Other people’s bad reputation, if not because of themselves, then it’s slandered by others. Jing Wan’s bad reputation wasn’t because of herself, but schemed by her future husband. Jing Wan’s bad reputation wasn’t caused by others, but of his design, only for the sake of marrying the woman he has had eyes on for two lifetimes! One unable to take a bride, one unable to marry. Because he was the number one handsomest man, but she wasn’t the number one beauty. So it was still her who has earned? What the hell?

After marrying, the husband’s close beautiful servant girls didn’t try to crawl onto the bed, but instead served her like an ancestor. The previous stewards didn’t monopolize the power, but instead handed over in great detail all the properties and even the husband’s private funds. So strange no matter how one looks at it! After getting along day and night, she discovered that her husband suffers from a severe case of crazy, please cure!

“Husband, just what do you like about me? I’ll change, just please stop being weird.”

His disease acting up in seconds, telling you with his actions, just how strong his possessive desires towards you are, that’s how much care you must give back.

Alright, for the sake of his disease not becoming more severe, and seeing how there’s no concubines or mistresses or other little demons, Jing Wan rolled up her up sleeves and went all out.

Amazing writing and translation work. This is one novel that I wish more cnovels could be like, as it combines good storytelling by showing and not telling. My favorite part is the cute family interactions and friendships. MC's relationship with her grandparents and brother is heart-warming and their interactions are delightful to read. I wouldn't mind pages of them having moments together. In fact, I wish there was more.

Next, I appreciate that the antagonists are not cardboard cut-outs. They are unlikable but they have depth and we understand through the... more>> narrator why they have such warped worldviews. We read the antagonists' inner thoughts and understand their motivations, as misguided as they can be. I also appreciate that they are interesting people. MC face-slapping others is a common pastime in cnovels and can get quite draining in some cnovels. But in this novel, it is not overdone and quite satisfying.

I see some reviews here criticizing ML's yandere tendencies and the age difference between MC and ML. I am not sure if these reviewers truly read the novel; firstly the focus of the novel is not the romance, why are you giving a one or two star review just because you dislike ML's behavior? Furthermore, the writer explains the reason for ML's over-the-top obsession of MC and it is because he has experienced massive trauma. He basically acknowledges that his behavior and thoughts are abnormal. Of course that does not excuse his actions but it explains his behavior and adds depth to him as a character. I am constantly amazed how up in arms some people can react to fictional characters.

By the way, to all those who are scrolling down the reviews and wondering if this novel is worth your time...

If you want a sappy romance with a shining prince on a white horse, there are plenty of mary-sue novels on this site, go read them, this novel is definitely not it.

If you are offended easily due to your progressive ideals and can only enjoy a story if they 100% conform to your worldview, maybe consider not reading a historical cnovel. This is actually extremely ironic since ML is already very progressive for a man of his time.

Read this novel if you enjoy being immersed in a rich backdrop of history fraught with politics, a lively cast of supporting characters (as well as villains) and a playful dynamic between MC and ML that makes you want to root for them all the way. <<less

It started well for a few chapters. There's heavy emphasis on flowers (FL's hobby is collecting different types of flowers) but there are parts which are just too corny for me especially parts that involve 'old foxes' who also like flowers. One thing that really turned me off is the way the author wanted the FL to be somewhat like a genius. FL created a revised bow&arrow and something like a telescope. How'd the FL manage to do that? Because she's from the future, she should know the blueprint of... more>> a telescope? LOL. So many cliché parts that you see in other CN where the author likes to make the FL look like a genius because FL is from the modern world. I'd rather want the FL to be somewhat like a botanist or simply a person with a "green thumb", for character consistency.

The ML is tyrannical indeed. Perhaps his character is the most consistent and also, the most pe*verted. TW: if you're not familiar with CN set in ancient/historical era, one might be uncomfortable with some parts where ML has questionable deeds/actions toward FL.

There were many unnecessary chapters, in my opinion. There were really good parts but there were also boring parts that one wouldn't mind skipping as these don't affect the overall plot. <<less

I find this novel well-written with barely plot holes. The whole novel was well-packed and satisfying until the end. Every arcs were exciting to read and most characters have depth... even some villains, side characters and canon-fodders were so interesting who got their own share of insights and limelight in the story.

Be warned that some scenes were truly disturbing and vile but kinda understandable bc of the era and heavy political schemes... as the translator stated, the "adult" and "mature" tags were put bc of these... more>> violent scenes and not only bc of ero-ero scenes.

