He was an F-rank Hunter. To top it off, he was a useless F-rank loser of a big brother who dragged down his incredible younger brother.

While he carelessly lived out his messed-up life, he ultimately took his younger brother’s life.

He regressed back in time with the title, Perfect Caregiver.

“Okay, this time, let’s lay low and take care of the talented ones instead.” He thought.

But those S-ranks are acting a little strange.

Simply by the aspect of being more side character-oriented with a few interesting character dynamics, this story already has a lot going for it. However, the main selling point for me was the fact that it put explores a new system-oriented world without shoving its alienness (there is a better word for it but I cannot think of it) down the readers throat. A lot of the dungeon/system elements are blended in the world much better than when normally applied and overall the read (despite a good but realistically middle-level... more>> translation quality) is quite enjoyable. I look forward to seeing where the story goes.

very good novel but not one of the best.

- For people who wonder why Yoojin and yooyhun are so quick to make up, especially just by saying "i love you", it's because from the beginning yoohyun never hated/disrespected Yoojin. There's not a hint of dislike for his hyung. He loves Yoojin a lot. The love is so great that he has to leave Yoojin and pretend not to care about him (there's a reason for his actions). And for Yoojin, he initially misunderstood yoohyun so he hated him a little... more>> bit, but after seeing yoohyun's sacrifice in the dungeon, he finally understood yoohyun's feelings. That's why when Yoojin started approaching yoohyun again, they quickly made up.

- the concept of Class Hunter here is a bit different from other novels. In other novels, there may be no difference between S-class and F-Class except for their strength and skill. But here, class also affects their mental / instinct. The F-class can't stand side by side with the S-class, it can frighten them even traumatized them. Even though the S-Class doesn't do anything. Yoojin can stand between S-classes because he has Fear Resistance skill. Yoojin's not an OP MC, he's very weak. Even when he rides on a dragon (this is a spoiler) he can get hurt because the dragon scales are hard for normal human skin to endure. His skill, even if it's top level, he can't use it himself. Most are skill related to buff. That's why at first he was very careful because one mistake could offend a high-class hunter and could get him killed. Remember, basically Yoojin & other F-class is like any normal human being while high-class hunter is like a superhuman, and S-Class hunter is like a monster.

- misunderstanding & miscommunication between Yoojin & Yoohyun, that's pretty annoying. But don't worry, there's a time when Yoojin finally opened his heart and expressed his thoughts to yoohyun. And then they'll be more open to each other. If something bothers their minds, they'll say it instead of keeping it to themselves and become a misunderstanding.

- about Yoojin's regression, he can't tell anyone because it will affect and harm the world system (i won't tell why, because it's a major spoiler)

- Even though Yoojin's appearance is naive, he's not naive at all and even quite cunning. His level of cunning probably equals or even exceeds Sung hyunjae

- what is lacking in this novel is the skill of the character, which is not very clear. They don't explain in detail what the skill strengths of the characters fit into their class. Strangely I could see it at the manhwa, but in a novel that should be more detailed, it actually confused me. <<less

Is pretty fun, the main character is funny in his own way, I also like that there seems to be an intent to keep him weak, at least as far as I've seen. The characters are cute and unique, although I wish the flow of development with them was a bit better. The timing is also pretty odd. As of now only 2 months have technically passed in the novel, but it definitely feels like more time has passed. The events seem to be laid out in the narrative as... more>> happening one after another without a single break, but it doesn't read like that

Honestly the only thing I do dislike is how he doesn't get angry, not just with his brother but in general. These people do literally anything to him and he's at best annoyed by it. It gets frustrating to read when he says "I'm not angry" for the upteenth time and you're sitting there in a pissed off haze going "why not?!" because every right to be

I honestly don't know if id call the novel queerbait, theres some scenes which have definite undertones, but there isnt a romance subplot with basically any of the characters to the MC. And those kind of stories arent that bad either

Now I'm not sure what happened, but likely the og translators got some form of cease and desist and they took down the original translation.

