Spoiler

someone who didn't exist until now got introduced, made to be loved and admired, given importance to the plot if alive, during this time the MC even got a change of heart and mentality to stop genociding everyone, her story ends through the generic bad guy out of screen IMPLIED execution (because the last thing we know/happens is MC saying we will never see each other again, as he leaves jail, btw it was next-day execution, even though she was one of the main pillars of the country, without any real rivals or opposition (she was loved and admired by all apparently), and everyone knows and there was proof that she and her mini-army of half merc half friends or something, were being controlled and brainwashed, by someone else. like wtf when you think that the true mastermind and he was not being controlled was left unscathed. also some bs stuff about her not able to cope with what she has done and wants to die, even though she didn't do anything and the only people she killed while charmed got revived. btw her DAUGHTER is the one said to execute her by chopping her head (off-screen obv and also WTF), that was chap 298, chap 299 doesn't even once mention her death, the execution, or how the daughter both lost her mother and executed her. she is laughing and joking around in chapter 299....???????

I liked it a lot at first. It's not like I didnt see the bad reviews but I dont think of myself as someone who has high standards, so I like to read things for myself first. Plus, I tend to be more lenient towards the protagonists.

Now, like other reviewers said, the side characters are much more interesting than the MC, which I thought was normal, since MC is just supposed to be an average high school boy. What frustrated me the most though, as I read more into it,... more>> is that MC doesnt really do anything important. In the war, he doesnt pick a side and decides to stay neutral, which I thought was reasonable. But even then, as a neutral party, I found his actions so frustrating. He seems to want to encounter less trouble, but the fact that he is so hesitant about his decisions and takes zero initiative for anything, he just makes the situation more troublesome. Then when he finally took initiative, I thought it was great, but then became disappointed because I just couldnt help but disagree with his decisions. Another thing, he is just... very ignorant. I think Im only realizing how much it bothered me as Im writing this

Spoiler

another reason why Im even more frustrated is the fact that that Ilumgand boy got killed. A commenter in the chapter said that just because we saw the Ilumgand boy's side of the story, we shouldnt pity him for being killed because that doesnt excuse for what he did wrong. I totally understand that and in the same time dont. Why? Because the boy didnt seem to actually do anything bad in the first place. His emotions were used against him so he could be manipulated and ultimately killed. I wholeheartedly believed that such a boy could change and would be given another chance. Instead, I was disappointed to see that he got killed because he was apparantly a bother to Makoto. It made me feel like they were belittling what a human life is.

[collapse]

Anyways, the only reason I stayed was because I was looking forward to Makoto meeting Hibiki, but I dont think I care anymore. This makes me agree with what another commenter said. You just never reach that satisfying climax youre looking for <<less

While this particular web novel does have its problems, I'd give it a 4.5/5 so far. I've read many novels of the "Isekai" genre and I can say that this one, while it has its many cliches, is a bit unique. The main character of this novel transfers to the next world not because of truck-sama and its many affiliates, but because of his love for his family.

It starts off in a very slice of life like way, but becomes emotionally stimulating when we see the main character be mistreated... more>> by the goddess. The story from there is build-up upon build-up as we see the daily tasks of the main character and his companions and the undercurrents of whats happening in the world.

There is no main "goal" per say in the very beginning of the book, but the main character obtains more goals as he continues his life abroad, so the story is not very linear in the beginning. What's the cause behind this? In RPG terms, the main character is not the hero of this transferred to another world story, but is instead the hidden tier boss stronger than the final boss that must not be fought.

Spoiler

The entity who aids in sending him over tells him to just live his life the best he can and to take care of the two that were transferred before him, being a nice dude bro to the counter of the "bug" tyrant tier goddess. His maltreatment makes him want to give the goddess a beating, which becomes one of his goals. The other goal of his is to return home to japan. But while keeping a connection to all his companions that he views as family

[collapse]

Toward almost a quarter of the currently released chapters, our main character solidifies one of his end goals while exploring the world. What was once just an annoyance becomes the clear threatening big bad (with a truly ugly personality) when this antagonist decides to interrupt with our "Overpowered" main character's life and almost causes his death. While he has power, he has only one "cheat tier" ability: the power of speech. Here's the catch with our main character in the first few arcs of the story:

Spoiler

Makoto is overpowered in the beginning compared to other beings because of his upbringing and secret talent, but he does not know how to properly wield his power. Imagine having a large battery but no device to use the battery's power, and that would be the state of the main character. His strength comes from his bad luck rather, as the ability granted to him is more like a curse, but using this ability allows him to "talk" with anything, except humans.

