To start of the story started off great and had potential, necromancer and overpowered was cool. Came back to earth and his old enemy followed him nice, funny moments great. It had some good characters, and familiars but it slowly got weirder and then would introduce something just to forget about it.... more>>
Spoiler

for example melody who was apparently a love interest even though no romance occured, his actual gf who they forgot about completely, the fire dragon dude who comes back only to help once more same with the tamer.

if your bored read it and then just forget the ending is what I recommend or try it out because it's good overall. It's like eating a good pie but the last slice is too crunchy so you throw it out <<less

An interesting read. Didn't expect that kind of ending.
Spoiler

I was really under the impression that the MC would steadily progress thru the 72 thrones when the plot just punched me in the face with that matrix stuff.. I didn't disliked it BUT I totally got annoyed that the author cliff-hangered us when the MC was about to meet Melody.

I don't know what to say. People are really harsh or simply haven't read any webnovels. I read one review where he said the story felt dragged on (hello? Only 200 chapters!!), another where MC is unlikeable because he's incompetent, finally another where they simply didn't like how the author elaborated on backstory of MC and humanized him aka MC ... more>>
Spoiler

isn't actually soulless psychopathic mass mu*derer.

Being a reader is about enjoying the journey the author paints, NOT complaining because the vision you had of a character doesn't match up to the actual character.

Spoiler

MC gets scammed by cellphone guy? Reviewer rages MC is s*upid, should have picked up some smarts and done research on phones? What!, did we read the same novel? MC is focused and rushed to better his family, understand the new earth and determine what's going on overall. He has bigger things to care about then knowing about some small info he'll never need again after 5 minutes of buying the phone.

A leader doesn't know everything themselves, they have subordinates that are specialized in their respective roles. I don't know what to say, it was a great short read. The ending was a bit face smack, but besides a few details it wrapped up well.

I'd say solid 4.5/5. <<less

It's entertaining, but that's it. The MC has anger issues and is ret*rded.

He never tried to truly understand what was happening and if someone didn't want to tell him, he would just kill them. If he got some info, good, if not, it wasn't important to him, which makes it pretty annoying.

This guy could have prepared for several situations, but because he is strong and ret*rded, he never did.

If someone didn't do what he wanted, they got beaten up or killed. If someone went against him, they would die... If... more>> someone talked too much, their lives would be threatened... The MC has anger issues and gets away with it.

The ending is also pretty bad and mediocre at best. The ending of the story was pretty rushed, not much was explained, things simply happened, and we will never know why. I got tired of the story at chapter 200 and thought about dropping because I was expecting another 100 chapters of BS, but because it was only 8 more chapters, I finished it. So in a sense it was good for me that it was rushed, but the story could have been fleshed out quite a bit more. Though with that protagonist... I guess it's better this way. <<less

For the first 75% or so it was a pretty entertaining story about dungeons appearing on Earth and the MC being a necromancer, it was easily 4 stars at least... and then the ending came. Some people might like this ending, but to me it was on the level of Game of Thrones season 8. It doesn't really seem like it was suddenly rushed into though, it was probably planned like it from the start.

The start of this series is interesting, and there are some distinct character designs to work with. However, the quality goes down hard and fast. All of the characters become 2D with only one personality trait, including the MC. There isn't any character development either. The writing becomes quite poor. There is no imagery. Fights are boring and nondescriptive. The entire second half of the series feels like it's a basic script or outline without any actual writing to build it up.

Although the twist at the end is somewhat intriguing,... more>> it doesn't make a lick of sense and is loaded with plot holes. Loose ends abound.

The story is disappointing over all, and there isn't anything I can recommend reading it for. I would have rated it four stars for the beginning and two for the ending, so I'll average them out to three stars here. <<less

This nowel imo is good.I feel great at the end of it (not like some nowels that I didnt end bc they didnt end and MC whas op didnt have any opponents and ln has 10+chaps). So it is ok4/5

PS to. Person who writed about equaly distribution of stats. He didnt do it he only did it at the start bc is it safest and most optimal to have some stranght and stamina XD. If you have 99 points I do not think you wouldnt put some points into strenght.... more>> It would be patetic if you would be gratest necro and cant run at last 1km straight <<less

Some plot holes, average translation with unnecessary repetitions but otherwise a very good story which enabled me to have a good time. I loved the protagonist personality although I found sometimes that he can act out of character. No romance, which is also a good point.

I recommend it !

Just finished it, it's really good.
it starts similar to Solo Leveling, but it goes totally different after a few dozen chapters.

The MC is a shitty person, he does what he wants, when he wants. he will kill/beat people just because they are annoying... he's not the regular "power of friendship and goodness Japanese MC" type.
but he has good reasons for it, he's used to it, used to being a shitty overlord that rules over everything with force...

anyway, you should read it, it's good.

it's the first novel i've read... more>> from start to end without taking months/years break in the middle.

only problem I found with the novel is the translator, it seems that he doesn't know how to use negative/positive, so many times he will write things like "he did that" will he means "he DIDNT do that".
other than that, you should totally read it.