Unfortunately the people who took it up are... Asian Hobbyist who are well know for their bad quality and being specifically in it to make money, I hate being a person who complains about something freely provided, but the people who translate this have a patreon, they are getting money for this and honestly the quality given pisses me off. It seems clear to me that it's a basic direct translation with minimal editing. The readability is just bad, and it's not clear what is even happening.

It's a pity because it was pretty fun before this. If you can put up with it, do your best. Otherwise maybe petition a translation group to pick it up from where the first group left off <<less

So ever since I began to read this novel as I got deeper in I began to realise that the main character's ability was the cause for the extreme reactions of those who received his keyword which makes sense seeing as his ability is activated under certain circumstances, the power bonds his victims, if you will, to him almost like imprinting and it's insane how no one has commented about this seeing as the author gave us the perspective of a persons immediate psychological reaction to his ability.

I mean perfect... more>> strangers had an almost immediate clingly reaction and this chapter even specifically goes into detail about how Kim Sunghan felt like the main character was the only person in the whole world he could trust and his whole perspective took on a rose-tinted view when the ability took its full effect.

Going forward and realizing this is going to change my whole perspective because I am so into found family fiction but highkey its more like a cult in the way if you look closely and notice the details from outside the MC's perception you can see the influence his ability has on others and I do wonder if this will affect the plot later on but definitely interesting but also kind of horrifying.

Other subtle examples like how after his regression and saying the keywords 'I love you' to his brother who for him had just been in a fight with the past MC immediately became docile. The reactions are all subtle enough to be explained away by the situations like the brocon who is startled but happy to receive an I love you from my brother, which makes me believe the psychological effect doesn't brainwash the person or steal they're free will it does overpower people below the legendary level but only influences to a certain degree like a reverse dragon scale or chink in the armor, the person isnt completly whitewashed of self-control or self only feels a sense of connection to MC.

Spoiler

Kim Sunghan excerpt describes the effect and how his mind began to leap from the image of His Grandfather the only person who made him feel loved blending into the picture of the MC. Even describes how he knows the MC isn't his grandfather but the tempation to feel safe to be loved was enough for him to give in to the feeling even though it went against his conscious mind.

'Looking at the extremely young[3] youth, he remembered the seventy-year-old elder. It was to the point of mixing them up.

But that strange feeling of distance quickly disappeared as if erased with great strength.

Leaving only the deep feelings for the elder who was his excellent guardian.'

I have been wanting to read this back then since I see a lot of the tcf and omniscient reader fans recommend this and I'm gonna be honest, the only real similarity I see is through the BL potential. It should be obvious if you're into fanart, just google. It's a similarity these three titles share. I ended up dropping this so my review will only apply up to chapter 45.

Pros:

-MC is a weakling which is rare for regression/time-travel/level-up main characters. I'd like more novels with this premise.
Spoiler

But he does have a sort of skill-inheritance type that doesn't leave him completely helpless.

[collapse]

-Cute pets.

I honestly can't think of anything else.

NOT really cons, may be subjective:

-The story is very MC-centric. Kind of like I Solo-Leveling. There are a lot of side-characters and not all of them gets forgotten after a few chapters but they all orbit around the MC. Not really a bad thing since that's just how this novel is. Hate it or love it.

-BL potential. Reason below.

-Very clingy and possessive characters.
Spoiler

It's an effect from the MC's skill. I didn't like it personally, it makes the relationships feel artificial and brainwash-y to me. They get pretty yandere-ish and often times they barely get along with each other due to their jealousy. The younger brother is especially weirdly written considering his and the mc's ages. Pretty sure it's fanservice.

[collapse]

-MC's plans for his future changes sporadically. Find and raising S-rankers, keeping pets for protection, selling them, stocks, etc.
Spoiler

MC also never really gets rid of his inferiority complex especially when his S-rank brother is around, despite his newfound celebrity status and desirability (his skills). He also makes a lot of decisions that might make you question his maturity. The MC is a regressor but if you're expecting Cale or Kim Dokja level of pre-cognition then you'll be disappointed. I think it's supposed to be an endearing trait but it's not for me personally. He didn't have the likability of Cale nor is he interesting like Dokja.

