I really loved this. I was a bit nervous about reading this because of a few comments, but I am glad I gave it a try. While there are some translation mistakes and there is a small scope of improvement, I would say that I had no difficulty understanding the story. There is no overdramatic dog-blooded plot and the story is consistent.

Most importantly, unlike many rebirth novels, the romance here MAKES SENSE. ML and MC don't love each other because of some past-life guilt but because they have genuine feelings.

The... more>> antagonists get what they deserve and I did not feel a slight bit pity for them.

If your dad gets people to kidnap you and wants to mu*der you just for some s*upid inheritance, he totally deserves to be punished. If you feel pity for ML's dad, then sorry, but you need to go to a psychologist.

You know, I enjoyed the plot line. It's a semi-sweet and fluffy romance. Translation could be better but to be honest there isn't anything too complicated with the plot so you can get the gist of what they are saying fairly easy.

I enjoy reading this story actually. A good break between the angst-filled ones I have been reading.

Honestly, the translation isn't bad--it may be MTLed--but it's pretty good. So, don't let the other reviews about the translation turn you away.

The story isn't unique or stray too far from the typical rebirth trope but it's enjoyable and provides a good break.

The refreshing thing I didn't expect was that the MC didn't seek revenge. He really wanted to just focus on saving his family and living his life. I also really like how the MC told the ML about his rebirth and his reaction to it.

If you like a slice of life and a less dramatic story, this novel would be for you. I would recommend this story to others. It's not a long read, the plot and characters aren't overly complex and relatively stay within character, the MC and ML are rational (not seeking revenge for every little thing but rather because they were defending themselves), and there aren't any/ many typical trope misunderstandings and drama.

There are many nsfw moments in the novel which I adore~ This author is more restrained and doesn't go into that much detail--but it still fulfills my rotten core for some 'action'. So do be careful as many times there aren't any warnings ahead.

It's Absolutely Wonderful Novel! Great start, Satisfying Ending!

The MC and ML both are wonderful! Their Supporting Characters all are Great! The plot goes steady. The Bad People get what they deserve. The Side CPs get their Happily Ever After Ending too. It's all Great!

Sure it's not perfect, but to me it's rather Perfect. And I'm Absolutely Satisfied!

It has one of Spectacular moment that feel so Awesome!

It was when MC get kidnapped. But the spectacular moment was when ML threatened to burn his 'family' who pay the people to kidnapped MC. While also having the ML's other family members who support him listening to their conversation on the other side of wall/room.

The Faceslapping in here has different way and taste than usual faceslapping for Family Conflict compared to many other novel.

The ML's bad family is not caught in jail. But they slowly destroy their own selves by using drug. Though it was also because I think ML nudged them secretly to that direction? Okay, I actually forgot if it was planned by ML or it was the 'good' coincidence.

While MC's way of Revenge is just don't get close to the people who had betrayed him and having good loving life with ML!

Also the Extras is great! The Extras contains the story of Side CPs and our Main CP. For one of the side CP, I don't have attachment toward them, so I was worried I wouldn't like the story. But apparently the author did good at make their story Heartwarming and nice. So I really like it! Not many author can just make the side CP story simple but likable, okay! So this author did Great job!

The point is lot of things in this Novel is Lovably Great Absolutely Wonderful !!! I really Adore and Love it So Much with All My Heart and my Soul and My Eternal Love for the Eternity and Beyond!

initially dropped this at ch5 because it was hard to read and understand the translation, but then it was retranslated and was definitely better afterwards, as for the story, I think it was good, but somehow there were some parts that wasn’t given enough attention... it wasn’t as fleshed out despite there being potential for making the plot better... there’s no shortage of fluff and feel good moments but it could have been better if some of the plot points were explored a bit better (?)... but this is definitely... more>> a good read <<less

The gist: mediocre at best, dog food is plenty, very plot-holey, feels dragged out despite being only 80 chapters. If you want something quick to sate your BL itch then this might be something to consider. A novel that’s a 3.5 at best, but with enough bias it pulls up to 4-stars. Would definitely not read again tho.

