“The son of god Gula has returned.”

I was lost in the world of gambling.

I turned my back on my family and even betrayed my lover.

I wasted every day of my life.

It was a life of tr*sh.

The reality told me thus:

That I would amount to nothing no matter what I did.

In order to change my pathetic life, I chose fantasy, instead.

Even then, it was the same story.

I wondered if salvation would come at the end of the long road.

But, I was forced to kneel down in defeat in front of a powerful entity.

The tower I built up with my own hands crumbled into nothingness.

Just for once, I dearly wished to know the truth about myself.

“Come closer, my child…”

I will not hold back this time.

PedoBear Version 2.0
Regarding the top review with 1 star

Here are some important stuff that you should remember:

  • Earthlings view Paradise as a game
  • Earthlings won't die on earth when they die in paradise
  • The situation in Paradise was actually the worse, they were fighting a losing war.
  • There are three main faction, The beastmen Alliance with the World Tree as their greatest backer and spirits, The Humans and Earthlings with the Seven Gods, and the Parasite with the Parasite Queen.

  • Altought both the earthling and the beastmen alliances have one true enemy which is the Parasites, they arent actually in the same team for certain reasons...
Regarding the usefulness of the Gods, first, the remaining Gods that was fighting back are just some minor gods, they arent really incharge of paradise, heck they were even named... more>> on the Seven Deadly Sins (Gluttony, Wrath, Lust, etc) so they barely have any followers, they would perish without that other faction against the parasites...

Inhuman treatment to earthings? First, they wont really die on earth when they die on paradise and even their memories would be erased regarding what happens in that place so screw the human rights, Second, they dont actually treat everyone as junk and disposable, if you have a talent and good/rare job, you wont become a s*ave, you can have a good income and countless great offer.

But if you were deemed as useless with no future, they wouldn't hesitate to use you as a meatshield and disposable troop. It's simple, Paradise is a warzone and if you dont have any use, you are no different from a baggage, its even better for you to simply die and just forget about paradise than be a burden.

The lack of entertainment?

Here's the thing, imagine being invited to test a virtual reality game where you could pretty much do anythung you want as long as you try to beat the main quest? Do you think earthling would properly do the main quest to finish the game?

Some maybe, but most people would simply not, especially when they didnt have the capabilities to do so in the first place, if you can't finish the main quest?

You would have fun, forget your morals or dignity, its just a game afterall,

it wouldn't affect your life in earth, if you want to drown yourself to lust? Its just a game so go, you want to do drugs?fighting life or death battle one after another?

Its just a game,

its not real so feel free to do so. Thats the point, <<less

Pretty good, it kinda starts out like a slow burn almost gave up reading it until the part where he deals with an antagonist in the tutorial. I saw glimpses of righteous hate-filled brutality and I kept reading and so far do not regret reading it (one chapter is incredibly satisfying I still read it to get giddy) . It improves alot as I read on there were alot of times I laughed, cringed, hated a character/s and wished them death and dripped tiny tears.

I usually hate harems. But so... more>> far I dont really see it happening. But at 206 with so many future fleshlights you will truly notice characters being inconveniently forgotten like alot of situations where they are "around" but somehow doesnt interact with a situation they CLEARLY could have done with their characteristics/skills/power like they were a mirage, shame though they were built up really interesting but thats typical of harem books (more like the standard really bleah) . If there are some other critiques though is that there are many times I feel like the author actually forgot some details like his eye power not being used in situations he should have, could have normally. Hmmm I see a pattern no? Well anyways despite those negatives its pretty good so far. <<less

I wouldnt give this novel 5 star as the high rating suggest, simply this novel plot armor got so high that MC solves almost every arc with it. For now, i'll stop as im extremely feed up with it.

Story about tr*sh man who addicted to gamble get lost everything and decide to join another world to start a new life. Character development happen with MC truly good, as MC shifted personality bit a bit every he comes back to earth. The reality setting that author set realistic enough arround MC... more>> and his family, and I can related that.

Character, welp we got ton of them there, and most of it play good part of MC growth as human being. There's real character got killed moment, and actually happen on some that I thought gonna survive to the end.

Plot, its quite bizarre with realistic thinking (god actually helping their world resident by isekai'ed people from earth? Lol). If you are not think about that though, you might be enjoy this novel. Earth people got contracted to another world to fight back against alien creature, and actually okay to die in that world except you will forget everything. Its just like isekai mixed with VR genre but one life challenge.

Now, when I did said in my beginnning about plot armor solves everything, yes it did. MC actually survives numerous occasionally 100% gonna be goner moment, and guess what.. He's still kick living even after destroying his body in war against seven virtue. He's also somehow survive more than weeks chased by parasite in their camp without supplies, and etc. It was fine for beginning, but I got tired of this cliche after repeated happened until chapter 200. I just hope somehow MC actually solves thing with his power once, not almost always relies with plot armor.