[collapse]

I was a fan of Omniscient Reader so I wanted something similar to read but this novel really didn't scratch that itch for me. I didn't like how quickly the characters get clingy towards the MC, I can understand liking him but it is waaaay too exaggerated and fast for me which is unfortunate since it's one of the prominent point of this novel. I dislike it but can also see why some people would be interested in this kind of fanservice. The system is also not very polished and some features are revealed in later chapters so it felt like the author didn't exactly finalize the system before they began writing the novel. I'm not personally bothered by it since I've read worse level-system in other webnovels. Be warned that there's anti-Japanese sentiment here and there. What did you think there won't be any? Lol

All in all a very interesting idea but I lost interest due to the author's writing. The webtoon has been recently released and it is drawn by an experienced webtoon artist and author so some parts got re-written for improvement. I recommend checking it out.

I totally love and recommend this novel. At first I kinda confused of the world-building in the first chapter but in the following chapters it get clear enough. I read it until the last-updated and I hope it wasn't discontinued! This novel is worth reading, it suits my taste so well. It's not about killing villain and become superpower or anything but I think it's focused on characters-growth and relationship. The MC (Yoojin) is very adore towards his brother that he regressing to save him. The more I read the... more>> stronger my feelings towards the characters in this novel. I'm very bad at expressing my impression but believe me I really love this novel whole-hearthedly

Things that often makes me so confused in this novel is the way the paragraph jump on another situations without so much distinctions. I found myself muttering like "Huh? Aren't we just in place A before? Why suddenly we're here" like, it's so unclear the way it describe the shift-situation (not all ofc but I think it's many enough).

Fortunately it's just get translated until ch 175 when there's actually more, 600+ ch (still ongoing). I hope it get continued:') I love this novel so much! I'm here after ORV I love them both🤍 <<less

Honestly, I do not understand the low ratings for this book. I mean, I do understand but it still confuses me. This is gonna be a long arse review so please bear with me.

The premise of him regressing is so that he doesn't do s*upid sh*ts (i.e. Doing s*upid decisions and being a f*cking headache to his younger brother) and to make sure that his brother doesn't die all over again. Sure, it does has its resemblance in ORV with all the regression and dungeon and monsters and sh*t and... more>> is also kind of similar towards TFC with his growing harem (don't take it seriously) and being a slacker, but this story has its elements on its own. I love that even if people (the characters) wanted him to stand out and praise him for his (future) knowledge, he always makes sure that he's only supporting the S-Class or the main Hereos and creates opportunities for them to grow. I also love the fact that without his skills, knowledge of the future, or his powers, he's an ordinary human who is a coward and spineless with a huge inferiority complex towards his younger brother. It makes him more real. His fears and inferiority complex make it more relatable especially in this changing world or I guess that's just me. I also love how he's so awkward with people, has a strong resolve to make sure that he stays as a slacker and leech off of his brother's wealth (with the latter being so happy about it), and how he struggles when he says the keyword to make the S-Class become stronger. I also love the side characters! ^^ They are so well made that I'd sometimes think they should be part of the main cast lineup. The jokes are funny and not overused and some are cringey as heck (though the MC cringes at it too, so everything's well).

But I also understand and acknowledge that there are problems in the novel (give me a novel that's so well-made that you can't criticize it for being anything but perfect). Such as (1) racism against Japanese people and Japan (though I understand the sentiments of the Korean people, I still got uncomfortable reading it) though thankfully, it's not on most chapters, (2) the side characters, who are either Unawakened people who are S-Class or tr*sh who has potential to be S-Class, are too trusting towards the MC but I guess that's the side effects of the skill when he uses it on a target, and (3) not respecting the MC's boundaries or personal space and his opinions. The last one irked me the most in the book, as a person who loves my personal space so much, I wanted him to have a breathing space but I guess the MC being the MC (although he minds his personal space and freedom so much), makes sure to word it carefully so that his targets don't misunderstand him and make his hard work go to waste. But honestly other than that, I don't see anything for the low ratings for this book. The novel needs a lot more recognition and love, not hate just because it has elements that are similar to other popular stories (ORV & TFC) or just because it does not suit your taste.