[collapse]

I've seen some *"beta" MC* reviews that try to express that the main character is some rehashed dense personality that we've all seen before. Its an R-15 web novel for Pete's sake, but its later explained why he takes certain actions:

Spoiler

He starts as if he's your average Japanese transferred hero fighting for the sake of friendship, but the story takes a turn thanks to his support. The main character originally had ability because, spoiler within a spoiler, He's not a human. As he nearly dies he awakens his battle instincts, which become stronger and sharper the more he fights. There's foreshadowing later of the "darkness" within the main character himself, as he starts to disregard the lives of his enemies, becoming a happy-go-lucky cold killing machine. Some of the aspects of his personality are shown to be fake as if not thought of by him, but just some contradictory thoughts he's following, all up to when he's fighting with himself internally. Romance wise it's revealed that he pushes off the two female followers romantically interested in him because it might kill his urge to return home, but he resolves himself to take further steps very later on in the story.

[collapse]

Other than what's written above, the main character is not very expressive in his day to day matters, because of the story setting itself. He's the one average looking person in a world of extremely beautiful people and handsome "humans", to the point where he's seen and treated as if he's some kind of ugly demi-human hybrid, which has created in him a bias towards humans. He accepts that he is incompetent in areas, which is realistic with him being a teenager after all. For that, he has the help of his followers that are more experienced than him in a range of hundreds to thousands of years. What can be frustrating sometimes is the main character's complex about himself. He has no pride as the "strong" of the world, which causes many unnecessary developments as enemies try to feel him out and often end up committing su*cide by Makoto. What makes these developments fine as they are is our main character's conviction that strength isn't everything. Because of his and his followers' strength he's drawn a line as an existence that no power wants to upset. We see where he envies one of the other heroes for their ability to get along with everyone. His complex has stopped him from becoming a mu*der-hobo though, as one of his love interests would like nothing more than to kill everything that would get in his way, he becomes the voice of reason who only kills when its really needed instead of the "hero of justice" who acts valiantly for the sake of the humans. Essentially, he is a walking, talking, deus ex machina for those he chooses to help that must hide his own ability away from the antagonist.

The story is slowly moving (especially the romance), so many details are explained. While this sometimes leads to more boring chapters, it works as a great build up for the action and comedy chapters. Much of the current novel chapters are about "world building", in a literal sense. There's multiple point of views from side characters to main characters, through which we learn the true "substance" of this world. We also see the viewpoints of the others that were transferred within the main character's time-frame. The two heroes of the book are introduced, one a dark caricature of the "Alpha MC" our dear young readers love so much. A social reject who was just a bullied kid now power-tripping. The other is the epitome of the hero archetype with a smarter and darker twist, a scheming hero who does not accept the teachings of the goddess, but acts properly as a hero of the human race with a grudge and bias towards the demon race caused by the loss of a companion. For once, the power of friendship became detrimental.

Our antagonist has basically screwed the world up beyond a quick repair with her blatant favoritism towards one race. With her negligence, the wold has shifted into a state of war, and our main character, who wants no say in the matter of "fixing" this biased, war stricken, world gone totally insane through war can only play as a neutral party:

Spoiler

He doesn't take major action in the war against humans because of a deal made with the goddess. He acts as a neutral party who will support both sides' sickly and poor persons and those demi-humans that are tired of the war

[collapse]
.

While he is powerful, he does not seek participation in the war, leaving it to our incompetent hero and the too competent hero to fight these battles.

For all the groups other than our main character's group and some select persons, it is a high tension, high stakes fantasy world where powers are having internal conflicts with each other while also at war with another race.

Spoiler

Countries are vying for supremacy over each other using the heroes as cards on the table. Characters unaware of the strength of the main character's group are scheming on how to use or kill them, an anti-goddess religion created by those neglected for hundreds of years trying to change the world the goddess controls through any means possible, and a princess hell bent on revenge trying to destroy that same goddess and maybe the world itself. The story overall has a deeply chaotic foundation.

[collapse]

Overall, I'd recommend giving it a read if you're into slowly developing stories with a unique cast of characters. While it has its action parts, consider this story more of an adventure-drama-slice of life caused by a near peaceful rebellion towards the ways of the fantasy world.