MC is not anything special, but I appreciate that he doesn’t blindly seek vengeance. He focuses more on how to protect his family & finds happiness for himself. ML is your doting president... more>> that holds a lot of baggage. I found it funny how his personality did a 180-spin as soon as he confirmed MC’s feelings for him. He instantaneously went from awkward flirt to shameless wolf. I have a personal bias for doting male leads & he sure lives up to his character tag. <<less

Rating: 4/5- Good read with some intensive family drama.

I really liked the dynamic between the MC and ML. I think firstly, the ML was incredibly respectful and treated the MC wonderfully. Even with his mensao moments, you never feel like he’s crossing the line or being ridiculously overbearing or possessive. I think he was a really kind and wonderful character.

I liked the MC as well, I think he was level headed and not overly vengeful. His calm thinking and desire to do better in this life- especially for his family-... more>> was well portrayed.

Now, the dog blood drama is indeed dog blooded and vicious, but in my honest opinion- those people had it coming.

I think it can be interpreted as overly dramatic or cruel or really unnecessary but also how many times do we as people wish for selfish and cruel people to get their just desserts. This novel really dished out karma for me, and I enjoyed its family politics. It was much better than some of the other arranged marriage, fight for the property plots I’ve read before.

There are a number of minor plot holes here and there, but nothing too big that messes with the story. I did find the details around the MLs mother’s death a bit unclear as well as the whole family dynamic with the second uncle. I wish his character along with the aunt could have been further expanded as they seemed quite interesting.

Overall, it’s very enjoyable with lots of dog food and a really lovely ML. <<less

Dramatic family drama but cute couple. The story started off quite sweet when MC and ML got to know each other and slowly developed feelings. Up till the first half where they really really got together, the novel was pretty sweet and cute. Afterwards, the story spun off into some marital bliss and that was sweet too. Side couples were very cute and I liked them. ML was very doting too and MC was very thoughtful.

its not bad. the story tho is a bit too bland for my liking as not many interesting things are happening. maybe I shouldn't blame the story just maybe wasn't in the mood for a simple plot.

if anything it's about a reborn guy who gets rid of his scum bf who dragged him for 8 years of his life and cheated on him and restarts his life from back to the time he was still in university and not yet officially with scum. tis life instead of disagreeing to the... more>> marriage proposal he had received he accepts it and that's where the story ultimately begins. their marriage starts out with them living like roommates and friends and slowly the MC realizes the ml's love for him and they truly get together. after that its just some daily life and some situations that crop up with ml's family etc somewhere after chapter 40 is when there is a short kidnapping other than that nothing much to the story. I even wonder how they plan to drag it to chapter 80...i cant say I recommend it or not this will have to depend on preference.

if ur in the mood for something more exciting this is not it, nor does it have extreme fluff and overflowing romace. <<less

Beautiful story with a great translation by insidethemirror (this is the first time I've seen so many translator notes, very helpful for beginner cnovel readers). I really like the main couple, they're a match made in heaven. I think the plot was pretty predictable, of course there's the face-slapping and retribution and though it feels pretty cliche at times it was enjoyable. I like the side pairings too, even the dog got a partner lmao. My favorite aspect of the novel is the characters. They were very interesting, it felt... more>> like the author put a lot of thought into making their characters so it felt like I could easily be reading about these people in the news and it was easier to imagine each scenario playing out because I could really get a feel for the characters.

One thing that caught me off guard though... The MC has long hair? Exactly how short did he cut it... I think a bit more could have been said about their appearances if the author suddenly throws something like that in because I was imagining him with medium-short hair the whole time until the haircut scene. That was only one scene though and it's not a problem, it just really did catch me off guard while reading lol.

Also, I recently read one story where the MC takes out all his anger on people that wronged him in his past life by ruining them and leading them to their demise in the current life... Even though they hadn't done anything to wrong him in the new life. I dropped it and didn't bother reviewing it because it left a bad taste in my mouth. This novel differs in that the retribution is rightly served to the people that deserve it. In my opinion it can be a hard read because it gets pretty graphic at times, but it's a "what goes around comes around" situation so I felt that it wasn't too bad to read. I didn't exactly enjoy it personally but I think it can give a sense of satisfaction to see those bad people get what they deserve while the MC on the other hand also gets what he deserves, which is love and an extremely doting and caring husband.