I'm still in the middle chapters but this book definitely passed my humor. I honestly love it, I'm still confused about why people are leaving bad ratings and reviews about this novel. I'm gonna rewrite my review after I read the complete version of the book and we'll wait and see if my opinions and views would still be the same. <<less

To be honest, I'm not sure why it has a lot of low ratings. The idea is good, the execution wasn't too bad, and I found myself speeding through 60 chapters in a single day.

The MC, Han Yoojin, is a failure. Well, used to be a failure. He got a lot of cheat like skills moments before his regression, which were basically his whole foundation.

Truth be told, Yoojin isn't strong. Like, not at all. If he didn't have his fear resistance, he'd be back to who he was from before... more>> the regression.

Spoiler

Yoojin does get a few skills that would help him in battle, but he mostly relies on his friends/comrades/associates to fight. He's more of a support, really.

[collapse]

The first few chapters or so can be a bit too slow paced, but the good sh*t is after about 50 chapters.

Also, this novel might give you bl vibes, despite not technically having any real romance. If you don't like that, it'd be best to stay away.

The side characters were all very well fleshed out, and were all very memorable. Personally, I think they're a bit too obsessed, especially Han Yoohyun, Yoojin's younger brother, but it's not much of a problem really.

What I find the most interesting was the dynamic between Yoojin and the side characters. (Particularly, sung hyunjae and han yoohyun) I find their interactions to be increasingly entertaining, especially when all 3 of them are together.

Overall, it was a fun, light read. If I don't have anything to read, I always come back to this novel, and I suggest that you do the same too. <<less

I think it's an interesting concept, accumulating talents, but it's not very well executed.

Spoiler

Honestly, after chapters 400-500 -ish, I still can't understand what the goal of the "System" is, even though there are multiple interactions with the volleyball administrator. Do they want to swallow up the worlds to grow? Is there sentience? What's the point of the white bird and Han Yoohyun's corpse? These elements are mentioned, but there is no elaboration past the initial information drop. There are some really great characters (Yoon Yoon, Noah, Yoo Myeongwoo, the American lady who can see the past (?) /character's potiential), but they aren't fleshed out well, and feel like fanservice "cute" characters. Yoon Yoon in particular feels forgotten until their specific dungeon comes up, and Yoo Myeongwoo is a part of the System team during chapters 600-700? I don't understand the author's choices for these characters, and as a result, I feel less attached.

[collapse]

I've seen comparisons to tr*sh of the Count's Family, and while I can see it, it doesn't have the same structured flow of events, where the growth of the enemies and protagonists make sense. The "villain"'s motives and methods are simply not clear, so the story feels drawn out. Almost as if the settings were too big for the story, and it's either rushing past pertinent information or collapsing onto itself?

Spoiler

I will say that the fandom works that experiment with the settings are quite interesting, and that the character cast keeps me reading. Trying to understand the plot frustrates me.

It's a well crafted story in a fresh trope. I enjoy regression stories where the MC doesn't have all the cards and has to be socially strong instead of physically. However with this series I felt they held back a little to much on everything.

It speaks to the quality of the novel when my complaint is I wanted more of everything. I liked all the characters but they're too one-dimensional to love. I enjoyed all the scenarios but none of them gripped me like the kidnapping close to the start.... more>> His powers are cool but he doesn't go all in on either finding talent or raising pets.

I could sum up the issues with how many conflicts and conversations are repeated. How many times does he get kidnapped or have a conversation with his brother about safety. Or the guild leader talking about how he is an item or him talking about raising peoples 'kids'. None of these are bad or uninteresting but each one has been used a minimum of 5 times in 160 chapters (3 kidnapping but you get the idea).

I would recommend this to fans of the trope (tr*sh Count, RIM) and people looking for light hearted stories. I wish they took more liberties with the story and experimented but what can you do? <<less

It's honestly a really good novel. The characters are amazing and their interactions are great. It's not perfect, a little confusing at times, but it's so enjoyable. Basically a good novel that's fun to read. I always look forward to the new chapters. I gave it a 5, because it's perfectly aligns with my interests, especially when the characters are possessive...