Some will find the story slow due to fillers... but for my opinion, I didn't find it draggy bc author really did well in story-telling and gave some hints & details that were important and connected to later chapters. The bonus chapters were also great (the extras are MUST READS)

Also, kudos to translator who gave good translation & notes making some details more easy to understand.

**** ML & FL ****

Spoiler
  • Li Hong Yuan (ML) was a rebirthed character, he was high level male yandere (extremely possessive+stalking+clingy+obsessed+jealous)... His yandere tendencies also the trauma and effect of past life seeing FL die... but his love for FL was unquestionable bc he worked hard to be with her and never limit her freedom as long as she's safe. The reason why he still wanted to ascend the throne this time was to give FL a peaceful life and be well-respected woman among all compare to her unfortunate demise in his past life. I also like that his reason of the transmigration was explained (plot twist was good) and his plans/schemes were well-constructed schemes which were worth-praising. He was extremely genius and OP that details can't escaped his eagle eyes due to being Emperor in his past life and can easily control schemes and people.
  • Jing Wan (FL) was transmigrated character, she's smart and initially calm character. Actually, I think her character a little bit of cold at the start (understandable bc her life in modern times were also unlucky)... but I find her changes after married as not weak (unlike some reviewers trying to say here) but I think she became more humane and accepting of love that she willing to act more coquettish/delicate in front of ML. Her personality really suited the ML. Her fate in her past modern life and ML's past life were both miserable so I'm glad that she got her happiness this time.

Their interactions were always made me smile and tooth achingly sweet feeding peepers dog food all the time. Their trust and support of each other was also great. There were noticeable changes in their characters but as Jing Wan stated, it was not forcing to change to be liked by the person they loved... but unconsciously adapting to the lifestyle of each other as a couple bc they were walking together in their own journey. Their teamwork is really good especially in later chapters as Emperor and Empress.

I feel old reading them growing old together, having kids & grandkids together, dying together and living the modern world together. (the modern wold arc was just kinda bland compare to main story hehehe)

Adding on to previous comments addressing the people complaining about the age difference, ancient people had much shorter life spans most dying young from one thing or another (disease for example), so they had to mature and start a family quickly our 18 or 19 or even 20 is there 14 or 15, women aged 20 were even considered old maidens and less desirable for marriage by that age. So as another review said people should stop thinking about this story and other various historical stories from a modern point... more>> of view because we live much longer than ancient people and so cannot comprehend the mindset of wanting to quickly start and make something of your life before you die. You can catch a random fever or cold or be poisened or some other ailment and your likely dead, imagine leaving your children orphaned at a young age?So it makes sense to start early so you actually have time to raise them or even make a name for yourself in your career. <<less

This story is not for the impatient. Haha. However, if you stick with it, you'll appreciate the elaborate schemes the ML did to ensure that the FL falls into his hands.

Spoiler

Honestly, I was so shocked when he suddenly just told the grandfather his plans. O.O

Also, the moments that the grandfather regrets that he can't reprimand the ML are just too funny.

I don't find the ML bad. He is actually very respectful of the distance between them. He didn't do anything to JW before they were officially engaged. And JW was ok with what he did. If she tells him to stop, he would. He totally respects her.

Also, the translator is one of the best translators ever. I learn so much. ❤❤❤ <<less

This novel has a pretty compelling plot and the author really spends a lot of time laying out every character's motivations and interpersonal relationships. There's a lot of politics in this novel and romance is secondary for the most part (although this probably changes later on). Both MC and ML are strong, independent, and intelligent characters.

It's important to recognize that MC and ML's personalities and motivations aren't necessarily aligned with traditional protagonist values.

Spoiler

It's explained in the novel that MC has actually reincarnated twice, with her first reincarnation in a modern world and her second into her original world. However, she doesn't appear to have any memories of her original world. On the other hand, ML has reincarnated once in his original world. Both have their fair share of trauma although this hasn't been addressed as of chapter 311.

Characters - 5/5

FL is such a balanced character ngl, she's nice but not too nice. She's mean. But not malicious. Like she literally beat up someone who's been bullying her for the past chapters so that was super refreshing.

ML is uhhh questionable. He's a pe*vert. He's sooo devoted to her that he literally sneaks in her bedroom and HE planted a "mama" that his late mother knows and used her to watch FL and I think that's kinda messed up. But then again, considering a lifetime of memories and emotional... more>> abuse he suffered, it's a lowkey expected or not surprised he ended up like this.