9/10 <<less

Definitely one of my favourite novels (not that it is perfect though) The protagonist is both reasonable yet unreasonable which leads to many fun conversations which are enjoyable throughout. The plot is also great if not silly at times (some may say this is a downside however except for the end I think its fine). On that not the ending was quite weird. However is satisfactory enough given other novels like The Novels extra and OMV being 2 novels which are probably my 1 and 2 on this site having... more>> annoying endings to me. This one is better. <<less

I am quite the fan of Necromancer storys which lead me into this Rollercoaster. I kinda avoided to read it at first cause it dient appeal to me too much with the description, but boy, was I hella wrong about this!

The MC personality is so unice and fan to read he Basicly is a total shameless badass which does not give a duck about others opinion and this actions make alot of sense. He is not someone who got mad cause he deals with the death cause of this Necromancer... more>> class but he is total OK using violence in order to take what he wants, He is not a thief and keeps this promises. Over all this is a realy fun and unice Read and would totaly recomment it at least trying at first (The Comedy is realy good too, but is based on more of dark humour) Only Cons that I would like to write here is that the stat system is not realy explainded very well and that most villains say "How dare you!". Realy Unince story and everyone who places 2/5 starts cause of the MC personality are wrong, Never realy got boring reading it so at least try it once <<less

I don't understand why so many people don't really like the MC but in my opinion, he's pretty interesting and funny and his backstory is very interesting. But then the story started getting kinda weird and complicated... And now I find literally nobody likeable except the MC.

Sunggoo is supposed to come off as a sweet sunshine boy but he just gets more and more annoying the further the story progresses and he's just so childish and his character never develops even though he's one of the strongest people in the... more>> world. Now I think a weird romance is starting to happen between him and Cindy, an even more unlikeable character.

Jaemin literally has no personality and is just so wimpy in general. At first, he's always studying and then they tell us about his irrelevant love story between him and the highschool idol and now he's a vampire who's always scared of everything.

Jiwon, the love-interest, is also so boring. She's not as unlikeable as the others I mentioned but she has nothing except for being pretty and apparently having 'a pure soul'. At the beginning they even said that she looked down on everyone else cos she was pretty before her accident.

Honestly, Solo-levelling is SO much better than this <<less

Decent enough story with lots of action and humor - The beginning was very similar to 'I level up alone' with the world setting, various scenarios and MC's interactions with others. But after around 100 chapters it diverged to include more dimensional wars than clearing up the dungeons and by the end, it turned Matrix-esque...

MC is a bit complicated character, he's not some cold hearted person; its just that he spent 20 years in cut-throat environment with only the dead as company, which skewed his thinking. After returning to earth,... more>> he changed his feelings from killing everyone to gradually caring for his people...

Some readers complained about the MC getting away with killing people live on TV - but this is a different world, where strong rules, one can't just apply our current norms on that world. Even if the Govt wants to put MC in jail, who has the power to actually put him in the jail!??

The side characters are portrayed well, with them actually having individual personalities instead of just blindingly follow/worship the MC. Romance is very forced and unnecessary, MC barely has any interactions with his 'girl friend'... <<less

Its a great read and I highly recommend it, but for those expecting a 'nice' and 'gentlemanly' protagonist, this novel greatly differs from a majority of KN novels in that the main protagonist is much more callous; all of his actions are directed towards self-benefit, or at most, at the benefit of those within his inner circle (including his family). Otherwise, its a somewhat fun read (SIDENOTE: I tend to binge-read so I'm not extremely critical of specific content unless it is either extremely disturbing or affects the main... more>> story plot) <<less

I definitely enjoy this. There's a number of old tropes done well. The writing was easy & enjoyable to follow. The character development was enjoyably hard to predict for various side characters. The hero's development is fairly predictable and enjoyable for the colorful details that are shared without being overwhelming.

The ending seemed hurried and was a bit confusing because of it. However, the general brushstrokes of the narrative were very satisfying for me. I enjoyed the author's end of story explanation of the gamification of a real-life monster outbreak & the effect of it. <<less

Overall really good, thank you for the translation. I think my only gripes were the final fight was a bit weak. I am really disappointed by the final chapter being the only case where it did not feel like fair treatment of a country. It was quite shocking how fairly it treated every nation except maybe the middle east, except for this last chapter. If Japan was just changed to "Roused" then I think it would have been a much better ending.

I think we all could agree it could have... more>> gone a bit longer, but it was a solid 8/10 that avoided being too heavy handed despite dealing with international politics (except the 2 possible cases mentioned). <<less

MC is Op he is arrogant and bit narcissistic

It's too simple like he got problem then beat it till there is none

There is no such thing as romance. Nothing!

And the end is toooooo abrupt like he's got power but all things are VR but MC is so OP that he turns all to reality author could have explained it to detail but it's all crammed in last 10-15 chapters

Overall it's OK

This novel was pretty good. I liked how the protagonist did pretty much whatever he wanted or rather, that was extreme selfishness but hey, I don't hate it. There were a few others who had a lot of screen time and they also had some interesting personalities. The setting was not bad, I have read similar novels but it's still a nice plot, although around at the end it became kinda wtf with how the plot became similar to the game Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time but... more>> it was still tolerable. Anyway, in summary this a pretty good read for anyone who found the novel description to their tastes. <<less