Overall, it was fine novel. The world building is okay, and I did enjoy this. Its my only preference I just cant 5/5 but might be majority people doesnt think much about it so the rating does make sense. <<less

MC has to explore everything on his own as he does not get all the future memories. He is one of the most human MC I have seen. I liked the other characters too and the story progression is very evident. I find it enjoyable to read, I hope you will like it too. Happy reading!

One of the best story of "isekai" genre I read, well it's true that the MC is acting like a virg*n when it comes to women, but the story are great, the pacing aren't too slow or too fast, worldbuilding is decent, character development is excellent, side character development excellent too, it's like you can connect with every character in the story. Don't worry about people critiques, if you are like seinen story, then this is for you. I never regretted even once I started reading this novel.

Absolutely worth the read, even if you're not the 'isekai' type (Though, this isn't really a traditional Truck-kun isekai)

The largest draw of this novel is definitely its character development, as the MC goes from "an addict, a loser, a despicable human being" to someone you actively cheer for and want to see prosper.

Supporting cast is great, and you'll find yourself cheering for them too as they too develop.

Spoiler

If you're off-put by the Harem tag, don't worry. While the MC is still stereotypically dense, girls aren't throwing themselves at his feet on sight. Relationships are established, and slowly develop, instead of going from 0-100 instantly.

So far while reading, I never felt like I've had to trudge through bad arcs as all of them have been bangers.

Second Coming deserves all the singing praise and more <<less

It is a good story. No, scratch that. This is an amazing story!!

The fantasy and reality is divided and presented greatly. But sadly the concept isn't solid enough?. As a world of paradise it is too small, no higher world or another planet at all. But the worst is author cannot create a goo coincidence for an event to happen. It make almost every event and encounter for MC seems forced and not realistic. But worse is the aura of main character in tthe MC too bright that make the... more>> plot armor become so visible? <<less

The novel is best when it's a power leveling novel, but every now and then there's a strange tension that rears its head. The moments at its most light and most dark are far too apart that it really does feel like two different novels.

It starts off with a VERY typical Korean Toturial, a trope I hope really dies soon. As long as this trope exists, Koreans are all aliens to me. I don't know why they're so fascinated by this dark shit.

Quickly picks up with the training montage tho... more>> and it was hard to drop at that point.

Fast forward to the current arc with what I feel is very misplaced dark sh*t and gore again. I can tolerate plot armor, but I wish the author was at least consistent with it and not take it away just to have an unwanted shock value.

Overall I'd rate it close to 4 and just estimate it to that. There's just something about the korean narrative style that I don't like. Living in a very urban place really does something to its populace, huh. <<less

It's excellent, especially after the touch-ups it got with the new licensed translation. We open with a character who can initially be quite hard to like, but his outlook takes a steep upwards trajectory within the first four or five chapters and never really stops. The action is good, the character moments are impeccable, and the narrative has a lot of twists and interweaving moments I genuinely didn't expect. A+ work.

It's fun and easy-ish to read.

Good character development for both MC, romance targets and supporting cast.

Well executed power system. Fights feel as if they do actually have stakes, MC constantly pushes himself to brink of destruction, and the enemies are not disappointing either.

Tropes are played sometimes straight, sometimes for comedy, and sometimes are a subversion.

Romance is fine. MC gets all the beauties in the end, but the road to his happy ending is well deserved.

4.5. Very funny, good character development, smooth plot development. MC is a little too OP but it's fine. Would strongly recommend if you're getting into webnovels.

Action scenes are fire! It's a great novel, but I wouldn't say it's my all-time favorite. The females around the MC are.. Questionable in behavior tbh. So this is a good book when I ignore that (and the side stories, so I've heard.)

I enjoyed this novel quite a bit. Seol is a really relatable MC, and the struggles that he goes through with his family are definitely the highlights of this novel. But, the action scenes are well depicted as well, I like how most of the novel is Seol learning from other characters (mostly older ones with more experience) and growing as a person, and that is a reflection to his growth in Paridise power level wise.
Spoiler

If I could critique one thing it's that the harem that develops near the end (while hinted at often throughout the novel) was unsatisfying, Teresa raping Seol was gross, and Yuhui acknowledging the r*pe and then doing nothing was gross as well. I also don't like the idea that Seol was always bound to his fate, that was established in the ending side stories, it undercut the entire novels message that Seol was defying his addictions and previous life's mistakes with the help of the people around him.

Addicting story. It's been a while since i've read this so I forgot the details but I remember just staying up because I was so immersed on reading this.

The side stories ruined it for me though. Honestly would recommend for people who plans to read this to stop and just end it at the epilogue

Spoiler

it was honestly a perfect ending with the MC marrying one woman. I didn't know author was into polygamy so I was pretty disappointed at those side stories

my native language is not english and I used translation while writing this so it may be a review with semantic errors. / There may be small spoilers in between. I didn't spoiler tag the whole article because I think they are really small, it's up to you whether you read them or not.

If it wasn't for the bullsh*t in the last 100 episodes, my rating would be something like 4, but now I can only give a rating of around 3.