Spoiler

I feel really bad for ML's past fiances (except for the first one) and also FL's. They were really inlove with her, well the first one was questionable but the 2nd one was really into her. BUT you know, we just gotta have this kind of ML.

[collapse]

Translation - 10/5 (They're the best, a lot of foot notes and their speed is fast. They have a family chart which is so considerate. Since I drop the novel then catch up again after it has a lot of chapters.)

Plot - 5/5 (It kinda makes you wanna strangle the s*upid girls but the main couple is almost getting together, , , , maybe soon)

Do I recommend?? Yesss, you'll kinda take forever to catch up and they update fast! ≪3 <<less

this novel would've been great if it weren't for the problematic romance. And the fact that there's still so many reviewers excusing it. So many of them are also using the logic of "[insert novel here] as similar problematic themes, but there are still people praising it, so you have double standards" or "modern day novels have similar tr*shy MLs but people still like them"

So what if other people like these novels? I never have, and chances are that the reviewers criticizing the romance here are of the exact same... more>> opinion. Whataboutism is a straw man argument. The fact that other people like novels with similar themes does not make the romance here any less unsettling.

The only argument I can understand is the fact that modern-day ideas/laws/themes can't be entirely applied to ancient day. But that doesn't change the fact that grooming, pedophilia, r*pe, etc. still existed during that time. Sure, it wasn't called it at that time, nor was it seen as problematic, but that is because women no rights and were seen as inferior and nothing more than servants to men in ancient times. Just because it was "normal in the past" does not make it any better. I could offer some degree of room if the MC and ML were shown more as equals, but this guy literally
Spoiler

drugs and mol*sts her in her sleep. Mol*sting people in their sleep is bad, no matter the situation, and it also shows the ML taking advantage of MC. Sure, it might get better later, but I can't stand it now.

[collapse]

I can't understand any arguments trying to justify ML sneaking into MC's room and mol*sting her while she's asleep (bc there is no argument that could possibly make it seem fine). That's it. No amount of "passion" or "love" will change that. <<less

SUMMARY: First of all, let's talk about the original summary. In short, it's very deceptive. Just forget about it. *Laughingface* This novel isn't about an FL being dragged into marriage by a yandere. It gives off that impression, but that's only about 10% of the story's actual development. It isn't about a girl transmigrating into the body of the legitimate daughter of a noble family. Nor is it about the rebirth of the Tyrannical Emperor who has an obsession with said transmigrator. The main focus of this novel is on... more>> the way the time period affects the complex relationships of the people that surrounds that FL and ML. If you go into this novel thinking that this is a toxic romance (like me xD), you will be immensely disappointed because that's really not the point.

FIRST IMPRESSION: The first time I read this, I found it boring and gave up after 50 chapters. It was just that the FL was too dull. Too reactive. She didn't do anything. Didn't have any drive. She was impressive, don't get me wrong. But she's like a block of wood with no desires. This provided a great contrast with the obsessed ML, who stalks her and engages in non-consensual groping here and again. But while the contrast is interesting, it doesn't change the fact that the main character, the FL, doesn't do anything. She's just being swept along by the plot, acting impressive like the Mary Sue that she is. As a reader, I never got to connect with her because the POV is too distant from her, so idk what she thinks of it all. If the ML was the main protagonist (things would be better). He has a clear goal, clear desires, and he's obviously very active. But he's not the MC. He's almost always in the background. So yeah.

I hereby finish my rant about why I gave up after fifty chapters the first time I read this. And almost did it again a second time XD. I decided to keep reading this time around because this is the last chance I'm giving the story. In the end, however, I still dropped it less than 25 chapters after making that resolution XD. It turns out that this novel is just not for me.

RECOMMENDED? Though this novel ended up not being to my taste, I didn't dislike it to the point of not knowing what areas it could be considered 'good.' The author does a great job establishing a flourishing world in ancient times. All of the characters, no matter how small their role may appear at first glance, are given a little something something to make them appear real. If it weren't for the utter failure in this regard when it came to the FL (who is arguably the most important, as she is the protagonist the story is following) I would have even declared that this story was perfect when it comes to character building. Of course, one may say that the complexity of the side characters contrasts quite nicely with the simplicity of the FL. But again, I have to argue, what's the point of a story with such a forgettable FL? Anyway, let's not start the rant again. I do recommend this novel, but only if you're interested in historical dramas. The setting is where this novel shines the most. The intrigue is rich with meaning. So, if you go into it just to experience that aspect, it isn't so bad.