TLDR: story of a deus ex machina main character and his apostles living life, doing charity work, and preventing the major screw ups of others until he can fight a goddess and willingly shift between worlds. A really slow read, but a nicely executed plot (so far). <<less

I love this story. It is definitely one of my favorites, slong with tr*sh of Count family and To be the power in the shadow. The main character is a little frustrating sometimes. But he was 17, so it was unreasonable to ask for too much. Shiki is definitely my favorite character, every household need 1 of him.

What makes this series great?

The only thing I can think of is that the other characters felt alive. What do I mean by that? Other characters experience growth and have their own agenda. The world moves without MC. And because most of the story revolves around the MC perspective, we get to be confused with him when a character shows growth off screen.

I was there Gandalf. I was there 3000 years ago.

Well back to the review, it seems that the author is showing signs of life, will it be for the better? We don't know.

Gullible MC regrettably and the worst of all the one that put himself excuses to not act. He likes to stay neutral I'll give him that but neutrality is a hell of a position when other powers threat you like a fiddle. Honestly, the MC left his balls somewhere in his homeworld because the author doesn't understand that... more>> neutrality needs determination to not to pick a side or create your own side neither of those the MC has, he will only react when they do something to him or his group stating his inability to foresight dangers or threats (doesn't matter if he's OP).

His standing requires decision even if you make mistakes you can learn from them, I hoped he matured enough to understand something like this.

It was not bad that was what I told me years ago but the MC of Hachinan tte, Sore wa Nai Deshou! Isn't that different to this MC.

I want this novel to be completed at least. <<less

I got hook on the story its great with flying colors. All except our naive MC. Man, if he's real I'll punch him in the face.

Spoiler

His naivety gives me cancer seriously. I managed to tolerate some of his way on how to approach the conflict. All except on how he handle Pione's hatred. I started to get pissed at how he summoned the Door just to ask why it needs a 1000 souls as payment, I actually agreed to what some of the words the Door said to him but it gone too far. Then I get irritated on how he killed the girls like nothing to be afraid of the concequences. Like killing the child of your neighbor and walk like nothing happened. Then it arraived to how he handled Pione's hatred (Itachi Style) is when I lost it. He's the one who wronged the girl yet he showed her in illusion on how they killed her family just so to stop her hatred towards the MC. Then its because MC is so op they just accept it and compromise.

If I could beat Harem Hero or MC in a room with 100 beatings, I'll beat Harem Hero 30 times and the MC with 70.

Haters gonna hate and vice versa.

This novel isn't for everyone.

The novel is set out like a typical isekai novel, however it has it own twist that really adds a unique feel to the story.

... more>> That is: mediocrity, Inertia and partial indifference. (If ur interested, u got to read it :P)

In my honest opinion, though the MC is quite naive, there is a sense of maturity that radiates through the way he acts.

Not hot-headeded but patient, not stubborn but flexible, not emotionally invested in every single event but impartial.

This is a humble novel, one that doesn't sate the temptation of self fulfilment, one where the MC is living life and seeing where fate leads him. Life is long, frustrating, annoying at times, but it pays off and so does this story.

By no means do u have to agree with me, this is the meaning I derived from the novel.

I hope this review was a tiny bit helpful. <<less

Revised review

This novel is what is wrong with light novel readers you are all so used to reading bottom of the barrel (tr*sh) novels that you take it as the average. Let me be frank we have a handful of novels that are actually good the rest are absolute tr*sh as readers we need to keep authors to a reasonable standard. There are far better out there we can do better you can do better. The reason for this long ass review is I want better for this community... more>> and feel that novels are getting worse because the authors do not care about the quality of their work. The authors seem to be just ticking boxes (harem, OP MC, s*upid enemies and reckless s*upidity disguised as what they call intelligence) its the exact same thing over and over again.

The novel gets better but is still ravaged by the same issues for example the comedy is terrible and falls flat and seems to disappear later on. I have noticed a lot of its main fans have dropped it I keep coming back hoping they fix this mess as it has so much potential.

The biggest issues are:

  1. The biggest issue on everyone's mind is the MC he is not naive he's borderline ret*rded I do not know where some of the advocates for the MC intelligence are from but where I am from he would be the kid that dropped out of high school on the first day.
  2. Every other character is far is far more compelling than he is and why they choose to follow him always boils down to the fact he is OP. Tomoe and Mio are with him because of the fact he is OP think about it apart from the fact he is OP they have no reason to be with him this is the MC attraction (Bullsh*t) were the females fall for him only because of the MC plot armor. He is kind that is it being kind is not something women automatically fall for like this novel makes it seem.
  3. The novels world building is amazing but ultimately let down by the less than stellar MC in which we have to view it through he does not learn from his actions and ultimately makes the mistake over and over again which gets tiring quickly.
  4. The most liked review points out this has no plot, romance or development which basically means it doesn't have any of the most compelling qualities of a novel its comedy which is its main selling point begins to disappear after C90. The author trying to create depth but truthfully to anyone with common sense it falls flat but the potential is still there but is sadly wasted.
  5. The Insanely OP who just manages to fight against far more skilled enemies and gods is said to be the a realistic portrayal of an MC. If you call this novel a realistic portrayal of a MC you are an idiot seriously he isn't realistic if he was then he would be dead when he met Tomoe for the first time or of thirst due to how long he walked in what I believe is a damn desert in the early chapters before he understood his powers. Cut that sh*t out his character is said to be down to earth he goes from struggling to hold a conversation with someone from earth to talking to kings and gods with little to no character growth.
Original review

This a book you read when you have no other options.

I do not want to make it seem like I'm bashing light novel readers but the main positive noted by a lot of advocates for this light novel is that it has intelligent plot which I will point out to any person that reads other types of books you will find laughable. I'm sorry but a character mentioning something early on that will clearly be important down the road is not intelligent writing this novel is full of filler of which the majority though it pertains to the later chapters is not interesting.

If you are looking for action or romance this book is not for you it has text book cheap comedy which seems copied from any basic harem light novel. I was hoping for a flawed MC that has character growth but in this aspect it is some what lacking up until very late into the novel. The main character seems like the textbook idiot MC that should have died early one but keeps being saved by luck and the fact he is OP. He takes a long time to grow as a character but then regresses to the person he was in the beginning I feel its just an authors sad attempt for depth.

You can skip the first hundred or so chapters and not really miss out on much which is the hallmark of a terrible book.

I'm not calling anyone's intelligence to question but anyone having said that it contains intelligent writing really hasn't seen intelligent writing.

In conclusion this is a very slow book with a lot of filler and poor writing which needs work but the the potential is there so its a 3/5 at best and that is me being generous.... very generous <<less

This story is a good time passing read, that is about it though. I've read a lot of it and although I probably will read the rest it will only be when I have run out of other things to read. There isn't really anything in this story to hook you. It basically becomes a slice of life in another world story with characters that are kind of two dimensional and useless.

Even when stuff starts to happen it is just solved instantly and the main character is just like "well... more>> that's that." He then proceeds to do an inner monologue for five chapters afterwards. He will then think about his stance on things... over and over and over again until something else happens and rinse and repeat.

This is what happens when a writer makes a story with no clear image or plan for where they want the story to end up. It becomes a mass of meaningless drivel that is only good for reading when you're bored out of your mind. I give it three stars for entertaining me in the beginning, and because I hope that the potential that was there in the start gets realized. The grammar and spelling isn't too bad and there are a few interesting parts but they are so few and far between you might end up forgetting about the last one when the new one comes to light. <<less

One of the coolest parts about this novel is that it's unpredictable, and at the same time pulls you in enough to see what happens next. The way it's written describes the scenes in perfect detail but at the same time gets straight to the point in what the readers seriously want to read while providing all the right context to understand so it is nothing like 200 chapters worth of story but a novel to boot.

Although the character development is slim at best they really emphasize what each character... more>> is about. Although the plot moves at a reasonable pace there is still a lot going on so to those that didn't rate real high, I know your patience is thin but with all that's going on you should have the anticipation to at least predict what's about to happen. Another thing I like about it. Despite being unpredictable the characters, the thoughts of the characters, the world and all of the demons and gods, the author indeed gives clues as to what might happen next. <<less

The novel seemed really interesting at first but quickly degenerated. The MC is a typical overpowered idiot who always makes extremely incompetent mistakes for his followers to clean up after him. While I don't expect him to be some genius, he almost always never makes the right decision and let's himself be slapped around. While the novel has some unique points, the author doesn't expands on them and has zero character development. It's an extremely boring novel that quickly gets tiring to read.