Although I did like the novel the first time around, I tried giving it a second go and it just didn't do it for me. The novel falls flat a lot of times, the romance was pretty lacking (in that it feels very superficial), and honestly the 'retribution' scenes really are just too ugly for me to read again. I wouldn't give this novel a third read around. Once was enough. <<less

It's good. Definitely deserves higher ratings and recognition. I'm leaving the outer rating as 5 (personal rating is diff) (i wanna bump it up if possible ngh).

As stated by the summary and others, the story is about the MC who led a unlucky first life. He got transferred back to his younger days and agreed to the ML who proposed marriage, which was the best decision ever. All throughout the novel, how you'll definitely see the reason for the title lol, TRULY A GOLDEN MARRIAGE. Full of open communication... more>> and love, you'd truly feel that finding your fateful half could be a wonderful thing (seriously, the 3 main tags really speak for the story lol, making me feel them both as an old couple at times because of their way of things (communucation, living, etc.) and then young couple especially when they papapa haha). ML is a men sao, truly making us feel how the MC is his everything (treasures all their firsts, takes care of mc's wellbeing, all the thick skins and PDAs, his words and vows and actions that just make one squeal). In return, the MC also gives his all in loving the ML

poor ML though, that scene really made me sad for him (It would be more floodgates if those scenes were fleshed out more.. welp, past and present bam!) Truly a missed opportunity. Sad for the people on that timeline (lol 2nd life talkin bout death anniversary, which made ML get a longetivity pendant) but at the same time, without that, how would things develop in the second world? Packed with future knowledge, and being with the ml, he first got shield for fam, and prevent revenge of 2 antagonists, ex and scam, then ML got his beloved and was able to truly live and then bam affecting lives of others also because of butterfly effect

On another note, most of the time, I feel the huge amount of dog food (mainly from the main cp then side cps. All the happiness and love and other actions (i got happily surprised at that charity thing during their marriage registration anniversary And the historical play //cough yellow book made real). I felt no lacking for the characters (maybe a little for his other roomates and some other people but weren't really a huge role), as most of them were paid attention to and well developed (Even some side charas get a backstory and readers gets name (nothing like everyone having that one reaction and/or thought that didn't have details). Somewhat large cast though, I had to get a few chaps to steady myself with all the names and how some are shortened or called with honorifics.

Also thankful for the translator !!! (i could recommed this to those people new to chinese novels because the hardwork on the footnotes, and they're easily seen/can get accessed to). I'm even amazed that they provided links on tumbler to view past, TOC, and next chapter.

With how cute and short and no open endings nor feeling of loose ends, I could prolly reread this again especially if I wanna feel love from ML and more wisdom and actions from the MC (I felt his maturity and steadiness. Also uwu as how he adapts to situation (IM SIMPING FOR BOTH OF THEM CRI). Truly golden marriage. <<less

the story is verrrrry good

the MC is strong person before even rebirth he wasn't someone who will accept injustice laying down you will now what I mean reading the first chapter his reaction about his EX was the first time to see it like that

there is good amount of drama and fluff here in the story, you will see how the MC little by little fall in love withe ML and later both of them deal with drama in each other life both of them very supportive of each other.

there... more>> are other relationship in the story beside the main couple with good balance between straight and gay couple which is good. The translation is little bumpy but still understandable, I am really thankful for translator for introducing this story so go read it. <<less

The plot is pretty simple, but the author managed to not make it bored and put a twist on it.

Even without ML help/interference, I think MC will still do fine on his own.

This couple is very sweet, ML is very sweet and devoting to MC and succeeds in melting MC heart.

Rarely read a first chapter with a MC so dumb. In this novel, he didn't get duped, no he gave his lover and his family's lover everything, by his own choice ! Who would help his lover's family over his own (in cases of financial problem), unless you hate your own relatives. Which author would let his framework at another's home ?! Unless you dropped your story...

I hope that the following chapters will be more smart.