What I will write below is the part excluding... more>> the last 100 chapters. (Actually, I don't want to take those parts seriously, so I want to ask the author WHY? Does a person not like the book he/she wrote that much and ruin it? I'm really sorry for his work instead of him/her 💀)

actually, the progression of the story and the world it created was beautiful and the main character really took the world he went to very seriously and worked hard that even though there were some feelings from a past life, he had no definite memories and although he actually had a power, he wasn't that op. But I just found the real life background of the main character a bit shallow. He just did it in the world and it seemed like that, I don't underestimate his gambling addiction but I don't know, his relationship with his family or something didn't seem very interesting to me. Also, it's very normal that they don't like him so he really made his family suffer and the main character was very discouraged about it and always avoided confronting his family.

If I'm talking about the world, things like it's a different dimension and you can't talk in real life can be said to be interesting, and things like people from the world are actually not very ambitious to fight. And have fun in their interests, I think was realistic. Oh, and I think it was a nice detail that when they die in this world, they don't die for real, but they lose their memory and most people commit su*cide because of the emptiness inside them. Maybe even my favorite detail in this book!??

hmm and the friendships in this book were good, I loved the first team directly from the beginning. I loved the beautiful and strong female characters, of course, those 100 episodes spoiled everything, but I said I would exclude that part and actually the main character is VERY NORMAL just more ambitious and tends to be addicted to things however I enjoyed reading him and his efforts. And seriously, there is hardly anyone else who takes the world they go to as seriously as he does and tries to protect it. I also liked the gods in the world. When I start writing, I can't think of anything to write about, I guess, it seems like there aren't that many events in these 500 episodes.🤔

by the way, I liked the villains, they were interesting and strong, so I thought a lot about how the main character's side would beat them because there was really a difference in strength between them.

In short, it was a good book that started well and continued well, but in the end it was a disappointment. Still I can't tell if you should read it or not because I think there are interesting parts still you can find better books and spend your time on it but if you are just looking for something to pass the time you can read this one.

Thanks for reading this far despite the mistakes, I hope I helped you get an idea about the book.♡ <<less

I found this novel becoming one of my favorites as time went on. I’m giving this four stars because of the minor plot holes, I only noticed these in my second read through, so you shouldn’t worry too much. This novel had phenomenal character development; I liked nearly all of the characters. There was nothing useless about anything Seol Jihu (mc) did, always having some small impact on what happened later, which meant that there was very little “filler”. I can’t really pick much out of this, other than that... more>> I would’ve liked to see Seol Jihu’s original timeline as part of the side stories. It made me curious and somewhat disappointed that only little snipits were shown. <<less

It's a fine novel. Not the best but not worst either. I can safely say that it was not boring while reading this novel most of the time. It was a good timepass. There are some characters that I didn't like including MC but it's nothing big. Actually this novel is pretty good if you take the MC out of the show or replace with some other character with different attributes. This guy is indecisive and has no backbone infront of women. And the family parts were unnecessary and absolutely... more>> hated it. Hated the sister and the ex girlfriend omg.. I don't know why there's an character like that in the story. If you delete the ex girlfriend character from the novel there won't be any changes to the story. Absolutely no changes. I hope the author could have put more focus on the main storyline some more. The arc where they go to Hawaii and all is just pure fillers. The ending was Little disappointing for me. I didn't read the epilogue and extra chapters. It's unnecessary. For me it's more like a 3.5 out of 5. It's not a must read but at the same time you won't regret after reading. Atleast I didn't. <<less

Honestly loved it but NOT the side stories

Spoiler

I actually really loved the overall novel but I've made an account just to say wtf was the harem side stories. So far I've only gotten to where Teresa has drugged Jihu and is about to r*pe him, I won't read the rest of the side stories. I'm fine with harem and before the side stories I was all for everyone x jihu cause his relationships with all of them were really nice. However, now I know that almost all of them r*pe him. He didn't even want to get with everyone, he just wanted to stay with Yuhui. The Weird harem plot where all of the women r*pe him and get pregnant so he has to stay is just so forced. If the author wanted Jihu to get with everyone and developed the romantic relationship between each one then I would actually enjoy reading about them. Also, the way the women aren't even mutually agreed on the harem like Yuhui was genuinely crushed that Jihu cheated. He was also so dedicated to Yuhui that he went back to the past many times to prevent him getting with anyone else and no matter what it happened. Jihu was even so upset at himself when he cheated that he is now carrying medication that would prevent himself from getting drunk at any cost. Then Teresa drugs him and r*pes him what??????. It's so weird that the relationship between Jihu and Yuhui is so romantically developed and no one else is with Jihu yet the harem pairings keep on coming. It's just so out of place and I kinda get the feeling that the author forget to finalise all of the harem pairings in the main story so he's just quickly stuffing it in the side stories. The overall novel was really good and I would recommend but beware of alot of the side stories. There are a few nice side stories involving his family or the whole Memorize ramen plot but the weird r*pe harem out of character chapters are so distasteful.