This is a light hearted story that can hit serious times. It is meant to be a slice of life story of a person in another world and it achieves that. You follow Makoto on his journey through his everyday life and his interactions. He isn't supposed to be your OP Wuxia novel protagonist that slays all and deus ex machinas to achieve higher places. He is a Japanese highschool student in personality with a connection with the other world from his parents. You'd expect him to act like one... more>> and from what I can see, he is in the character established by the author a majority of the time. He does have his flaws, but that is to be expected of a student. His naivety only shows how inexperienced to his situation he is and the influence from his japanese upbringing shines through. He is not a gritty character that will do what ever it takes to get things his way, that isn't how Makoto was built up to be. The plot follows Makoto, occasionally prodding him here and there to move along his progress, but that is fine. A slice of life needs not to be too heavily sunken in deep and meaningful events full of drama and tragedy. This is a fine display of what a fantasy blended with an everyday story can become and achieve. That isn't to say that this misses drama and important events either. It finds a fine balance between becoming too plot heavy and everyday shenanigans to result in a blend that is an enjoyable, everyday reading experience.

4.5/5 - Has it's flaws, but displays the characters favourably considering their circumstances. Read for occasional feats of power and everyday happenings. <<less

I enjoy this novel quite a bit. I don't remember my impressions when I first started reading but now, this far in the story, I enjoy it a lot. I like the character development and how our MC has grown on me. Maybe I just like battle-freaks and it's sounding like this is heading in that direction? It's hard to say, I'll edit this in the future if my opinion changes or I have a clearer way of putting my thoughts into words. Anyway, 5 stars from me.

4/5 because it's written at the pace of a slice of live novel, but isn't one.

I was on the same page as most of the reviewers here. It started out great, but quickly went generic and boring. Everything was way too convenient and supporting his behavior as the the typical beta male. I was considering dropping the novel.

Then everything comes back to bite him. People use him because he's so passive. He gets exploited and his (temporary\current) home wrecked. He's forced to realize that just because someone isn't an enemy... more>> doesn't mean they're an ally. The MC undergoes actual character development. <<less

I don't know what author want with the story, he blatantly avoiding plot progression. The MC really annoying, he got OP but keep trying resolving problems with his non-existant brain, courage and wisdom. When we got to plot point the author amazingly pending it's progression with 7-10 filler chapters.

The story is.... I dont know how to say it... it has potential but it does not use it, and there is the problem (and btw. later I will try to give the MC tips to look better....)

To be honest it has one of the best beginnings I have seen in this transported to another world genre and I liked the first chapters but at some point I could not take it anymore and I read it only to see if it changes for the better and at chapter... more>> 85 is still didn't change....

The good parts for me are the comedy as he meet the first god (forgot his name), the way he was welcomed to this new world (i find it funny although I must say it was a d*ck move from the bug goddess...), the fact that he has OP powers but he cant use them to the full potential because he isn't used to them and I like the way how he interacts with the demi humans and monsters (i like the idea of a city full of fantasy creatures....)

The thinks I don't like are that we are reminded nearly every chapter how ugly the MC is. (I think that he isn't ugly Rembrandt said that : "Ah that’s right, it had such a strong sense of individuality that it made me lose my words." and I think that there is the problem I too am not the best looking (i am shot and have a wide build (fat) but most of my family looks like that and if there is one think that can make a person look better then its a beard I swear I would look good with a beard, and the MC is 18 I think ? It would be really funny if he got a beard and the people around him would be surprised that he looks good suddenly)

Then there is the fact that he ignores the feelings of his first 2 attendants (good looking woman) because he says that they are a nuisance. He could at least say thank you or AT LEAST HUG MIO !!!! as a symbol that not only they care for him but that he cares for them too but no ! the MC must be an as*hole to them! and many other thinks I don't like but they are thinks I personally don't like and some people would like them so I wont write them....

All in all it had and has still potential (believe me get a beard you ugly motherf*cker and start lifting that could too help) if Reincarnated as a Dragon’s Egg could after such bad ending make a twist and be from one moment to the next a good novel then every novel can do it ! (the author could implement some info about japanese archery and make it that way more interesting I think)

I will give this novel another chance and believe that it will become better. <<less

BAD PLOT. There is no plot. No goal. For the summary of this story is Makoto is live and overpowered so he do some business. Really? Only that? Yeah, only that.

BAD ROMANCE. There is one chapter that suddenly, makoto is in heat so he say love to both of his follower and sleeping with them. EVEN THOUGH he clearly says that he thinks of them as sisters. Ofc it's ok for them to sleeping together but if there is no love it was same as he went to brothel for... more>> one night love. So why not just do that and not sleeping with your sisters? And wow!! Suddenly our MC is not pathetic anymore. He had s*x after all.

And why do they like Makoto? Tomoe even follows Makoto only because she is interested in other world cultures and because Makoto is strong, not because of Makoto's character. And Mio was only attracted to Makoto's mana. Is it because they turned into girls that they have feelings for Makoto? If they turn into boys will they still like Makoto and lust for him? Why do they lust after Makoto like they are virg*ns when they have lived for hundreds of years?