RATING: 3/5

I originally thought that the reason I first dislike this novel was because I was sick at the time and in a bad mood. Now I know that it's just not my type of novel period. For this reason, I didn't give a lower rating. The story is actually written well, the author is a bit too fond of info-dumping, and one can say that there really is a bit too much detail at times. However, I like that kind of thing, so I didn't mind it. The translation is also very good. To an average Westerner, many of the things mentioned in the first 10 chapters are impossible to be comprehended without at least a little background in Chinese History. Even I struggled a bit even after all the CN dramas I've read. But the TL-er did their best to make things understandable and provided great supplemental notes. For this reason, despite my negative opinion (brought about mainly due to the FL lack of strong direction), I still think this novel is readable. <<less

I was pretty happy at being told this was more political and less romantic. I've enjoyed all of the characters so far - even the ML, whose behaviour is indeed beyond the pale. We're warned a plenty that he's not a nice man and doesn't care for anything but MC.

We're not warned that before they even meet, he will sneak into her home, have her closest companion betray her to allow him to thoroughly sexually assault her, and then blame her for it. So, "doesn't care for anything but the... more>> MC, " actually means doesn't care about the MC either, right?

I would have appreciated a warning for that. Anywhere. Anywhere at all. I'm not even putting that into a spoiler because that's the kind of tr*sh that should come with a warning. There was KIND of a hint, I guess, when he had her assaulted and knocked out so that he could hold her and breathe on her skin and grope her breasts, but maybe I was naive for not realizing that was going to ramp up really soon.

I can read and enjoy stories about terrible people, terrible relationships, whatever, but I personally find it pretty scum of the earth when the actual worst person to the main character is the love interest, and the author doesn't seem to think thats a problem.

Nasty. Just nasty, and disappointing because this was quite enjoyable up until now. I'm, you might notice, a little annoyed at the wasted time and lack of warning. <<less

YANDERE ALERT!!

For anyone that's bothered by YANDERE, please take a U-turn. The ML is extremely possessive and some (all) of his actions are manipulative and like a stalker. So, it might not sit well for many but since he took care of her on his own and try to cater to her demands and wishes and respected her ideals and morals, I can definitely accept him.

There's a lot said in other reviews so I won't post an elaborate one but some of the things I enjoy are the character growth,... more>> individual attention given to other characters beside main couple and Miss Jen - our broken translator.

Normally I wouldn't pay attention to the translator but the attention to detail and various T/N notes helped me have a pleasant one way interaction with her without it being too disruptive and not ruining my reading experience like some other translators. I must say she knows how to interact with her readers without being overbearing and annoying. This review is just to honour her efforts and request everyone to please read on her aite as her efforts are evident in the notes where she tries to explain all trivialities and puts up pictures and whatnot for a pleasant and immersive experience even for newbie readers. As someone who has dabbled in translation for a bit, I can definitely say this is a very difficult project with lots of idioms, furniture, culture, traditions etc that need to be translated. <<less

The translation is amazingly accurate and the writing style makes it so much easier to read without losing the historical and Chinese context. After catching up to the translation, I went ahead and read the Chinese version because I am not a patient person.

I really do believe that this work could be shorter but that is not to say that it's not enjoyable to read. Everything little thing happens for a reason and is built upon or referenced later on in the story. The author does a great job in... more>> story development and keeping us on our toes. I think the premise is such a cool concept. A reincarnated ML and a transmigrated FL. But, the most fun to read about-after their relationship development-is unraveling their backstory in the previous lifetime. It takes over 400+ chapters for them to reveal to each other their deepest secrets.

I think some people may take issue with the obsessive ML. It's important to note that in a story like this, no one is advocating that what he does is right. There is mu*der and conspiracies. It's not supposed to be a story where the ML is a "good guy" but he very literally says that if something were to happen to his love interest he would destroy the whole country. ML and other characters literally mu*der people and conspire to have whole families annihilated, but the line is drawn when he is yandere towards the FL? If you want to read a lovey-dovey novel that is up to U.N human rights standards, sorry, this isn't the story. He's very obsessive and yandere, but that comes from the trauma of watching her die in his previous life and not being able to do anything to save her. That comes from the trauma of watching his family betray him and lead to the downfall of the woman he loves.