This is so good, I'm a sucker for novels with child raising and pets! Besides so far the novel is quite light in term of drama and action, Wich I really like because is a breath of fresh air (at least for me), and the good thing is that despite being light it has and an interesting plot

First read - ch36

I'd paused here because I wasn't into where the story was going, and I got back into it after like two years? When the translated chapters were up to 185.

CH 144 is where I'm currently stopped, and I like the story a lot more than I thought I would since the beginning left me a bit disappointed. It definitely picks up later.

Skimmed to ch186 but I'll be coming back after more chapters are translated.

I love it. More coherent review later.

Idk why I can't stop reading this even though I feel this one is nothing special. It was not bad and also not good, but overall I enjoyed this one tho.

THE THINGS THAT I LIKE:

    • the monsters that MC taming are cute!!! Chirpie is my fav!
    • MC is not an op, but he's a center of all people.
    • i like how the MC make other characters believe in him.
THE THINGS THAT I DONT REALLY LIKE:

    • the plot progress is too slow.
    • the MC always positioning himself in danger, he is too reckless. Tbh it was really annoying.
    • his lil bro is too over protective, but the two of them are really cute tho.
    • sometimes there's unnecessary plot, and the author like to repeat the detail of the story.
So far is 4/5 stars from me, but after reading the spoiler 3/5

its simple but also complicated, and feels like the author forcing something twist but ended up too mixed up.

I'm a simple person, if a novel is fun I keep reading, if it feels like a chore I drop it. That said this was a very easy and fun read for me! I started and caught up in my 2 days off.

The 'ordinary but clever' regressor MC's inner commentary is hilarious and he's sensible but also does wild, reckless things that gives his group of protective, overpowered wards/kids stress ulcers, which a trope that I don't mind! Plot is good and the supporting cast is pretty strong, all unique... more>> from each other and memorable in their own ways. And MC has a flirty thing going on with an "annoying" but powerful guy, haha

Downsides! There are SO MANY little plot lines going everywhere. Basically, this poor MC is overworked by himself 😂
Spoiler

At one point he sits down and lists out everything he has to get done to prevent the end of the world and its like... just go sleep, sh*t

So there are a lot of projects that seem like theyre going to be the focus at the start and then as the plot moves forward it gets left behind. Same with some 2ndary characters.

But not too frustrated by it since it still feels like it will get wrapped up later and the goals of the MC changed when the circumstances changed
Spoiler

from 'let's support my brother well and make the future safer!!' at the start to 'my world will get eaten if I don't do XYZ'

My impression until now.

This is just a story about a villainess princess regression, who get her saint power in her new path and get her harem by all gender, plus a duty by a kind of god to save the world who slowly being swalloed by darkness or miasma.

For me the MC arn't really likeable, I think the author should change the point of view, cuz it just too much chattering about how cute his pet. Sure its about "raised" but the story more focused on his familiar farm, instead... more>> his S class farm, so is not really focused.

What make it fun just intriguing the character named Sung Hyunjae, and his interested with MC, add his yandere brother, is quite a mess. Actually I thought the "raised" is make an effect kind of yandere and possesiveness on target, especially the brother are really cute with his jealously over people who near his brother.

I want to drop this cuz I feel the story aren't really build well (cuz the pet and his chattering), I think it will be f*ckin good cuz the idea raising a strong character, with a lot funny spell (to activated the "raising" skill). End up nah where's the S Class? I know the familiar can be "S Class." but we dont need it. I end up thinkin "it seems the Author just want make a story about how live as vetenarian and sorrounding with a cute animal."

But I still read it until late chapter. Slowly, the thick on the story became quite good, so I will look forward for the new chapter. <<less

A novel created around a "soft post-apocalitpic" world, located in South Korea.

Our MC, aparently a egotistic, scummy guy, surprisingly gets a second chance in life. And in it, he discovers many things, but most surprisingly of all, that he is quite a better person than even his most wild dreams.

Plenty of interesting characters, but not too much dept in neither, except the MC. But I have to disagree with some, they have growth, only a slow, episodic growth that in the span of many chapters, can be appreciated.

Some of the... more>> characters really grow in your heart, and for that is that this novels gets the 5stars from me. Keep going! <<less
