example, her so called rare sickness. Technically she should not qualify as an egg donor if the cause of her symptoms weren't known. Not to mention as many have commented, it's silly how medical technology seemed to be able to preserve her life but mobile phone was just invented. There are too many sloppy details that don't make sense in this one. But hey, then again, this is a super light read that seems to be written by an amateur so we really shouldn't have expected anything. <<less

Ok so I will admit it I binge-read it whole night yesterday until I could not keep my eyes open! But what else can you do during this lockdown period!! Coming to the book, it is fantastic, the story is so feel good, the perfect thing you need to keep away the gloom of the present times. The translator is doing a fantastic job; the MTL version is not bad too. If you are looking for some fluffy read that is strictly PG 13, this is it. Not much villain,... more>> the MC is sweet, naive and most importantly motherly. The synopsis is pretty much the story. Oh, and I love the commentators that come up within the story like other modern novels; they remind so much of the Greek chorus in a Greek play; commenting on the story and taking it forward. And the way they change opinions is so like the mob of Julius Caesar. <<less

Okay. This will be my personal opinion...

I really like the story of five brothers. I like how cute their interaction is, how the mom cared for them even though half of them is older than her.

How the brothers treat their mom... The only downside for me in this novel is... The romance part...

I would've loved it more if this was focused on how thy cultivate their feelings. She hasn't spent a year being a mother. She hasn't spent a tenth of the oldest son's life... And yet she is... more>> falling in love so soon...

I understand why her sons are against their mother and HCC's relationship.

Ps... I really like 1st and 2nd brother!! Hehehehe

Okay to be honest I wrote this post so that I can vent my boiling emotions when I read the two situations that happened. My blood literally rose to the highest point when the MC made a dumb reaction on that event. I personally can't stand this. That is why I shall rant and rave that this is one of the many dumb, foolish and idiotic character I read on the many, many novels that I read.

Spoiler

where she didn't think of her identity as a 25 yr old frozen now awake lady freshmen in college and went right in the moment she woke up to the world. Why didn't the doctors help the poor girl in her situation to acclimate her on how to live this new more advance life? Won't there be accidents happening when she didn't know what to do in her place? How can she earn money when she just got into college then went into treatment right after? Are her relatives still alive? Will they help her?

I mean she is a literal walking disaster if you set her free when you ask me. And the 5 sons! What convenient plot armors the MC got. She can just ask for help from them, but no she puts it in the back burner of her head. Then they'll also conveniently show up when she got into trouble, how easy peasy was the problem solved.

The sons also somehow are strangely attached to the much younger than them mother they have. Is blood relations really that strong? Even though they are born from her donated ovaries? I mean I get it that she is your biological mother. I can accept and acknowledge that fact but you can't be too close to her when you grew perfectly fine when she didn't even witness your growth in society and didn't take care of you. Please don't spoil her like a child when you're the sons. Filial piety is fine but overly exagerated care can destroy other people's lives, okay?

I also skipped some chapters but I get the gist of it that the things just get repeat over again in later chapters so here I am. Dropped

[collapse]
It's okay as a casual read. Don't expect clear logic and sane reasoning. Just fluff and rainbow lives.

I'm still not finish shoving my overly full emotions but I'll stop here. <<less

The MC is an idiot. I understand not knowing about new inventions because she was in a coma but she doesn't understand common sense either. She acts like a complete fool and relies on her son's for every little thing that happens.

I am someone who always try to find the good things and enjoy them instead of finding every little problem and complain. Even when a MC is unlikable, I try to find other things to enjoy in a novel.

However, for once, I have to agree with most of these bad reviews..

Like someone already said : good concept, poorly done.

... more>> What truly make this story so unlikable is the MC and her interactions with her sons and the ML. Oh and her character as well.

I can understand not being able to keep up with everything new in the future... however it's not about that, she is just dumb, immature and annoying.

So read at your own risk. I did not enjoy it because of MF <<less

I read the reviews and I found little that gave positive ones.. but since I've started, I feel that it's good to see it until the end.. and I find myself surprised.. no regret! 😘

It starts off a bit weird and kind of illogical. Dramatic and all over the place... but the story stabilizes as it moves on. The author actually wrote the beginning according to the plot setting, where things fall into place as you keep on reading 😊

I sympathize with the FL where she struggles but then accepts... more>> her role as a 'young' mother. Some people commented about her being 'naive' and too 'immature', but I think she did well.. her monologues actually explain why she acts the ways she does. 🦢

Spoiler

For me though, the romance part made me cringe but there are sweet moments too^^ 🍭🍰

Just finished this few minutes ago. I'm really satisfied, in opinion this is better than Petite mother of four big shots! It's realistic cause there's no transmigration only advance medical equipment. The ML is good, I really love the sons! ?

This was really cute!

The sons are super endearing in their interactions with their mother who's in some ways much younger than they are. Watching them childishly compete for her affections despite being successful grown-ups was hilarious.

The FL was a little boring at times because her character was sort of written to balance all of her incredibly powerful and amazing sons but I liked that her reactions to her situation are rather realistic. She's thoroughly horrified to wake up 25 years in the future with nothing to her name. She feels... more>> weird seeing all the people who used to be her age by now look twice as old as her. She can't accept having sons older than her at first but having no other options for survival with her limited means, she tries to get along with them. Then, eventually she grows to become more like their mom/friend.

The development of the romance is slow at first but when she does fall for the ML they get together almost too fast. I think the best part of their romance was seeing how her sons tried to get in his way out of jealousy and fear for their mom's happiness. <<less

I totally forgot I had read this story before. I forgot how far I got into, but it wasn't that great. It was also a bit too unrealistic and stuff it was trying to be funny about, such as the adult men fighting for attention from their mother whom they never knew about is just too unrealistic. From what I remember it also tried to mix romance in between this.

The novel was quite interesting for me. It was really a fresh idea having 5 children with different fathers. All the mc's children had their own problems and personalities that makes the novel all the more interesting. The romance was nice but even though the story lacked in logic it was intriguing enough to keep me reading until the end.

It's a nice read!

I'm not really one for deep emotions and conspiracies so I liked this one because it is complicated but there are no traitors or stuff. Even though in my opinion, in real life it is hard to suddenly love a mom that just appeared out of nowhere (but who cares this is fiction) I still love how kind of realistic-ish the reactions are, like how jealous they are of each other.

im used to reading where the FL is strong and smart and capable so sometimes its nice... more>> to just read and let all the men do all the work lmao <<less