He is definitely not a good person and the only thing her cares about is the FL. Obviously this is unhealthy but so what? The FL is a 20 year old reincarnated in a child's body, she is practically 30+ in her mind when she meets him. She understands his "sickness" and if she wanted to spurn him, she can. The novel is quite literally called "tyrannical wang", I'm not sure why people are so taken aback by the ML being.... tyrannical. Anyways to sum up their relationship, ML does not care about anything other than the FL and is ready to let the world burn if she asks.

I think this story definitely deserves a read if you're a fan of Rebirth of Malicious Empress. There are a lot of conspiracies and court intrigue. The FL and ML have their share of the action conspiring against the Emperor and Imperial family, rooting out corrupt officials, planning military assaults. I think this is a great read if you like all that stuff and there is also a fair amount of fluff. No, the ML isn't always obsessive yandere but he is quite jealous and he likes watching the FL deal with his and her love rivals. Those parts of the story are a lot of fun to read. <<less

ML is very dark and pe*verted. Duh... He's called a tyrant for a reason.

Want a good-paced romance plot? Sorry buddy. Even up to ch60, at least 40 chapters were dedicated to the MC's household affairs and mob characters affairs. Will induce one to puke blood from frustration. Don't know how many chapters I skipped. Waste of bloody time.

The only good thing...

MC ain't s*upid and not overly dramatic. She is a calm and mature woman. Good.

This ML is too bat sh*t crazy for my taste. His way of handling things is way too convoluted when I think he could have done twice with half the effort. I resulted to reading spoilers and MTL. All in all, too bat sh*t crazy and sad. But it's good novel. I'm feeling ambivalent about it.

Translation quality is excellent and the story is quite different than the usual MC rebirth/transmigration story. MC is transmigrated when small, ML fell in love with her, but he couldn't prevent disasters and MC died tragically. ML returned to the past and did everything in his power to get rid all obstacles for MCs and got MC as his wife.

MC is not described as the most beautiful woman but she's unique temperament and very mature. She has a big sister charm, so she attract a lot of girls who love... more>> to be spoilt and pampered by her. In other hand, ML is described as a typical ML, super beautiful, etc etc, but he has super rotten (deliberately cultivated) reputation. His nickname is "the Living Enma" because he was so unpredictable and loved making trouble for his Royal family.

The story is slow with a lot of politics, intrigues, and scheming but not boring. If you stories in the vein of "To Be Virtuous Wife" I think you'll like this story. <<less

First off, the translator is AMAZING. So much so, I will say, I joined their Patreon. They were first translator I supported, so I will be following any of their future projects. Their work on this story and the selection of this story: Impeccable.

This story itself is pretty amazing and character driving. The mix of characters, both leading and supporting, really gives this story legs and draws you in. While I know some people may struggle with is "acceptable" behavior of some of the characters, let me remind people: This... more>> is a historic fictional novel. On the model it was built from, behaviors like this was acceptable then, though no longer the case.

That being said, the Female Lead in this story is wonderful and warm with the right amount of ice-cold logic. She isn't hateful or malicious in words or thoughts, which is refreshing. As much as I enjoy the "FL Rebirth and Revenge" / "Smart FL in Historic and/or Harem Survival" tropes, I find the cookie cutter of being too hostile (to everyone it feels like), too emotionally immature, and impulsiveness very tiresome. That is not the case of this female lead. She's very socially and emotional smart. She's thoughtful, graceful, and not obsessing over revenge. A fresh breath of something different!

The male lead on the other hand... Is very unique. I like him and I find his yandere-obsessive love very entertaining. Just single-mindless of him twisting his own standards and views to justify and rationalize his obsession is just... hilarious and terrifying. It's pretty clear he will be the doting type once the relationship will begin. I think he's one of the better written obsessive-yandere types I've read.

The story moves as a great pace. It really gives background and world building to set the scene. The supporting characters enrich the story, not just adding pointless filler or just being wallflowers. <<less

As of now, these are my opinions and might be changed later.