BAD PROTAGONIST. He is pathetic boneless beta male that use raw power or using his powerful subordinate to get what he wants like a villain. YES. He is the villain. There are some who support saying he is pathetic boneless beta male because he is just a high school kid. But do high school students who live in peaceful worlds, who never kill animals, suddenly feel guiltless when they kill living creatures there?

When he first came to isekai, he killed a monster just because he wanted someone to talk to. Then he destroyed a village JUST BECAUSE his pig friend taught him some moves. Is it an evil village? Yes they are evil but it is a wild world after all and it's not necessarily to eradicate them. He just suddenly directly shot arrows at them without any prior confrontation.

Then after meeting Tomoe and Mio, they destroyed a city just because they were fighting for strength and jealousy. So what was the solution? Makoto brainwashes the survivors and says the city is destroyed due to the attack of evil monsters. What about those who died and the city itself? Yep he doesn't care.

Then the war between hyumans and demons. It was fine for him not to side with anyone. But what did he do after that? He was doing business with the two of them that could potentially prolong the war. And what is he doing business for? Whereas a person does business to fulfill his wants and needs. Why is he doing business when he already has everything? And hey, he says he's not siding with anyone, but he's interfering with both of them anyway.

And I still don't understand why the moon god would willingly give his power to makoto. They don't know each other. There is no definite reason why the moon god is kind to makoto. And it's okay to give strength, but he gives strength even to the point where he can't form again? Impossible.

BAD VILLAIN. WAIT! There is no villain. Goddess? No way. Ofc she is goddess and OP but she can't do anything to MC because she is the goddess and cannot do interfere with mortal world. And after she do some action to our MC, suddenly, there are god from other world and that god restrict the action of goddess so she is not OP anymore. The heroes, Hibiki and Tomoki? Both of them is powerful but they are just like a baby in front of our OP MC. MC is like bullies to them. He can do what he want because he has power but the heroes and other not because they are not as powerful as mc? So villain-like.

BAD SIDE CHARACTERS. They are just one dimensional characters.

Tl;dr Not recommended. I don't know why I'm still read it until chapter 305. <<less

So, after such a long time of reading the novels/manga, I finally decided to leave a review for Tsuki Ga Michibiku. If you noticed above, have read every single chapter that is currently available and translated, and I am going to give this 4 stars.

There are alot of great things about this novel and story, many aspects that I really enjoy and like. For instance, characters are well built, solid, and (for the most part) understandable. The world is solid, the lore is decent, and the rules of the world... more>> are consistent.

The ACTUAL plot is very well done, as well as the slow-burn romance between the MC and the 2 female assistants (Tomoe and Mio). Everything is also translated pretty well, especially in the later chapters where grammar is no longer an issue.

Now, the reason why I am giving this only 4 stars.... the filler. I understand, the world is alive, the world doesn't revolve around the MC nor his company. Things and people move in the world outside of the MC's sphere, which is great! BUT, the filler content for this novel is absolutely nuts! Chapters upon chapters of filler content that, plot wise, don't mean anything. These filler chapters are mostly there to help flesh out some of the side characters, but if your are in this for the plot... it's incredibly painful to read.

While I am constantly on the look-out for that next chapter or chapters that bring the MC and the tr*shy heroes back together, those aspects seem to get further and further apart with each chapter. Point-of-view characters are not bad, but I wouldn't mind some more female hero POV chapters. Idk, I enjoy seeing her come to the realization that the MC is simply someone she cannot handle and the dread that gives her.

If you don't mind 30+ chapters of filler between each story arch, then this novel is for you. On the other hand, if your like me and want to get into the actual plot and drive forward, the fillers are simply a pain. I'll keep reading, because I want to see how this ends, but just be warned: Fillers galore. <<less

The story and the world building are top class.. I enjoyed it and recommend it..

But if you ask about something I find strange is about the MC but maybe other people find it annoying and may hate it even.. Its about his growth in mentality and the way to think in a broader way is really slow and I wonder why.. Like it takes at least 50 chapters for him to take a new idea or some thing that helps him to grow his way of thinking and how to... more>> interact with people.. It started with him looking at people in black and white, like their is good and bad and NOT looking at the ulterior motives at all like their is non.. And took him 200 chapters to understand that they have ulterior motives and ideals every one has.. Its strange why he is so slow on getting things in his head..

But for me its one of the best novels that I've read so I recommend it <<less