Things I like:

Spoiler
    • The story has a decent plot and is very engaging at the beginning, with multiple view points that make the story feel more intruiging.
    • This has a very colorful cast and most feel like believable characters too. They have their own goals and flaws. It's also nice to see a wide spectrum for morality and not just simple good/evil characters. Morally grey characters are very interesting to me.
    • Strengthening family relationships. We get to see mc's relationship with her family. Grandma is best girl and grandpa is adorable. Father is human, not bad not good, maybe useless but interesting, too. Mother is fascinating. She's the type of person who would thrive and do a lot of good in modern day times, but is only a burden to MC in ancient times.
    • ML simply because of how deep his schemes go. Others hate him and that's fine, but his steadfastness is commendable and honestly, he reminds me so much of XJX from Rebirth of Malicious Empress (one of the best of the best) except XJX is honorable and not pe*verted.
    • The flower parts are interesting and, I feel, are only a device to make grandpa and MC get closer so I don't mind it as much.
    • Mc's knowledge is through hardwork and explained very realistically. I'm always up for some characters who have things they can do and things they can't, just like any normal human being ever.
    • Good translations.
[collapse]

Things I don't like:

Spoiler

The start was good, but the place the story is at now is tiring to read. Sure, we get the drama of the Sun siblings, MC's marriage prospects, and ML's marriages from imperial decree but...

    • As interesting as seeing conflict between side-characters and seeing MC have actual friends, I think this arc has gone on too long or the focus on it was too overwhelming. I get it, Sun family bad, Sun siblings pitiful. This is repeated again and again. I'm starting to skip every time I read about them by now. I just wish the Sun siblings break apart from their family already.
    • As important as mc's marriage is, I don't feel much excitment or eagerness about how it will be resolved. Mostly because mc's marriage candidates have feelings for her but we know she'll end up not marrying any of them anyway. I personally feel detached reading love triangles, so this arc is also boring for me. So I skip it.
    • ML's imperial decree to marry Sun girl is just sad. Sun girl deserves to actually marry a man who could love her. ML only has MC in his heart and worse, he might also be forced to marry Feng girl who is a complete psycho. Feng girl would only make Sun girl's life miserable. This plot is also frustrating to read, so I skip it as well.

At this point, I just skim thru chapters to see interesting tidbits and only reread if I get confused on what's happening. Hopefully the plot picks up again and something new happens.

This story kind of hooks me up. I started reading it just because the rebirth if ml. But it has this mysterious feel to it, unlike many in which they state the previous life in few sentences. I like MC alot, she's reasonable not haughty. She's what we call realistic unlike those who MCs who just destroy people who they think are irritating. It's realistic in fact that the villains are Villains for a reason, each have their own story unlike other stories where people want to destroy MC just... more>> because they felt her unpleasant. Its quite a good one and realistic one <<less

This novel is mixed with Yandere ML and a saint FL. I was reading this basically thinking it will satisfy my Yandere ML thirstness but even before that I came across some things that stopping me from reading farther.

I don't like these:

  • FL feels disgusted looking towards concubines because FL thinks only wife is right, concubines are always wrong.
  • FL even shouted towards ML once in public that Male population thinks they are allowed to take many concubines over wife, then what about wife?
  • FL thinks every concubine is vixen and black-hearted person. FL talks like she's fighting or arguing for "Women" but she's arguing for "Legal Wives" only, that's all. FL should know concubines are also women, they didn't have a choice to be a wife, so what should they do? Die of hunger/torture OR become someone's concubine to eat/drink.
  • FL act like a saint. There's an arc where ML saved FL and ML's other aides using body doubles in their places. These body doubles will be attacked in place of ML and FL. It'll give our main leads extra time to leave the place, but naaahhh. FL starts to nag ML that those body doubles shouldn't die, no bodyguard should die, ML have to save everyone.
  • FL asking ML every time to save those people when these people's job is to PROTECT FL and ML, it makes me wanna drop this novel.
  • FL blushing "This bastard's fault for being handsome"; FL wants a hug "This bastard's fault for spoiling me". I'm tired of reading these thoughts of FL. Why can't she accepts that she likes ML?
  • FL always thinking in mind "I don't need men" even after being married. Can't she just fake the trust or gain favor of her husband to live a smooth life just like what QU QING JU did (In 'To be a Virtuous Wife'). FL can live alone, but after getting married other reviews here say 'She became human'; I would say 'She became damsel-in-distress'. Everything she does, is protected by ML. Without this protection, FL is nothing. Within ML's protection, FL ran rampant but if ML wasn't Yandere, this FL would've died.
  • I love ML, but hate this kinda 'I hate men, but I love wives, not concubines' sh@t

It was good and overall nice read. My problem with it came towards the end when they introduced the gu bugs as it felt really unnecessary and an overkill. It took away from all the other interpersonal relationships between the main and supporting characters and honestly drained me. Not sure I ended it being satisfied.
